In this article, the authors prove an existence theorem for periodic boundary value problems for first order functional differential equations (FDE) in Banach algebras under mixed generalized Lipschitz and Carathéodory conditions. The existence of extremal positive solutions is also proved under certain monotonicity conditions. An example illustrating the results is included.  相似文献

Solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations of fourth order are studied. Boundary regularity is proved for solutions that satisfy mixed boundary conditions. Various geometric situations including so called triple points are considered. Regularity is measured in Sobolev-Slobodeckii spaces and the results are sharp in this scale. In this paper we establish the existence of mild solutions for a non-autonomous abstract semi-linear second order differential equation submitted to nonlocal initial conditions. This paper is concerned with the study of existence theorems for multivalued differential systems in infinite-dimensional Banach space: the method used is based on techniques (extension theorem for linear operator, compactly convergent sequences) developed earlier by the authors for multivalued differential systems defined inn-dimensional vector spaces. As an application, the authors consider a distributed-parameter control problem arising in mathematical physics, more specifically, in the study of heat transfer in solids.This work was performed under the auspices of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR).  相似文献

We consider coerciveness and Fredholmness of nonlocal boundary value problems for complete second order elliptic differential-operator equations in UMD Banach spaces. In some special cases, the main coefficients of the boundary conditions may be bounded operators and not only complex numbers. Then, we prove an isomorphism, in particular, maximal L p -regularity, of the problem with a linear parameter in the equation. In both cases, the boundary conditions may also contain unbounded operators in perturbation terms. Finally, application to regular nonlocal boundary value problems for elliptic equations of the second order in non-smooth domains are presented. Equations and boundary conditions may contain differential-integral parts. The spaces of solvability are Sobolev type spaces W p,q 2,2. We study second and fourth order semilinear elliptic equations with a power-type nonlinearity depending on a power pp and a parameter λ>0λ>0. For both equations we consider Dirichlet boundary conditions in the unit ball B⊂RnBRn. Regularity of solutions strictly depends on the power pp and the parameter λλ. We are particularly interested in the radial solutions of these two problems and many of our proofs are based on an ordinary differential equation approach.  相似文献
