We study the smoothness properties of solutions to the coupled system of equations of Korteweg—de Vries type. We show that the equations dispersive nature leads to a gain in regularity for the solution. In particular, if the initial data (u0, v0 possesses certain regularity and sufficient decay as x → ∞, then the solution (u(t). v(t)) will be smoother than (u0, v0) for 0 < tT where T is the existence time of the solution.  相似文献

The modeling and simulation of curing adhesives is of great importance for industrial applications, mainly for the automotive industry. The one-dimensional model proposed here combines known viscoelastic models for curing material with effects of plasticity. To describe these plasticity effects, a yield stress with isotropic hardening is formulated as an equation of temperature and degree of cure. The proposed model therefore includes viscoelastic properties, thermo-chemical shrinkage and the aforementioned plasticity characteristics, all as functions of temperature and degree of cure. This paper deals with the modelling of switching systems and focuses on the characterization of the local functioning modes using the online clustering approach. The system considered is represented as a weighted sum of local linear models where each model could have its own structure. This implies that the parameters and the order of the switching system could change when the system switches. Moreover, possible constants of the local models are also unknown. The method presented consists of two steps. First, an online estimation method of the Markov parameters matrix of the local linear models is established. Secondly, the labelling of these parameters is done using a dynamical decision space worked out with learning techniques; each local model being represented by a cluster. The paper ends with an example and a discussion with an aim of illustrating the method’s performance.  相似文献

In this paper we derive lower bounds and upper bounds on the effective properties for nonlinear heterogeneous systems. The key result to obtain these bounds is to derive a variational principle, which generalizes the variational principle by P. Ponte Castaneda from 1992. In general, when the Ponte Castaneda variational principle is used one only gets either a lower or an upper bound depending on the growth conditions. In this paper we overcome this problem by using our new variational principle together with the bounds presented by Lukkassen, Persson and Wall in 1995. Moreover, we also present some examples where the bounds are so tight that they may be used as a good estimate of the effective behavior.  相似文献

The adhesive ability of a heat-resistant polyiminoquinazolindione (PIQD) binder, based on a double-chain polymer, and the physicomechanical characteristics of unidirectional CFRPs made with it are investigated. It is shown that, at room temperature, the strength of model adhesive joints (PIQD-steel wire) and of the CFRPs in shear and bending is rather low — about half of that of similar specimens based on an epoxy binder. At the same time, all their mechanical characteristics, to a large measure (50%), are retained at temperatures up to 450°C, which considerably exceeds the heat resistance of all polymer matrices used at the present time. In this work, an elastoplastic material model coupled to nonlocal damage is discussed which is based on an implicit gradient-enhanced approach. Combined nonlinear isotropic and kinematic hardening as well as continuum damage of Lemaitre-type are considered. The model is a direct nonlocal extension of a corresponding local model which was presented earlier (see e. g. [1], [2], [3]). Conclusions drawn from a numerical benchmark test performed in this study demonstrate that the nonlocal damage model is suitable to provide mesh-independent solutions in finite element simulations. The performance of kernel-based method, such as support vector machine (SVM), is greatly affected by the choice of kernel function. Multiple kernel learning (MKL) is a promising family of machine learning algorithms and has attracted many attentions in recent years. MKL combines multiple sub-kernels to seek better results compared to single kernel learning. In order to improve the efficiency of SVM and MKL, in this paper, the Kullback–Leibler kernel function is derived to develop SVM. The proposed method employs an improved ensemble learning framework, named KLMKB, which applies Adaboost to learning multiple kernel-based classifier. In the experiment for hyperspectral remote sensing image classification, we employ feature selected through Optional Index Factor (OIF) to classify the satellite image. We extensively examine the performance of our approach in comparison to some relevant and state-of-the-art algorithms on a number of benchmark classification data sets and hyperspectral remote sensing image data set. Experimental results show that our method has a stable behavior and a noticeable accuracy for different data set.  相似文献

In recent years, sustainable development and social responsibility have become important issues around the globe. Investors are interested in the so-called ‘socially responsible investment’ (SRI), an investment strategy that employs criteria other than financial risk and return when selecting firms in which to invest. The practice of SRI shows that there are growing numbers of investors who want to take account of more criteria. Given this worldwide trend, the question arises how these issues can be incorporated into the investment decision process. This paper proposes a novel integrated model for selecting SRI stocks and illustrates the practical application of such a model through a case study. This model first applied the decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) approach to deal with the interdependencies existing among the criteria of organization requires, and then integrated the DEMATEL, the analytic network process, and the zero-one goal programming method to select an optimal portfolio of SRI. Additionally, we used the sustainability balanced scorecard as a multi-criteria framework for SRI evaluation. This integrated model enables the management to obtain the fitting SRI portfolio and achieves the desired spiritual value.  相似文献

This paper presents a general-purpose software framework dedicated to the design and the implementation of evolutionary multiobjective optimization techniques: ParadisEO-MOEO. A concise overview of evolutionary algorithms for multiobjective optimization is given. A substantial number of methods has been proposed so far, and an attempt of conceptually unifying existing approaches is presented here. Based on a fine-grained decomposition and following the main issues of fitness assignment, diversity preservation and elitism, a conceptual model is proposed and is validated by regarding a number of state-of-the-art algorithms as simple variants of the same structure. This model is then incorporated into the ParadisEO-MOEO software framework. This framework has proven its validity and high flexibility by enabling the resolution of many academic, real-world and hard multiobjective optimization problems.  相似文献

Based on the Rollins-Hunt's model, chaotic phenomena in a driven coupled R-L-diode oscillator are examined numerically. It is found that a straightforward extension of this model to a system with two degrees of freedom is valid as far as the quasiperiodic route to chaos is concerned. However, this model is not sufficient to explain the intermittency and the quasiperiodic routes including the discontinuous (jump) bifurcations with hysteresis. Then it is shown that the additional nonlinearity due to variable capacitance of the diode is effective to explain the above phenomena. It is also shown that a two-dimensional discrete return map in which nonlinear terms are introduced in a characteristic form simulates systematically the numerical results. In particular, this map model can explain effectively the mechanisms which cause the intermittency and the cliscontinuous bifurcation.  相似文献

Based on a 7-parameter shell model, a numerical algorithm has been developed for solving a coupled problem of thermoelectroelasticity for a laminated piezoelectric shell subjected to a thermoelectromechanical loading. As unknowns, six tangential and transverse displacements of outer surfaces and the transverse displacement of shell midsurface are chosen. This choice provides a possibility of utilizing the complete 3D constitutive equations of thermopiezoelectricity. A geometrically exact 3D hybrid piezoelectric shell element is formulated by using nonconventional analytical integration. With the help of this finite element, solutions of coupled problems of thermoelectroelasticity for laminated plates and shells with segmented and distributed piezoelectric sensors and actuators are obtained.  相似文献

We establish soliton-like asymptotics for finite energy solutions to the Dirac equation coupled to a relativistic particle. Any solution with initial state close to the solitary manifold, converges in long time limit to a sum of traveling wave and outgoing free wave. The convergence holds in global energy norm. The proof uses spectral theory and symplectic projection onto solitary manifold in the Hilbert phase space.  相似文献

This paper proposes a computational game-theoretic model for the international negotiations that should take place at the end of the period covered by the Kyoto protocol. These negotiations could lead to a self-enforcing agreement on a burden sharing scheme given the necessary global emissions limit that will be imposed when the real extent of climate change is known. The model assumes a non-cooperative behavior of the parties except for the fact that they will be collectively committed to reach a target on total cumulative emissions by the year 2050. The concept of normalized equilibrium, introduced by J.B. Rosen for concave games with coupled constraints, is used to characterize a family of dynamic equilibrium solutions in an m-player game where the agents are (groups of) countries and the payoffs are the welfare gains obtained from a Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model. The model deals with the uncertainty about climate sensitivity by computing an S-adapted equilibrium. These equilibria are computed using an oracle-based method permitting an implicit definition of the payoffs to the different players, obtained through simulations performed with the global CGE model GEMINI-E3. In a reaction-diffusion model, the problem of determination of the reaction term is of immense importance. Sometimes the form of the reaction is assumed with certain unknown parameters which are later determined from experimental data. The aim of the present study is to propose an iterative method of determination of the reaction term in a general form without involving parameters and analyze the basic problem of convergence of the iterative process. The equations considered are coupled one dimensional react ion-diffusion system with nonlinear interactive terms along with initial conditions and boundarydata. In this paper, we introduce a general and modular framework for formalizing reasoning with incomplete and inconsistent information. Our framework is composed of non-deterministic semantic structures and distance-based considerations. This combination leads to a variety of entailment relations that can be used for reasoning about non-deterministic phenomena and are inconsistency-tolerant. We investigate the basic properties of these entailments, as well as some of their computational aspects, and demonstrate their usefulness in the context of model-based diagnostic systems.  相似文献
