We consider the Burgers equation with a nonhomogeneous drift term, in the limit of small dissipation. A finite-dimensional manifold of slowly varying shock-like solutions is described, and a formal derivation of the dynamics on this manifold, in terms of a system of ordinary differential equations, is given. We also discuss the interpretation of the stationary solutions to the Burgers equation imbedded on the slow manifold.  相似文献

A decoupling algorithm is applied to the two-point boundary value problem which arises in calculating reflection matrices. The solution of this two-point boundary value problem using Thomson-Haskell propagator matrices is known to be unstable at high frequency in the presence of evanescent waves. The decoupling algorithm described here eliminates the instability. The algorithm makes it possible to decouple the upgoing waves from the downgoing waves and to advance each in the direction in which it decays. The difficulty with the Thomson-Haskell propagator method has been eliminated in other ways. The decoupling algorithm retains most of the algebraic simplicity of the propagator matrix method.  相似文献

基于能够描述爆炸地震波的非平稳随机过程模型进行爆炸地震波的模拟研究。基于爆炸地震能量守恒以及经验关系,提出了能够考虑装药量和爆距影响的爆炸地震波功率谱密度和幅值包络线模型,并且利用实测的爆炸试验数据,对模型参数进行标定,给出单点、两点(微差)和多点(微差)爆炸地震波实用模拟方法。结果表明模拟得到的爆炸地震波时程能够很好地再现爆炸地震波的一些特性。  相似文献

在岩石场地进行了单段深孔爆破试验,获得了具有该场地特征的爆破地震波传播规律。从理论上推导了爆破地震波振动强度衰减系数K和与分形盒维数D以及盒维数计算中-lg(k) lgNk的双对数拟合直线方程参数b的关系。采用了适用于爆破地震波曲线双尺度特征的矩形盒模型计算了爆破地震波的盒维数D。数据分析表明:在同一场地条件下,爆破地震波的盒维数比较稳定,且爆破地震波振动强度的场地衰减指数与D为两倍的关系;药量和距离对盒维数拟合直线方程参数b的影响明显,且其关系与场地衰减指数对爆破地震波峰值强度的作用相近。通过数据分析,获得了参数b与爆破地震波振动峰值A的关系式:b=0.689lgA+3.0669,其相关系数为0.93。  相似文献

This paper investigates the possibility of shear wave propagation along the plane surface in the interface of two different types of fibre reinforced media. The upper layer is fibre reinforced and the lower half-space is taken inhomogeneous fibre reinforced. Dispersion equation and condition for maximum energy flow near the surface are obtained in compact form. The dispersion equation coincides with that of Love wave for uniform media. Effect of reinforcement and inhomogeneity on phase and group velocity has been depicted by means of graphs. It is observed that inhomogeneity and reinforcement decreases the phase velocity and presence of reinforcement deviate the group velocity.  相似文献

Love waves are dispersive interfacial waves that are a mode of response for anti-plane motions of an elastic layer bonded to an elastic half-space. Similarly, Stoneley waves are interfacial waves in bonded contact of dissimilar elastic half-spaces, when the displacements are in the plane of the solids. It is shown that in slow sliding, long-wavelength Love and Stoneley waves are destabilized by friction. Friction is assumed to have a positive instantaneous logarithmic dependence on slip rate and a logarithmic rate weakening behavior at steady-state.Long-wavelength instabilities occur generically in sliding with rate- and state-dependent friction, even when an interfacial wave does not exist. For slip at low rates, such instabilities are quasi-static in nature, i.e., the phase velocity is negligibly small in comparison to a shear wave speed. The existence of an interfacial wave in bonded contact permits an instability to propagate with a speed of the order of a shear wave speed even in slow sliding, indicating that the quasi-static approximation is not valid in such problems.  相似文献

The mode conversions which occur during the reflection and transmission of seismic waves at the boundaries of porous media are analysed. It is shown how the energy partitioned to the various modes depends on the incident angle and on the physical properties of the fluid and solid components on each side of the boundary. The boundary conditions used here predict the occurrence of bright and dark spots as are currently observed in seismic studies of heavy oil reservoirs. They also give rise to a class of pseudo interface waves which propagate in a direction almost parallel to the surface and which become true interface waves in the limiting case where the porous media degenerate to elastic solids. When thermomechanical coupling is an important attenaution mechanism in one of the media it is also observed to have a substantial effect on the mode conversions which occur at the boundary.  相似文献

A hierarchical classification of elastic waves based on the concept of the shape of the wave profile and the fact that the phase velocity is either constant or functionally dependent on the amplitude or phase is described. By elastic waves are understood waves that propagate in elastic media and that are not necessarily linear and not necessarily single-phase. Five types of waves are introduced, being distinguished in terms of features introduced in the present article that also render their properties more complicated in terms of the hierarchical classification. A new method of studying plane steady wave motion of a gravity fluid is elucidated in this paper. This method succeeds in establishing the existence of a solitary wave, for example, and in giving the first complete foundation for the approximate Rayleigh theory [1], which concerns the theory of finite-amplitude long waves. Underlying the method are general boundary properties of univalent functions, used earlier by the author to construct a qualitative theory of jet fluid motions [2].  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to propose a possible mathematical model of site effects that occur when seismic waves propagate through a sediment filled basin. The model is based on the mechanical properties of the medium (that we consider as a granular material) through which the seismic waves propagate. By looking for asymptotic solutions having the features of a progressive wave, we derive an evolution equation which is a modified Korteweg–deVries–Burgers equation containing also a nonlinear dissipative term. This equation is integrated numerically and the modelled site amplification is evaluated by using the smoothed spectral ratio between the propagated profile of the wave and the initial one.  相似文献

Energy focusing is found on the wave fronts of slow waves, which is a new propagation characteristic for slow waves in fluid-saturated porous materials. The material parameters, as well as the propagation directions, are chosen as the control parameters. Combined with the two axial variables, the influence of the anisotropy of the solid skeleton and pore fluid parameters on the propagation characteristic of slow waves in anisotropic fluid-saturated porous materials is discussed. The correspondence between the focusing on the wave fronts and the contours of zero Gaussian curvature on the slowness surface is explored. The development of the focusing patterns is investigated and the distinct trends in the energy flux focusing structures are revealed. This is helpful in further understanding the roles of the pore fluid in the damage of the fluid-saturated porous media.  相似文献
