In this paper, a new criterion of the non-existence of periodic solutions for a generalized liénard system
is given, which generalizes and extends some known results of Sugie et al. The results can be applied to the well-known nonlinear oscillating equation +f(x)h()+g(x)k()=0, and the criterion of the non-existence of periodic solutions associated with this equation is obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence of periodic solutions of Rayleigh equation
where f, g are continuous functions and p is a continuous and 2π-periodic function. We prove that the given equation has at least one 2π-periodic solution provided that f(x) is sublinear and the time map of equation x′′ + g(x) = 0 satisfies some nonresonant conditions. In this paper, by introducing a new operator, improving and generating a p-Laplace operator for some p > 1, we consider the existence of triple positive solutions for some nonlinear m-point boundary value problems on the half-line
where is the increasing homeomorphism and positive homomorphism and . We show the existence of at least three positive solutions with suitable growth conditions imposed on the nonlinear term by using the five functionals fixed-point theorem. In this paper, we consider the following second-order three-point boundary value problem
where f : [0, 1] × R2 R is continuous, > 0, 0 < < 1 such that < 1. We give conditions on f and two pairs of lower and upper solutions to ensure the existence of at least three solutions of the given problem. Our method is based upon Leray-Schauder degree theory. We characterize the duality of convex bodies in d-dimensional Euclidean vector space, viewed as a mapping from the space of convex bodies containing the origin in the interior into the same space. The question for such a characterization was posed by Vitali Milman. The property that the duality interchanges pairwise intersections and convex hulls of unions is sufficient for a characterization, up to a trivial exception and the composition with a linear transformation. We study a nonlinear periodic problem driven by the scalar p-Laplacian and having a nonsmooth potential (hemivariational inequality). Using continuation methods and bifurcation theory, we study the exact multiplicity of periodic solutions, and the global solution structure, for a class of periodically forced pendulum-like equations. Our results apply also to the first order equations. We also show that by choosing a forcing term, one can produce periodic solutions with any number of Fourier coefficients arbitrarily prescribed.  相似文献

Decay properties in energy norm for solutions of a class of partial differential equations with memory are studied by means of frequency domain methods. Our results are optimal for this class, as we are able to characterize polynomial as well as exponential decay rates. The results apply to models for viscoelastic materials. This paper studies two classical solution concepts for the structure of bicooperative games. First, we define the core and the Weber set of a bicooperative game and prove that the core is always contained in the Weber set. Next, we introduce a special class of bicooperative games, the so-called bisupermodular games, and show that these games are the only ones in which the core and the Weber set coincide.   相似文献

In this paper we establish the multiplicity of positive solutions to second-order superlinear repulsive singular Neumann boundary value problems. It is proved that such a problem has at least two positive solutions under reasonable conditions. Our nonlinearity may be repulsive singular in its dependent variable and superlinear at infinity. The proof relies on a nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder type and on Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem on compression and expansion of cones.   相似文献

The complex oscillation of nonhomogeneous linear differential equations with transcendental coefficients is discussed. Results concerning the equation f (k)+a k−1 f (k−1)+...+a 0 f=F where a 0,...,a k−i and Fare entire functions, possessing an oscillatory solution subspace in which all solutions (with at most one exception) have infinite exponent of convergence of zeros are obtained. All solutions of the equation are also characterized when the coefficients a 0,a 1,...,a k−1 are polynomials and F=h exp (p 0), where p 0 is a polynomial and h is an entire function. We study the limit behaviour of solutions of with initial data k δ 0 when k → ∞, where h is a positive nondecreasing function and p > 1. If h(r) = r β , βN(p − 1) − 2, we prove that the limit function u is an explicit very singular solution, while such a solution does not exist if β ≤  N(p − 1) − 2. If lim inf r→ 0 r 2 ln (1/h(r))  >  0, u has a persistent singularity at (0, t) (t ≥  0). If , u has a pointwise singularity localized at (0, 0).  相似文献
