Formation and properties of nickel doped TiO2 films prepared by sol-gel method were studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray analysis. The results demonstrate that sizes of TiO2 crystallites increase with increasing heating temperature. Also, at temperatures above 800 ° C diffusion of nickel onto the surfaces results in increased concentrations of nickel compounds on the surfaces. Similar to pure TiO2 films the light-induced modification of hydrophilicity is observed also in the case of nickel doped TiO2 films. 相似文献

Porous TiO2 films were deposited on SiO2 pre-coated glass-slides by sol-gel method using octadecylamine (ODA) as template. The amount of ODA in the sol played an important role on the physicochemical properties and photocatalytic performance of the TiO2 films. The films prepared at different conditions were all composed of anatase titanium dioxide crystals, and TiO2 crystalline size got larger with increasing ODA amount. The maximum specific surface area of 41.5 m2/g was obtained for TiO2 powders prepared from titanium sol containing 2.0 g ODA. Methyl orange degradation rate was enhanced along with increasing ODA amount and reached the maximal value at 2.0 g addition of ODA. After 40 min of UV-light irradiation, methyl orange degradation rate reached 30.5% on the porous film, which was about 10% higher than that on the smooth film. Porous TiO2 film showed almost constant activity with slight decrease from 30.5% to 28.5% after 4 times of recycles. 相似文献

Nb-doped TiO2 (TNO) thin films were prepared by sol-gel dip-coating method with Nb content in a wide range of 0-20 at.%. The prepared films were preheated at 400 °C and then undertaken by two different post-annealing processes: (a) three times vacuum annealing and (b) multi-round annealing. The designed multi-round annealing was shown to be an effective way to improve the conductive properties of the films, compared to the traditional vacuum annealing process. The minimum resistivity reached approximately 0.5 Ω cm with Nb doping concentration around 12 at.%, and the carrier density increased with Nb-doping concentration until the critical point of 12 at.%, which might be the optimal doping content for our TNO films prepared by sol-gel method. 相似文献

The Cu-doped ZnO and pure ZnO powders were synthesized by sol-gel method. The structural properties of the samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. All the results confirmed that copper ions were well incorporated into the ZnO lattices by substituting Zn sites without changing the wurtzite structure and no secondary phase existed in Cu-doped ZnO nanoparticles. The Zn0.97Cu0.03O nanoparticles exhibited ferromagnetism at room temperature, as established by the vibrating sample magnetometer analysis. 相似文献

This work presents the annealing temperature effect on the properties of mercury (Hg)-doped titanium dioxide (TiO2). Thin films and polycrystalline powders have been prepared by sol-gel process. The structure, surface morphology and optical properties, as a function of the annealing temperature, have been studied by atomic force microscopy (AFM), Raman, reflectance and ellipsometric spectroscopies. In order to determine the transformation points, we have analyzed the xerogel-obtained powder by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Raman spectroscopy shows the crystalline anatase and rutile phases for the films annealed at 400 °C and 1000 °C respectively. The AFM surface morphology results indicate that the particle size increases from 14 to 57 nm by increasing the annealing temperature. The complex index and the optical band gap (Eg) of the films were determined by the spectroscopic ellipsometry analysis. We have found that the optical band gap decreases by increasing the annealing temperature. 相似文献

Nanostructured titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films have been prepared on metal substrates using a facile layer-by-layer dip-coating method. The phase structure and morphologies of preparing samples were characterized by means of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The results confirm that films are highly crystalline anatase TiO2 and free from other phases of titanium dioxide. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows that the nanoparticles are sintered together to form a compact structure. The electrical properties of samples were investigated by cutternt-voltage analysis, the result indicates that a rectifying junction between the nanocrystalline TiO2 film and metal substrate was formed. The photoelectrochemical characteristics recorded under 1.5 AM illumination indicates that the as-fabricated thin film electrode possesses the highest photocurrent density at 450 °C, which is 1.75 mA/cm2 at 0 V vs. Ag/AgCl. 相似文献

The continuous TiO2 fibers were prepared by sol-gel method using the tetrabutyl orthotitanate as the precursor. The sol-formation process is studied by FT-IR spectroscopy. The synthesized continuous TiO2 fibers were characterized using SEM, HRTEM and XRD. Results demonstrate that the titanate sol has good spinnability when R ≤ 2 (R = H2O:Ti(OC4H9)4, molar ratio). The fibers have the length of several meters and the diameter of about 30 μm. The fibers are a radial close-packed product of nano-particles with high crystallinity. The continuous TiO2 fibers are co-crystal including anatase phase and rutile phase. The formaldehyde degradation ratio of continuous TiO2 fiber was 98.6%. 相似文献

Titanium dioxide thin films have been prepared from tetrabutyl-orthotitanate solution and methanol as a solvent by sol-gel dip coating technique. TiO2 thin films prepared using a sol-gel process have been analyzed for different annealing temperatures. Structural properties in terms of crystal structure were investigated by Raman spectroscopy. The surface morphology and composition of the films were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The optical transmittance and reflectance spectra of TiO2 thin films deposited on silicon substrate were also determined. Spectroscopic ellipsometry study was used to determine the annealing temperature effect on the optical properties and the optical gap of the TiO2 thin films. The results show that the TiO2 thin films crystallize in anatase phase between 400 and 800 °C, and into the anatase-rutile phase at 1000 °C, and further into the rutile phase at 1200 °C. We have found that the films consist of titanium dioxide nano-crystals. The AFM surface morphology results indicate that the particle size increases from 5 to 41 nm by increasing the annealing temperature. The TiO2 thin films have high transparency in the visible range. For annealing temperatures between 1000 and 1400 °C, the transmittance of the films was reduced significantly in the wavelength range of 300-800 nm due to the change of crystallite phase and composition in the films. We have demonstrated as well the decrease of the optical band gap with the increase of the annealing temperature. 相似文献

Titanium dioxide nanoparticles in distilled H2O solvent were prepared by laser ablation. The experiments were performed irradiating a Ti target with a second harmonic (532 nm) output of a Nd:YAG laser varying the operative fluence between 1 and 10 J cm−2 and for an ablation time ranging from 10 to 30 min. Electron microscopy measurements have evidenced the predominant presence of nanoparticles with diameter smaller than 10 nm together with agglomerations of 100-200 nm whose content increases with the laser fluence. At low laser fluence the particles’ size distribution shows that more than 85% of the nanoparticles have a size smaller than 5 nm while at mid and high fluences the presence of 5-7 nm nanoparticles is predominant. XPS analysis has revealed the presence of different titanium suboxide phases with the prevalence of Ti-O bonds from TiO2 species. The optical bandgap values, determined by UV-vis absorption measurements, are compatible with the anatase phase. 相似文献

Sunlight photocatalytic activity of CdS modified TiO2 loaded on activated carbon fibers 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
To improve the photocatalytic application performances of TiO2, in this work, firstly CdS modified Degussa P25 TiO2 (CdS/TiO2) composites were prepared by two methods, sol-gel method and precipitation method. Next they, sol-gel-CdS/TiO2 (sg-CdS/TiO2) and precipitation-CdS/TiO2 (pp-CdS/TiO2), were loaded on activated carbon fibers (ACFs) by dip-coating method using the sodium carboxymethyl cellulose as adhesives. The composites were characterized by XRD, UV-vis absorbance spectra, SEM, EDS and BET. The photocatalytic activities under sunlight were investigated by the degradation of methylene blue. The results showed that CdS/TiO2 composites were mainly composed of anatase-TiO2 and little CdS cubic phases. The absorption wavelengths of sg-CdS/TiO2 and pp-CdS/TiO2 composites were extended to 590 nm and 740 nm, respectively. The absorption edge had a pronounced ‘red shift’. From EDS analysis, the elemental contents of CdS/TiO2 were mainly Ti and O and a small quantity of S and Cd. CdS/TiO2 loaded on ACFs were in the form of small clusters, but not very uniform; compared with the original ACFs, the surface area and pore volume of CdS/TiO2/ACFs decreased slightly, respectively, while the average pore diameter was not changed. The photodegradation rate of methylene blue under sunlight with CdS/TiO2/ACFs composites was markedly higher than that of P25-TiO2/ACFs, and the effect of pp-CdS/TiO2/ACFs composites was better than that of sg-CdS/TiO2/ACFs, when irradiated for 180 min, and the photodegradation rate of methylene blue reached to 90.1%. The photodegradation kinetics of the methylene blue fitted with the Langmuir-Hinshelwood equation. The apparent reaction rate constants of sg-CdS/TiO2/ACFs and pp-CdS/TiO2 were 0.0105 min−1 and 0.0146 min−1, respectively, which were about 1.3-1.7 times as large as that of P25-TiO2/ACFs. 相似文献

TiO2 photocatalysts deposited on activated carbon (TiO2/AC) were prepared by dip-hydrothermal method at 180 °C using peroxotitanate as a precursor, then calcinated at 300-800 °C. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy and the nitrogen absorption. Their photocatalytic activity was evaluated by degradation of methyl orange (MO). The results showed that TiO2 particles of anatase type were well deposited on the activated carbon surface. TiO2/AC calcinated at 600 °C exhibited the best photocatalytic performance. For the comparison, the same photocatalysis experiment was carried out for two mixtures of commercial TiO2 (Degussa P25) with AC and synthetic TiO2 with AC. It was found that the composite catalyst TiO2/AC was better than the two mixtures. Besides, different from fine powdered TiO2, the granular TiO2/AC photocatalysts could be easily separated from the bulk solution and reused; indeed, its photocatalytic ability was hardly decreased after a five-cycle for MO degradation. The kinetics of the MO degradation fitted well the Langmuir-Hinshelwood model. 相似文献

Structure and photoluminescence properties of Er3+-doped TiO2-SiO2 powders prepared by sol-gel method 下载免费PDF全文
Er 3+-doped TiO 2-SiO 2 powders are prepared by the sol-gel method, and they are characterized by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM),X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectra, and Raman spectra of the samples. It is shown that the TiO 2 nanocrystals are surrounded by an SiO 2 glass matrix. The photoluminescence (PL) spectra are recorded at room temperature.A strong green luminescence and less intense red emission are observed in the samples when they are excited at 325 nm.The intensity of the emission, which is related to the defect states,is strongest at the annealing temperature of 800 C.The PL intensity of Er 3+ ions increases with increasing Ti/Si ratio due to energy transfer between nano-TiO 2 particles and Er 3+ ions. 相似文献

In this study, new nanoscale photocatalyst based on silver and CNTs/TiO2 was successfully prepared by photoreduction method. The prepared Ag-CNTs/TiO2 was characterized by TEM, XRD and XPS. The photocatalytic activity was also evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of Reactive Brilliant Red X-3B dye. The results indicated that the photocatalytic efficiency of CNTs/TiO2 increased in the presence of Ag nanoparticles and the photocatalysis reaction followed a first order kinetics. The kinetic constant of Ag-CNTs/TiO2 for dye degradation was nearly 1.2 times than that of CNTs/TiO2, which indicated decorating Ag nanoparticles on CNTs/TiO2 could enhance the photocatalytic ability. 相似文献

In this paper we report on the effect of annealing on the microsctructural and optoelectronic properties of titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films prepared using sol-gel method onto silicon (Si) (100) and quartz substrates. The annealing temperatures range from 200 to 1000 °C. The Microstructural properties of annealed thin films were investigated by Thermal gravimetric analyses (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman Spectroscopy. The surface morphology of the film was examined using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) method. The optical properties of TiO2 thin films were characterized using UV-VIS and Spectroscopic ellipsometry. The results have shown that the TiO2 thin films persist in the anatase phase even after annealing at 800 °C. The phase transformation from anatase to rutile occurred only when the films were annealed at 1000 °C. AFM studies revealed nanocrystalline structure where their shape and density depend strongly on the annealing temperatures. The elaborated nanostructured-TiO2 thin films present a high transparency in the visible range. Spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE) study was used to determine the effect of annealing temperature on the thickness and on the optical constant of TiO2 thin films. Spectroscopic ellipsometry and UV-VIS shows that the band gap of TiO2 thin films was found to decrease when the annealing temperature increases. The Anatase phase was find to show higher photocatalytic activity than the rutile one. 相似文献

TiO2-carbon surface (TCS) composites were prepared by pretreatment of a sealing substrate in supercritical carbon dioxide using paraffin as a plugging agent, and sol-gel processing using tetrabutyl orthotitanate as a precursor. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS), optical absorption spectroscopy and nitrogen absorption. The photoactivity of TCS was checked by monitoring the decomposition of methylene blue (MB) in aqueous solution under UV irradiation. The results indicated that compared with TC prepared only by the sol-gel method, the small nanosize TiO2 particles are well dispersed on carbon surface with large amount of micropores and high Eg values, meanwhile TCS have high Ti3+ concentration due to supercritical pretreatment providing a amount of carbon on the composite surface with interfacial energy effects, which controls the growth of TiO2 nanoparticles, baffles the agglomeration of TiO2 nanoparticles and easily produces Ti3+ ions. These are reasons why TCS has a higher efficiency of decomposing MB than TiO2-carbon (TC) composites and pure TiO2. Additional, it is also attributed to the fact that TCS produce a high concentration of organic compounds near TiO2 in comparison with TC and pure TiO2, because their surface area are greater than that of TC and pure TiO2. 相似文献

The vapor-phase condensation of acetone was studied over sol-gel prepared TiO2 and TiO2-doped with 1 wt.% of Li+ or Rb+. The acetone condensation was catalyzed by basic sites and the obtained products were mesityl oxide (MO), isomesityl oxide (ISMO), mesitylene (M) as well as isophorone (IP) and phorone (P). The TiO2 crystalline structure was characterized by XRD and the basicity of catalysts by means of CO2 chemisorption. The number of basic sites was 0.057 mmol CO2/g for TiO2 and Rb/TiO2 and 0.676 mmol CO2/g for Li/TiO2 catalyst. CO2-TPD showed that the strongest of the basic sites follows the order Rb/TiO2 > TiO2 > Li/TiO2. Activity was found of the same order in the three catalysts. Selectivity patterns shown that MO (70%) was the main product in Li/TiO2 while for TiO2 and Rb/TiO2 comparable amounts of MO (41 and 44%) and M (39 and 39%) were obtained. 相似文献

Anatase TiO2 nanowires with a diameter of 5-10 nm and length of 500 nm to 2 μm have been successfully synthesized by modifying TiO2 nanoparticles (P25) using the microwave heating method. The microwave power, reaction pressure, and reaction time for the synthesis of TiO2 nanowires were 500 W, 0.5-3.0 MPa (corresponding to a temperature range of 175-260), and 40-70 min, respectively. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), and the BET techniques were used to investigate the phase structures, morphologies, and specific surface areas of the TiO2 nanowires. The effects of reaction time, pressure, and different post-treatment processes on the microstructures of TiO2 nanowires were discussed. It has been shown that the microwave heating method is efficient in transforming TiO2 nanoparticles to anatase TiO2 nanowires. 相似文献

It was observed that the nanocrystallites of BaFe12O19 formed at 140°C under a 0.25 T magnetic field exhibited a higher saturation magnetization (6.1 emu/g at room temperature) than that of the sample (1.1 emu/g) obtained under zero magnetic field. Both of the two approaches yielded plain-like particles with an average particle size of 12 nm. However, the Curie temperature (Tc), a direct measuring of the strength of superexchange interaction of Fe3+–O2−–Fe3+, increased from 410°C for the nanoparticles prepared without an external field applied to 452°C for the particles formed under a 0.25 T magnetic field, which indicates that external magnetic fields can improve the occupancy of magnetic ions and then increase the superexchange interaction. This was confirmed by electron paramagnetic resonance and Mössbauer spectrum analysis. The results present in this paper suggest that in addition to oxygen defects, surface non-magnetic layer and a fraction of finer particles in the superparamagnetic range, cation vacancies should be responsible for the decreasing of saturation magnetization in magnetic nanoparticles. 相似文献

Nickel-doped anatase TiO2 nanoparticles have been prepared by sol-gel method. The X-ray powder diffraction study reveals that all the prepared samples have pure anatase phase tetragonal system. The average crystallite size of the prepared sample is 14 nm, when found through transmission electron microscope. A strong frequency dependence of both dielectric constant (?′) and dielectric loss (tan δ) were observed for various dopant levels at room temperature in the frequency range of 42 Hz to 5 MHz. At low frequency, the piling up of mobile charge carriers at the grain boundary produces interfacial polarization giving rise to high dielectric constant. The asymmetric shape of frequency dependence of the dielectric loss for the primary relaxation process is observed for each concentration. From the ac conductivity studies, the reduction in conductivity may arise due to the decreasing particle with the increase in Ni-dopant level. 相似文献

Plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition was used to conformally coat commercial TiO2 nanoparticles to create nanocomposite materials. Hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO)/O2 plasmas were used to deposit SiO2 or SiOxCyHz films, depending on the oxidant concentration; and hexylamine (HexAm) plasmas were used to deposit amorphous amine-containing polymeric films on the TiO2 nanoparticles. The composite materials were analyzed using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). These analyses reveal film composition on the nanoparticles was virtually identical to that deposited on flat substrates and that the films deposit a conformal coating on the nanoparticles. The performance of the nanocomposite materials was evaluated using UV-vis spectroscopy to determine the dispersion characteristics of both SiOx and HexAm coated TiO2 materials. Notably, the coated materials stay suspended longer in distilled water than the uncoated materials for all deposited films. 相似文献
