Several characterizations of MT-functions are first given in this paper. Applying the characterizations of MT-functions, we establish some existence theorems for coincidence point and fixed point in complete metric spaces. From these results, we can obtain new generalizations of Berinde-Berinde?s fixed point theorem and Mizoguchi-Takahashi?s fixed point theorem for nonlinear multivalued contractive maps. Our results generalize and improve some main results in the literature.  相似文献

We prove a common fixed point theorem of Gregus type for four mappings satisfying a generalized contractive condition in metric spaces using the concept of weak compatibility which generalizes theorems of [I. Appl. 53 (2007) 961-971] and common fixed point theorems of Gregus type using a strict generalized contractive condition, a property (E.A) and a common property (E.A).  相似文献

We establish two fixed point theorems for certain mappings of contractive type. The first result is concerned with the case where such mappings take a nonempty, closed subset of a complete metric space X into X, and the second with an application of the continuation method to the case where they satisfy the Leray–Schauder boundary condition in Banach spaces.  相似文献

Towards Lim
The paper contains an elegant extension of the Nadler fixed point theorem for multivalued contractions (see Theorem 21). It is based on a new idea of the α-step mappings (see Definition 17) being more efficient than α-contractions. In the present paper this theorem is a tool in proving some fixed point theorems for “nonexpansive” mappings in the bead spaces (metric spaces that, roughly speaking, are modelled after convex sets in uniformly convex spaces). More precisely the mappings are nonexpansive on a set with respect to only one point - the centre of this set (see condition (4)). The results are pretty general. At first we assume that the value of the mapping under consideration at this central point looks “sharp” (see Definition 6). This idea leads to a group of theorems (based on Theorem 7). Their proofs are compact and the theorems, in particular, are natural extensions of the classical results for (usual) nonexpansive mappings. In the second part we apply the idea of Lim to investigate the regular sequences and here the proofs are based on our extension of Nadler's Theorem. In consequence we obtain some fixed point theorems that generalise the classical Lim Theorem for multivalued nonexpansive mappings (see e.g. Theorem 26).  相似文献

We introduce some notions of generalized nonlinear contractive maps and prove some fixed point results for such maps. Consequently, several known fixed point results are either improved or generalized including the corresponding recent fixed point results of Ciric [L.B. Ciric, Multivalued nonlinear contraction mappings, Nonlinear Anal. 71 (2009) 2716-2723], Klim and Wardowski [D. Klim, D. Wardowski, Fixed point theorems for set-valued contractions in complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 334 (2007) 132-139], Feng and Liu [Y. Feng, S. Liu, Fixed point theorems for multivalued contractive mappings and multivalued Caristi type mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 317 (2006) 103-112] and Mizoguchi and Takahashi [N. Mizoguchi, W. Takahashi, Fixed point theorems for multivalued mappings on complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 141 (1989) 177-188].  相似文献

A common fixed point theorem for weakly commuting quasi contractive self mappings with contracting orbital diameters in metric spaces [V. Berinde, A common fixed point theorem for quasi contractive type mappings, Ann. Univ. Sci. Budapest. 46 (2003) 81-90] is extended to the more general class of compatible quasi contractive self mappings. Our result does extend and generalize numerous related results in literature.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is the study of the generalization of some results given in [M. Berinde, V. Berinde, On a general class of multi-valued weakly Picard mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 326 (2007) 772-782] and references therein. Some generalizations of the Mizoguchi-Takahashi fixed point theorem, Kannan’s fixed point theorems and Chatterjea’s fixed point theorems are established by using our new fixed point theorems.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain some common fixed point theorems for occasionally weakly compatible mappings on a set X together with the function d:X×X→[0,) without using the triangle inequality and assuming symmetry only on the set of points of coincidence.  相似文献

S. Hu and Y. Sun [S. Hu, Y. Sun, Fixed point index for weakly inward mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 172 (1993) 266-273] defined the fixed point index for weakly inward mappings, investigated its properties and studied the fixed points for such mappings. In this paper, following S. Hu and Y. Sun, we continue to investigate boundary conditions, under which the fixed point index for the completely continuous and weakly inward mapping, denoted by i(A,Ω,P), is equal to 1 or 0. Correspondingly, we can obtain some new fixed point theorems of the completely continuous and weakly inward mappings and existence theorems of solutions for the equations Ax=μx, which extend many famous theorems such as Leray-Schauder's theorem, Rothe's two theorems, Krasnoselskii's theorem, Altman's theorem, Petryshyn's theorem, etc., to the case of weakly inward mappings. In addition, our conclusions and methods are different from the ones in many recent works.  相似文献

The main purpose of this paper is to prove a collection of new fixed point theorems for so-called weakly F-contractive mappings. By analogy, we introduce also a class of strongly F-expansive mappings and we prove fixed point theorems for such mappings. We provide a few examples, which illustrate these results and, as an application, we prove an existence and uniqueness theorem for the generalized Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. Finally, in Appendix A, we apply the Mönch fixed point theorem to prove two results on the existence of approximate fixed points of some continuous mappings.  相似文献

A note on cone metric fixed point theory and its equivalence   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The main aim of this paper is to investigate the equivalence of vectorial versions of fixed point theorems in generalized cone metric spaces and scalar versions of fixed point theorems in (general) metric spaces (in usual sense). We show that the Banach contraction principles in general metric spaces and in TVS-cone metric spaces are equivalent. Our theorems also extend some results in Huang and Zhang (2007) [L.-G. Huang, X. Zhang, Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332 (2007) 1468-1476], Rezapour and Hamlbarani (2008) [Sh. Rezapour, R. Hamlbarani, Some notes on the paper Cone metric spaces and fixed point theorems of contractive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 345 (2008) 719-724] and others.  相似文献

We revisit a fixed point theorem for contractions established by Felix Browder in 1968. We show that many definitions of contractive mappings which appeared in the literature after 1968 turn out to be equivalent formulations or even particular cases of Browder’s definition. We also discuss the problem of the existence of approximate fixed points of continuous mappings; in particular, we settle it in the affirmative for Browder contractions. Finally, we recall three problems concerning Browder contractions which remain unsolved. With great respect for Professor Felix E. Browder  相似文献

In this paper, we prove some coupled coincidence point theorems for such nonlinear contraction mappings having a mixed monotone property in partially ordered metric spaces by dropping the condition of commutative. We also prove coupled common fixed point theorem for w-compatible mappings. An example of a nonlinear contraction mapping which is not applied by Lakshmikantham and ?iri?’s theorem [1] but applied by our result is given. Further, we apply our results to the existence theorem for solution of nonlinear integral equations.  相似文献

We present a generalization of Mizoguchi and Takahashi’s fixed point theorem for single-valued mappings in partially ordered metric spaces. As an application of the main result, we give an existence and uniqueness theorem for the solution of a periodic boundary value problem.  相似文献

Two fixed point theorems for uniformly lipschitzian mappings in metric spaces, due respectively to E. Lifšic and to T.-C. Lim and H.-K. Xu, are compared within the framework of the so-called CAT(0) spaces. It is shown that both results apply in this setting, and that Lifšic’s theorem gives a sharper result. Also, a new property is introduced that yields a fixed point theorem for uniformly lipschitzian mappings in a class of hyperconvex spaces, a class which includes those possessing property (P)(P) of Lim and Xu.  相似文献

In this paper, a concept of monotone generalized contraction in partially ordered probabilistic metric spaces is introduced and some fixed and common fixed point theorems are proved. Presented theorems extend the results in partially ordered metric spaces of Nieto and Rodriguez-Lopez [Contractive mapping theorems in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Order 22 (2005) 223-239; Existence and uniqueness of fixed point in partially ordered sets and applications to ordinary differential equations, Acta Math. Sin. (Engl. Ser.) 23 (2007) 2205-2212], Ran and Reurings [A fixed point theorem in partially ordered sets and some applications to matrix equations, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 132 (2004) 1435-1443] to a more general class of contractive type mappings in partially ordered probabilistic metric spaces and include several recent developments.  相似文献

Common fixed point results for families of single-valued nonexpansive or quasi-nonexpansive mappings and multivalued upper semicontinuous, almost lower semicontinuous or nonexpansive mappings are proved either in CAT(0) spaces or R-trees. It is also shown that the fixed point set of quasi-nonexpansive self-mapping of a nonempty closed convex subset of a CAT(0) space is always nonempty closed and convex.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove some fixed point theorems for generalized contractions in the setting of G-metric spaces. Our results extend a result of Edelstein [M. Edelstein, On fixed and periodic points under contractive mappings, J. London Math. Soc., 37 (1962), 74–79] and a result of Suzuki [T. Suzuki, A new type of fixed point theorem in metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal., 71 (2009), 5313–5317]. We prove, also, a fixed point theorem in the setting of G-cone metric spaces.  相似文献
