Within the period between the years 1988 and 1990, the spectrum of positrons from the inverse-beta-decay reaction on a proton was measured at the Rovno atomic power plant in the course of experiments conducted there. The measured spectrum has the vastest statistics in relation to other neutrino experiments at nuclear reactors and the lowest threshold for positron detection. An experimental reactor-antineutrino spectrum was obtained on the basis of this positron spectrum and was recommended as a reference spectrum. The spectra of individual fissile isotopes were singled out from the measured antineutrino spectrum. These spectra can be used to analyze neutrino experiments performed at nuclear reactors for various compositions of the fuel in the reactor core.  相似文献

Basic questions concerning phononless resonant capture of monoenergetic electron antineutrinos (Mössbauer antineutrinos) emitted in bound-state β-decay in the 3H-3He system are discussed. It is shown that lattice expansion and contraction after the transformation of the nucleus will drastically reduce the probability of phononless transitions and that various solid-state effects will cause large line broadening. As a possible alternative, the rare-earth system 163Ho-163Dy is favoured. Mössbauer-antineutrino experiments could be used to gain new and deep insights into several basic problems in neutrino physics.  相似文献

We examine the electromagnetic and hadronic contribution to antineutrino trimuon production. The μ+μ+μ? rate and distributions are in reasonable agreement with the experimental values quoted by the CDHS group for their eight events. We calculate the electromagnetic and hadronic contributions to neutrino production of μ?e+e? events and antineutrino production of μ+e+e? events. Due to an increase in cross section and acceptance, these rates are much larger in bubble-chamber experiments than the corresponding rates for trimuon events in counter experiments. Verification of these rates would confirm our understanding of the physics behind trilepton events. We stress the importance of measuring also a rate for μ?e? events to determine the cross section for the associated production of charmed particles.  相似文献

Cross sections are presented for antineutrino production of Λ, Σ0 and K0 in strangeness changing reactions. Associated production reactions (ΔS = 0) have been observed in the charged and the neutral current channels. Expressions are given for the cross sections of the processes vee v and vee v e ' e' from the viewpoint of the hypothesis of weak interactions via intermediary vector mesons taking separate account of the polarizations of the electron target and the muon (electron) emission. An analysis is given of the cross sections of processes which are admissible according to both the two- and four-component theories of the neutrino. We study neutrino-induced nucleon knockout from nuclei. Expressions for the induced polarization are derived within the framework of the independent-nucleon model and the nonrelativistic plane-wave approximation. Large dissimilarities in the nucleon polarization asymmetries are observed between neutrino- and antineutrino-induced processes. These asymmetries represent a potential way to distinguish between neutrinos and antineutrinos in neutral-current neutrino scattering on nuclei. We discuss astrophysical applications of these polarization asymmetries. Our findings are illustrated for neutrino scattering on 16O and 208P b.  相似文献

The properties of matter-induced neutrino decay with majoron emission are analysed in some details for the cases of Majorana, ZKM and Dirac neutrinos. The result of such a decay of solarv e 's in the sun interior could be the appearance of \(\bar \nu _e \) flux. Assuming that the neutrinos have only standard weak interactions, the solar \(\bar \nu _e \) flux can be at the border of detectability for the future large volume detectors like Borex or Super-Kamiokande. However, the \(\bar \nu _e \) signal can be considerably larger, provided the neutrinos have new non-standard interactions with matter.  相似文献

It is shown that existing data for production rates of opposite-sign dileptons by neutrinos and antineutrinos are mutually consistent when acceptance corrections are calculated using a standard four-quark parton model, and a flat fragmentation function for charmed quarks. We present results on charged current inclusive neutrino and antineutrino scattering in the neutrino energy range 30–200 GeV. The results include a) total cross-sections; b)y distributions; c) structure functions; and d) scaling violations observed in the structure functions. The diffractive production of charmed strangeD s * and possiblyD s mesons by neutrinos and antineutrinos on nucleons in hydrogen, deuterium and neon targets is observed. The slope parameter of thet distribution is 3.3±0.8 (GeV)?2. Neutrino scattering on electrons is considered as a tool for laboratory searches for the neutrino magnetic moment. Inelastic $\bar \nu _e e^ - $ scattering on electrons bound in the germanium (Z=32) and iodine (Z=53) atoms is studied for antineutrinos generated in a nuclear reactor core and in 90Sr-90Y and 147Pm artificial sources. On the basis of the relativistic Hartree-Fock-Dirac model, both the magnetic-and weak-scattering cross sections are calculated for the recoil electron energy range between 1 and 100 keV, where a higher sensitivity to the neutrino magnetic moment could be achieved. Particular attention is paid to an approximate procedure that allows us to take into account the effects of atomic binding on the inelastic-scattering spectra in a simple way.  相似文献

超临界水堆是国际第Ⅳ代核能系统论坛推荐的六种第Ⅳ代核电反应堆堆型之一,与现有的轻水堆相比,具有热效率高、系统结构简单、造价低等优点。建立了MCNP程序下的超临界水堆堆芯物理计算模型,解决了燃料组件几何结构过于复杂精细难以建模的技术难题;考虑了堆芯轴向冷却剂密度的不均匀分布,计算并分析各区域的中子能谱分布;对失水事故下的超临界水冷堆安全性进行了分析,研究了不同区域冷却剂丢失程度对反应性及有效增殖系数的影响,表明所设计堆型具有较高的安全性;分析处理失水事故的应对措施,验证了使用注入硼水措施处理超临界水冷堆失水事故的可行性。  相似文献

We report on results from a study of hadron-energy distributions for ν and ν inclusive neutral current interactions. There is no significant variation of the neutral to charged current total cross-section ratios Rν and Rν with neutrino energy. The space-time structure of neutral currents is dominated by V?A, with a significant admixture of V+A. The Weinberg-Salam model is in agreement with all data if sin2θw=0.24±0.02.  相似文献
