This paper reviews some recent results on the parafermion vertex operator algebra associated to the integrable highest weight module L(k, 0) of positive integer level k for any affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra ĝ, where g is a finite dimensional simple Lie algebra. In particular, the generators and the C 2-cofiniteness of the parafermion vertex operator algebras are discussed. A proof of the well-known fact that the parafermion vertex operator algebra can be realized as the commutant of a lattice vertex operator algebra in L(k, 0) is also given.  相似文献

UniversalC*-algebrasC*(A) exist for certain topological *-algebras called algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. A Frechet *-algebraA has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if every operator representation ofA mapsA into bounded operators. This is proved by showing that every unbounded operator representation π, continuous in the uniform topology, of a topological *-algebraA, which is an inverse limit of Banach *-algebras, is a direct sum of bounded operator representations, thereby factoring through the enveloping pro-C*-algebraE(A) ofA. Given aC*-dynamical system (G,A,α), any topological *-algebraB containingC c (G,A) as a dense *-subalgebra and contained in the crossed productC*-algebraC*(G,A,α) satisfiesE(B) =C*(G,A,α). IfG = ℝ, ifB is an α-invariant dense Frechet *-subalgebra ofA such thatE(B) =A, and if the action α onB ism-tempered, smooth and by continuous *-automorphisms: then the smooth Schwartz crossed productS(ℝ,B,α) satisfiesE(S(ℝ,B,α)) =C*(ℝ,A,α). WhenG is a Lie group, theC -elementsC (A), the analytic elementsC ω(A) as well as the entire analytic elementsC є(A) carry natural topologies making them algebras with aC*-enveloping algebra. Given a non-unitalC*-algebraA, an inductive system of idealsI α is constructed satisfyingA =C*-ind limI α; and the locally convex inductive limit ind limI α is anm-convex algebra with theC*-enveloping algebraA and containing the Pedersen idealK a ofA. Given generatorsG with weakly Banach admissible relationsR, we construct universal topological *-algebraA(G, R) and show that it has aC*-enveloping algebra if and only if (G, R) isC*-admissible.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce an algebraic concept of the product of Ockham algebras called the Braided product. We show that ifL i MS(i=1, 2, ,n) then the Braided product ofL i(i=1, 2, ,n) exists if and only ifL 1, ,L n have isomorphic skeletons.  相似文献

We study theC*-aglebras related to Mishchenko’s version of asymptotic homomorphisms. In particular, we show that their different versions are weakly homotopy equivalent but not isomorphic to each other. We also present continuous versions of these algebras. This paper merges some classifications of G-M-type Banach spaces simplifically, discusses the condition of K 0(B(X)) = 0 for operator algebra B(X) on a Banach space X, and obtains a result to improve Laustsen's sufficient condition, gives an example to show that XX 2 is not a sufficient condition of K 0(B(X)) = 0.  相似文献

We introduce two notions of the pressure in operator algebras, one is the pressure Pα(π, T) for an automorphism α of a unital exact C^*-algebra A at a self-adjoint element T in A with respect to a faithful unital *-representation π the other is the pressure Pτ,α(T) for an automorphism α of a hyperfinite von Neumann algebra M at a self-adjoint element T in M with respect to a faithful normal α-invariant state τ. We give some properties of the pressure, show that it is a conjugate invaxiant, and also prove that the pressure of the implementing inner automorphism of a crossed product A×α Z at a self-adjoint operator T in A equals that of α at T.  相似文献

We show that the convexified topology of a locally pseuod-convex algebra can be determined by an explicit family of seminorms. A natural relationship between some properties of locally pseudo-convex algebras and the associated locally convex algebras obtained by convexification is also established.  相似文献

In this note, we study geometric unitaries of JB-algebras (in particular, self-adjoint parts of C*-algebras). By using order theoretical arguments, we show that the geometric unitaries of a JB-algebra are precisely the central algebraic unitaries (or central symmetries).  相似文献

Introducing Nijenhuis forms on L-algebras gives a general frame to understand deformations of the latter. We give here a Nijenhuis interpretation of a deformation of an arbitrary Lie algebroid into an L-algebra. Then we show that Nijenhuis forms on L-algebras also give a short and e?cient manner to understand Poisson-Nijenhuis structures and, more generally, the so-called exact Poisson quasi-Nijenhuis structures with background.  相似文献

We deal with unbounded dually residuated lattices that generalize pseudo MV-algebras in such a way that every principal order-ideal is a pseudo MV-algebra. We describe the connections of these generalized pseudo MV-algebras to generalized pseudo effect algebras, which allows us to represent every generalized pseudo MV-algebra A by means of the positive cone of a suitable ℓ-group G A . We prove that the lattice of all (normal) ideals of A and the lattice of all (normal) convex ℓ-subgroups of G A are isomorphic. We also introduce the concept of Archimedeanness and show that every Archimedean generalized pseudo MV-algebra is commutative. There exists a separable exact C*-algebra A which contains all separable exact C*-algebras as subalgebras, and for each norm-dense measure μ on A and independent μ-distributed random elements x 1, x 2, ... we have . Further, there exists a norm-dense non-atomic probability measure μ on the Cuntz algebra such that for an independent sequence x 1, x 2, ... of μ-distributed random elements x i we have . We introduce the notion of the stochastic rank for a unital C*-algebra and prove that the stochastic rank of C([0, 1] d ) is d. B. Our main result is the construction of an embedding ofC(T2) into an approximately finite-dimensionalC *-algebra which induces an injection onK 0(C(T2)). The existence of this embedding implies that Cech cohomology cannot be extended to a stable, continuous homology theory forC *-algebras which admits a well-behaved Chern character. Homotopy properties ofC *-algebras are also considered. For example, we show that the second homotopy functor forC *-algebras is discontinuous. Similar embeddings are constructed for all the rational rotation algebras, with the consequence that none of the rational rotation algebras satisfies the homotopy property called semiprojectivity.  相似文献

Let G be a simply-connected complex Lie group with simple Lie algebra g and let be its affine Lie algebra. We use intertwining operators and Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations to construct a family of N-graded vertex operator algebras (VOAs) associated to g. These vertex operator algebras contain the algebra of regular functions on G as the conformal weight 0 subspaces and are -modules of dual levels in the sense that , where h is the dual Coxeter number of g. This family of VOAs was previously studied by Arkhipov-Gaitsgory and Gorbounov-Malikov-Schechtman from different points of view. We show that when k is irrational, the vertex envelope of the vertex algebroid associated to G and the level k is isomorphic to the vertex operator algebra we constructed above. The case of rational levels is also discussed.  相似文献

We continue our work [E. Kaniuth, A.T. Lau, J. Pym, On φ-amenability of Banach algebras, Math. Proc. Cambridge Philos. Soc. 144 (2008) 85-96] in the study of amenability of a Banach algebra A defined with respect to a character φ of A. Various necessary and sufficient conditions of a global and a pointwise nature are found for a Banach algebra to possess a φ-mean of norm 1. We also completely determine the size of the set of φ-means for a separable weakly sequentially complete Banach algebra A with no φ-mean in A itself. A number of illustrative examples are discussed.  相似文献
