Let A be the class of analytic functions in the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ with the normalization f(0) = f′(0) ? 1 = 0. In this paper the authors discuss necessary and sufficient coefficient conditions for fA of the form $$\left( {\frac{z} {{f(z)}}} \right)^\mu = 1 + b_1 z + b_2 z^2 + \ldots$$ to be starlike in $\mathbb{D}$ and more generally, starlike of some order β, 0 ≤ β < 1. Here µ is a suitable complex number so that the right hand side expression is analytic in $\mathbb{D}$ and the power is chosen to be the principal power. A similar problem for the class of convex functions of order β is open.  相似文献

Let α and β be functions in ${L^\infty(\mathbb{T})}$ , where ${\mathbb{T}}$ is the unit circle. Let P denote the orthogonal projection from ${L^2(\mathbb{T})}$ onto the Hardy space ${H^2(\mathbb{T})}$ , and Q = I ? P, where I is the identity operator on ${L^2(\mathbb{T})}$ . This paper is concerned with the singular integral operators S α,β on ${L^2(\mathbb{T})}$ of the form S α,β f = αPf + βQf, for ${f \in L^2(\mathbb{T})}$ . In this paper, we study the normality of S α,β which is related to the Brown–Halmos theorem for the normal Toeplitz operator on ${H^2(\mathbb{T})}$ .  相似文献

This paper concerns the existence and asymptotic characterization of saddle solutions in ${\mathbb {R}^{3}}$ for semilinear elliptic equations of the form $$-\Delta u + W'(u) = 0,\quad (x, y, z) \in {\mathbb {R}^{3}} \qquad\qquad\qquad (0.1)$$ where ${W \in \mathcal{C}^{3}(\mathbb {R})}$ is a double well symmetric potential, i.e. it satisfies W(?s) =  W(s) for ${s \in \mathbb {R},W(s) > 0}$ for ${s \in (-1,1)}$ , ${W(\pm 1) = 0}$ and ${W''(\pm 1) > 0}$ . Denoted with ${\theta_{2}}$ the saddle planar solution of (0.1), we show the existence of a unique solution ${\theta_{3} \in {\mathcal{C}^{2}}(\mathbb {R}^{3})}$ which is odd with respect to each variable, symmetric with respect to the diagonal planes, verifies ${0 < \theta_{3}(x,y,z) < 1}$ for x, y, z >  0 and ${\theta_{3}(x, y, z) \to_{z \to + \infty} \theta_{2}(x, y)}$ uniformly with respect to ${(x, y) \in \mathbb {R}^{2}}$ .  相似文献

Extending a result of Meyer and Reisner (Monatsh Math 125:219–227, 1998), we prove that if ${g: \mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R}_+}$ is a function which is concave on its support, then for every m > 0 and every ${z\in\mathbb{R}}$ such that g(z) > 0, one has $$ \int\limits_{\mathbb{R}} g(x)^mdx\int\limits_{\mathbb{R}} (g^{*z}(y))^m dy\ge \frac{(m+2)^{m+2}}{(m+1)^{m+3}},$$ where for ${y\in \mathbb{R}}$ , ${g^{*z}(y)=\inf_x \frac{(1-(x-z)y)_+}{g(x)}}$ . It is shown how this inequality is related to a special case of Mahler’s conjecture (or inverse Santaló inequality) for convex bodies. The same ideas are applied to give a new (and simple) proof of the exact estimate of the functional inverse Santaló inequality in dimension 1 given in Fradelizi and Meyer (Adv Math 218:1430–1452, 2008). Namely, if ${\phi:\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\cup\{+\infty\}}$ is a convex function such that ${0 < \int e^{-\phi} < +\infty}$ then, for every ${z\in\mathbb{R}}$ such that ${\phi(z) < +\infty}$ , one has $$ \int\limits_{\mathbb{R}}e^{-\phi}\int\limits_{\mathbb{R}} e^{-\mathcal{L}^z\phi}\ge e,$$ where ${\mathcal {L}^z\phi}$ is the Legendre transform of ${\phi}$ with respect to z.  相似文献

Let ${{\varphi}}$ be an analytic self-map of the open unit disk ${{\mathbb{D}}}$ in the complex plane ${{\mathbb{C}, H(\mathbb{D})}}$ the space of complex-valued analytic functions on ${{\mathbb{D}}}$ , and let u be a fixed function in ${{H(\mathbb{D})}}$ . The weighted composition operator is defined by $$(uC_{\varphi}f)(z) = u(z)f({\varphi}(z)), \quad z \in \mathbb{D}, f \in H(\mathbb{D}).$$ In this paper, we study the boundedness and the compactness of the weighted composition operators from the minimal Möbius invariant space into the Bloch space and the little Bloch space.  相似文献

We prove the following inequalities involving Euler’s beta function. (i) Let α and β be real numbers. The inequalities $\left( {\frac{{y^{z - x} }} {{x^{z - y} z^{y - x} }}} \right)^\alpha \leqslant \frac{{B(x,x)^{z - y} B(z,z)^{y - x} }} {{B(y,y)^{z - x} }} \leqslant \left( {\frac{{y^{z - x} }} {{x^{z - y} z^{y - x} }}} \right)^\beta $ hold for all x, y, z with 0 < xyz if and only if α ≤ 1/2 and β ≥ 1. (ii) Let a and b be non-negative real numbers. For all positive real numbers x and y we have $\delta (a,b) \leqslant \frac{{x^a B(x + b,y) + y^a B(x,y + b)}} {{(x + y)^a B(x,y)}} \leqslant \Delta (a,b) $ with the best possible bounds $\delta (a,b) = \min \{ 2^{ - a} ,2^{1 - a - b} \} and\Delta (a,b) = \max \{ 1,2^{1 - a - b} \} . $ .  相似文献

We consider a class of semilinear elliptic equations of the form $$ \label{eq:abs}-\Delta u(x,y,z)+a(x)W'(u(x,y,z))=0,\quad (x,y,z)\in\mathbb {R}^{3},$$ where ${a:\mathbb {R} \to \mathbb {R}}$ is a periodic, positive, even function and, in the simplest case, ${W : \mathbb {R} \to \mathbb {R}}$ is a double well even potential. Under non degeneracy conditions on the set of minimal solutions to the one dimensional heteroclinic problem $$-\ddot q(x)+a(x)W^{\prime}(q(x))=0,\ x\in\mathbb {R},\quad q(x)\to\pm1\,{\rm as}\, x\to \pm\infty,$$ we show, via variational methods the existence of infinitely many geometrically distinct solutions u of (0.1) verifying u(x, y, z) → ± 1 as x → ± ∞ uniformly with respect to ${(y, z) \in \mathbb {R}^{2}}$ and such that ${\partial_{y}u \not \equiv0, \partial_{z}u \not\equiv 0}$ in ${\mathbb {R}^{3}}$ .  相似文献

We characterize functional equations of the form ${f(zf(z))=f(z)^{k+1},z\in\mathbb {C}}$ , with ${k\in\mathbb N}$ , like those generalized Dhombres equations ${f(zf(z))=\varphi (f(z))}$ , ${z\in\mathbb C}$ , with given entire function ${\varphi}$ , which have a nonconstant polynomial solution f.  相似文献

Let D be a domain in $\mathbb{C}^2 $ . For w $\mathbb{C}$ , let D_w=\{z \in $\mathbb{C}$ \, \vert \, (z,w)\in D\}. If f is a holomorphic and square-integrable function in D, then the set E(D, f) of all w such that f(., w) is not square-integrable in D w is of measure zero. We call this set the exceptional set for f. In this note we prove that for every 0 < r < 1, and every G δ-subset E of the circle C(0,r)=\{z \in $\mathbb{C}$ \, \vert \, \vert z \vert = r \},there exists a holomorphic square-integrable function f in the unit ball B in $\mathbb{C}$ 2 such that E(B, f) = E.  相似文献

We completely solve the problem of finding the number of positive and nonnegative roots of the Mittag-Leffler type function $E\rho (z;\mu ) = \sum\limits_{n = 0}^\infty {\frac{{z^n }}{{\Gamma (\mu + n/\rho )}}} , \rho >0, \mu \in \mathbb{C},$ for ρ > 1 and $\mu \in \mathbb{R}$ . We prove that there are no roots in the left angular sector $\pi /\rho \leqslant |\arg z| \leqslant \pi $ for ρ > 1 and 1≤µ<1 + 1/ρ. We consider the problem of multiple roots; in particular, we show that the classical Mittag-Leffler function E n(z;1) of integer order does not have multiple roots.  相似文献

Let α 1, α 2, α 3, β 1, β 2, β 3 be real numbers with α 1, α 2, α 3 >1. Suppose that each individual α i is of a finite type and that at least one pair $\alpha_{i}^{-1}$ , $\alpha_{j}^{-1}$ is also of a finite type. In this paper we prove that every large odd integer n can be represented as $$n=p_{1}+p_{2}+p_{3}, $$ with p i =n/3+O(n 2/3(logn) c ) and $p_{i}\in\mathcal{B}_{i}$ , where c>0 is an absolute constant and $\mathcal{B}_{i}$ denotes the so-called Beatty sequence, i.e. $$\mathcal{B}_{i}=\bigl\{n\in\mathbb{N}: n=[\alpha_{i}m+ \beta_{i}] \mbox { for some } m\in\mathbb{Z}\bigr\}. $$   相似文献

Applying the boundedness on weighted Lebesgue spaces of the maximal singular integral operator S * related to the Carleson?CHunt theorem on almost everywhere convergence, we study the boundedness and compactness of pseudodifferential operators a(x, D) with non-regular symbols in ${L^\infty(\mathbb{R}, V(\mathbb{R})), PC(\overline{\mathbb{R}}, V(\mathbb{R}))}$ and ${\Lambda_\gamma(\mathbb{R}, V_d(\mathbb{R}))}$ on the weighted Lebesgue spaces ${L^p(\mathbb{R},w)}$ , with 1?< p <? ?? and ${w\in A_p(\mathbb{R})}$ . The Banach algebras ${L^\infty(\mathbb{R}, V(\mathbb{R}))}$ and ${PC(\overline{\mathbb{R}}, V(\mathbb{R}))}$ consist, respectively, of all bounded measurable or piecewise continuous ${V(\mathbb{R})}$ -valued functions on ${\mathbb{R}}$ where ${V(\mathbb{R})}$ is the Banach algebra of all functions on ${\mathbb{R}}$ of bounded total variation, and the Banach algebra ${\Lambda_\gamma(\mathbb{R}, V_d(\mathbb{R}))}$ consists of all Lipschitz ${V_d(\mathbb{R})}$ -valued functions of exponent ${\gamma \in (0,1]}$ on ${\mathbb{R}}$ where ${V_d(\mathbb{R})}$ is the Banach algebra of all functions on ${\mathbb{R}}$ of bounded variation on dyadic shells. Finally, for the Banach algebra ${\mathfrak{A}_{p,w}}$ generated by all pseudodifferential operators a(x, D) with symbols ${a(x, \lambda) \in PC(\overline{\mathbb{R}}, V(\mathbb{R}))}$ on the space ${L^p(\mathbb{R}, w)}$ , we construct a non-commutative Fredholm symbol calculus and give a Fredholm criterion for the operators ${A \in \mathfrak{A}_{p,w}}$ .  相似文献

Let ${\nu_{d} : \mathbb{P}^{r} \rightarrow \mathbb{P}^{N}, N := \left( \begin{array}{ll} r + d \\ \,\,\,\,\,\, r \end{array} \right)- 1,}$ denote the degree d Veronese embedding of ${\mathbb{P}^{r}}$ . For any ${P\, \in \, \mathbb{P}^{N}}$ , the symmetric tensor rank sr(P) is the minimal cardinality of a set ${\mathcal{S} \subset \nu_{d}(\mathbb{P}^{r})}$ spanning P. Let ${\mathcal{S}(P)}$ be the set of all ${A \subset \mathbb{P}^{r}}$ such that ${\nu_{d}(A)}$ computes sr(P). Here we classify all ${P \,\in\, \mathbb{P}^{n}}$ such that sr(P) <  3d/2 and sr(P) is computed by at least two subsets of ${\nu_{d}(\mathbb{P}^{r})}$ . For such tensors ${P\, \in\, \mathbb{P}^{N}}$ , we prove that ${\mathcal{S}(P)}$ has no isolated points.  相似文献

For a bounded, open subset Ω of ${\mathbb{R}^{N}}$ with N > 2, and a measurable function a(x) satisfying 0 < α ≤ a(x) ≤ β, a.e. ${x \in \Omega}$ , we study the existence of positive solutions of the Euler–Lagrange equation associated to the non-differentiable functional $$\begin{array}{ll}J(v) = \frac{1}{2} \int \limits_{\Omega} [a(x)+|v|^{\gamma}]| \nabla v|^{2}- \frac{1}{p} \int \limits_{\Omega}(v_{+})^p,\end{array}$$ if γ > 0 and p > 1. It is well known that the doubly weighted Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev inequality is as follows,Z Rn Z Rn f(x)g(y)|x||x.y||y|dxdy6 B(p,q,,,,n)kfkLp(Rn)kgkLq(Rn).The main purpose of this paper is to give the sharp constants B(p,q,,,,n)for the above inequality for three cases:(i)p=1 and q=1;(ii)p=1 and 1q 6∞,or 1p 6∞and q=1;(iii)1p,q∞and 1p+1q=1.In addition,the explicit bounds can be obtained for the case 1p,q∞and 1p+1q1.  相似文献

Let Co(α) denote the class of concave univalent functions in the unit disk ${\mathbb{D}}$ . Each function ${f\in Co(\alpha)}$ maps the unit disk ${\mathbb{D}}$ onto the complement of an unbounded convex set. In this paper we find the exact disk of variability for the functional ${(1-|z|^2)\left ( f^{\prime\prime}(z)/f^{\prime}(z)\right), f\in Co(\alpha)}$ . In particular, this gives sharp upper and lower estimates for the pre-Schwarzian norm of concave univalent functions. Next we obtain the set of variability of the functional ${(1-|z|^2)\left(f^{\prime\prime}(z)/f^{\prime}(z)\right), f\in Co(\alpha)}$ whenever f′′(0) is fixed. We also give a characterization for concave functions in terms of Hadamard convolution. In addition to sharp coefficient inequalities, we prove that functions in Co(α) belong to the H p space for p < 1/α.  相似文献

Suppose that $${g\left( n \right)}$$ is an additive real-valued function, W(N) = 4+ $$\mathop {\min }\limits_\lambda $$ ( λ2 + $$\sum\limits_{p < N} {\frac{1}{2}} $$ min (1, ( g(p) - λlog p)2), E(N) = 4+1 $$\sum\limits_{\mathop {p < N,}\limits_{g(p) \ne 0} } {\frac{1}{p}.} $$ In this paper, we prove the existence of constants C1, C2 such that the following inequalities hold: $\mathop {\sup }\limits_a \geqslant \left| {\left\{ {n, m, k: m, k \in \mathbb{Z},n \in \mathbb{N},n + m^2 + k^2 } \right.} \right. = \left. {\left. {N,{\text{ }}g(n) \in [a,a + 1)} \right\}} \right| \leqslant \frac{{C_1 N}}{{\sqrt {W\left( N \right)} }},$ $\mathop {\sup }\limits_a \geqslant \left| {\left\{ {n, m, k: m, k \in \mathbb{Z},n \in \mathbb{N},n + m^2 + k^2 } \right.} \right. = \left. {\left. {N,{\text{ }}g(n) = a} \right\}} \right| \leqslant \frac{{C_2 N}}{{\sqrt {E\left( N \right)} }},$ . The obtained estimates are order-sharp.  相似文献
