A simple and fast voltammetric method based on a new electrode composed of carbon paste electrode/bifunctional hybrid ion imprinted polymer (CPE/IIP) was developed for the quantification of Cd2+ in water samples. The voltammetric measurements by Differential Pulse Voltammetry were performed by using CPE containing 11.0 mg of IIP under phosphate buffer solution at concentration 0.1 mol L?1 and pH 6.5. The electrochemical method was carried out by Cd2+ preconcentration at ?1.2 V during 210 s, followed by anodic stripping. The performance of IIP towards Cd2+ determination was evaluated by comparison to non-imprinted polymer, whose detectability of IIP was much higher (45%). The sensitivity of the sensor was found to be 0.0105 µA/µg L?1. The limits of detection and limits of quantification were found to be 4.95 μg L?1 and 16.4 μg L?1, respectively. The developed method was successfully applied to Cd2+ determination in mineral, tap and lake water samples, whose results are in agreement with thermospray flame furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (TS-FF-AAS) used as reference analytical technique. According to achieved results, the developed method can be used for routine analysis of quality control of water samples from different sources.  相似文献

Chemical sensors relying on graphene-based materials have been widely used for electrochemical determination of metal ions and have demonstrated excellent signal amplification. This study reports an electrochemically reduced graphene oxide (ERGO)/mercury film (HgF) nanocomposite-modified pencil graphite electrode (PGE) prepared through successive electrochemical reduction of graphene oxide (GO) sheets and an in situ plated HgF. The ERGO-PG-HgFE, in combination with dimethylglyoxime (DMG) and square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry (SW-AdCSV), was evaluated for the determination of Ni2+ in tap and natural river water samples. A single-step electrode pre-concentration approach was employed for the in situ Hg-film electroplating, metal-chelate complex formation, and non-electrolytic adsorption at –0.7 V. The current response due to nickel-dimethylglyoxime [Ni(II)-DMG2] complex reduction was studied as a function of experimental paratmeters including the accumulation potential, accumulation time, rotation speed, frequency and amplitude, and carefully optimized for the determination of Ni2+ at low concentration levels (μg?L?1) in pH 9.4 of 0.1 M NH3–NH4Cl buffer. The reduction peak currents were linear with the Ni2+ concentration between 2 and 16?μg?L?1. The limits of detection and quantitation were 0.120?±?0.002?µg?L?1 and 0.401?±?0.007?µg?L?1 respectively, for the determination of Ni2+ at an accumulation time of 120?s. The ERGO-PG-HgFE further demonstrated a highly selective stripping response toward Ni2+ determination compared to Co2+. The electrode was found to be sufficiently sensitive to determine metal ions in water samples at 0.1?µg?L?1, well below the World Health Organization standards.  相似文献

A liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) method was employed for preconcentration of selenium as piazselenol complex in aqueous samples. The samples reacted with o-phenylenediamine in 0.1?M HCl at 90°C for 15?min, and then LPME was performed. A microdrop of carbon tetrachloride was applied as the extracting solvent. After extraction, the microdrop was introduced directly into the injection port of gas chromatography for analysis. Several important extraction parameters such as the type of organic solvent, sample and organic drop volumes, salt concentration, stirring rate, and exposure time were controlled and optimized. In the proposed LPME, the extraction was achieved by suspending a 3?µL carbon tetrachloride drop from the tip of a microsyringe immersed in 12.5?mL of aqueous solution. Under optimized conditions, a dynamic linear range was obtained in the range of 20–1000?µg?L?1. The preconcentration factor and the limit of detection of selenium in this method were 91 and 0.9?µg?L?1, respectively. The optimized procedure was successfully applied to the extraction and determination of selenium in different types of real samples. The relative standard deviations for the spiking levels of 50–100?µg?L?1 in the real samples were in the range of 3.2–6.1%, and the relative errors were located in the range of ?5.4 to 5%.  相似文献

Platinum nanoparticles–reduced graphene oxide composite-modified glassy carbon electrode (PtNPs–rGO/GCE) was developed as a simple, selective and sensitive electrochemical sensor for determination of picric acid (PA). Cyclic voltammogram (CV) of PA showed three well-defined irreversible reduction peaks at the potentials of ?0.43, ?0.57 and ?0.66 V versus Ag/AgCl. In this work, the interference effect of other nitrophenol compounds (NPhCs) was significantly reduced by appropriate adjusting of pH. Square wave voltammetry was used for quantification of PA in the range of 5–500 µM (1.15–115 mg L?1) with practical detection limit of 1 µM (0.23 mg L?1). The proposed sensor was successfully applied for the determination of PA in two natural water samples.  相似文献

A novel method for the online extraction and preconcentration of four sulfonamides was developed using column switching liquid chromatography. Sulfadiazine, sulfathiazole, sulfamethoxypyridazine and sulfamethoxazole were analysed in water samples and preconcentrated in a C18 guard column. Suitable validation parameters were obtained, such as precision, accuracy and relative recovery, in accordance with the validation guidelines of the Food and Drug Administration. Low limits of detection (0.05–0.09 µg L?1) and quantification (0.30 µg L?1, for all of them) were obtained. The quadratic polynomial model was used to adjust the calibration data, and the coefficients of determination were higher than 0.999 for all the analytes. The method was shown to be robust to the assayed parameters according to Youden’s test. The proposed method was successfully used to determine sulfonamides in 11 different fish farming water samples, in which sulfadiazine (0.732 µg L?1), sulfamethoxazole (0.531 µg L?1), sulfathiazole (0.546–1.856 µg L?1) and sulfamethoxypyridazine (0.369–1.509 µg L?1) were found.  相似文献

A self-assembled sensor based on a boron-doped diamond was investigated as a sensitive tool for voltammetric analysis of a member of a pyridine herbicide family - picloram. A cyclic voltammetry and a differential pulse voltammetry were applied for investigation of the voltammetric behaviour and quantification of this herbicide. Picloram yielded one well-developed irreversible oxidation signal at a very positive potential about +1.5 V vs. Ag/AgCl/3 mol L?1 KCl electrode in an acidic medium and 1 mol L?1 H2SO4 was chosen as a suitable supporting electrolyte. Operating parameters of differential pulse voltammetry were optimized and the proposed voltammetric method provided a high repeatability (a relative standard deviation of 20 repeated measurements at a concentration level of picloram of 50 µmol L?1 equaled to 2.58%), a linear concentration range from 2.5 to 90.9 µmol L?1 and a low limit of detection (LD = 1.64 µmol L?1). Practical usefulness of the ‘environmentally-green’ electrochemical sensor was verified by an analysis of spiked water samples with satisfactory recoveries.  相似文献

Abstract

A very sensitive and reliable method is proposed for the determination of tellurium(IV) [Te(IV)] by Osteryoung square-wave cathodic stripping voltammetry. This method is based on the reduction of Te(IV) with bismuth(III) onto an edge-plane pyrolytic graphite electrode, followed by a cathodic potential scan. The reduced Te gave a well-defined catalytic hydrogen wave at ?1200 mV vs. Ag/AgCl. The peak height of the catalytic wave was directly proportional to the initial Te(IV) concentration in the concentration ranges of 0.01–0.10 and 0.1–1.0 µg L?1 with 30 s deposition time. A 3σ detection limit of 1.0 ng L?1 Te(IV) was obtained with the same deposition time. The relative standard deviation was 3% on replicate runs (n = 5) for the determination of 0.1 µg L?1 Te(IV). Analytical results of natural water samples demonstrate that the proposed method is applicable to the determination of traces of Te(IV).  相似文献

Abstract

A sensitive and selective voltammetric method for determination of antimony(III) using Alizarin Red S (ARS) as complexing agent is described. The method is based on the monitoring the oxidation peak of antimony(III)-ARS complex at ?520 mV in ammonium-ammonia buffer (pH = 7.5). The peak current was measured by scanning the potential from ?700 mV versus Ag/AgClto more positive potentials without accumulation in the presence of 1 × 10?6 mol L?1 of ARS. The limit of detection (3 s) and limit of quantification (10 s) of the method were calculated from calibration curve as 1.45 µg L? and 4.8 µg L? respectively. The calibration plot for antimony(III) was linear in the range of 4.8–30 µg L?. The interference of various ions was examined. Serious interference from Al(III), Fe(III), Cu(II), Pb(II), and Zn(II) was eliminated by addition of EDTA to the solution. The method was applied to drinking water samples. The recoveries were in the range 94% – 105%. The results obtained from the developed method were compared with those from the differential-pulse anodic-stripping method and no statistically significant difference was found.  相似文献

A multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) modified glassy carbon electrode (MWNT-GCE) was used to study the electrochemical behaviour of1-hydroxypyrene (1-OHP) and applied to its determination. The results showed that the modified electrode had a strong adsorptive ability to 1-OHP and enhances its electrochemical signal. By square wave voltammetry, the linear relationship of 1-OHP was 6?×?10?9???8?×?10?7?mol?L?1 with a linear correlation coefficient of 0.996, and the detection limit was 1?×?10?10?mol?L?1. Compared with other published methods, this newly proposed method possesses many advantages such as very low detection limit, fast response, low cost and simplicity. And this method was applied successfully in the determination of 1‐OHP in real human urine samples.  相似文献

A simple, low-cost and sensitive electroanalytical method was developed for the simultaneous determination of p-nitrophenol and o-nitrophenol isomers in water samples at a glassy carbon electrode (CGE) in the presence of cationic surfactant. The electrochemical behavior of p-nitrophenol and o-nitrophenol was studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 0.1?mol L?1 acetate/acetic acid buffer (pH 3.70) in the presence and absence of cetylpyridinium bromide. The resolution of overlapped cathodic peaks potentials (Epc) of isomers was successfully improved in the presence of 100.0?µmol L?1 cetylpyridinium bromide, thus making this approach ideal for the simultaneous determination of isomers. Under the optimized conditions in 0.05?mol L?1 HEPES buffer at pH 7.0 using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) at a scan rate of 45?mV s?1, pulse amplitude of 220?mV and modulation time of 10?ms, limits of detection 0.59?µmol L?1 for p-nitrophenol and 1.14?µmol L?1 for o-nitrophenol were obtained with linear ranges from 2.0 to 60.0?µmol L?1 and 3.0 to 60.0?µmol L?1, respectively. The intraday precision was assessed as relative standard deviation (%) for 20.0 and 40.0?µmol L?1 concentrations were 4.30% and 2.41% for p-nitrophenol and 4.87% and 2.20% for o-nitrophenol, respectively. The developed method was applied for the determination of the isomers in lake water samples. The accuracy was attested by comparison with high-performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC-DAD) as a reference analytical technique. Recovery values ranging from 90.3% to 111.8% also attested to the accuracy of method for analysis of real samples.  相似文献

We report on a sensitive, simple, label-free impedance-based immunoelectrode for the determination of microcystin-LR (MCLR). The surface of the electrode was modified with a composite made from multiwalled carbon nanotubes and an ionic liquid, and with immobilized polyclonal antibody against MCLR. Cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy were applied to characterize the modified electrode. It is found that the multi-walled carbon nanotubes act as excellent mediators for the electron transfer between the electrode and dissolved hexacyanoferrate redox pair, while the ionic liquid renders it biocompatible. The method exhibits a wide linear range (0.005 μg?L-1 to 1.0 μg?L-1), a low detection limit (1.7 ng?L-1) and a long-term stability of around 60 days. The ionic liquid 1-amyl-2,3-dimethylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate gave the best impedimetric response. The new immunoelectrode is sensitive, stable, and easily prepared. It has been successfully applied to the determination of MCLR in water samples.

A modified hollow-fiber-supported dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (HF-DLLME) method was developed for the determination of aflatoxins and ochratoxin A in food samples. The various parameters affecting the efficiency of extraction, such as pH, salt addition, extraction time, stirring rate, desorption time, type and volume of extractant and disperser solvents were carefully studied and optimized using two step strategies. The linearity of the evaluated results was 0.1 to 30?μg L?1 for aflatoxins and 0.1 to 20?μg L?1 for ochratoxin A, with regression coefficients (R2) exceeding 0.9990. The precision was satisfactory with relative standard deviation values less than 11%. The method accuracy was within the recommended range from 70% to 120% and analyte accuracy between 83% and 101%. The limits of detection and quantification were in the range from 0.04 to 0.06?μg L?1 and 0.08 to 0.13?μg L?1, respectively, for multi-aflatoxins, and 0.02 to 0.04?µg L?1 and 0.08 to 0.10?µg L?1, respectively, for ochratoxin A. The developed method was successfully applied for the determination of mycotoxins in food samples.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this approach, a new carbon paste electrode modified with N,N′-bis(5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene)-2,2-dimethylpropane-1,3-diamine Schiff base ligand (L) was synthesised for selective and effective determination of Hg2+ ions in aqueous environmental samples using cyclic and square wave anodic stripping voltammetric methods. First, the selective detection of mercury ion was confirmed by evaluating the stability constants of metal complexes formed between the Schiff base ligand (L) and some desired cations by conductometric measurements. Afterwards, by preparing an effective carbon paste electrode modified with L, the experimental and instrumental parameters affecting the performance of modified electrode were investigated. Square wave anodic stripping voltammograms were obtained after applying an accumulation potential ?0.5 V and accumulation time 150 s in Britton–Robinson buffer solution at pH 2.0. The optimal square wave parameters found are pulse amplitude 75 mV, frequency 50 Hz and step potential 6 mV. The procedure exhibited linear range from 0.4 to 120 μg L?1 Hg2+ with a limit of detection of 0.042 μg L?1. The proposed electrode was proved to be highly selective in the presence of various cations and anions and was successfully used for determination of mercury in tobacco and several water samples.  相似文献

A novel method was developed for the determination of eight pyrethroids in water samples by liquid–liquid microextraction based on solidification of floating organic droplets followed by gas chromatography with electron capture detection. The type and volume of the extraction solvents, extraction time, sample solution temperature, stirring rate and ionic strength were studied and optimized. Under the optimum conditions, enrichment factors ranged from 824 to 1,432, and the limit of detection range from 2.0 to 50 ng?L?1. The calibration graph is linear from 0.15 to 80 μg?L?1 for cyfluthrin, fenvalerate, fluvalinate and deltamethrin, 0.09 to 80 μg?L?1 for fenpropathrin, 0.006 to 80 μg?L?1 for lambda-cyhalothrin, 0.026 to 80 μg?L?1 for permethrin, 0.01 to 80 μg?L?1 for cypermethrin. The correlation coefficients (r) varied from 0.9961 to 0.9988. The method was successfully applied to the determination of pyrethroid pesticide residues in tap water, well water, reservoir water, and river water. Recoveries ranged from 79.0% to 113.6%, and relative standard deviations are between 4.1% and 8.7%.  相似文献

Simple cyclic renewable silver amalgam film electrode (Hg(Ag)FE), applied for the determination of gallium(III) using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DP ASV), is presented. The effects of various factors such as: preconcentration potential and time, pulse height, step potential and supporting electrolyte composition are optimised. The calibration graph is linear from 5?nM (0.35?µg?L?1) to 80?nM (5.6?µg?L?1) for a preconcentration time of 60?s, with correlation coefficient of 0.995. For a Hg(Ag)FE with a surface area of 9.9?mm2 the detection limit for a preconcentration time of 120?s is as low as 0.1?µg?L?1. The repeatability of the method at a concentration level of the analyte as low as 3.5?µg?L?1, expressed as RSD is 3.2% (n?=?5). The proposed method was successfully applied by studying the synthetic samples and simultaneously recovery of Ga(III) from spiked aluminium samples.  相似文献

Lucigenin chemiluminescence (CL) in conjunction with flow-injection analysis (FIA) is used for the determination of phosphate in freshwater samples. The procedure is based on the formation of molybdophosphoric heteropoly acid (MoP–HPA) by the reaction of phosphate and ammonium molybdate under acidic conditions. CL emission was observed as a result of oxidation of lucigenin in aqueous sodium hydroxide solution in the presence of MoP–HPA. Calibration was linear up to 500?µg?L?1 (r 2?=?0.9998; n?=?8), with a detection limit (S/N?=?3) of 0.95?µg?L?1. An injection throughput of 120 h?1, and relative standard deviation (RSD; n?=?4) of 1.3–3.2% were achieved in the concentration range studied. An on-line chelating column was used to remove interfering cations. The method was applied to freshwater samples, and the results (51?±?1.0 – 107?±?2.0?µg?L?1) did not differ significantly from results obtained using a spectrophotometric method (52.5?±?1.0 – 102?±?2.0?µg?L?1) at 95% confidence level (t-test).  相似文献

This article reviews the use of square wave anodic stripping voltammetry for the simultaneous determination of ecotoxic metals (Pb, Cd, Cu, and Zn) on a bismuth-film (BiFE) electrode. The BiFE was prepared in situ on a glassy-carbon electrode (GCE) from the 0.1 mol L?1 acetate buffer solution (pH 4.5) containing 200 µg L?1 of bismuth (III). The addition of hydrogen peroxide to the electroanalytical cell proved beneficial for the interference-free determination of Cu (II) together with zinc, lead, and cadmium, using the BiFE. The experimental variables were investigated and optimized with the view to apply this type of voltammetric sensor to real samples containing traces of these metals. The performance characteristics, such as reproducibility, decision limit (CCa), detection capability (CCβ), sensitivity, and accuracy indicated that the method holds promise for trace Cu2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, and Zn2+ levels by employment of Hg-free GCE with SWASV. CCa, and CCβ were calculated according to the Commission Decision of 12 August 2002 (2002/657/EC). Linearity was observed in the range 20–280 µg L?1 for zinc, 10–100 µg L?1 for lead, 10–80 µg L?1 for copper, and 5–50 µg L?1 for cadmium. Using the optimized conditions, the stripping performance of the BiFE was characterized by low limits of detection (LOD). Finally, the method was successfully applied in real as well as in certified reference water samples.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective electrochemical method for the simultaneous determination of dopamine (DA) and uric acid (UA) was developed using a pyrogallol red modified carbon paste electrode. Under the optimized conditions, the peak current was linearly dependent on 1.0–700.0 μmol L?1 DA and 50.0–1000.0 μmol L?1 UA. The detection limits for DA and UA were 0.78 μmol L?1 and 35 μmol L?1, respectively. Finally, this method was also examined for the determination of DA and uric acid in real samples such as drugs and urine.  相似文献

A simple and sensitive spectrophotometric method is described for low level determinationof bromate in drinking water. This method is based on the reduction of bromate ions into bromine in the presence of pararosaniline by sodium metabisulphite to form a highly stable pink-red complex measured at 540 nm. Maximum colour formation was obtained at about 45 min. Multi-walled carbon nanotubes, a solid phase extraction sorbent, has been described for the removal of cationic interferences of major elements and heavy metals from water samples prior to conducting the assay. Bear’s law is obeyed in the range of 5–80 µg.L?1 with limit of detection of 0.44 µg.L?1 and correlation coefficient of 0.998 (n = 5). The mean relative standard deviation (RSD%) of the results within-day precision and accuracy were ≤1.2% which confirmed the reproducibility of the assay technique. The optimum assay conditions and their applicability to the determination of water samples are described. The method was successfully applied for the determination of bromate in water samples with satisfactory results and recommended to be applied in all desalination plant samples.  相似文献

A square wave cathodic stripping voltammetric (SWCSV) method has been developed for the determination of insecticide diafenthiuron. The procedure is based on controlled accumulation of the insecticide on a static hanging mercury drop electrode (SHMDE) at 0.00?mV (vs. Ag/AgCl) in Britton-Robinson buffer solution (pH 7.0). The insoluble mercury compound was reduced at ?510?mV during the cathodic potential scan. The peak currents were linearly related to insecticide concentration between 30.4 and 3200?µg?L?1 . The detection and quantification limit were 9.1?µg?L?1 and 30.4?µg?L?1, respectively. The proposed analytical procedure was applied to natural water and soil samples. The method was extended to direct determination of diafenthiuron in insecticide formulation Polo® 50 WP and average content of 50.3?±?1.7 (m/m) at 90% confidence level, in close agreement with the 50.0% quoted by the manufacturer. HPLC comparison method indicated that accuracy was in agreement with that obtained by the proposed method.  相似文献
