We investigate an optimal harvesting problem for age-structured population dynamics with logistic term and periodic vital rates. This paper addresses the problem of optimizing the distribution of the support of the internal null control of minimal L2-norm for the 1-D heat equation. A measure constraint is imposed on the support but no topological assumption such as the number of connected components. Therefore, the problem typically lacks of solution in the class of characteristic functions and needs of relaxation. We show that the relaxed formulation is obtained by replacing the set of characteristic functions by its convex envelope. The proof requires that the observability constant related to the control problem be uniform with respect to the support, property which is obtained by the control transmutation method. The optimality conditions of the relaxed problem as well as the case where the number of connected components is fixed a priori are also discussed. Several numerical experiments complete the study and suggest the ill-posedness of the problem in contrast to the wave situation. 相似文献

The dynamics of a predator-prey system, where prey population has two stages, an immature stage and a mature stage with harvesting, the growth of predator population is of Lotka-Volterra nature, are modelled by a system of retarded functional differential equations. We obtain conditions for global asymptotic stability of three nonnegative equilibria and a threshold of harvesting for the mature prey population. The effect of delay on the population at positive equilibrium and the optimal harvesting of the mature prey population are also considered. 相似文献

This article concerns optimal control and stabilization for some Fisher-like models with control acting in a subdomain ω. We investigate the optimal position of ω for some optimal harvesting problems. First, we refer to a logistic model with diffusion. We remember the necessary optimality conditions, and then obtain an iterative method to improve the position of ω for the optimal harvesting effort (for a simplified model without logistic term). Next, we consider the null stabilization for a controlled Fisher model and obtain a descent method to improve the position of ω in order to get a faster stabilization to zero. Numerical tests illustrating the effect of the last method are given. We also studied the null stabilization for a prey-predator system and have reduced it to the study of the null stabilizability for a related Fisher model. 相似文献

This paper mainly concerns the numerical solution of a nonlinear parabolic double obstacle problem arising in a finite-horizon optimal investment problem with proportional transaction costs. The problem is initially posed in terms of an evolutive HJB equation with gradient constraints and the properties of the utility function allow to obtain the optimal investment solution from a nonlinear problem posed in one spatial variable. The proposed numerical methods mainly consist of a localization procedure to pose the problem on a bounded domain, a characteristics method for time discretization to deal with the large gradients of the solution, a Newton algorithm to solve the nonlinear term in the governing equation and a projected relaxation scheme to cope with the double obstacle (free boundary) feature. Moreover, piecewise linear Lagrange finite elements for spatial discretization are considered. Numerical results illustrate the performance of the set of numerical techniques by recovering all qualitative properties proved in Dai and Yi (2009) [6]. 相似文献

This paper presents the stability of difference approximations of an optimal control problem for a quasilinear parabolic equation with controls in the coefficients, boundary conditions and additional restrictions. The optimal control problem has been convered to one of the optimization problem using a penalty function technique. The difference approximations problem for the considered problem is obtained. The estimations of stability of the solution of difference approximations problem are proved.
