On a real hypersurface in a Kähler manifold we can consider a natural closed 2-form associated with the almost contact metric structure induced by Kähler structure. We treat trajectories under magnetic fields which are constant multiples of this 2-form. We consider a condition for them to be also curves of order 2 on tubes around totally geodesic real hyperbolic spaces in a complex hyperbolic space.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of subcomplex structure on a manifold of arbitrary real dimension and consider some important particular cases of pseudocomplex structures: pseudotwistor, affinor, and sub-Kähler structures. It is shown how subtwistor and affinor structures can give sub-Riemannian and sub-Kähler structures. We also prove that all classical structures (twistor, Kähler, and almost contact metric structures) are particular cases of subcomplex structures. The theory is based on the use of a degenerate 1-form or a 2-form with radical of arbitrary dimension.  相似文献

In this article, we study isometric immersions of nearly Kähler manifolds into a space form (especially Euclidean space) and show that every nearly Kähler submanifold of a space form has an umbilic foliation whose leafs are 6-dimensional nearly Kähler manifolds. Moreover, using this foliation we show that there is no non-homogeneous 6-dimensional nearly Kähler submanifold of a space form. We prove some results towards a classification of nearly Kähler hypersurfaces in standard space forms.  相似文献

The notion of affine Kähler immersions has been recently introduced by Nomizu-Pinkall-Podestà ([N-Pi-Po]). This work is aimed at giving some results towards the classification of non degenerate affine Kähler hypersurfaces with symmetric and parallel Ricci tensor; this problem generalizes the classical results due to Nomizu-Smyth ([N-S]) in the theory of Kählerian hypersurfaces. In a second section we deal with the case of “semisymmetric” affine Kähler immersions, when the curvature tensor R satisfies R · R = 0 and the Ricci tensor is symmetric, providing a complete classification; for affine Kähler curves we prove that the conditions above are actually equivalent to saying that the immersion is isometric for a suitable Kähler metric in C2.  相似文献

We prove that a nearly Kenmotsu manifold is locally isometric to the warped product of a real line and a nearly Kähler manifold. As consequence, a normal nearly Kenmotsu manifold is Kenmotsu. Furthermore, we show that there do not exist nearly Kenmotsu hypersurfaces of nearly Kähler manifolds.

We study pseudo-holomorphic curves in general nearly Kähler manifolds. For that purpose, we first introduce the fundamental equations of submanifold geometry in terms of the characteristic connection of the nearly Kähler structure. Then we classify pseudo-holomorphic curves with parallel second fundamental form in Chern-flat nearly Kähler manifolds. Moreover, we give a new Simons type identity. As an application of this identity, we show that the closed pseudo-holomorphic curves in Chern-flat nearly Kähler manifolds with a second fundamental form of controlled growth are totally geodesic.  相似文献

In the first section of this note, we discuss locally conformal symplectic manifolds, which are differentiable manifoldsV 2n endowed with a nondegenerate 2-form Ω such thatdΩ=θ ∧ Ω for some closed form θ. Examples and several geometric properties are obtained, especially for the case whendΩ ≠ 0 at every point. In the second section, we discuss the case when Ω above is the fundamental form of an (almost) Hermitian manifold, i.e. the case of the locally conformal (almost) Kähler manifolds. Characterizations of such manifolds are given. Particularly, the locally conformal Kähler manifolds are almost Hermitian manifolds for which some canonically associated connection (called the Weyl connection) is almost complex. Examples of locally conformal (almost) Kähler manifolds which are not globally conformal (almost) Kähler are given. One such example is provided by the well-known Hopf manifolds.  相似文献

In this article we study isometric immersions from Kähler manifolds whose (1, 1) part of the second fundamental form is parallel, theppmc isometric immersions. When the domain is a Riemann surface these immersions are precisely those with parallel mean curvature. P. J. Ryan has classified the Kähler manifolds that admit isometric immersions, as real hypersurfaces, in space forms. We classify the codimension twoppmc isometric immersions into space forms.  相似文献

Geometry of affine immersions is the study of hypersurfaces that are invariant under affine transformations. As with the hypersurface theory on the Euclidean space, an affine immersion can induce a torsion-free affine connection and a (pseudo)-Riemannian metric on the hypersurface. Moreover, an affine immersion can induce a statistical manifold, which plays a central role in information geometry. Recently, a statistical manifold with a complex structure is actively studied since it connects information geometry and Kähler geometry. However, a holomorphic complex affine immersion cannot induce such a statistical manifold with a Kähler structure. In this paper, we introduce complex affine distributions, which are non-integrable generalizations of complex affine immersions. We then present the fundamental theorem for a complex affine distribution, and show that a complex affine distribution can induce a statistical manifold with a Kähler structure.  相似文献

Firstly we give a condition to split off the Kähler factor from a nearly pseudo-Kähler manifold and apply this to get a structure result in dimension 8. Secondly we extend the construction of nearly Kähler manifolds from twistor spaces to negatively curved quaternionic Kähler manifolds and para-quaternionic Kähler manifolds. The class of nearly pseudo-Kähler manifolds obtained from this construction is characterized by a holonomic condition. The combination of these results enables us to give a classification result in (real) dimension 10. Moreover, we show that a strict nearly pseudo-Kähler six-manifold is Einstein.  相似文献

We construct left-invariant quaternionic contact (qc) structures on Lie groups with zero and non-zero torsion and with non-vanishing quaternionic contact conformal curvature tensor, thus showing the existence of non-flat quaternionic contact manifolds. We prove that the product of the real line with a seven-dimensional manifold, equipped with a certain qc structure, has a quaternionic Kähler metric as well as a metric with holonomy contained in Spin(7). As a consequence, we determine explicit quaternionic Kähler metrics and Spin(7)-holonomy metrics, which seem to be new. Moreover, we give explicit non-compact eight dimensional almost quaternion hermitian manifolds that are not quaternionic Kähler with either a closed fundamental four form or fundamental two forms defining a differential ideal.  相似文献

As a generalization of Calabi’s conjecture for Kähler-Ricci forms, which was solved by Yau in 1977, we discuss the existence of Kähler-Ricci soliton typed equation on a compact Kähler manifold (M, g) with positive first Chem C1 (M) > 0 as well as the uniqueness. For a given positively definite (1,1)-form Ω ∈ C1 (M) of M and a holomorphic vector field X on M, we prove that there is a Kähler form ω in the Kähler class [ωg] solving the Kähler-Ricci soliton typed equation if and only if, i) X is belonged to a reductive subalgebra of holomorphic vector fields and the imaginary part of X generates a compact one-parameter transformations subgroup of M; and ii) LX Ω is a real-valued (1,1)-form. The Kähler manifolds of quasi-constant holomorphic sectional curvatures are introduced as Kähler manifolds with complex distribution of codimension two, whose holomorphic sectional curvature only depends on the corresponding point and the geometric angle, associated with the section. A curvature identity characterizing such manifolds is found. The biconformal group of transformations whose elements transform Kähler metrics into Kähler ones is introduced and biconformal tensor invariants are obtained. This makes it possible to classify the manifolds under consideration locally. The class of locally biconformal flat Kähler metrics is shown to be exactly the class of Kähler metrics whose potential function is only a function of the distance from the origin in ? n . Finally we show that any rotational even dimensional hypersurface carries locally a natural Kähler structure which is of quasi-constant holomorphic sectional curvatures.  相似文献

We prove two extension theorems of Ohsawa-Takegoshi type on compact Khler manifolds.In our proof,there are many complications arising from the regularization process of quasi-psh functions on compact Khler manifolds,and unfortunately we only obtain particular cases of the expected result.We remark that the two special cases we proved are natural,since they occur in many situations.We hope that the new techniques we develop here will allow us to obtain the general extension result of Ohsawa-Takegoshi type on compact Khler manifolds in a near future.  相似文献

We analyse some properties of the cohomogeneity one Ricci soliton equations, and use Ansätze of cohomogeneity one to produce new explicit examples of complete Kähler Ricci solitons of expanding, steady and shrinking types. These solitons are foliated by hypersurfaces which are circle bundles over a product of Fano Kähler–Einstein manifolds or over coadjoint orbits of a compactly connected semisimple Lie group.  相似文献

We show that the generalized Kähler–Ricci soliton equation on $4$ -dimensional toric Kähler orbifolds reduces to ODEs assuming there is a Hamiltonian $2$ -form. This leads to an explicit resolution of this equation on labelled triangles and convex labelled quadrilaterals. On a Kähler manifold we have natural uniform magnetic fields which are constant multiples of the Kähler form. Trajectories, which are motions of electric charged particles, under these magnetic fields can be considered as generalizations of geodesics. We give an overview on a study of Kähler magnetic fields and show some similarities between trajectories and geodesics on Kähler manifolds of negative curvature.  相似文献
