Summary The electronic absorption spectra of someSchiff bases derived from 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole have been investigated in organic solvents of different polarities. Assignment of the absorption bands, solvent effects, and spectral structure correlations are considered. The fundamental IR bands and the main signals in the1H NMR spectra are assigned and discussed with respect to the effect of substituents on the phenyl ring. A change of the electrical conductance of the compounds with increasing temperature is observed for the solid samples.

Zusammenfassung Die UV/Vis-Spektren einiger von 3-Amino-1,2,4-triazol abgeleiteterSchiffscher Basen wurden in Lösungsmitteln unterschiedlicher Polarität bezüglich Zuordnung der Banden, Lösungsmitteleffekten und Spektrum-Struktur — Korrelationen untersucht. Die wesentlichen IR- und1H-NMR — Signale wurden zugeordnet und werden mit Substituenteneffekten in Beziehung gesetzt. Im Festzustand zeigen die Proben eine Änderung der elektrischen Leitfähigkeit mit steigender Temperatur.

Summary A potentially heptadentated ligand (apytren) was obtained by condensation of 2-acetylpyridine andtris-(2-aminoethyl)-amine in the presence of lanthanoid(III) cations. Complexes of the formulaLn(apytren)(NO3)3·H2O (Ln=La, Eu, Gd, and Tb) have been isolated and characterized, both in the solid state and in solution, by means of vibrational and electronic spectroscopy and of conductometric measurements. Their photophysical properties, including emission quantum yields and lifetimes, were studied and are discussed.

Zusammenfassung Durch Kondensation von 2-Acetylpyridin undtris-(2-Aminoethyl)-amin in der Gegenwart von Lanthanoid(III)-Kationen wurde ein potentiell siebenzähniger Ligand (apytren) erhalten. Komplexe der ZusammensetzungLn(apytren)(NO3)3·H2O (Ln=La, Eu, Gd und Tb) wurden isoliert und sowohl im festen Zustand als auch in Lösung mittels IR-und UV-Vis-Spektroskopie und Leitfähigkeitsmessungen charakterisiert. Ihre photophysikalischen Eigenschaften, einschließlich Emissionsquantenausbeute und Lebensdauer, wurden untersucht und werden diskutiert.

These have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductance measurements and IR spectral studies.

Zirconium(IV)Schiff base derivatives have been synthesised by reacting zirconium isopropoxide with monofunctional bidentateSchiff bases in different stoichiometric ratios. The resulting derivatives of the type Zr(O-Isopr)3(SB) and Zr(O-Isopr)2(SB)2, whereSB is the anion of the correspondingSchiff baseSBH, have been isolated in almost quantitative yields. Their molecular weights have been determined ebullioscopically and their ir spectra recorded.

Zusammenfassung Es wurden Zirkonium(IV)-Schiff-Basen-Derivate in verschiedenen stöchiometrischen Zusammensetzungen über die Reaktion von Zirkoniumisopropoxid mit monofunktionellen zweizähnigenSchiff-Basen synthetisiert. Die Komplexe vom Typ Zr(O-Isopr)3(SB) und Zr(O-Isopr)2(SB)2 [SB als Anion derSchiff-BaseSBH] wurden in fast quantitativer Ausbeute erhalten. Es werden Strukturen vorgeschlagen, die auf ebullioskopisch bestimmten Molekulargewichten und den IR-Spektren basieren.

Based on the group theory analysis and quantum chemical calculations within the framework of SW X α method (in relativistic approximation for core electrons and non-relativistic for valence ones), the existence possibility of square planar complexes [M4C] and [M4C]2? (M = Al, Ga, In, Tl, Sc, and Y) in gas phase has been shown. The extraction of Kt2[M4C] square planar complexes of carbon in the crystal state is possible too. A high stability of these complexes, in comparison with usual tetrahedral, is achieved due to the formation of five-and four-center bonds (bonds M-M and M-C).  相似文献

The ligand 1,4-dibenzoyl-3-thiosemicarbazide (DBtsc) forms complexes [M(DBtsc-H)(SCN)] [M = Mn(II), Co(II) or Zn(II)], [M(DBtsc-H) (SCN)(H2O)] [M = Ni(II) or Cu(II)], [M(DBtsc-H)Cl] [M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) or Zn(II)] and [Mn(DBtsc)Cl2], which have been characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, UV/Vis, IR,1H and13C NMR and FAB mass spectral data. Room temperature ESR spectra of the Mn(II) and Cu(II) complexes yield <g> values, characteristic of tetrahedral and square planar complexes respectively. DBtsc and its soluble complexes have been screened against several bacteria, fungi and tumour cell lines.  相似文献

This report presents a comparative study on the influence of various N-donor ligands coordinated to methyltrioxorhenium (MTO) on the catalytic activity of olefin epoxidation. A monodentate (4-tert-butylpyridine), a bidentate (4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine) and a Schiff-base ligand were chosen for the coordination to MTO. This report is supposed to act as a benchmark for past and future results in this type of catalysis. Until now, unfortunately, the results are often difficult to compare due to varying sets of reaction conditions. In the present examination, identical reaction conditions were applied to find the optimum in performance. Accordingly, (i) ligand concentration, (ii) reaction temperature, (iii) catalyst concentration, (iv) olefin and (v) the solvent were varied. For labile olefins such as trans-β-methylstyrene, both the monodentate and the bidentate pyridine derivates show very good selectivities and activities with a MTO/ligand ratio of 1:5 at 25 °C. The Schiff-base is only a useful additive for the epoxidation of cyclooctene. Due to phase transfer effects it is difficult to compare two-phase systems (solvent dichloromethane (DCM)) to one-phase systems (solvent tert-butanol). A correlation between rotation speed of the stirrer and the turnover frequency was observed.  相似文献

o-Hydroxyacetophenone (N-benzoyl)glycyl hydrazone (o-HABzGH) forms complexes of the types [M(o-HABzGH)Cl2(H2O)2]Cl and [M(o-HABzGH-2H)OH(H2O)2], where M = Y(III), Gd(III), Tb(III) and Dy(III). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, infrared, electronic,1H NMR and13C NMR spectral techniques. The nephelauxetic ratio (β), covalency (δ), bonding parameter (b 1/2) and angular overlap parameter (η) have been calculated from Dy(III) complexes. Infrared and NMR spectral studies show thato-HABzGH acts as a neutral bidentate ligand in the adduct complexes and as a dinegative tridentate one in the neutral complexes. A coordination number of six has been proposed for the metal ion in all the complexes.  相似文献

In(III) complexes with salicylidene aromaticSchiff bases have been prepared. The nature of the complexes has been studied by microanalysis of the solid complexes, conductometric titration, uv and ir spectrophotometric measurements. The complexes are of the type 11 and 21 [Ligand: In(III)] depending upon theSchiff base. The tendency of the salicylideneSchiff base molecule towards complex formation with In(III) is found to depend largely on the strength of the intramolecular hydrogen bond established between the aldehydic OH group and C=N. Furthermore, it is concluded that theseSchiff bases cordinate to In(III) as tri- or bidentate ligands depending upon the molecular structure of theSchiff base (not as monodentate ligand as previously described). The high molar absorbance of the 12 In(III) complex with salicylidene-o-hydroxyaniline I (17,800 mol–1 cm2) can be applied for the micro determination of small amounts of Indium as low as 0.57 g/ml solution.

Zusammenfassung Es wurden einige In(III)-Komplexe mit (von Salicylaldehyd hergeleiteten)Schiff-Basen hergestellt. Elementaranalyse, konduktometrische Titration und UV- sowie IR-Spektroskopie wurden zur Aufklärung der Komplexe herangezogen. Es werden je nach verwendeterSchiff-Base 11-oder 21-Komplexe gebildet. Die Bildungstendenz der Komplexe mit denSchiff-Basen als drei- oder zweizähnige Liganden hängt weitgehend von Stärke und Ausbildungsmöglichkeit von H-Brückenbindungen ab. Einer der beschriebenen Komplexe ist zur photometrischen Mikrobestimmung von In(III) geeignet.

Summary A semiempirical effective Hamiltonian treatment is proposed for transition metal complexes, taking into accountd-electron correlations, weak covalency of the metal-ligand bonds and the electronic structure of the ligand sphere. The technique uses the variation wave function which differs from the usual Hartree-Fock antisymmetrized product of molecular orbitals extended over the whole complex. The scheme is implemented and parameters describing the metal-ligand interactions are adjusted to reproduced-d-excitation spectra of a number of octahedral MF 6 4– (M=Mn, Fe, Co, Ni) anions, Mn(FH) 6 2+ cation, CoCl 6 4– anion, and a tetrahedral CoCl 4 2– anion. The values of the parameters are reasonable, thus confirming the validity of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

Summary 6-Bromo-2-methyl-3,1-benzoxazin-4-one (1) undergoes an unusual cleavage at position 4 when it is allowed to react witho-phenylenediamine or anthranilic acid in dry benzene to give the corresponding compounds2–5, respectively. The reaction of1 withSchiffbases and azines results in the formation of the compounds6a–d and8a,b, respectively. The reaction involves a cleavage of theSchiff base or the azine into its amine and arylidene moieties which are smoothly incorporated into1 via nucleophilic attack of the amine at position 4 and condensation of the aldehyde with a reactive methyl group, at position 2 respectively. No displacement of the arylidene segment was observed.

Die Reaktion von1 mitSchiffschen Basen und Azinen führt zu den Verbindungen6a–d und8a,b. Die Reaktion verläuft über eine Spaltung derSchiffschen Base oder des Azins in ihre Amin- und Arylidenreste, die über einen nucleophilen Angriff des Amins an Position 4 und Kondensation des Aldehyds mit der reaktiven Methylgruppe in Position 2 glatt in1 übergeführt werden. Es wurde kein Arylidenaustausch beobachtet.

The article describes the synthesis and single-crystal X-ray analysis of two sulfato and one thiocyanato copper(II) complex with 2-acetylpyridine S-methylisothiosemicarbazone (HL) of the formulae [Cu(HL)SO4(H2O)]·H2O (1), [Cu2(HL)2(μ-SO4)2]·2H2O (2) and [Cu(HL)(NCS)(SCN)] (3), as well as the structure of the protonated ligand H2L+I. Complexes 1 and 2 were obtained from the reaction of aqueous/methanolic CuSO4·5H2O and ethanolic/methanolic H2L+I solutions, respectively. Complex 3 was synthesized by the reaction of methanolic solutions of Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O, the ligand and NH4SCN, with the addition of triethyl orthoformate. All three complexes have a slightly deformed square-pyramidal structure (τav = 0.15) with the tridentate NNN neutral ligand in the basal plane. In complexes 1 and 3 the apical position is occupied by the oxygen atom of the monodentate SO4 group, or the sulfur atom of the SCN group. Thanks to the hydrogen bonds, complex 3 may be thought of as having a pseudo-dimeric structure. In the authentic centrosymmetric dimer 2, the oxygen atoms of both SO4 groups occupy also the apical position of both coordination polyhedra, as well as an equatorial position. Complexes 1 and 3 have μeff values characteristic of magnetically isolated mononuclear Cu(II) complexes. In contrast to them, complex 2 has a μeff value of 1.57 BM, which is in agreement with its dinuclear structure. All the complexes, in addition to the X-ray analysis and magnetic measurements, were characterized by IR and UV–Vis spectroscopy and by thermal analysis.  相似文献

Summary. La(III), Cu(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) metal complexes with a novel quadridentate Schiff base derived from 1,7-bis(2-formylphenyl)-1,4,7-trioxaheptane and 2-aminothiophenol were synthesized and characterized by microanalytical data, elemental analysis, magnetic measurements, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV-Vis, IR, mass spectra, cyclic voltammetric and conductance measurements. The extractability of divalent cations was evaluated as a function of relationship between distribution ratio of the metal and pH or ligand concentration. The highest extraction percentage of Cu2+ and Ni2+ showed pH 7.0 and 6.4. It was concluded that the ligand can effectively be used in solvent extraction of copper(II) and nickel(II) from the aqueous phase to the organic phase.  相似文献

New complexes:Zn(Hsalox)(ox), Zn(Hsalox)(NHPh), Zn(Hsalox)(Hsal) and Zn(Hsalox)2(1,2-diMeim) have been synthesised as a result of a reaction of Zn(salox) and Zn(Hsalox)2 (where: salox 2–=OC6H4CHNO2–, Hsalox =OC6H4CHNOH) with 8-hydroxyquinoline (Hox), o-aminophenol (NH2Ph), o-hydroxybenzoic acid (H2Sal) and 1,2-dimethylimidazole (1,2-diMeim). Chemical, X-ray and thermal analyses of the complexes and their sinters have been carried out. Thermal decomposition pathways have been postulated for the complexes. The mixtures about not definite composition have been obtained as a result of a reaction of zinc(o-hydroxybenzaldoximates) with imidazole(Him) and 4-methylimidazole (4-MeHim). The syntheses as well as chemical and X-ray structural characterization of dichlorobis[1-(p-toluenesulfonyl)cytosine]copper(II) (2), its solvated pseudopolymorph containing two methanol molecules (3), dichlorobis[1-(p-toluenesulfonyl)cytosine]cadmium(II) (4), 1-methanesulfonylcytosine (6) and its copper complex dichlorobis(1-methanesulfonylcytosine)copper(II) (7) are described. In addition, spectroscopic studies of dichlorobis[1-(p-toluenesulfonyl)cytosine]cobalt(II) (5), as well as of dichlorobis(1-mesylcytosine)cadmium(II) (8) are presented. Pseudopolymorphs 2 and 3, as well as their 1-mesylcytosine analog 7, reveal square-planar coordination spheres, almost ideal in the case of 2, but considerably distorted in the case of 3 and 7. In all cases, the Cu(II) ion is coordinated by two endocyclic N3 atoms from two ligand molecules and by two chlorine atoms. The analogous coordination sphere was found in complex 4, where Cd(II) lies in the center of a slightly distorted tetrahedron formed by two endocyclic N3 atoms and by two chlorine atoms.  相似文献

The synthesis of rhodium(I) and iridium(I) complexes of the bis(diisopropylamino)carbene is described for the first time. The formamidinium chloride and the free bis(diisopropylamino)carbene (L) were used as consecutive precursor compounds to form the metal complexes. Spectroscopic and, for LRh(cod)Cl, crystallographic data are presented for the complexes LRh(cod)Cl and LIr(cod)Cl (L=bis(diisopropylamino)carbene). The ligand properties of the acyclic bis(diisopropylamino)carbene are compared with imidazolin-2-ylidenes and imidazolidin-2-ylidenes as ligands in related rhodium(I) carbonyl complexes. Bis(diisopropylamino)carbene is the most basic known carbene ligand to date.  相似文献
