The new compounds CpV(B(3)H(8))(2), CpCr(B(3)H(8))(2), and Cp(2)Co(2)(B(6)H(14)) have been synthesized by treating the pentamethylcyclopentadienyl complexes [CpVCl(2)](3), [CpCrCl(2)](2), and [CpCoCl](2) with NaB(3)H(8). X-ray crystallography shows that CpV(B(3)H(8))(2) and CpCr(B(3)H(8))(2) have the same ligand sets but different molecular structures: the vanadium compound contains two bidentate B(3)H(8) ligands (i.e., bound to the metal center via two vicinal hydrogen atoms), whereas the chromium compound has one bidentate B(3)H(8) ligand and one B(3)H(8) ligand bound in an unprecedented fashion via two geminal hydrogen atoms. The "gem-bound" B(3)H(8) group itself has an atypical structure consisting of a BH(2)-BH(2)-BH(3) triangle with one additional hydrogen atom bridging the unique BH(2)-BH(2) edge. The B-B distances are nearly identical within experimental error at 1.790(5), 1.792(5), and 1.786(6) Angstrom. The relationship between the electronic and molecular structures of the V and Cr compounds is briefly discussed. The structure of Cp(2)Co(2)(B(6)H(14)) can be viewed in two different ways: as a dicobalt complex in which two CpCo units are each bound to four adjacent boron atoms of an S-shaped B(6)H(14) ligand, or as an eight-vertex hypho cluster compound. In the former case, the B(6)H(14) ligand is best regarded as a dianionic bi-borallyl group H(3)B(mu-H)BH(mu-H)BHBH(mu-H)BH(mu-H)BH(3) in which one hydrogen at each end of the chain is involved in an agostic interaction. From a cluster point of view, the structure of Cp(2)Co(2)(B(6)H(14)) can be generated by removing three adjacent high-connectivity vertices from the eleven-vertex closo polyhedron. The Co-B distances vary from 2.008(5) to 2.183(4) Angstrom, and the B-B distances within in the S-shaped chain range from 1.734(8) to 1.889(6) Angstrom. Finally, a new synthesis of the known molybdenum compound Cp(2)Mo(2)(B(5)H(9)) is described; its structure as established by X-ray crystallography closely resembles that of the previously described (C(5)H(4)Me) analogue.  相似文献

Thermal analysis on two new heterometallic sulfide clusters, [PPh4]2[WS3(CuBr)3]2 and [PPh4]2[MoS3(CuBr)3]2 (where PPh4=tetraphenyl phosphonium, =pentamethylcyclopenta- dienyl), was carried out using a simultaneous TG-DTA unit in an atmosphere of flowing nitrogen and at various heating rates. Supplemented using EDS method, their thermal behavior and properties, together with the composition of their intermediate product, were examined and discussed in connection with their distinctive molecular structure as a dianion, which provided some theoretically and practically significant information. Both clusters decomposed in a two-step mode, but without a stable new phase composed of Mo/W-Cu-S formed during their decomposition process as we expected. Based on TG-DTG data, four methods, i.e. Achar-Brindley-Sharp, Coats-Redfern, Kissinger and Flynn- Wall-Ozawa equation, were used to calculate the non-isothermal kinetic parameters and to determine the most probable mechanisms. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

A series of heptametallic cyanide cages are described; they represent soluble analogues of defect-containing cyanometalate solid-state polymers. Reaction of 0.75 equiv of [Cp*Ru(NCMe)3]PF6, Et(4)N[Cp*Rh(CN)3], and 0.25 equiv of CsOTf in MeCN solution produced (Cs subset [CpCo(CN)3]4[Cp*Ru]3)(Cs subset Rh4Ru3). 1H and 133Cs NMR measurements show that Cs subset Rh4Ru3 exists as a single Cs isomer. In contrast, (Cs subset [CpCo(CN)3]4[Cp*Ru]3) (Cs subset Co4Ru3), previously lacking crystallographic characterization, adopts both Cs isomers in solution. In situ ESI-MS studies on the synthesis of Cs subset Rh4Ru3 revealed two Cs-containing intermediates, Cs subset Rh2Ru2+ (1239 m/z) and Cs subset Rh3Ru3+ (1791 m/z), which underscore the participation of Cs+ in the mechanism of cage formation. 133Cs NMR shifts for the cages correlated with the number of CN groups bound to Cs+: Cs subset Co4Ru4+ (delta 1 vs delta 34 for CsOTf), Cs subset Rh4Ru3 where Cs+ is surrounded by ten CN ligands (delta 91), Cs subset Co4Ru3, which consists of isomers with 11 and 10 pi-bonded CNs (delta 42 and delta 89, respectively). Although (K subset [Cp*Rh(CN)3]4[Cp*Ru]3) could not be prepared, (NH4 subset [Cp*Rh(CN)3]4[Cp*Ru]3) (NH4 subset Rh4Ru3) forms readily by NH4+-template cage assembly. IR and NMR measurements indicate that NH4+ binding is weak and that the site symmetry is low. CsOTf quantitatively and rapidly converts NH4 subset Rh4Ru3 into Cs subset Rh4Ru3, demonstrating the kinetic advantages of the M7 cages as ion receptors. Crystallographic characterization of CsCo4Ru3 revealed that it crystallizes in the Cs-(exo)1(endo)2 isomer. In addition to the nine mu-CN ligands, two CN(t) ligands are pi-bonded to Cs+. M subset Rh4Ru3 (M = NH4, Cs) crystallizes as the second Cs isomer, that is, (exo)2(endo)1, wherein only one CN(t) ligand interacts with the included cation. The distorted framework of NH4 subset Rh4Ru3 reflects the smaller ionic radius of NH4+. The protons of NH4+ were located crystallographically, allowing precise determination of the novel NH4...CN interaction. A competition experiment between calix[4]arene-bis(benzocrown-6) and NH4 subset Rh4Ru3 reveals NH4 subset Rh4Ru3 has a higher affinity for cesium.  相似文献

Hydrogenolysis of [Cp(PMe(3))Rh(Me)(CH(2)Cl(2))](+)BAr'(4)(-) (4, Ar' = 3,5-C(6)H(3)(CF(3))(2)) in dichloromethane afforded the nonclassical polyhydride complex [Cp*PMe(3))Rh(H)(H(2))](+)BAr'(4)(-) (1), which exhibits a single hydride resonance at all accessible temperatures in the (1)H NMR spectrum. Exposure of solutions of 1 to D(2) or T(2) gas resulted in partial isotopic substitution in the hydride sites. Formulation of 1 as a hydride/dihydrogen complex was based upon T(1) (T(1)(min) = 23 ms at 150 K, 500 MHz), J(H-D) (ca. 10 Hz), and J(H-T) (ca. 70 Hz) measurements. The barrier (Delta G(++)) to exchange of hydride with dihydrogen sites was determined to be less than ca. 5 kcal/mol. Protonation of Cp(PMe(3))Rh(H)(2) (2) using H(OEt(2))(2)BAr'(4) resulted in binuclear species [(Cp(PMe(3))Rh(H))(2)(mu-H)](+)BAr'(4)(-) (3), which is formed in a reaction involving 1 as an intermediate. Complex 3 contains two terminal hydrides and one bridging hydride ligand which exchange with a barrier of 9.1 kcal/mol as observed by (1)H NMR spectroscopy. Additionally, the structures of 3 and 4, determined by X-ray diffraction, are reported.  相似文献

Formal [2 + 2 + 2] addition reactions of [Cp*Ru(H2O)(NBD)]BF4 (NBD = norbornadiene) with PhC?CR (R = H, COOEt) give [Cp*Ru(η6‐C6H5? C9H8R)] BF4 (1a, R = H; 2a, R = COOEt). Treatment of [Cp*Ru(H2O)(NBD)]BF4 with PhC?C? C?CPh does not give [2 + 2 + 2] addition product, but [Cp*Ru(η6‐C6H5? C?C? C?CPh)] BF4(3a). Treatment of 1a, 2a, 3a with NaBPh4 affords [Cp*Ru(η6‐C6H5? C9H8R)] BPh4 (1b, R = H; 2b, R = COOEt) and [Cp*Ru(η6‐C6H5? C?C? C?CPh)] BPh4(3b). The structures of 1b, 2b and 3b were determined by X‐ray crystallography. The reduction of Cp2MCl2 (M = Ti, Zr) with magnesium in THF in the presence of PMe3 affords the complexes Cp2M(PMe3)2 in high yields. These compounds lose one or both PMe3 ligands under very mild conditions. Cp2Ti(PMe3)2 reacts readily with CH3I, CH3C(O)Cl, PhSSPh, Me2PCH2CH2PMe2, CO, RCN (R = Me, t-Bu) or (RN)2S (R = t-Bu, Me3Si) to give the corresponding titanocene products. The structure of Cp2Zr(PMe3)2 has been determined by X-ray diffraction; the structural parameters are similar to those of the titanium analog Cp2Ti(PMe3)2 except that the Zr-P and Zr-C distances are longer.  相似文献

Treatment of [Cp*Rh(H(2)O)(3)](OTf)(2) (1) with Me(3)SiNH-t-Bu in acetone gave a hydroxyl-capped half-cubane [Cp*(3)Rh(3)(mu-OH)(3)(mu(3)-OH)](OTf)(3)(t-BuNH(3)) (2). Slow diffusion of Me(3)SiN(3) in diethyl ether into compound in acetone produced an azido-capped half-cubane [Cp*(3)Rh(3)(mu-N(3))(3)(mu(3)-N(3))](OTf)(2) (3). On the other hand, treating 1 with Me(3)SiN(3) in acetone gave an azido-bridged, dinuclear rhodium(III) complex [Cp*Rh(mu-N(3))(OH(2))](2)(OTf)(2) (4). Complexes 2 and 3 represent the first azido- or hydroxyl-capped, incomplete cubane-type Rh clusters. Under appropriate conditions, complexes 2 and 3 could be converted to complex 4. The structures of all products were determined by X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Chalcogen Derivatives of the Halfsandwich Tungsten(V) Complexes Cp*WCl4 and Cp*WCl4(PMe3). X‐Ray Crystal Structure Analyses of anti ‐[Cp*W(Se)(μ‐Se)]2 and Cp*W(S)2(OMe) The chalcogenation of Cp*WCl4 ( 1 ) by E(SiMe3)2 (E = S, Se) and Te(SiMe2tBu)2 in chloroform solution leads to dimeric products of the type anti‐[Cp*W(E)(μ‐E)]2 (E = S ( 3 a ), Se ( 3 b ) and Te ( 3 c )). An X‐ray structure determination of 3 b indicates a centrosymmetric molecule containing a planar W(μ‐Se)2W ring, the W–W distance (297.9(1) pm) corresponds to a single bond. In the presence of air the two terminal chalcogenido ligands (E) in 3 a – c are stepwise replaced by oxido ligands (O) to give [Cp*W(O)(μ‐E)]2 (E = S ( 5 a ), Se ( 5 b ) and Te ( 5 c )) in quantitative yields. The reaction of Cp*WCl4 with H2S or ammonium polysulfide, (NH4)2Sx (x ∼ 10), leads to Cp*W(S)2Cl ( 6 a ); the corresponding methoxy derivative, Cp*W(S)2OCH3 ( 9 a ), has been characterized by an X‐ray structure analysis. On the other hand, the reaction of Cp*WCl4(PMe3) ( 2 ) with sodium tetrasulfide, Na2S4, in dimethylformamide solution gives a mixture of mononuclear Cp*W(S)(S2)Cl ( 8 a ), dinuclear [Cp*W(S)(μ‐S)]2 ( 3 a ) and a trinuclear side‐product of composition Cp*2W3S7 ( 13 a ). Terminal sulfido ligands are replaced by terminal oxido ligands in solution in the presence of oxygen. Thus, 6 a is stepwise converted into Cp*W(O)(S)Cl ( 10 a ) and CpW(O)2Cl ( 12 a ), whereas 8 a gives Cp*W(O)(S2)Cl ( 11 a ) and 13 a leads to Cp*2W3(O)S6 ( 14 a ). The disulfido complexes 8 a and 11 a are desulfurized by triphenylphosphane to give 6 a and 10 a . The new complexes have been characterized by their IR and NMR spectra and by mass spectrometry.  相似文献

The present contribution reports experimental and computational investigations of the interaction between [Cp*Fe(dppe)H] and different proton donors (HA). The focus is on the structure of the proton transfer intermediates and on the potential energy surface of the proton transfer leading to the dihydrogen complex [Cp*Fe(dppe)(H2)]+. With p-nitrophenol (PNP) a UV/Visible study provides evidence of the formation of the ion-pair stabilized by a hydrogen bond between the nonclassical cation [Cp*Fe(dppe)(H2)]+ and the homoconjugated anion ([AHA]-). With trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), the hydrogen-bonded ion pair containing the simple conjugate base (A-) in equilibrium with the free ions is observed by IR spectroscopy when using a deficit of the proton donor. An excess leads to the formation of the homoconjugated anion. The interaction with hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) was investigated quantitatively by IR spectroscopy and by 1H and 31P NMR spectroscopy at low temperatures (200-260 K) and by stopped-flow kinetics at about room temperature (288-308 K). The hydrogen bond formation to give [Cp*Fe(dppe)H]HA is characterized by DeltaH degrees =-6.5+/-0.4 kcal mol(-1) and DeltaS degrees = -18.6+/-1.7 cal mol(-1) K(-1). The activation barrier for the proton transfer step, which occurs only upon intervention of a second HFIP molecule, is DeltaH(not equal) = 2.6+/-0.3 kcal mol(-1) and DeltaS(not equal) = -44.5+/-1.1 cal mol(-1) K(-1). The computational investigation (at the DFT/B3 LYP level with inclusion of solvent effects by the polarizable continuum model) reproduces all the qualitative findings, provided the correct number of proton donor molecules are used in the model. The proton transfer process is, however, computed to be less exothermic than observed in the experiment.  相似文献

The late-transition-metal parent amido compound [Ir(Cp*)(PMe3)(Ph)(NH2)] (2) has been synthesized by deprotonation of the corresponding ammine complex [Ir(Cp*)(PMe3)(Ph)(NH3)][OTf] (6) with KN(SiMe3)2. An X-ray structure determination has ascertained its monomeric nature. Proton-transfer studies indicate that 2 can successfully deprotonate p-nitrophenylacetonitrile, aniline, and phenol. Crystallographic analysis has revealed that the ion pair [Ir(Cp*)(PMe3)(Ph)(NH3)][OPh] (8) exists as a hydrogen-bonded dimer in the solid state. Reactions of 2 with isocyanates and carbodiimides lead to overall insertion of the heterocumulenes into the N--H bond of the Ir-bonded amido group, demonstrating the ability of 2 to act as an efficient nucleophile. Intriguing reactivity is observed when amide 2 reacts with CO or 2,6-dimethylphenyl isocyanide. eta4-Tetramethylfulvene complexes [Ir(eta4-C5Me4CH2)(PMe3)(Ph)(L)] (L=CO (15), CNC6H3-2,6-(CH3)2 (16)) are formed in solution through displacement of the amido group by the incoming ligand followed by deprotonation of a methyl group on the Cp* ring and liberation of ammonia. Conclusive evidence for the presence of the Ir-bonded eta4-tetramethylfulvene moiety in the solid state has been provided by an X-ray diffraction study of complex 16.  相似文献

Azido Derivatives of the Pentamethylcyclopentadienyl Vanadium(IV)-Fragment. Molecular Structures of the Binuclear Complexes [Cp*VCl(N3)(μ-N3)]2 and [Cp*V(N3)2(μ-N3)]2 The stepwise reaction of Cp*VCl3 with excess trimethylsilyl azide (Me3Si–N3) in solution leads to the paramagnetic, azido-bridged complexes [Cp*VCl2(μ-N3)]2 ( 3 ), [Cp*VCl(N3)(μ-N3)]2 ( 4 ) and [Cp*V(N3)2(μ-N3)]2 ( 5 ) which were characterized by their IR and mass spectra. The azide-rich binuclear complex 5 is also formed if a pentane solution of Cp*V(CO)4 is stirred in the presence of excess Me3Si–N3 in an open vessel. According to the X-ray structure analyses both 4 and 5 are centrosymmetric molecules with a planar V(N)2V four-membered ring. In the absence of free trimethylsilyl azide, solutions of 3 – 5 lose dinitrogen slowly; in the presence of traces of air, 5 is thereby converted to the diamagnetic, oxo-bridged complex [Cp*V(O)(N3)]2(μ-O) ( 6 ).  相似文献
