Nd2Sn2O7 pyrochlores with the substitution of Zr4+ were prepared by conventional ceramic double sintering technique. The single-phase formation was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and neutron diffraction techniques. Relative intensity calculations for X-ray diffraction analysis were performed for oxygen positional parametersx = 0.331 and 0.375, while Rietveld refinements were employed for neutron diffraction data. The neutron diffraction study revealed that there are only two anion sites with 48f and 8b positions. This indicates that the 8a site, i.e. O(3) sublattice, is completely vacant and the structure is a perfect cubic pyrochlore with space group Fd3m (O h 7 ). From the conductivity measurements, it is observed that the electronic conductivity dominates from room temperature up to about 525 K and forT > 525 K, the oxygen ion conduction dominates the charge transport in these compositions. Complex impedance spectroscopy indicates the existence of grain and grain boundary as two separate elements.  相似文献

The structure and magnetic states of a crystal of lightly doped manganite La0.95Ba0.05MnO3 were studied using thermal-neutron diffraction, magnetic measurements, and electrical resistance data in a wide temperature range. It is shown that, in terms of its magnetic properties, the orthorhombic crystal is characterized by two order parameters, namely, antiferromagnetic (T N = 123.6 K) and ferromagnetic (T C = 136.7 K). The results obtained differ in detail from known information on the manganites La0.95Ca0.05MnO3 and La0.94Sr0.06MnO3. Two models of the magnetic state of the La0.95Ba0.05MnO3 crystal are discussed, one of which is a model of a canted antiferromagnetic spin system and another is associated with the phase separation of the manganite. Arguments are advanced in favor of the coexistence in this crystal of the antiferromagnetic phase (about 87%) with a Mn4+ ion concentration of 0.048 and the 1/16-type charge-ordered ferromagnetic phase (about 13%) with a Mn4+ ion concentration of 0.0625. The specific features of the manganite studied are due to self-organization of the La0.95Ba0.05MnO3 crystal lattice caused by the relatively large barium ion size.  相似文献

The HgO-added YBa2Cu3O7−δ (YBCO) superconductor has been studied for its structural and superconducting properties. Polycrystalline YBCO samples were synthesized through solid-state reaction method by adding HgO in different concentrations without using oxygen annealing. All the samples showed a sharp superconducting transition temperature around 90 K. The X-ray diffraction patterns of all the samples revealed monophasic Y-123 nature. The structural studies were carried out by neutron scattering and Rietveld analysis. The neutron scattering revealed that Hg is not incorporated in the Y-123 system and has shown optimum oxygen concentration. The significant role played by the HgO is to provide oxygen ambient through its decomposition, thus changing the oxygen balance in favour of high Cu-valence state.  相似文献

Magnetization and neutron diffraction measurements have been made on the title pseudo-binary of tetragonal anti-ferromagnets Fe2 As and Cr2 As. In this system antiferromagnetic (AFM) ordering appears below 310 K. The moments are confined in theab plane but unlike in the end members they are tilted off thea-axis. In addition to the AFM structure a weak ferromagnetic behaviour shows up below∼80 K with a rather low moment of ∼0.07 μB per formula unit at 5 K and under a field of 3 T.  相似文献

Powder neutron diffraction and Hi-Q neutron diffraction data have been recorded and analysed in order to obtain the local and long range order of Cu in Cudoped CeO2 with three doping levels of Cu. Rietveld method and MCGR techniques of data analysis for the two types of data reveal that the Cu ion is in the 2+ oxidation state and has a vacancy in its first coordination shell. These deductions from the data analysis fit well with the mechanism of catalysis we propose.  相似文献

Thermophysical, magnetic, and dielectric properties of multiferroic BiFeO3 and Bi0.95La0.05FeO3 ceramic compounds were comprehensively studied. Anomalies of the permittivity near an antiferromagnetic phase transition related to the structural variations were detected. The temperature T N was determined from the temperature dependences of the thermal expansion coefficient, heat capacity, and differential susceptibility. It is shown that the transition point is shifted to higher temperatures as the rare-earth La ion substitutes for Bi. It is established that an insignificant substitution of lanthanum for bismuth enhances the magnetic properties of bismuth ferrite and the magnetodielectric effect.  相似文献

Temperature dependences of specific heat Cp(T) and coefficient of thermal expansion ;(T) for Na0.95Li0.05NbO3 sodium-lithium niobate ceramic samples are investigated in the temperature range of 100–800 K. The Cp(T) and α(T) anomalies at T3 = 310 ± 3 K, T2 = 630 ± 8 K, and T1 = 710 ± 10 K are observed, which correspond to the sequence of phase transitions N ? Q ? S(R) ? T2(S). The effect of heat treatment of the samples on the sequence of structural distortions was established. It is demonstrated that annealing of the samples at 603 K leads to splitting of the anomaly corresponding to the phase transition QR/S in two anomalies. After sample heating to 800 K, the only anomaly is observed in both the Cp(T) and ;(T) dependence. Possible mechanisms of the observed phenomena are discussed.  相似文献

An anti-Stokes luminescence band with λmax = 515 nm of microcrystals of solid AgCl0.95I0.05 solutions excited by a radiation flux of density 1013–1015 quanta/cm2·sec in the range 600–800 nm at 77 K was detected. It is shown that the intensity of this luminescence and the frequency of its excitation depend on the prior UV-irradiation of samples. Analysis of the stimulated-photoluminescence spectra and the anti-Stokes luminescence excitation spectra of the indicated microcrystals has shown that to the centers of anti-Stokes luminescence excitation correspond local levels in the forbidden band of the crystals. Crystal structure and magnetic behaviour of FeCrP have been investigated using magnetization and neutron diffraction measurements. FeCrP crystallizes in orthorhombic FeZrP type structure (Pnma space group,Z = 4) in which Cr atoms occupy the pyramidal site and Fe atoms occupy the tetrahedral site with total preference. Structural parameters including positional parameters have been refined. The refined values of positional parameters for Fe and Cr are quite different from those in FeZrP. The nature of magnetization-temperature curve is suggestive of antiferromagnetic nature withT N = 280 (±10) K. Preliminary analysis of neutron diffraction pattern at 13 K is indicative of a rather complicated magnetic structure.  相似文献

The thermodynamics structural relaxation of Fe73Cu1.5Nd3Si13.5B9 amorphous alloy from room temperature to 400°C has been investigated by measuring the structure factor with in situ X-ray diffraction. The structural information of the atomic configuration such as radial distribution function (RDF) and neighbor atomic distance was gained by Fourier transformation. The research result shows that the amorphous structure remains stable in the temperature range of 30 to 400°C but exhibits distinct changes in local atomic configuration with the increase of temperature. The quantitative determination of the neighbor atomic distance suggests that the degree of short-range order changes by the temperature altering the second nearest neighbor local atomic configuration of the amorphous when structural relaxation occurs. It was pointed out in some works that asymmetry of an electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) line is generally caused by both the electrical conduction and the nondiagonal elements of the dynamic susceptibility of a magnetic subsystem. Direct measurements of the temperature dependences of the conductivity and the EPR line shape in a La0.70Ca0.25Ba0.05MnO3 sample showed that the conduction makes the predominant contribution to the EPR line asymmetry.  相似文献

The crystal structure of BaFe2As2 was studied by high-pressure neutron powder diffraction in the pressure range from ambient to 6.5 GPa as well as in the temperature range from 12 K to 293 K at 4.4 GPa and no pressure or temperature induced phase changes were observed. The compression mechanism of BaFe2As2 was found to be anisotropic as the a- and c-axes are reduced by 2.49 and 3.66%, respectively at 6.5 GPa. Within the FeAs layers the Fe-As and Fe-Fe bonds decrease by 2.49 and 3.66%, respectively. The Ba-As distance decreases by 3.70% while the As-As inter-atomic distance along the c-axis exhibits a complex pressure dependence. The bulk modulus B 0 and its pressure derivative B 0' were determined to be B 0 = 59(2) GPa and B 0' = 6.1(7) at ambient temperature.  相似文献

We have ground bulk samples to obtain nanoparticles of (Ga2S3)1–x (Eu2O3) x solid solutions, the sizes of which were determined using an atomic force microscope. The photoluminescence spectra of the nanoparticles were studied in the temperature interval 77–300 K. We have established the mechanisms for emission and transfer of energy from the matrix to the rare-earth ion, and we determined the Stokes shift (ΔS = 0.7 eV), the Huang–Rhys parameter (S = 16), and the optical phonon energy (ħ−ω = 23 meV).  相似文献

Inelastic neutron scattering experiments have been carried out to measure the phonon density of states in polycrystalline α-ZnCl2 at Dhruva, Trombay. Lattice dynamical calculations, based on an interatomic potential model, are accomplished to study phonons associated with this otherwise extremely hygroscopic compound. Our calculated data are found to be well-compatible with the available measured ones.  相似文献

NaNbO3 and (Sr,Ca)TiO3 exhibit an unusual complex sequence of temperature- and pressure-driven structural phase transitions. We have carried out lattice dynamical studies to understand the phonon modes responsible for these phase transitions. Inelastic neutron scattering measurements using powder samples were carried out at the Dhruva reactor, which provide the phonon density of states. Lattice dynamical models have been developed for SrTiO3 and CaTiO3 which have been fruitfully employed to study the phonon spectra and vibrational properties of the solid solution (Sr,Ca)TiO3.   相似文献

We have synthesized nanosized La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 by a simple low-cost novel synthesis route without calcination at high temperature. The study of these nanoparticles indicates excellent properties similar to colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) materials sintered at ∼1600°C for 20 h. The resulting particle size is in the range of 50–160 nm as determined by scanning electron microscopy. Resistivity measurement has been carried out down to 12 K. The sample shows metal-to-insulator (M–I) transition at 205 K.   相似文献

We have performed neutron diffraction measurements on a single crystal sample of Ca3Co2O6 both in a zero field and in an applied magnetic field. The measurements have revealed details of the zero-field structure of this geometrically frustrated Ising-like spin-chain compound at low temperatures and have also allowed us to examine its magnetisation process. Transitions to the M=Msat/3 ferrimagnetic state and fully polarised ferromagnetic state have been observed. The neutron scattering results are compared with the magnetisation data, where these transitions are accompanied by the appearance of several steps and plateaux.  相似文献

The self-sum-frequency process was firstly demonstrated in Nd3+-doped La2CaB10O19 (LCB) crystal. In addition, simultaneous participation of the fundamental laser in multi-self-frequency conversion including the self-frequency doubling was reported. Emissions at five different wavelengths (525, 529, 533.6, 1050 and 1069 nm) were simultaneously obtained. The output power of the three green visible lasers (525, 529 and 533.6 nm) generated by multi-self-frequency-conversion of the fundamental laser is up to 26.64 mW, and the light-light conversion efficiency is up to 4.85%. The lasers at 525 and 529 nm are very close to the green primary color G (526.3 nm) defined by the 1964CIERGB system, which has potential applications in laser-based high brightness display. The large frequency differences of 4–6 THz between 525 and 529 nm, 529 and 533.6 nm, as well as 1050 and 1069 nm, are also potential useful in generating THz waves by difference frequency generation (DFG) technique in a nonlinear optical (NLO) crystal.  相似文献

The crystallographic structure and magnetic properties of La(Fe 11.4 Al 1.6 )C 0.02 are studied by magnetic measure- ment and powder neutron diffraction with temperature and applied magnetic field. Rietveld refinement shows that La(Fe 11.4 Al 1.6 )C 0.02 crystallizes into the cubic NaZn 13 -type with two different Fe sites: Fe I (8b) and Fe II (96i), and that Al atoms preferentially occupy the Fe II site. A ferromagnetic state can be induced at a medial temperature of 39 K–139 K by an external magnetic field of 0.7 T, and a large lattice is correspondingly found at 100 K and 0.7 T. In all other conditions, La(Fe 11.4 Al 1.6 )C 0.02 has no net magnetization in the paramagnetic (T > T N = 182 K) or antifer- romagnetic states, and thus keeps its small lattice. Analysis of the Fe–Fe bond length indicates that the ferromagnetic state prefers longer Fe–Fe distances.  相似文献

The optical, magnetooptical (Kerr effect and magnetotransmission), and magnetotransport properties of La2/3Ca1/3MnO3/La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 and La2/3Ca1/3MnO3/SrTiO3/La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 heterostructures on SrTiO3 substrates are studied. The contribution of the interface boundary to the magnetotransmission is typical of a material with a transitional composition. It is found that a 2-nm-thick SrTiO3 spacer does not influence the shape and position of the magnetotransmission peak in a field normal to the surface of the heterostructure but increases the contribution of the upper layer to the magnetotransmission in the Voigt geometry and also enhances the magnetoresistance that is due to the tunneling of spin-polarized carriers through the spacer. The Kerr spectra taken of the heterostructures are typical of single-layer single-crystal films.  相似文献
