In this article we consider the fully discrete two-level finite element Galerkin method for the two-dimensional nonstationary incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. This method consists in dealing with the fully discrete nonlinear Navier-Stokes problem on a coarse mesh with width $H$ and the fully discrete linear generalized Stokes problem on a fine mesh with width $h << H$. Our results show that if we choose $H=O(h^{1/2}$) this method is as the same stability and convergence as the fully discrete standard finite element Galerkin method which needs dealing with the fully discrete nonlinear Navier-Stokes problem on a fine mesh with width $h$. However, our method is cheaper than the standard fully discrete finite element Galerkin method.  相似文献

In this paper, a finite element method is proposed to investigate multiple solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations for an unsteady, laminar, incompressible flow in a porous expanding channel. Dual or triple solutions for the fixed values of the wall suction Reynolds number $R$ and the expansion ratio $α$ are obtained numerically. The computed multiple solutions for the symmetric flow are validated by comparing them with approximate analytic solutions obtained by the similarity transformation and homotopy analysis method. Unlike previous works, our method deals with the Navier-Stokes equations directly and thus has no similarity and other restrictions as in previous works. Finally we use the method to study multiple solutions for three cases of the asymmetric flow (which has not been studied before using the similarity-type techniques).  相似文献

In this article we consider a two-level finite element Galerkin method using mixed finite elements for the two-dimensional nonstationary incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. The method yields a $H^1$-optimal velocity approximation and a $L_2$-optimal pressure approximation. The two-level finite element Galerkin method involves solving one small, nonlinear Navier-Stokes problem on the coarse mesh with mesh size $H$, one linear Stokes problem on the fine mesh with mesh size $h << H$. The algorithm we study produces an approximate solution with the optimal, asymptotic in $h$, accuracy.  相似文献

In this paper,the Dirichlet problem of Stokes approximate of non-homogeneous incompressibleNavier-Stokes equations is studied.It is shown that there exist global weak solutions as well as global andunique strong solution for this problem,under the assumption that initial density ρ_0(x)is bounded away from0 and other appropriate assumptions(see Theorem 1 and Theorem 2).The semi-Galerkin method is applied toconstruct the approximate solutions and a prior estimates are made to elaborate upon the compactness of theapproximate solutions.  相似文献

In this paper,a nonconforming triangular mixed finite element scheme with second order convergence behavior is proposed for the stationary Navier-Stokes equations.The new nonconforming triangular element is taken as approximation space for the velocity and the linear element for the pressure.The convergence analysis is presented and optimal error estimates of both broken H1-norm and L2-norm for velocity as well as the L2-norm for the pressure are derived.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct an $H^1$-conforming quadratic finite element on convex polygonal meshes using the generalized barycentric coordinates. The element has optimal approximation rates. Using this quadratic element, two stable discretizations for the Stokes equations are developed, which can be viewed as the extensions of the $P_2$-$P_0$ and the $Q_2$-(discontinuous)$P_1$ elements, respectively, to polygonal meshes. Numerical results are presented, which support our theoretical claims.  相似文献

对二维定常的不可压缩的Navier-Stokes方程的局部和并行算法进行了研究.给出的算法是多重网格和区域分解相结合的算法,它是基于两个有限元空间:粗网格上的函数空间和子区域的细网格上的函数空间.局部算法是在粗网格上求一个非线性问题,然后在细网格上求一个线性问题,并舍掉内部边界附近的误差相对较大的解.最后,基于局部算法,通过有重叠的区域分解而构造了并行算法,并且做了算法的误差分析,得到了比标准有限元方法更好的误差估计,也对算法做了数值试验,数值结果通过比较验证了本算法的高效性和合理性.  相似文献

In this article, we propose a non-conforming exponentially accurate least-squares spectral element method for Oseen equations in primitive variable formulation that is applicable to both two- and three-dimensional domains. First-order reformulation is avoided, and the condition number is controlled by a suitable preconditioner for velocity components and pressure variable. A preconditioned conjugate gradient method is used to obtain the solution. Navier-Stokes equations in primitive variable formulation have been solved by solving a sequence of Oseen type iterations. For numerical test cases, similar order convergence has been achieved for all Reynolds number cases at the cost of higher iteration number for higher Reynolds number.  相似文献

Finite volume element method for the Stokes problem is considered. We use a conforming piecewise linear function on a fine grid for velocity and piecewise constant element on a coarse grid for pressure. For general triangulation we prove the equivalence of the finite volume element method and a saddle-point problem, the inf-sup condition and the uniqueness of the approximation solution. We also give the optimal order H^1 norm error estimate. For two widely used dual meshes we give the L^2 norm error estimates, which is optimal in one case and quasi-optimal in another ease. The Stokes system with a discontinuous coefficient (Stokes interface problem) and its finite element approximations are considered. We firstly show a general error estimate. To derive explicit convergence rates, we introduce some appropriate assumptions on the regularity of exact solutions and on a geometric condition for the triangulation. We mainly deal with the MINI element approximation and then consider P1-iso-P2/P1 element approximation. Results are expected to give an instructive remark in numerical analysis for two-phase flow problems.  相似文献

基于局部Gauss积分和梯形外推公式,速度/压力空间采用最低等阶非协调元NCP1-P1逼近,针对非定常Navier-Stokes方程最优控制问题,建立了一种全离散的非协调有限元局部稳定化格式.该格式绕开了inf-sup条件的束缚,且在每一时间步上,只需要做线性计算,减少了计算量.证明了该格式是无条件稳定的,给出了详细的误差分析.误差结果表明,该线性格式在时间上具有二阶精度.  相似文献

This paper presents a Martingale regularization method for the stochastic Navier-Stokes equations with additive noise. The original system is split into two equivalent parts, the linear stochastic Stokes equations with Martingale solution and the stochastic modified Navier-Stokes equations with relatively-higher regularities. Meanwhile, a fractional Laplace operator is introduced to regularize the noise term. The stability and convergence of numerical scheme for the pathwise modified Navier-Stokes equations are proved.The comparisons of non-regularized and regularized noises for the Navier-Stokes system are numerically presented to further demonstrate the efficiency of our numerical scheme.  相似文献
