Ion-pair extraction behaviour of plutonium (IV) from varying concentrations of HCl solution was studied employing crown ethers (benzo-l5-crown-5 (B15C5), 18-crown-6, (18C6), dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6), dicyclohexano-18-crown-6, (DC18C6), dibenzo-24-crown-8 (DB24C8) and dicyclohexano-24-crown-8 (DCH24C8)) in nitrobenzene as the extractant. Ammonium metavanidate was used as the holding oxidant in the aqueous phase and the conditions necessary for the quantitative extraction of the tetravalent ion were found. The co-extraction of species of the type [HL+].[HPu(Cl) 6 ] and [HL+]2·[Pu(Cl) 6 2– ] as ion-pairs (where L represents the crown ether) is suggested.  相似文献

The Sorption of Cu(NO3)2 and CuCl2 by a polymer containing immobilized dibenzo-18-crown-6 from binary and multicomponent ethanol solutions was studied. In the sorbent phase copper exists as the Cu2+ cations, which form a 11 complex with the macrocyclic ligand. The constant of the transfer of Cu(NO3)2 from the solution to the polymer was calculated.ESR spectra were obtained by V. P. Barveno.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Guanidinium-selective membrane electrodes were constructed with dibenzo-24-crown-8, dibenzo-27-crown-9, tribenzo-27-crown-9 or dibenzo-30-crown-10. The detection limits and selectivity coefficients towards different interfering ions, such as Li+, Na+, K+, NH+4, Mg2+ and Ca2+ were determined. The electrode with dibenzo-27-crown-9 shows linear response over the range 10?1–10?4 M, with selectivity coefficients about 10?2 for most alkali and alkaline earth metal ions.  相似文献

A series of double-armed benzo-15-crown-5 lariats (3–8) have been synthesized by the reaction of 4′, 5′-bis(bromomethyl)-benzo-15-crown-5 (2) with 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, phenol, 4-chlorophenol, 4-methoxyphenol, 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde, and 4-acetamidophenol in 43 ~ 82% yields, respectively. The complex stability constants (K S) and thermodynamic parameters for the stoichiometric 1:1 and/or 1:2 complexes of benzo-15-crown-5 1 and double-armed crown ethers 3–8 with alkali cations (Na+, K+, Rb+) have been determined in methanol–water (V/V=8:2) at 25 °C by means of microcalorimetric titrations. As compared with the parent benzo-15-crown-5 1, double-armed crown ethers 3–8 show unremarkable changes in the complex stability constants upon complexation with Na+, but present significantly enhanced binding ability toward cations larger than the crown cavity by the secondly sandwich complexation. Thermodynamically, the sandwich complexations of crown ethers 3-8 with cations are mostly enthalpy-driven processes accompanied with a moderate entropy loss. The binding ability and selectivity of cations by the double-armed crown ethers are discussed from the viewpoints of the electron density, additional binding site, softness, spatial arrangement, and especially the cooperative binding of two crown ether molecules toward one metal ion.  相似文献

1.  Using a conductometric method in a mixed THF-CHCl3 solvent, the complex-forming abilities of bis(ortho-(diethoxyphosphinylmethoxy)phenyl) ethers of oligoethylene glycols towards alkali metal cations have been studied. Complex-forming ability towards Li+, Na+, K+, and Rb+ cations depends very much on the length of the polyether chain. In the case of the Cs+ cation the effectiveness increases monotonically with increase in the number of ethylene glycol units.
2.  The complex-forming abilities of the higher members of the series of podands studied — bis(ortho-(diethoxyphosphinylmethoxy)phenyl) ethers of tetraethylene glycol and pentaethylene glycol — towards K+, Rb+, and Cs+ cations are comparable with, and in some cases exceed, those for 18-crown-6 and dibenzo-18-crown-6.
3.  The enhanced effectiveness of the present class of podands (in comparison with podands with ortho-diethoxyphosphinylphenyl terminal groups) towards alkali metal cations of greater radius (K+, Rb+, Cs+) is explained by the participation of the O atom located at the -position to the phosphoryl group in the coordination.

Cation fluxes from binary mixtures of either Na+, Cs+ or Sr2+ with other alkali metal cations, alkaline earth metal cations, and Pb2+ through a H2OCHCl3H2O bulk liquid membrane system containing one of several macrocyclic carriers have been determined Nitrate salts were used in all cases. The most selective transport of Na+ over all other cations studied was found with the carrier cryptand [2.2.1]. Selective transport of Na+ relative to Li+, Cs+ and the alkaline earth cations was found with cryptand [2.2.2B] and cryptand [2.2.2D]. The ligands 21-crown-7 and dibenzo-24-crown-8 showed selective transport of Cs+ over the second cation in all cases. Several macrocycles showed selectivity for Sr2+ over the second cation with the macrocycle 1,10-diaza-18-crown-6 showing the highest selectivity for this cation of all ligands studied. Relative fluxes from binary cation mixtures are rationalized in terms of macrocycle cavity size, donor atom type and ring substituents.  相似文献

From extraction experiments with 22Na tracer, the exchange extraction constants corresponding to the NH4 +(aq) + NaL+ (nb)NH4L+(nb) + Na+ (aq) equilibrium taking place in the two-phase water-nitrobenzene system (L = 18-crown-6, dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6, dibenzo-18-crown-6 and dibenzo-24-crown-8; aq = aqueous phase, nb = nitrobenzene phase) were evaluated. Furthermore, the stability constants of the NH4L+ complexes in nitrobenzene saturated with water were calculated; they were found to increase in the order dibenzo-24-crown-8 (DB24C8) < dibenzo-18-crown-6 (DB18C6) < dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 (DCH18C6) < 18-crown-6 (18C6).  相似文献

Stability constants ( 1 NB ) of the 1:1 cationic complexes of Li+ Na+, K+ Ca2+ Sr2+ and Ba2+ with benzo-18-crown-6 (B18C6), Ca2+ and Sr2+ with 18C6 and dibenzo-18C6 and Li+, Na+, Ca2+, Sr2+ and Ba2+ with dibenzo-24-crown-8 in a nitrobenzene (NB) solution saturated with water (w) were determined at 25°C by ion-transfer polarography. From these values, distribution constants (K D,ML) of the 18C6-derivative complex cations between the w- and NB-phases were evaluated using the thermodynamic relation:K D,ML =K 1 NB , whereK (mol dm–3) is an overall equilibrium constant of the processes related to the complexation in the w-phase. The data on the distribution of the 18C6-derivative complex cations between the two phases and the complexation in the NB-phase were examined on the basis of an increase in the number of water molecules hydrated to the species relevant to these processes. The 18C6 derivatives showed higher solubilities in the NB-phase than in the w-phase by complexing with the univalent-metal ions, while, for the divalent-metal ions, the derivatives showed lower solubilities in the NB-phase.  相似文献

(Extraction of alkali on alkaline earth metal ions with (sym-dibenzo-14-crown-4-oxy)- and (sym-dibenzo-16-crown-5-oxy)-carboxylic acids.)The extraction of lithium, sodium, potassium, calcium and some other metal ions with dibenzo-4-crown-4-oxy- and dibenzo-16-crown-5-oxycarboxylic acids containing the groups -CH2COOH, -(CH2)2COOH, -(CH2)3COOH, -CH(C2H5)COOH and -CH(C4H9)COOH was studied. The extraction increases as a function of the lipophilic character of the carboxylic acid group. Calcium, barium and strontium ions are better extracted than Li+, Na+ and K+; there are only small differences among the alkaline earth metal ions. Evaluated from the extraction data, the composition of the extracted species was 1:1 (metal/ligand) for Li+, and 1:2 for CaCa2+; Na+ and K+ favour the formation of 1:2 complexes with dibenzo-14-crown-4-derivatives bbut 1:1 complexes with dibenzo-16-crown-5-oxy-carboxylic acids. The dependence of the distribution ratio on pH does not provide unequivocal evidence for the composition of the extracted compounds.  相似文献

The new molecule based on 12-molybdophosphate acid and dibenzo-18-crown-6, [(H3O)(C20H24O6)]2[HPMo12O40]·C20H24O6·3MeCN·H2O 1, was synthesized in acetonitrile and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR, electrospray mass spectra and single crystal X-ray diffraction, indicating that it contains [(H3O)(dibenzo-18-crown-6)]+ cations, where oxonium ions are out of the planes defined by crown ether oxygen atoms, and disordered PMo12O403− anions with α-Keggin structure where the crystal has high lattice energy so that it is difficult to dissolve it. The crystallographic disorder averages Mo-Mo distances and Mo-Ob/c-Mo angles between the M3 triplets and within the M3 triplet. The interactions between crown ether molecules and oxonium ions are hydrogen-bonding with the O(crown ether)-OH3+ distances of 2.510(10)-2.783(7) Å. The interactions between [(H3O)(dibenzo-18-crown-6)]+ cations and PMo12O403− anions are dominantly electrostatic. The electrical conductivity is <10−7 S.cm−1.  相似文献

The products of the reactions between potassium hexachloroplatinate {K2PtCl6} and 18-crown-6 or dibenzo-18-crown-6 in acetonitrile were studied. Pure crystalline compounds [2K·2(18-crown-6)· 2CH3CN]2+·[PtCl6]2-·2H2O, [2K·dibenzo-18-crown-6·CH3CN]2 +·[PtCl6]2 -, and [2K·dibenzo-18-crown-6·CH3CN]2 +·[Pt2Cl10]2 - were obtained. Physicochemical properties of these compounds were studied, and their near- and far-IR IR spectra and thermogravimetric curves were considered. The composition of the complexes is determined by metal:ligand molar ratio and crown ether nature. It was found that acetonitrile is coordinated via the nitrogen atom.  相似文献

Formation of the charge transfer complexes between benzo-15-crown-5, dibenzo-18-crown-6, dibenzo-24-crown-8 and dibenzo-crown-10 and the π-acceptors DDQ and TCNE in dichloromethane solution was investigated spectrophotometrically. The molar absorptivities and formation constants of the resulting 1:1 molecular complexes were determined. The stabilities of the complexes of both π-acceptors vary in the order DB18C6 > DB3OC10 ⋍ DB24C8 > B15C5. All of the resulting complexes were isolated in crystalline form and characterized. The influences of potassium ion on the formation and stability of the TCNE molecular complexes were studied. Effects of the crown ether structure and the role of the K+ ion on the formation of charge transfer complexes are discussed.  相似文献

The binding constants,K N, of sodium and potassium 8-anilinonaphthalene-1-sulfonate (ANS) and of sodium 5-dimethylamino-1-naphthalenesulfonate (DNS) to benzo-18-crown-6 bound to a 2% cross-linked polystyrene network (RN18C6) were measured spectrophotometrically in dioxane and the results compared with those obtained for picrate salts. The network RN18C6 was then used to measure in dioxane and toluene by a competition method the equilibrium constant,K, of the reaction AM+N+CrAM+Cr+N.AM+N denotes the ionic solute (ANS, DNS, methyl orange or picrate salt) bound to the network RN18C6 (N) and AM+Cr is the solute bound to a soluble ligand Cr, where Cr represents a series of 18-crown-6 and 15-crown-5 compounds. Combining theK N andK values the formation constants,K L, of the crown ether complexes of the respective salts were obtained in dioxane. The data show a reversal in the complexation strength of the 18-crown-6 compounds in dioxane when sodium picrate is replaced by sodium ANS. The results were rationalized in terms of a synergistic effect exerted by dioxane, with dioxane forming a 1:1 dioxanate with the crown ion pair complex. This effect is especially strong with ANS and with a rigid planar crown ether like dibenzo-18-crown-6. The binding constants,K N, of NaANS and NaDNS to RN18C6 in dioxane are nearly three times larger than for sodium picrate, and the same holds for the potassium salts. Differences in anion interactions with the network appear to be a plausible cause for the anion dependence ofK N.  相似文献

New mixed complex compound aqua(dibenzo-18-crown-6)potassium (dibenzo-18-crown-6)(tetrachlorocuprato(II)-Cl)potassium, [K(CuCl4)(Db18C6)]? · [K(Db18C6)(H2O)]+, is synthesized and its crystal structure is studied by the method of x-ray structural analysis. The structure includes two independent complex ions, both of guest-host type: two cations K+ are located in the respective cavities of the Db18C6 crown-ligand (one in each) and each is coordinated by all its six O atoms and one Cl atom of the anion-ligand [CuCl4]2? or O atom of the ligand water molecule. Coordination of these two K+ cations is completed to hexagonal pyramidal one by formation by each of unusually weak coordination bond K+π(\(C\dddot - C\)) with two C atoms of respective benzene ring in the neighboring Db18C6 ligand. In this crystal structure the complex anions and cations form dual infinite chains via these coordination bonds and interionic O-H?Cl hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Photocured polymer electrolytes, applied onto a porous polypropylene separator, with conduction by lithium cations (1 × 10−4 S cm−1 at 20°C) are designed. The polymer is formed from a 1 : 1 mixture of oligourethane dimethacrylate and polypropylene glycol monomethacrylate, which are capable of undergoing polymerization via double bonds in a liquid organic electrolyte (0.5 M LiClO4) in a 1 : 1 mixture of propylene carbonate and dimethoxyethane. The polymer electrolyte comprises a polymer composition (20 wt %), a liquid electrolyte (78 wt %), and a photoinducer (2 wt %). Effect of insertion of dibenzo-18-crown-6 into the electrolyte on its electrochemical characteristics (on the electrolyte/Li interface) is investigated. Dependences of the bulk conductivity and exchange currents at the interface on the temperature and storage duration are studied at different crown ether contents.__________Translated from Elektrokhimiya, Vol. 41, No. 5, 2005, pp. 646–650.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 by Yarmolenko, Efimov.  相似文献

Charge transfer to matrix molecules was found to be the principal photochemical reaction of the radical cations Me4Sn and Me6Sn 2 . It was shown that the difference in the localization of positive charge in the ground state of these radical cations (at the Sn-C bond in Me4Sn and at the Sn-Sn bond in Me6Sn 2 ) did not affect the pathways of their photochemical reactions.__________Translated from Khimiya Vysokikh Energii, Vol. 39, No. 4, 2005, pp. 267–274.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 by Belokon’, Pergushov, Tyurin, Egorov, Mel’nikov.  相似文献

Extraction of microamounts of calcium by a nitrobenzene solution of hydrogen dicarbollylcobaltate (H+B) in the presence of dibenzo-21-crown-7 (DB21C7) and dibenzo-24-crown-8 (DB24C8) has been investigated. The equilibrium data have been explained assuming that the complexes HL+, CaL2+, CaL22+ and CaHL23+ (L = DB21C7, DB24C8) are extracted into the organic phase. The values of extraction and stability constants of the species in nitrobenzene saturated with water have been determined.  相似文献

A simple column chromatographic method has been developed for the separation of thorium(IV) from associated elements using poly-(dibenzo-18-crown-6). The separations are carried out from picric acid medium. The adsorption of thorium(IV) was quantitative from 0.0005–0.05M picric acid. Amongst the various eluents tested, 2.0–8.0M HCl, HBr, 1.0–6.0M HClO4 and 5.0M acetic acid were found to be particularly efficient for the quantitative elution of thorium(IV). The capacity of poly-(dibenzo-18-crown-6) for thorium(IV) was found to be 1.29±0.01 mmol/g of crown polymer. Thorium(IV) was separated from a number of cations in binary mixtures in which most of the cations showed a very high tolerance limit. It was possible to separate thorium(IV) from a number of cations such as lanthanum(III), yttrium(III), uranium(VI), beryllium(II) and barium(II) in multicomponent mixtures. The method was extended to the determination of thorium in monazite sand. It is possible to separate and determine 5 ppm of thorium(IV) by this method. The method is very simple, rapid, selective and has good reproducibility (approximately ±2%).  相似文献

Competitive alkali metal cation transport across polymer inclusion membranes (PIMs) containing sym-(alkyl)dibenzo-16-crown-5-oxyacetic acid carriers provides excellent selectivity for Na+ transport with the total fluxes being strongly influenced by the length of the alkyl chain that is attached geminal to the functional side arm in the lariat ether. Removal of chromium(VI) anions by PIMs from acidic aqueous phases was also investigated. Using tri-n-octylamine (TOA) as the ion carrier, Cr(VI) was removed by a PIM to decrease the source phase metal concentration from 1.0 to 0.010 ppm after 30 hours of transport. Competitive transport of Cr(VI) and Cr(III) ions from acidic source phases through PIMs and supported liquid membranes (SLMs) containing TOA and tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) as carriers was evaluated and a very high Cr(VI)/Cr(III) separation ratio of 4800 was achieved with a PIM containing TOA. Competitive transport of Zn(II), Cd(II), and Cr(VI) from acidic aqueous solutions through PIMs containing TOA was investigated. The selectivity order for metal ion transport was: HCrO4 >CdCl4 2–+CdCl3 >ZnCl4 2–+ ZnCl3 . Non-contact atomic force microscopy was used to obtain images of the pores in cellulose triacetate membranes containing a plasticizer.  相似文献
