We study optimal W2,p-regularity for fourth-order parabolic equations with discontinuous coefficients in general domains. We obtain the global W2,p-regularity for each 1<p<∞ under the assumption that the coefficients have suitably small BMO semi-norm of weak type and the boundary of the domain is δ-Reifenberg flat. The situation of our main theorem arises when the conductivity on fractals is controlled by a random variable in the time direction.  相似文献

The purpose of this work is to solve exterior problems in the half-space for the Laplace operator. We give existence and unicity results in weighted Lp's theory with 1<p<∞. This paper extends the studies done in [C. Amrouche, V. Girault, J. Giroire, Dirichlet and Neumann exterior problems for the n-dimensional Laplace operator, an approach in weighted Sobolev spaces, J. Math. Pures Appl. 76 (1) (1997) 55-81] with Dirichlet and Neumann conditions.  相似文献

In recent years, there has been considerable interest in extending the well-known Calderon-Zygmund estimates for the Laplacian to more general equations, in particular equations with highest order coefficients lying in the Sarason space VMO. In addition, the analogous estimates with Morrey spaces replacing Lebesgue spaces have been considered. These Morrey space estimates have been proved by refining the proofs for the Lp estimates. We shall show that the Morrey space estimates follow from the Lp estimates via an elementary argument which is very similar to that used by Campanato.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with certain natural Sobolev-type estimates for weak solutions of inhomogeneous problems for second-order parabolic equations in divergence form. The geometric setting is that of time-independent cylinders having a space intersection assumed to be locally given by graphs with small Lipschitz coefficients, the constants of the operator being uniformly parabolic. We prove the relevant Lp estimates, assuming that the coefficients are in parabolic bounded mean oscillation (BMO) and that their parabolic BMO semi-norms are small enough.  相似文献

We prove W1,p estimates for elliptic equations in divergence form under the assumption that for each point and for each sufficiently small scale there is a coordinate system so that the coefficients have small oscillation in (n−1) directions. In this paper we obtain a new global gradient estimates in weighted Lorentz spaces for weak solutions of p(x)p(x)-Laplacian type equation with small BMO coefficients in a δ-Reifenberg flat domain. The modified Vitali covering lemma, the maximal function technique and the appropriate localization method are the main analytical tools. We study some semilinear elliptic equations with singular coefficients which relate to some Hardy–Sobolev inequalities. We obtain some existence results for these equations and give a theorem for prescribing the Palais–Smale sequence for these equations. Moreover, we find some interesting connections between these equations and some semilinear elliptic equations in hyperbolic space. In this paper, a superlinear elliptic equation whose coefficient diverges on the boundary is studied in any bounded domain Ω under the zero Dirichlet boundary condition. Although the equation has a singularity on the boundary, a solution is smooth on the closure of the domain. We investigate uniqueness for degenerate parabolic and elliptic equations in the class of solutions belonging to weighted Lebesgue spaces and not satisfying any boundary condition. The uniqueness result that we provide relies on the existence of suitable positive supersolutions of the adjoint equations. Under proper assumptions on the behavior at the boundary of the coefficients of the operator, such supersolutions are constructed, mainly using the distance function from the boundary.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the regularity of generalized solutions u(x,t)u(x,t) for the n  -dimensional quasi-linear parabolic diffraction problem. By using various estimates and Steklov average methods, we prove that (1): for almost all tt the first derivatives ux(x,t)ux(x,t) are Hölder continuous with respect to xx up to the inner boundary, on which the coefficients of the equation are allowed to be discontinuous; and (2): the first derivative ut(x,t)ut(x,t) is Hölder continuous with respect to (x,t)(x,t) across the inner boundary.  相似文献

The Dirichlet problem is considered for the heat equation ut=auxx, a>0 a constant, for (x,t)∈[0,1]×[0,T], without assuming any compatibility condition between initial and boundary data at the corner points (0,0) and (1,0). Under some smoothness restrictions on the data (stricter than those required by the classical maximum principle), weak and strong supremum and infimum principles are established for the higher-order derivatives, ut and uxx, of the bounded classical solutions. When compatibility conditions of zero order are satisfied (i.e., initial and boundary data coincide at the corner points), these principles allow to estimate the higher-order derivatives of classical solutions uniformly from below and above on the entire domain, except that at the two corner points. When compatibility conditions of the second order are satisfied (i.e., classical solutions belong to on the closed domain), the results of the paper are a direct consequence of the classical maximum and minimum principles applied to the higher-order derivatives. The classical principles for the solutions to the Dirichlet problem with compatibility conditions are generalized to the case of the same problem without any compatibility condition. The Dirichlet problem without compatibility conditions is then considered for general linear one-dimensional parabolic equations. The previous results as well as some new properties of the corresponding Green functions derived here allow to establish uniformL1-estimates for the higher-order derivatives of the bounded classical solutions to the general problem.  相似文献
