Regularities of the wide-aperture mode of light diffraction by acoustic waves in crystals with different values of birefringence are considered. The diffraction has been investigated theoretically and experimentally with the aim of applying it in acousto-optic filters used in processing uncollimated optical beams and images. It is proved that the main filtration parameters depend on the birefringence of crystals used in processing luminous fluxes. By the example of wide-aperture filters based on paratellurite, magnesium fluoride, and potassium dihydrogen phosphate crystals, it is shown that the choice of crystals with high birefringence may increase the maximum attainable angular aperture and throughput of devices. It is also proved that application of crystalline compounds of mercury and tellurium (characterized by high optical anisotropy) in filters increases spectral resolution and improves the quality of filtered images. 相似文献

This paper gives the general expressions for the compliance s′ijkl, Young's modulus E(hkl) and Poisson's ratio v(hkl, θ) along arbitrary loading direction [hkl] for tetragonal crystals. The representation surface for which the length of the radius vector in the [hkl] direction equals E(hkl) and representation curve for which the length of the radius vector with angle θ deviated from the reference directions [001^-], [100], [001^-], [101^-] and [112^-] equals v(100, θ), v(001, θ), v(110,θ), v(101,θ) and v(111, θ) respectively, are constructed for nine tetragonal crystals (ammonium dihydrogen arsenate, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, barium titanate, indium, nickel sulfate, potassium dihydrogen arsenate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, tin and zircon). Polarization, spectral, and relaxation features of a new electrooptical effect in oriented layers of chiral nematic liquid
crystals (LCs) are considered. The physics behind this electrooptical effect is the induction of higher order spatial harmonics
in the helical distribution of the director field, which ensures the high speed of electrooptical response. It is shown that
the spectral properties of the electrooptical response can be effectively controlled by varying the optical anisotropy of

The application of quantum chemistry methods in the microscopic theory of H/D-bonded ferroelectrics and antiferroelectrics is illustrated using a comparative analysis of low-temperature order-disorder structural phase transitions in zero-dimensional materials of the K3H(SO4)2 family, zero-dimensional crystals of 5-halo derivatives of 9-hydroxyphenalenone (5Hal-9HPO), and three-dimensional crystals of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) and potassium dideuterium phosphate (DKDP) as examples. In the framework of the Ising model with tunneling, it is demonstrated that (in agreement with experimental data) the transition to the low-temperature ordered phase in zero-dimensional materials is possible only in the case of their deuteration, whereas the quantum paraelectric behavior is characteristic of undeuterated samples. This behavior for KDP crystals is impossible due to the sharp increase in the Ising parameters as compared to zero-dimensional materials. A series of deuterated ammonium dihydrogen phosphate(DADP) crystals were grown and their structures were investigated by using powder neutron diffraction method. In the entire composition range, the deuterated level in the crystals is lower compared with the aqueous growth solution. The deuterium segregation coefficient in the crystals decreases with increasing deuterium content of the solution. The deuterium content in the NH_4~+ group is higher than that in H_2PO_4~- group.In addition, the variations of lattice parameters are shown here. 相似文献

Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (ADP) is a pioneer kind of nonlinear optical crystal. It can be used in various electro-optical, nonlinear optical applications. The pure and different weight percentage of Picric acid doped ADP single crystals are grown using the slow solvent evaporation technique at room temperature. The powder XRD study shows single phasic nature of all the grown crystals. The photoluminescence study suggests that the dopant causes defect in structure of ADP by virtue of vibration relaxation and self trapping exciton. The dielectric constant and the dielectric loss of all the grown crystals exhibited universal behaviour over frequency range considered. The Correlation Barrier Hopping and the Non Overlapping Small Polaron Tunnelling kind of conductivity mechanism are observed. The grain and grain boundary is indentified using the complex Impedance and the complex modulus spectroscopy. The third order nonlinear optical susceptibility is increased on doping the Picric acid in ADP crystals. The results are discussed here. 相似文献

In this paper, the Raman gain coefficients of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate(ADP) and potassium dihydrogen phosphate(KDP) crystals are measured. By using a pump source of a 30-ps, 532-nm laser, the gain coefficients of ADP and KDP are 1.22 cm/GW, and 0.91 cm/GW, respectively. While for a 20-ps, 355-nm pump laser, the gain coefficients of these two crystals are similar, which are 1.95 cm/GW for ADP and 1.86 for KDP. The present results indicate that for ultra-violet frequency conversion, the problem of stimulated Raman scattering for ADP crystal will not be more serious than that for KDP crystal. Considering other advantages such the larger nonlinear optical coefficient, higher laser damage threshold,and lower noncritical phase-matching temperature, it can be anticipated that ADP will be a powerful competitor to KDP in large aperture, high energy third-harmonic generation or fourth-harmonic generation applications. 相似文献

The laser-induced damage performance of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and deuterated potassium dihydrogen phosphate nonlinear optical crystals after pre-exposure to lower-energy laser pulses (laser annealing, also known as laser conditioning) is investigated as a function of wavelength for both the damaging and conditioning pulses. We obtain a quantitative evaluation of the bulk damage performance of these materials by measuring the density of damage events as a function of laser parameters. This new method allows for a detailed assessment of the improvement of material performance from laser conditioning and reveals the key parameters for optimizing performance depending on the operational wavelength. 相似文献

在电光、磁光调制器和传感器等光学器件的制作和使用过程中,经常会产生影响器件性能的弹光双折射.根据折射率椭球分析法,通过系统分析各晶系晶体的弹光效应,提出了若干去除光学器件中静态弹光双折射的方法.主要结论包括:对于正交晶系的双轴晶体,当光波沿着晶体任意一个主轴方向传播时,如果作用于晶体另外两个主轴方向的应力能够满足某一与晶体自身参数有关的倍数关系且不存在剪切应力,则可以去除这两个应力引起的弹光双折射;对利用所有单轴晶体,ˉ43m,432,m3m点群的立方晶体和匀质光学玻璃制作的光学器件,如果能够保持晶体沿着x1,x2轴方向的正应力相等且不存在剪切应力,或只对晶体施加x3方向的正应力,也可以避免沿着晶体主光轴x3方向传播光波的弹光双折射.上述去除弹光双折射的方法对光学器件的设计、制作和使用具有重要参考价值. 相似文献

method are described and illustrated. Density of growth centres increases as the supersaturation of the mother liquor is increased.
Gel grown crystals predominantly show rectangular growth hillocks on their prism faces. In the needle shaped crystals further

大口径KDP/DKDP晶体在强紫外光辐照下产生横向受激拉曼散射效应(TSRS), 受激放大的拉曼散射光将导致激光能量损失甚至激光损伤, 测量DKDP晶体TSRS增益系数对设置激光装置的运行区间以确保晶体的安全使用非常重要。采用高精度光谱仪探测大口径DKDP晶体(氘含量65%)在351 nm激光辐照下的横向拉曼散射信号, 得到了拉曼散射光的增长曲线, 拟合得到的拉曼增益系数为0.109 cm/GW。同时, 实验结果表明晶体体损伤不影响TSRS增长行为, 表明晶体体损伤对拉曼增益系数测量结果的影响可以忽略。 相似文献

The possibility of usage of the spontaneous electrooptical (EO) effect in strontium barium niobate (SBN) crystals for the creation of controlled electroholographic elements is studied. It is found that unipolar EO properties of these crystals with respect to switching their spontaneous polarization make it possible to devise field-controlled holographic elements with reversible energy-independent memory for spatial position of an optical beam. 相似文献
