The isostructural salts benzene‐1,2‐diaminium bis(pyridine‐2‐carboxylate), 0.5C6H10N22+·C6H4NO2?, (1), and 4,5‐dimethylbenzene‐1,2‐diaminium bis(pyridine‐2‐carboxylate), 0.5C8H14N22+·C6H4NO2?, (2), and the 1:2 benzene‐1,2‐diamine–benzoic acid cocrystal, 0.5C6H8N2·C7H6O2, (3), are reported. All of the compounds exhibit extensive N—H…O hydrogen bonding that results in interconnected rings. O—H…N hydrogen bonding is observed in (3). Additional π–π and C—H…π interactions are found in each compound. Hirshfeld and fingerprint plot analyses reveal the primary intermolecular interactions and density functional theory was used to calculate their strengths. Salt formation by (1) and (2), and cocrystallization by (3) are rationalized by examining pKa differences. The R22(9) hydrogen‐bonding motif is common to each of these structures.  相似文献

The structures of ammonium 3,5‐dinitrobenzoate, NH4+·C7H3N2O6, (I), ammonium 4‐nitrobenzoate dihydrate, NH4+·C7H4NO4·2H2O, (II), and ammonium 2,4‐dichlorobenzoate hemihydrate, NH4+·C7H3Cl2O2·0.5H2O, (III), have been determined and their hydrogen‐bonded structures are described. All three salts form hydrogen‐bonded polymeric structures, viz. three‐dimensional in (I) and two‐dimensional in (II) and (III). With (I), a primary cation–anion cyclic association is formed [graph set R43(10)] through N—H...O hydrogen bonds, involving a carboxylate group with both O atoms contributing to the hydrogen bonds (denoted O,O′‐carboxylate) on one side and a carboxylate group with one O atom involved in two hydrogen bonds (denoted O‐carboxylate) on the other. Structure extension involves N—H...O hydrogen bonds to both carboxylate and nitro O‐atom acceptors. With structure (II), the primary inter‐species interactions and structure extension into layers lying parallel to (001) are through conjoined cyclic hydrogen‐bonding motifs, viz.R43(10) (one cation, an O,O′‐carboxylate group and two water molecules) and centrosymmetric R42(8) (two cations and two water molecules). The structure of (III) also has conjoined R43(10) and centrosymmetric R42(8) motifs in the layered structure but these differ in that the first motif involves one cation, an O,O′‐carboxylate group, an O‐carboxylate group and one water molecule, and the second motif involves two cations and two O‐carboxylate groups. The layers lie parallel to (100). The structures of salt hydrates (II) and (III), displaying two‐dimensional layered arrays through conjoined hydrogen‐bonded nets, provide further illustration of a previously indicated trend among ammonium salts of carboxylic acids, but the anhydrous three‐dimensional structure of (I) is inconsistent with that trend.  相似文献

Neutralization of 4‐[(2,2,3,3‐tetrafluoropropoxy)methyl]pyridine with hydrohalo acids HX (X = Cl and Br) yielded the pyridinium salts 4‐[(2,2,3,3‐tetrafluoropropoxy)methyl]pyridinium chloride, C9H10F4NO+·Cl, (1), and 4‐[(2,2,3,3‐tetrafluoropropoxy)methyl]pyridinium bromide, C9H10F4NO+·Br, (2), both carrying a fluorous side chain at the para position of the pyridinium ring. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction techniques revealed that (1) and (2) are isomorphous. The halide anions accept four hydrogen bonds from N—H, ortho‐C—H and CF2—H groups. Two cations and two anions form a centrosymmetric dimeric building block, utilizing complimentary N—H…X …H—Csp 3 connections. These dimers are further crosslinked, utilizing another complimentary Csp 2—H…X …H—Csp 2 connection. The pyridinium rings are π‐stacked, forming columns running parallel to the a axis that make angles of ca 44–45° with the normal to the pyridinium plane. There are also supramolecular C—H…F—C interactions, namely bifurcated C—H…F and bifurcated C—F…H interactions; additionally, one type II C—F…F—C halogen bond has been observed.  相似文献

In the title cadmium chloride salt, (C3H5N4O2)4[CdCl6]·4H2O, the asymmetric unit comprises two N‐protonated 5‐amino‐3‐carboxy‐4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐ium cations, half a [CdCl6]4− anion and two molecules of water. The Cd2+ cation is located on a centre of inversion and is coordinated by six chloride anions, forming a distorted octahedron. In the crystal structure, alternating layers of cations and anions are arranged along the [101] direction, forming a three‐dimensional supramolecular network via a combination of hydrogen‐bonding and aromatic stacking interactions.  相似文献

The synthesis, 1H and 13C NMR spectra, and X‐ray structures are described for three dialkoxy ethynylnitrobenzenes that differ only in the length of the alkoxy chain, namely 1‐ethynyl‐2‐nitro‐4,5‐dipropoxybenzene, C14H17NO4, 1,2‐dibutoxy‐4‐ethynyl‐5‐nitrobenzene, C16H21NO4, and 1‐ethynyl‐2‐nitro‐4,5‐dipentoxybenzene, C18H25NO4. Despite the subtle changes in molecular structure, the crystal structures of the three compounds display great diversity. Thus, 1‐ethynyl‐2‐nitro‐4,5‐dipropoxybenzene crystallizes in the trigonal crystal system in the space group , with Z = 18, 1,2‐dibutoxy‐4‐ethynyl‐5‐nitrobenzene crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system in the space group P 21/c , with Z = 4, and 1‐ethynyl‐2‐nitro‐4,5‐dipentoxybenzene crystallizes in the triclinic crystal system in the space group , with Z = 2. The crystal structure of 1‐ethynyl‐2‐nitro‐4,5‐dipropoxybenzene is dominated by planar hexamers formed by a bifurcated alkoxy sp‐C—H…O,O′ interaction, while the structure of the dibutoxy analogue is dominated by planar ribbons of molecules linked by a similar bifurcated alkoxy sp‐C—H…O,O′ interaction. In contrast, the dipentoxy analogue forms ribbons of molecules alternately connected by a self‐complementary sp‐C—H…O2N interaction and a self‐complementary sp2‐C—H…O2N interaction. Disordered solvent was included in the crystals of 1‐ethynyl‐2‐nitro‐4,5‐dipropoxybenzene and its contribution was removed during refinement.  相似文献

Co‐crystallisation of, in particular, 4‐iodotetrafluorophenol with a series of secondary and tertiary cyclic amines results in deprotonation of the phenol and formation of the corresponding ammonium phenate. Careful examination of the X‐ray single‐crystal structures shows that the phenate anion develops a C?O double bond and that the C?C bond lengths in the ring suggest a Meissenheimer‐like delocalisation. This delocalisation is supported by the geometry of the phenate anion optimised at the MP2(Full) level of theory within the aug‐cc‐pVDZ basis (aug‐cc‐pVDZ‐PP on I) and by natural bond orbital (NBO) analyses. With sp2 hybridisation at the phenate oxygen atom, there is strong preference for the formation of two non‐covalent interactions with the oxygen sp2 lone pairs and, in the case of secondary amines, this occurs through hydrogen bonding to the ammonium hydrogen atoms. However, where tertiary amines are concerned, there are insufficient hydrogen atoms available and so an electrophilic iodine atom from a neighbouring 4‐iodotetrafluorophenate group forms an I???O halogen bond to give the second interaction. However, in some co‐crystals with secondary amines, it is also found that in addition to the two hydrogen bonds forming with the phenate oxygen sp2 lone pairs, there is an additional intermolecular I???O halogen bond in which the electrophilic iodine atom interacts with the C?O π‐system. All attempts to reproduce this behaviour with 4‐bromotetrafluorophenol were unsuccessful. These structural motifs are significant as they reproduce extremely well, in low‐molar‐mass synthetic systems, motifs found by Ho and co‐workers when examining halogen‐bonding interactions in biological systems. The analogy is cemented through the structures of co‐crystals of 1,4‐diiodotetrafluorobenzene with acetamide and with N‐methylbenzamide, which, as designed models, demonstrate the orthogonality of hydrogen and halogen bonding proposed in Ho’s biological study.  相似文献

The cocrystal salt tetraaquabis[trans‐1,2‐bis(pyridin‐4‐yl)ethene‐κN]iron(II) bis(1,1,3,3‐tetracyano‐2‐ethoxypropenide)–trans‐1,2‐bis(pyridin‐4‐yl)ethene (1/2), [Fe(C12H10N2)2(H2O)4](C9H5N4O)2·2C12H10N2, is a rare example of a mononuclear FeII compound with trans‐1,2‐bis(pyridin‐4‐yl)ethane (bpe) ligands. The complex cation resides on a crystallographically imposed inversion center and exhibits a tetragonally distorted octahedral coordination geometry. Both the symmetry‐independent bpe ligand and the cocrystallized bpe molecule are essentially planar. The 1,1,3,3‐tetracyano‐2‐ethoxypropenide counter‐ion is nonplanar and the bond lengths are consistant with significant electron delocalization. The extended structure exhibits an extensive O—H…N hydrogen‐bonding network with layers of complex cations joined by the cocrystallized bpe. Both the coordinated and the cocrystallized bpe are involved in π–π interactions. Hirshfeld and fingerprint plots reveal the important intermolecular interactions. Density functional theory was used to estimate the strengths of the hydrogen‐bonding and π–π interactions, and suggest that the O—H…N hydrogen bonds enhance the strength of the π‐interactions by increasing the polarization of the pyridine rings.  相似文献

To enable a comparison between a C—H…X hydrogen bond and a halogen bond, the structures of two fluorous‐substituted pyridinium iodide salts have been determined. 4‐[(2,2‐Difluoroethoxy)methyl]pyridinium iodide, C8H10F2NO+·I, (1), has a –CH2OCH2CF2H substituent at the para position of the pyridinium ring and 4‐[(3‐chloro‐2,2,3,3‐tetrafluoropropoxy)methyl]pyridinium iodide, C9H9ClF4NO+·I, (2), has a –CH2OCH2CF2CF2Cl substituent at the para position of the pyridinium ring. In salt (1), the iodide anion is involved in one N—H…I and three C—H…I hydrogen bonds, which, together with C—H…F hydrogen bonds, link the cations and anions into a three‐dimensional network. For salt (2), the iodide anion is involved in one N—H…I hydrogen bond, two C—H…I hydrogen bonds and one C—Cl…I halogen bond; additional C—H…F and C—F…F interactions link the cations and anions into a three‐dimensional arrangement.  相似文献

The monoanion of dihydrogenated corannulene isolated in the form of its potassium salt, namely tris(diglyme‐κ3O,O′,O′′)potassium hexacyclo[11.5.2.04,17.07,16.010,15.014,18]icosa‐1,3,5,7(16),8,10(15),11,13,17‐nonaenide, [K(C6H14O3)3](C20H12), has been structurally characterized for the first time. The X‐ray study confirms the previous NMR spectroscopic prediction that the two H atoms are attached to the same six‐membered ring to form 1,2‐dihydrocorannulene, thus destroying the aromaticity of only one arene ring of the corannulene core. The direct comparison of (C20H12) with the parent corannulene anion, (C20H10), is provided to illustrate the geometry perturbations caused by rim hydrogenation.  相似文献

Three new one‐ (1D) and two‐dimensional (2D) CuII coordination polymers, namely poly[[bis{μ2‐4‐amino‐3‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5‐[(pyridin‐3‐ylmethyl)sulfanyl]‐1,2,4‐triazole}copper(II)] bis(methanesulfonate) tetrahydrate], {[Cu(C13H12N5S)2](CH3SO3)2·4H2O}n ( 1 ), catena‐poly[[copper(II)‐bis{μ2‐4‐amino‐3‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5‐[(pyridin‐4‐ylmethyl)sulfanyl]‐1,2,4‐triazole}] dinitrate methanol disolvate], {[Cu(C13H12N5S)2](NO3)2·2CH3OH}n ( 2 ), and catena‐poly[[copper(II)‐bis{μ2‐4‐amino‐3‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5‐[(pyridin‐4‐ylmethyl)sulfanyl]‐1,2,4‐triazole}] bis(perchlorate) monohydrate], {[Cu(C13H12N5S)2](ClO4)2·H2O}n ( 3 ), were obtained from 4‐amino‐3‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5‐[(pyridin‐3‐ylmethyl)sulfanyl]‐1,2,4‐triazole with pyridin‐3‐yl terminal groups and from 4‐amino‐3‐(pyridin‐2‐yl)‐5‐[(pyridin‐4‐ylmethyl)sulfanyl]‐1,2,4‐triazole with pyridin‐4‐yl terminal groups. Compound 1 displays a 2D net‐like structure. The 2D layers are further linked through hydrogen bonds between methanesulfonate anions and amino groups on the framework and guest H2O molecules in the lattice to form a three‐dimensional (3D) structure. Compound 2 and 3 exhibit 1D chain structures, in which the complicated hydrogen‐bonding interactions play an important role in the formation of the 3D network. These experimental results indicate that the coordination orientation of the heteroatoms on the ligands has a great influence on the polymeric structures. Moreover, the selection of different counter‐anions, together with the inclusion of different guest solvent molecules, would also have a great effect on the hydrogen‐bonding systems in the crystal structures.  相似文献

Derivatives of 4‐hydroxypyrimidine are an important class of biomolecules. These compounds can undergo keto–enol tautomerization in solution, though a search of the Cambridge Structural Database shows a strong bias toward the 3H‐keto tautomer in the solid state. Recrystallization of 2‐amino‐5,6‐dimethyl‐4‐hydroxypyrimidine, C6H9N3O, from aqueous solution yielded triclinic crystals of the 1H‐keto tautomer, denoted form (I). Though not apparent in the X‐ray data, the IR spectrum suggests that small amounts of the 4‐hydroxy tautomer are also present in the crystal. Monoclinic crystals of form (II), comprised of a 1:1 ratio of both the 1H‐keto and the 3H‐keto tautomers, were obtained from aqueous solutions containing uric acid. Forms (I) and (II) exhibit one‐dimensional and three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bonding motifs, respectively.  相似文献

The structures of 5‐(2‐hydroxyethyl)‐2‐[(pyridin‐2‐yl)amino]‐1,3‐thiazolidin‐4‐one, C10H11N3O2S, (I), and ethyl 4‐[(4‐oxo‐1,3‐thiazolidin‐2‐yl)amino]benzoate, C12H12N2O3S, (II), which are identical to the entries with refcodes GACXOZ [Váňa et al. (2009). J. Heterocycl. Chem. 46 , 635–639] and HEGLUC [Behbehani & Ibrahim (2012). Molecules, 17 , 6362–6385], respectively, in the Cambridge Structural Database [Allen (2002). Acta Cryst. B 58 , 380–388], have been redetermined at 130 K. This structural study shows that both investigated compounds exist in their crystal structures as the tautomer with the carbonyl–imine group in the five‐membered heterocyclic ring and an exocyclic amine N atom, rather than the previously reported tautomer with a secondary amide group and an exocyclic imine N atom. The physicochemical and spectroscopic data of the two investigated compounds are the same as those of GACXOZ and HEGLUC, respectively. In the thiazolidin‐4‐one system of (I), the S and chiral C atoms, along with the hydroxyethyl group, are disordered. The thiazolidin‐4‐one fragment takes up two alternative locations in the crystal structure, which allows the molecule to adopt R and S configurations. The occupancy factors of the disordered atoms are 0.883 (2) (for the R configuration) and 0.117 (2) (for the S configuration). In (I), the main factor that determines the crystal packing is a system of hydrogen bonds, involving both strong N—H...N and O—H...O and weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds, linking the molecules into a three‐dimensional hydrogen‐bond network. On the other hand, in (II), the molecules are linked via N—H...O hydrogen bonds into chains.  相似文献

The hydrobromide and hydrochloride salts of 2‐amino‐5‐iodopyridine were prepared from aqueous solutions. The hydrobromide salt, C5H6IN2+·Br·0.5H2O, crystallizes as a hemihydrate, and exhibits hydrogen bonding and π‐stacking which stabilize the crystal structure. The hydrochloride salt, C5H6IN2+·Cl·H2O·0.375HCl, crystallized as the hydrate and exhibits similar hydrogen bonding and π‐stacking in the lattice. The most interesting feature of the hydrochloride salt is the presence of an additional fractional HCl molecule which introduces disorder in the location of the water molecule. The additional proton from the fractional HCl molecule is accounted for by the presence of a partial hydronium ion on one of the water sites.  相似文献

The crystal structures of 2‐hydroxy‐5‐[(E)‐(4‐nitrophenyl)diazenyl]benzoic acid, C13H9N3O5, (I), ammonium 2‐hydroxy‐5‐[(E)‐phenyldiazenyl]benzoate, NH4+·C13H9N2O3, (II), and sodium 2‐hydroxy‐5‐[(E)‐(4‐nitrophenyl)diazenyl]benzoate trihydrate, Na+·C13H8N3O5·3H2O, (III), have been determined using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. In (I) and (III), the phenyldiazenyl and carboxylic acid/carboxylate groups are in an anti orientation with respect to each other, which is in accord with the results of density functional theory (DFT) calculations, whereas in (II), the anion adopts a syn conformation. In (I), molecules form slanted stacks along the [100] direction. In (II), anions form bilayers parallel to (010), the inner part of the bilayers being formed by the benzene rings, with the –OH and –COO substituents on the bilayer surface. The NH4+ cations in (II) are located between the bilayers and are engaged in numerous N—H...O hydrogen bonds. In (III), anions form layers parallel to (001). Both Na+ cations have a distorted octahedral environment, with four octahedra edge‐shared by bridging water O atoms, forming [Na4(H2O)12]4+ units.  相似文献

In bis(2‐aminoanilinum) fumarate, 2C6H9N2+·C4H2O42−, (I), the asymmetric unit consists of two aminoanilinium cations and one fumarate dianion, whereas in 3‐methylanilinium hydrogen fumarate, C7H10N+·C4H3O4, (II), and 4‐chloroanilinium hydrogen fumarate, C6H7ClN+·C4H3O4, (III), the asymmetric unit contains two symmetry‐independent hydrogen fumate anions and anilinium cations with a slight difference in their geometric parameters; the two salts are isostructural. In (II) and (III), the carboxylic acid H atoms of the anions are disordered across both ends of the anion, with equal site occupancies of 0.50. Both the 4‐chloroanilinium cations of (III) are disordered over two orientations with major occupancies fixed at 0.60 in each case. The hydrogen fumarate anions of (II) and (III) form one‐dimensional anionic chains linked through O—H...O hydrogen bonds. Salts (II) and (III) form two‐dimensional supramolecular sheets built from R44(16), R44(18), R55(25) and C22(14) motifs extending parallel to the (010) plane, whereas in (I), an (010) sheet is formed built from two R43(13) motifs, two R22(9) motifs and an R44(18) motif.  相似文献

At room temperature, 1,2‐hydrogen‐transfer reactions of N‐heterocyclic carbenes, like the imidazol‐2‐ylidene to give imidazole is shown to occurr almost entirely (>90 %) by quantum mechanical tunneling (QMT). At 60 K in an Ar matrix, for the 2, 3‐dihydrothiazol‐2‐ylidene→thiazole transformation, QMT is shown to increase the rate about 105 times. Calculations including small‐curvature tunneling show that the barrier for intermolecular 1,2‐hydrogen‐transfer reaction is small, and QMT leads to a reduced rate of the forward reaction because of nonclassical reflections even at room temperature. A small barrier also leads to smaller kinetic isotope effects because of efficient QMT by both H and D. QMT does not always lead to faster reactions or larger KIE values, particularly when the barrier is small.  相似文献

Quantum‐chemical computations of solids benefit enormously from numerically efficient plane‐wave (PW) basis sets, and together with the projector augmented‐wave (PAW) method, the latter have risen to one of the predominant standards in computational solid‐state sciences. Despite their advantages, plane waves lack local information, which makes the interpretation of local densities‐of‐states (DOS) difficult and precludes the direct use of atom‐resolved chemical bonding indicators such as the crystal orbital overlap population (COOP) and the crystal orbital Hamilton population (COHP) techniques. Recently, a number of methods have been proposed to overcome this fundamental issue, built around the concept of basis‐set projection onto a local auxiliary basis. In this work, we propose a novel computational technique toward this goal by transferring the PW/PAW wavefunctions to a properly chosen local basis using analytically derived expressions. In particular, we describe a general approach to project both PW and PAW eigenstates onto given custom orbitals, which we then exemplify at the hand of contracted multiple‐ζ Slater‐type orbitals. The validity of the method presented here is illustrated by applications to chemical textbook examples—diamond, gallium arsenide, the transition‐metal titanium—as well as nanoscale allotropes of carbon: a nanotube and the fullerene. Remarkably, the analytical approach not only recovers the total and projected electronic DOS with a high degree of confidence, but it also yields a realistic chemical‐bonding picture in the framework of the projected COHP method. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

4‐Phenyl‐4‐thiazoline‐2‐thiol is an active pharmaceutical compound, one of whose activities is as a human indolenamine dioxygenase inhibitor. It has been shown recently that in both the solid state and the gas phase, the thiazolinethione tautomer should be preferred. As part of both research on this lead compound and a medicinal chemistry program, a series of substituted arylthiazolinethiones have been synthesized. The molecular conformations and tautomerism of 4‐(2‐methoxyphenyl)‐4‐thiazoline‐2‐thione and 4‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐4‐thiazoline‐2‐thione, both C10H9NOS2, are reported and compared with the geometry deduced from ab initio calculations [PBE/6‐311G(d,p)]. Both the crystal structure analyses and the calculations establish the thione tautomer for the two substituted arylthiazolinethiones. In the crystal structure of the 2‐methoxyphenyl regioisomer, the thiazolinethione unit was disordered over two conformations. Both isomers exhibit similar hydrogen‐bond patterns [R22(8) motif] and form dimers. The crystal packing is further reinforced by short S…S interactions in the 2‐methoxyphenyl isomer. The conformations of the two regioisomers correspond to stable geometries calculated from an ab initio energy‐relaxed scan.  相似文献
