In this paper, we formulate interface problem and Neumann elliptic boundary value problem into a form of linear operator equations with self-adjoint positive definite op- erators. We prove that in the discrete level the condition number of these operators is independent of the mesh size. Therefore, given a prescribed error tolerance, the classical conjugate gradient algorithm converges within a fixed number of iterations. The main computation task at each iteration is to solve a Dirichlet Poisson boundary value problem in a rectangular domain, which can be furnished with fast Poisson solver. The overall computational complexity is essentially of linear scaling.  相似文献

In this paper, We study a general class of nonlinear degenerated elliptic problems associated with the differential inclusion β(u)-div(a(x, Du)+ F(u)) ■ f in Ω, where f ∈ L1 Ω. A vector field a(·,·) is a Carath′eodory function. Using truncation techniques and the generalized monotonicity method in the functional spaces we prove the existence of renormalized solutions for general L1-data. Under an additional strict monotonicity assumption uniqueness of the renormalized solution is established.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the nonconforming finite element approximations of fourth order elliptic perturbation problems in two dimensions. We present an a posteriori error estimator under certain conditions, and give an h-version adaptive algorithm based on the error estimation. The local behavior of the estimator is analyzed as well. This estimator works for several nonconforming methods, such as the modified Morley method and the modified Zienkiewicz method, and under some assumptions, it is an optimal one. Numerical examples are reported, with a linear stationary Cahn-HiUiard-type equation as a model problem.  相似文献

In this paper we extend the idea of interpolated coefficients for a semilinear problem to the triangular finite volume element method. We first introduce triangular finite volume element method with interpolated coefficients for a boundary value problem of semilinear elliptic equation. We then derive convergence estimate in Hi-norm, L2-norm and L∞-norm, respectively. Finally an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper, empirical Bayes test for a parameter θ of two-parameter exponential distribution is investigated with replicated past data. Under some conditions, the asymptotically optimal property is obtained. It is indicated that the rate of convergence can be very close to O(N-2^-1) in this case that a parameter μ is known.  相似文献

We consider the solution of the good Boussinesq equation Utt -Uxx + Uxxxx = (U2)xx, -∞ 〈 x 〈 ∞, t ≥ 0, with periodic initial value U(x, 0) = ε(μ + φ(x)), Ut(x, 0) = εψ(x), -∞ 〈 x 〈 ∞, where μ = 0, φ(x) and ψ(x) are 2π-periodic functions with 0-average value in [0, 2π], and ε is small. A two parameter Bcklund transformation is found and provide infinite conservation laws for the good Boussinesq equation. The periodic solution is then shown to be uniformly bounded for all small ε, and the H1-norm is uniformly bounded and thus guarantees the global existence. In the case when the initial data is in the simplest form φ(x) = μ+a sin kx, ψ(x) = b cos kx, an approximation to the solution containing two terms is constructed via the method of multiple scales. By using the energy method, we show that for any given number T 〉 0, the difference between the true solution u(x, t; ε) and the N-th partial sum of the asymptotic series is bounded by εN+1 multiplied by a constant depending on T and N, for all -∞ 〈 x 〈 ∞, 0 ≤ |ε|t ≤ T and 0 ≤ |ε|≤ε0.  相似文献

This article develops a model to examine the equilibrium behavior of the time inconsistency problem in a continuous time economy with stochastic and endogenized distortion. First, the authors introduce the notion of sequentially rational equilibrium, and show that the time inconsistency problem may be solved with trigger reputation strategies for stochastic setting. The conditions for the existence of sequentially rational equilibrium are provided. Then, the concept of sequentially rational stochastically stable equilibrium is introduced. The authors compare the relative stability between the cooperative behavior and uncooperative behavior, and show that the cooperative equilibrium in this monetary policy game is a sequentially rational stochastically stable equilibrium and the uncooperative equilibrium is sequentially rational stochastically unstable equilibrium. In the long run, the zero inflation monetary policies are inherently more stable than the discretion rules, and once established, they tend to persist for longer periods of the time.  相似文献

Based on the Karamata regular variation theory and the method of explosive sub and supersolution, the boundary behaviour of explosive solutions to the quasilinear elliptic equation was obtained, where the singular weight function is non-negative and non-trivial, which may be unbounded on the boundary, the nonlinear term is a Γ-varying function, whose variation at infinity is not regular. The results of this article emphasize the central role played by the gradient term and singular weight function.  相似文献

We develop a uniaxial optimal perfectly matched layer (opt PML) method for solving the time-harmonic scattering problems by choosing a particular absorbing function with unbounded integral in a rectangular domain. With this choice, the solution of the optimal PML problem not only converges exponentially to the solution of the original scatting problem, but also is insensitive to the thickness of the PML layer for sufficiently small parameter ε0. Numerical experiments are included to illustrate the competitive behavior of the proposed optimal method.  相似文献
