Recent work of G. Mauceri, S. Meda, and M. Vallarino produces L p estimates on a natural class of functions of the Laplace–Beltrami operator on a Riemannian manifold M, under fairly weak geometrical hypotheses, namely lower bounds on its injectivity radius and Ricci tensor, but with an auxiliary decay hypothesis on the heat semigroup. The purpose of this paper is to study the solution of 0 ∈ T(x) for an H-monotone operator introduced in [Fang and Huang, Appl. Math. Comput. 145(2003)795-803] in Hilbert spaces, which is the first proposal of it's kind. Some strong and weak convergence results are presented and the relations between maximal monotone operators and H-monotone operators are analyzed. Simultaneously, we apply these results to the minimization problem for T = ∂f and provide some numerical examples to support the theoretical findings.  相似文献

Denote by n(T) the nth two-sided ergodic average of T, taken in the form of the nth (C,1) mean of the sequence {Tj+T–j}j =1 . Martín-Reyes and de la Torre have shown that the existence of a maximal ergodic estimate for T is characterized by either of the following two conditions: (a) the strong convergence of En(T)n=1 ; (b) a uniform A p p estimate in terms of discrete weights generated by the pointwise action on of certain measurable functions canonically associated with T. We show that strong convergence of the (C,2) means of {Tj+T–j}j=1 already implies (b). For this purpose the (C,2) means are used to set up an `averaged' variant of the requisite uniform A p weight estimates in (b). This result, which can be viewed as a Tauberian-Type replacement of (C,1) means by (C,2) means in (a), leads to a spectral-theoretic characterization of the maximal ergodic estimate by application of a recent result of the authors establishing the strong convergence of the (C,2)-weighted ergodic means for all trigonometrically well-bounded operators. This application also serves to equate uniform boundedness of the rotated Hilbert averages of T with the uniform boundedness of the ergodic averages En(T)n = 1 .  相似文献

In (Can J Math 51(2):326–346, 1999), Martin and Stinson provide a generalized MacWilliams identity for linear ordered orthogonal arrays and linear ordered codes (introduced by Rosenbloom and Tsfasman (Prob Inform Transm 33(1):45–52, 1997) as “codes for the m-metric”) using association schemes. We give an elementary proof of this generalized MacWilliams identity using group characters and use it to derive an explicit formula for the dual type distribution of a linear ordered code or orthogonal array.   相似文献

The results of Kasparov, Connes, Higson, and Loring imply the coincidence of the functors [[qℂ ⊗ K, BK]] = [[C 0(ℝ2) ⊗ K, BK]] for any C*-algebra B; here[[A, B]] denotes the set of homotopy classes of asymptotic homomorphisms from A to B. Inthe paper, this assertion is strengthened; namely, it is shown that the algebras qℂ ⊗ K and C 0(ℝ2) ⊗ K are equivalent in the category whose objects are C*-algebras and morphisms are classes of homotopic asymptotic homomorphisms. Some geometric properties of the obtained equivalence are studied. Namely, the algebras qℂ ⊗ K and C 0(ℝ2) ⊗ K are represented as fields of C*-algebras; it is proved that the equivalence is not fiber-preserving, i.e., is does not take fibers to fibers. In this paper, we introduce and study a new system of variational inclusions with (A, η, m)-accretive operators which contains variational inequalities, variational inclusions, systems of variational inequalities and systems of variational inclusions in the literature as special cases. By using the resolvent technique for the (A, η, m)-accretive operators, we prove the existence and uniqueness of solution and the convergence of a new multi-step iterative algorithm for this system of variational inclusions in real q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces. In this paper, we extend the (S) + 1 condition to multivalued mappings in an ordered Hausdorff topological vector space and we derive some existence results for generalized vector variational inequalities associated with multivalued mappings satisfying the (S) + 1 condition. We generalize also an existence result of Cubiotti and Yao for generalized variational inequalities of class (S) + 1 to barreled normed spaces. The spherical harmonics method in the P1 and P2 approximations is used to analyze radiative heat transfer for a space vehicle entering a planet’s atmosphere. Strong blowing of ablated materials from the vehicle surface is taken into account by using a two-layer flow model without allowance for the viscosity and thermal conduction of the gas. The heating and ablation of a multilayered thermal protection system are determined simultaneously with the vehicle’s flight trajectory, which is calculated taking into account the mass loss due to the ablation. The approach is illustrated by computing the flight of a space vehicle shaped as a spherical segment or a spherically blunted cone entering the Jovian atmosphere at a speed of 60 km/s and an entry angle of ?5°.  相似文献

Let T be a locally compact Hausdorff space and let C 0(T) be the Banach space of all complex valued continuous functions vanishing at infinity in T, provided with the supremum norm. Let X be a quasicomplete locally convex Hausdorff space. A simple proof of the theorem on regular Borel extension of X-valued -additive Baire measures on T is given, which is more natural and direct than the existing ones. Using this result the integral representation and weak compactness of a continuous linear map u: C 0(T) X when c 0 X are obtained. The proof of the latter result is independent of the use of powerful results such as Theorem 6 of [6] or Theorem 3 (vii) of [13].  相似文献
