We classify seven-dimensional nilpotent Lie groups, decomposable or of nilpotency step at most 4, endowed with left-invariant purely coclosed G2-structures. This is done by going through the list of all seven-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras given by Gong, providing an example of a left-invariant 3-form φ which is a pure coclosed G2-structure (i.e., it satisfies d φ = 0 $d*\varphi =0$ , φ d φ = 0 $\varphi \wedge d\varphi =0$ ) for those nilpotent Lie algebras that admit them; and by showing the impossibility of having a purely coclosed G2-structure for the rest of them.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider systems of fractional Laplacian equations in Rnwith nonlinear terms satisfying some quite general structural conditions. These systems were categorized critical and subcritical cases. We show that there is no positive solution in the subcritical cases, and we classify all positive solutions ui in the critical cases by using a direct method of moving planes introduced in Chen-Li-Li [11] and some new maximum principles in Li-Wu-Xu [27].  相似文献

We investigate some features of generalized symmetries of integrable systems aiming to obtain the Fokas–Gel’fand formula for the immersion of two-dimensional soliton surfaces in Lie algebras. We show that if there exists a common symmetry of the zero-curvature representation of an integrable partial differential equation and its linear spectral problem, then the Fokas–Gel’fand immersion formula is applicable in its original form. In the general case, we show that when the symmetry of the zero-curvature representation is not a symmetry of its linear spectral problem, then the immersion function of the two-dimensional surface is determined by an extended formula involving additional terms in the expression for the tangent vectors. We illustrate these results with examples including the elliptic ordinary differential equation and the CPN?1 sigma-model equation.  相似文献

Lie group theory is applied to rational difference equations of the form

where (an)n∈?0, (bn)n∈?0 are non-zero real sequences. Consequently, new symmetries are derived and exact solutions, in unified manner, are constructed. We investigate the symmetry properties of several radially symmetric minimization problems. The minimizers which we obtain are nodal solutions of superlinear elliptic problems, or eigenfunctions of weighted asymmetric eigenvalue problems, or they lie on the first curve in the Fucik spectrum. In all instances, we prove that the minimizers are foliated Schwarz symmetric. We give examples showing that the minimizers are in general not radially symmetric. The basic tool which we use is polarization, a concept going back to Ahlfors. We develop this method of symmetrization for sign changing functions. Supported by NATO grant PST.CLG.978736. In this paper we continue the analysis of the blow-up of low energy sign-changing solutions of semi-linear elliptic equations with critical Sobolev exponent, started in [M. Ben Ayed, K. El Mehdi, F. Pacella, Blow-up and nonexistence of sign-changing solutions to the Brezis-Nirenberg problem in dimension three, Ann. Inst. H. Poincaré Anal. Non Linéaire, in press]. An analytic technique, the homotopy analysis method (HAM), is applied to obtain the soliton solution of the Fitzhugh–Nagumo equation. The homotopy analysis method (HAM) is one of the most effective method to obtain the exact solution and provides us with a new way to obtain series solutions of such problems. For the 2-channel orthogonal multiwavelet systems with symmetric center γ/2, we give the parameterization of the associated multifilter banks, whether γ is odd or even. When γ is odd, we obtain the similar results to Jiang’s, for the case that γ is even, we transform the parameterization of the multifilter banks into the one of the case that γ is odd, then by the previous results and inverse transforms, we derive the corresponding results. Using the parameterization of the multifilter banks, we easily reconstruct the Chui-Lian multiwavelet systems with support [0,2] and [0,3]. Moreover, a new orthogonal multiwavelet system with symmetric center 2 is obtained, and the corresponding multiscaling function has approximation order 2.  相似文献

In this paper we establish the existence of standing wave solutions for quasilinear Schrödinger equations involving critical growth. By using a change of variables, the quasilinear equations are reduced to semilinear one, whose associated functionals are well defined in the usual Sobolev space and satisfy the geometric conditions of the mountain pass theorem. Using this fact, we obtain a Cerami sequence converging weakly to a solution v. In the proof that v is nontrivial, the main tool is the concentration-compactness principle due to P.L. Lions together with some classical arguments used by H. Brezis and L. Nirenberg (1983) in [9].  相似文献
