A study is made of phase transitions in doped La0.9Sr0.1MnO3 compounds using combined x-ray, electrical, and magnetic measurements. Structural phase transitions are observed accompanied by a change in the cell volume at temperatures of 100–110 K and 300–340 K. These structural changes are found to be related to different contributions of the rhombic Jahn-Teller Q 2 mode to the formation of the crystal lattice. The structural transition at 100–110 K is accompanied by distinctive magnetic and electrical properties. The data are analyzed in detail. Fiz. Tverd. 用直流磁控溅射法在(100)LaAlO3衬底上制备了La0.9Sr0.1MnO3薄膜.经退火处理后薄膜的原子力显微镜形貌观测和X射线衍射分析显示具有比较好的质量.电阻率-温度关系表明La0.9Sr0.1MnO3薄膜在281 K处发生金属绝缘体转变.电流在0.01-4 mA范围内,薄膜的峰值电阻率随电流增大而减小,在4 mA下获得了30.5%的峰值电阻率变化率,并从相分离图像给出了简单解释.  相似文献

The crystal and magnetic structure of Pr0.1Sr0.9MnO3 manganite has been studied by the neutron diffraction at high pressures up to 5 GPa in the temperature range 10?C295 K. At normal pressure and decreasing temperature the appearance of the C-type (T N = 220 K) and G-type (T N = 180 K) antiferromagnetic states occurs, which is accompanied by a structural phase transition from the cubic structure (Pm $ \bar 3 $ m space group) to the tetragonal structure (I4/mcm space group). It is shown that the temperature of the transition to the C-type antiferromagnetic phase increases with pressure with the pressure coefficient dT N/dP = 4.0(5) K/GPa and the temperature of the transition to the G-type antiferromagnetic phase weakly depends on pressure.  相似文献

The absorption edge of the perovskite La0.9Sr0.1MnO3, determined using the diffuse reflection coefficient spectra, shifts by the giant amount 0.4 eV in the direction of lower energies as the temperature decreases from the Curie point (155 K) to 141 K. Temperature dependences of electrical resistance and thermopower of a La0.85Sr0.15MnO3 single crystal were measured in the paramagnetic and ferromagnetic dielectric phases. It was shown that charge transfer in both phases is due to the variable-range polaron hopping over the localized states. The activation energies in both phases linearly depend on T 3/4 but differ from each other by a constant which is approximately equal to the exchange energy kT c. The results obtained are in compliance with the concept of percolation character of metal-insulator transition in manganites.  相似文献

Good rectifying current-voltage characteristics and nanosecond photoelectric effects are observed in the p-n hereto junctions of La0.9Sr0.1 MnO3/SrNb0.01 Ti0.99O3 fabricated by laser molecular beam epitaxy. The rise time is about 26ns and the full width at half maximum is about 125ns for the open-circuit, photovoltaic pulses when the La0.9Sr0.1MnO3 film in the heterojunction is irradiated by a laser operated at wavelength 308nm with pulse duration of about 25 ns. A qualitative explanation is presented, based on an analysis of the photoelectric effect of p-n hereto junction.  相似文献

Magnetic susceptibility of the La0.9MnO3 single crystal was measured and its (139La, 55Mn) NMR spectra were recorded. The data obtained indicate that the areas with an A-type antiferromagnetic order (T N=140 K) and magnetic moments aligned with the b axis occupy a major part of the sample volume in manganite with a considerable concentration of cationic vacancies; simultaneously, the clusters with a canted magnetic sublattice and ferromagnetic interaction between magnetic moments are formed near the vacancies. Charge distribution in these clusters is materially different from that in the antiferromagnetic areas. Magnetic state and relative concentration of the clusters are discussed.  相似文献

The elastic thermal-neutron scattering patterns of a La0.85Sr0.15MnO3 manganite orthorhombic single crystal are investigated in the temperature range 4.2–300 K. It is found that, in addition to the known ferromagnetic ordering (T C=240 K), this compound exhibits a ferromagnetic superstructure with the (010)2π/b wave vector (in the Pnma setting of the space group D 2h 16 ). The ferromagnetic superstructure is observed in the studied crystal at temperatures ranging from 4.2 to 200 K. It is shown that the formation of the ferromagnetic superstructure in this compound is directly associated with a 1/8-type charge ordering of Mn3+ and Mn4+ ions.  相似文献

The dynamic process of photoelectric effects in the La0.9Sr0.1MnO3/SrNb0.01Ti0.99O3 heterostructure is theoretically revealed by solving equations consisting of time dependent drift–diffusion, Richardson thermionic emission current, and Shockley–Read–Hall recombination. The calculated time dependent evolution of photovoltage and the variation of carrier concentration are obtained. Present results indicate that a smaller parallel resistance should result in faster photoelectric response, but reduce the peak value of the photovoltage in a La0.9Sr0.1MnO3/SrNb0.01Ti0.99O3 heterojunction. In addition, the increase of the carrier mobilities induced by applying higher energy photons can decrease the rise time but increase the peak value of the photovoltage.  相似文献

The magneto-elastic properties of single-crystalline La0.95Sr0.05MnO3 have been studied ultrasonically. Our investigations focussed on the temperature interval where magnetic ordering starts to evolve and results in a spin canted antiferromagnetic ground state. In detail the experiments revealed that the magnetic order parameter in low-doped manganite is only weakly coupled to lattice strains. Furthermore, the anomalous temperature dependence of the order parameter as found resembles highly that in stoichiometric LaMnO3. However, the main and most surprising finding is that external magnetic fields favor the spin canted phase in La0.95Sr0.05MnO3. It is unclear at present how the exchange interaction can be tuned by magnetic fields in the way observed and we are not aware of existing theoretical concepts which might give a plausible explanation for the unexpected field dependent behavior of the critical temperature. We believe, however, that this behavior primarily results from the fact that the exchange interaction depends sensitively on the orbital configuration of the manganese d electrons. The temperature dependences of the parameters of ultrasonic waves propagating in a La0.825Sr0.175MnO3 single crystal at a frequency of 770 MHz are investigated experimentally in the temperature range T = 285–330 K. It is found that the ultrasonic waves propagating in the sample in opposite directions have different velocities (the nonreciprocity effect). It is assumed that the acoustic nonreciprocity observed at these temperatures is most likely associated with the existence of structural and magnetic multiphase states, as well as with the formation of structural microinhomogeneities.  相似文献

La0.7Sr0.3Mn0.9Cu0.1O3 ceramic samples have been obtained by the conventional method of the solid-phase reaction, and their resistivity ρ has been investigated in a temperature range from 50 to 300 K in magnetic fields B = 0–20 T. Dependences are typical of perovskite manganites with a maximum at T max = 140–150 K and an increase in ρ near T max with increasing external magnetic field B. It has been established that the behavior of resistivity is caused by the variable range hopping conduction mechanism ρ(T) = ρ0(T)exp[(T 0/T)1/4], where ρ0(T) ~ T 25/4. The Mott variable range hopping conduction has been observed below the Curie temperature for La0.7Sr0.3Mn0.9Cu0.1O3 samples (T C ~ 300 K) in a temperature range from 300 to 200 K. The influence of Cu doping on the properties of La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 samples is apparently caused by an additional distortion introduced into the crystal lattice of the material and by a weakening of the double-exchange mechanism.  相似文献

Defects in a ferromagnetic crystal of manganite La0.85Sr0.15MnO3 were created by irradiation with fast neutrons (E > 0.1 MeV). Fast neutrons produce defect clusters in a crystal lattice. The volume fraction of the clusters in the crystal after irradiation to a dose F = 2 × 1019 cm?2 (T irr = 340 K) was ?40%. The structural and magnetic states of the modified manganite were studied using thermal-neutron diffraction and magnetic measurements. It was revealed that neutron irradiation of a crystal suppresses the cooperative Jahn-Teller effect and the initial charge modes and decreases the temperature of ferromagnetic ordering. Under irradiation with fast neutrons, the crystalline structure of the manganite changes from the orthorhombic O′ to the pseudocubic O* phase. Arguments are advanced in favor of the specific features of the irradiated-manganite structural state being determined by long-wavelength strains induced in the crystal by antisite defects.  相似文献

Temperature dependences of the velocity of longitudinal sound V 1 and the internal friction Q ?1 are studied for a La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 single crystal in the temperature range 5–350 K. The latter includes the temperature of the structural phase transition T s ≈95 K (from the Pnma orthorhombic low-temperature phase to the $R\bar 3c$ rhombohedral high-temperature one) and the Curie point T c =308 K. Near the temperatures T s and T c , the curves V 1(T) and Q ?1(T) exhibit pronounced singularities. Outside the vicinities of T s and T c , the velocity of sound monotonically decreases with increasing temperature. A thermal hysteresis of giant width is observed in the aforementioned dependences. The hysteresis is attributed to the following mechanism: when the crystal under study is heated starting at temperatures T<T s , some regions occupied by the Pnma low-temperature phase are retained in the $R\bar 3c$ matrix up to the temperature T=350 K.  相似文献
