In this paper we study the Cauchy problem for cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with space- and time-dependent coefficients on ∝m and \(\mathbb{T}^m \). By an approximation argument we prove that for suitable initial values, the Cauchy problem admits unique local solutions. Global existence is discussed in the cases of m = 1, 2.  相似文献

In this paper we study the Cauchy problem for cubic nonlinear Schrodinger equation with space- and time-dependent coefficients on Rm and Tm. By an approximation argument we prove that for suitable initial values, the Cauchy problem admits unique local solutions. Global existence is discussed in the cases of m = 1,2.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem for a family of SchrSdinger equations with initial data in modulation spaces Mp,1^s. We develop the existence, uniqueness, blowup criterion, stability of regularity, scattering theory, and stability theory.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors discuss a priori estimates derived from the energy method to the initial value problem for the cubic nonlinear Schrödinger on the sphere S2. Exploring suitable a priori estimates, the authors prove the existence of solution for data whose regularity is s = 1/4.  相似文献

In this paper, we combine variational methods and harmonic analysis to discuss the Cauchy problem of a focusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation. We study the global well-posedness, finite time blowup and asymptotic behavior of this problem. By Hamiltonian property, we establish two types of invariant evolution flows. Then from one flow and the stability of classical energy-critical nonlinear Schrödinger equation, we find that the solution exists globally and scattering occurs. Finally, we get a precise blowup criterion of this problem for positive energy initial data via the other flow.  相似文献

Using variational methods, the solution of the inverse problem of finding the refractive index of a nonlinear medium in a multidimensional Schrödinger equation is studied. The correctness of the statement of the problem under consideration is investigated, and a necessary condition that must be satisfied by the solution of this problem is found. The local and global well-posedness for the Cauchy problem for a class of nonlinear Schrödinger equations is studied. The global well-posedness of the problem is proved in the Sobolev spaceH s=Hs(R n) of fractional orders>n/2 under the following assumptions. (1) Concerning the Cauchy data ?∈H s: ‖?;L 2‖ is relatively small with respect to ‖?;H σ‖ for any fixed σ withn/2<σ≤s. (2) Concerning the nonlinearityf: f(u) behaves as a conformal poweru 1+4/n near zero and has an arbitrary growth rate at infinity.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem for nonlinear Schrdinger equation iut + Δu = ±|u|pu,4/d< p <4 /d-2 in high dimensions d 6. We prove the stability of solutions in the critical space H˙xsp , where sp = d/2-p/2 .  相似文献

It is shown that in nonlinear differential–difference equations, which in the continuum limit are reduced to the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, localized excitations, reminding shock waves in liquids and gasses can propagate. Such waves may have either the conventional profile of shock waves or a shape of dark pulses evolving against a background. At the initial stages of evolution the shock waves are described by the equation ut+uux=0 and split out in a train of soliton-like pulses after the shock is developed.  相似文献

We prove the existence of global classical solutions of the Cauchy-problem for nonlinear Schrödinger equations u+iAu+f(|u|2)u or u+Au+if(|u|2)u respectively. We need various growth conditions on the nonlinearity f and some restrictions on the admissible space dimension n.  相似文献

We prove a Nekhoroshev type result [26,27] for the nonlinear Schr?dinger equation with vanishing or periodic boundary conditions on ; here is a parameter and is a function analytic in a neighborhood of the origin and such that , . More precisely, we consider the Cauchy problem for (0.1) with initial data which extend to analytic entire functions of finite order, and prove that all the actions of the linearized system are approximate constants of motion up to times growing faster than any negative power of the size of the initial datum. The proof is obtained by a method which applies to Hamiltonian perturbations of linear PDE's with the following properties: (i) the linear dynamics is periodic (ii) there exists a finite order Birkhoff normal form which is integrable and quasi convex as a function of the action variables. Eq. (0.1) satisfies (i) and (ii) when restricted to a level surface of , which is an integral of motion. The main technical tool used in the proof is a normal form lemma for systems with symmetry which is also proved here. Received June 23, 1997; in final form June 1, 1998  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain a new sufficient condition on the existence of breathers for the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equations by using critical point theory in combination with periodic approximations. The classical Ambrosetti–Rabinowitz superlinear condition is improved.  相似文献

We study, in the semiclassical limit, the singularly perturbed nonlinear Schrödinger equations
$$\begin{aligned} L^{\hbar }_{A,V} u = f(|u|^2)u \quad \hbox {in}\quad \mathbb {R}^N \end{aligned}$$
(0.1)
where \(N \ge 3\), \(L^{\hbar }_{A,V}\) is the Schrödinger operator with a magnetic field having source in a \(C^1\) vector potential A and a scalar continuous (electric) potential V defined by
$$\begin{aligned} L^{\hbar }_{A,V}= -\hbar ^2 \Delta -\frac{2\hbar }{i} A \cdot \nabla + |A|^2- \frac{\hbar }{i}\mathrm{div}A + V(x). \end{aligned}$$
(0.2)
Here, f is a nonlinear term which satisfies the so-called Berestycki-Lions conditions. We assume that there exists a bounded domain \(\Omega \subset \mathbb {R}^N\) such that
$$\begin{aligned} m_0 \equiv \inf _{x \in \Omega } V(x) < \inf _{x \in \partial \Omega } V(x) \end{aligned}$$
and we set \(K = \{ x \in \Omega \ | \ V(x) = m_0\}\). For \(\hbar >0\) small we prove the existence of at least \({\mathrm{cupl}}(K) + 1\) geometrically distinct, complex-valued solutions to (0.1) whose moduli concentrate around K as \(\hbar \rightarrow 0\).

In this paper, we study the existence of multibump solutions for discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equations with periodic potentials. We first reduce the existence of multibump homoclinic solutions to the existence of an isolated homoclinic solution with a nontrivial critical group. Then, we study the existence of homoclinics with nontrivial critical groups for both superlinear and asymptotically linear discrete periodic nonlinear Schrödinger equations, and we provide simple sufficient conditions for the existence of homoclinics with nontrivial critical groups in the positive definite case. As an application, we get, without any symmetry assumptions, infinitely many geometrically distinct homoclinic solutions with exponential decay at infinity.  相似文献
