In this paper, we apply the exp-function method to construct generalized solitary and periodic solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. The proposed technique is tested on the modified Zakharov-Kuznetsov (ZK) and Zakharov-Kuznetsov-Modified-Equal-Width (ZK-MEW) equations. These equations play a very important role in mathematical physics and engineering sciences. The suggested algorithm is quite efficient and is practically well suited for use in these problems. Numerical results clearly indicate the reliability and efficiency of the proposed exp-function method.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish new solitary wave solutions to the modified Kawahara equation by the sine-cosine method. Moreover, the periodic solutions and bell-shaped solitons solutions to the generalized fifth-order KdV equation are obtained. The tanh method is used to handle the double sine-Gordon equation and the double sinh-Gordon equation. Families of exact travelling wave solutions are formally derived. The rational triangle sine-cosine method is introduced and to be constructed complex solutions to the modified Degasperis-Procesi (DP) equation and the modified Camassa-Holm (CH) equation.  相似文献

A new method based on Lie-Backlund symmetry method to solve the perturbed nonlinear evolution equations is presented. Problems that are modeled by nonlinear evolution equations occur in many areas of applied sciences. In the present study, we deal with the negative order KdV equation and the generalized Zakharov system and derive some further results using the so‐called first integral method. This paper is devoted to studying the (2 + 1)-dimensional KP-BBM wave equation. Exp-function method is used to conduct the analysis. The generalized solitary solutions, periodic solutions and other exact solutions for the (2 + 1)-dimensional KP-BBM wave equation are obtained via this method with the aid of symbolic computational system. It is also shown that the Exp-function method, with the help of symbolic computation, provides a powerful mathematical tool for solving other nonlinear evolution equations arising in mathematical physics.  相似文献

It is known that the simplest equation method is applied for finding exact solutions of autonomous nonlinear differential equations. In this paper we extend this method for finding exact solutions of non-autonomous nonlinear differential equations (DEs). We applied the generalized approach to look for exact special solutions of three Painlevé equations. As ODE of lower order than Painlevé equations the Riccati equation is taken. The obtained exact special solutions are expressed in terms of the special functions defined by linear ODEs of the second order.  相似文献

In this paper, a new trust region method for the system of nonlinear equations is presented in which the determining of the trust region radius incorporates the information of its natural residual. The global convergence is obtained under mild conditions. Unlike traditional trust region method, the superlinear convergence of the method is proven under the local error bound condition. This condition is weaker than the nondegeneracy assumption which is necessary for superlinear convergence of traditional trust region method. With the aid of computer symbolic computation system Maple, the generalized auxiliary equation method is first applied to two nonlinear evolution equations, namely, the nonlinear elastic rod equation and (2 + 1)‐dimensional Boiti‐Leon‐Pempinelli equation. As a results, some new types of exact traveling wave solutions are obtained which include bell and kink profile solitary wave solutions, and triangular periodic wave solutions and singular solutions. In this letter, the Kaup–Kupershmidt, (2+1)(2+1)-dimensional Potential Kadomtsev–Petviashvili (shortly PKP) equations are presented and the Exp-function method is employed to compute an approximation to the solution of nonlinear differential equations governing the problem. It has been attempted to show the capabilities and wide-range applications of the Exp-function method. Abstract. This paper studies the finite element method for some nonlinear hyperbolic partial differential equations with memory and dampling terms. A Crank-Nicolson approximation for this kind of equations is presented. Also a generalized tanh-function method is used for constructing exact travelling wave solutions for the nonlinear diffusion equation of Fisher type originated from the considered partial differential equation. The present paper illustrates an iterative numerical method to solve nonlinear equations of the form f(x) = 0, especially those containing the partial and non partial involvement of transcendental terms. Comparative analysis shows that the present method is faster than Newton-Raphson method, hybrid iteration method, new hybrid iteration method and others. Cost is also found to be minimum than these methods. The beauty in our method can be seen because of the optimization in important effecting factors, i.e. lesser number of iteration steps, lesser number of functional evaluations and lesser value of absolute error in final as well as in individual step as compared to the other methods. This work also demonstrates the higher order convergence of the present method as compared to others without going to the computation of second derivative.  相似文献

For an equation f(x)=0 having a multiple root of multiplicity m>1 unknown, we propose a transformation which converts the multiple root to a simple root of H(x)=0. The transformed function H(x) of f(x) with a small >0 has appropriate properties in applying a derivative free iterative method to find the root. Moreover, there is no need to choose a proper initial approximation. We show that the proposed method is superior to the existing methods by several numerical examples.  相似文献
