In this paper, we will give conditions which will guarantee the existence of positive solutions for a variety of second order boundary value problems, using the well-known Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem. We will deal with a specific differential equation meeting a specific initial condition and use a general boundary condition, involving a not necessarily linear functional. Our purpose is to pose conditions on that functional, which will guarantee that the Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem can be applied. It is important to notice that only the values of this functional on two specific functions are involved in the conditions we pose. This paper unifies the way we deal with a wide variety of boundary value problems and provides results which, to the best of our knowledge, are new.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a new class of boundary value problems from a fractional differential inclusion of Riemann–Liouville type and nonlocal Hadamard fractional integral boundary conditions. Some new existence results for convex as well as non-convex multi-valued maps are obtained using standard fixed point theorems. The obtained results are illustrated by examples.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a new class of 3‐point boundary value problems of nonlinear fractional difference equations. Our problems contain difference and fractional sum boundary conditions. Existence and uniqueness of solutions are proved by using the Banach fixed‐point theorem, and existence of the positive solutions is proved by using the Krasnoselskii's fixed‐point theorem. In this paper, we consider the properties of Green’s function for a class of nonlinear Caputo fractional differential equations with integral boundary conditions by constructing an available integral operator. By means of well-known fixed point theorems and lower and upper solutions method, some new existence and nonexistence criteria of single or multiple positive solutions for fractional differential equation boundary value problems are established. We consider problems about interaction of surface waves with fixed and freely floating bodies. We propose a new boundary value problem with integro–differential boundary conditions. This problem has physical sense only in the case of a totally submerged body, but, in the case of symmetry in the geometric or physical sense, the nonemptiness of its discrete spectrum provides the existence of eigenvalues of both problems for a fixed body and a freely floating body (in the last case, under some additional requirements which make the comparison principle incomplete). In this paper, we study the impulsive boundary value problems with Riemann–Stieltjes Δ-integral conditions and p-Laplacian operator on timescales. Using the Leray–Schauder fixed point theorem and the nonlinear alternative of Leray–Schauder type, we get the existence of at least one positive solution. We also consider the existence of at least three positive solutions using a new fixed point theorem. Finally, we give an example to show the feasibility of our main results.  相似文献

In this article we present a new fixed point theorem for a class of general mixed monotone operators, which extends the existing corresponding results. Moreover, we establish some pleasant properties of nonlinear eigenvalue problems for mixed monotone operators. Based on them the local existence-uniqueness of positive solutions for nonlinear boundary value problems which include Neumann boundary value problems, three-point boundary value problems and elliptic boundary value problems for Lane-Emden-Fowler equations is proved. Existence of nonzero positive solutions  of systems of second order elliptic boundary value problems under sublinear conditions is obtained. The methodology is to establish a new result on existence of nonzero positive solutions of a fixed point equation in real Banach spaces by using the well-known theory of fixed point index for compact maps defined on cones, where the fixed point equation involves composition of a compact linear operator and a continuous nonlinear map. The conditions imposed on the nonlinear maps involve the spectral radii of the compact linear operators. Moreover, the nonlinear maps are not required to be increasing in  ordered Banach spaces.  相似文献

In this paper we study the existence of positive solutions to a system of second-order nonlocal boundary value problems by using fixed point index theory in a cone. Our hypotheses imposed on nonlinearities are those which characterize systems of nonlocal boundary value problems, and our boundary value conditions are expressed in terms of possibly nonlinear functions of Riemann–Stieltjes integrals, thus generalizing and unifying the boundary value conditions in the literature. Therefore our results cannot be routinely deduced from the ones for single nonlocal problem in the literature.  相似文献

In this paper,we investigate the existence of positive solutions of a class higher order boundary value problems on time scales.The class of boundary value problems educes a four-point(or three-point or two-point) boundary value problems,for which some similar results are established.Our approach relies on the Krasnosel’skii fixed point theorem.The result of this paper is new and extends previously known results.  相似文献
