The notion of quasi-affine frame was recently introduced by Ron and Shen [9] in order to achieve shift-invariance of the discrete wavelet transform. In this paper, we establish a duality-preservation theorem for quasi-affine frames. Furthermore, the preservation of frame bounds when changing an affine frame to a quasi-affine frame is shown to hold without the decay assumptions in [9]. Our consideration leads naturally to the study of certain sesquilinear operators which are defined by two affine systems. The translation-invariance of such operators is characterized in terms of certain intrinsic properties of the two affine systems. It is proved that “most” convex bodies in IE d touch the boundaries of their minimal circumscribed and their maximal inscribed ellipsoids in preciselyd(d+3)/2 points. A version of the former result shows that for “most” compact sets in IE d the corresponding optimal designs, i.e. probability measures with a certain extremal property, are concentrated ond(d+1)/2 points.  相似文献

We establish the theory of Orlicz-Hardy spaces generated by a wide class of functions.The class will be wider than the class of all the N-functions.In particular,we consider the non-smooth atomic decomposition.The relation between Orlicz-Hardy spaces and their duals is also studied.As an application,duality of Hardy spaces with variable exponents is revisited.This work is different from earlier works about Orlicz-Hardy spaces H(Rn)in that the class of admissible functions is largely widened.We can deal with,for example,(r)≡(rp1(log(e+1/r))q1,0r 6 1,rp2(log(e+r))q2,r1,with p1,p2∈(0,∞)and q1,q2∈(.∞,∞),where we shall establish the boundedness of the Riesz transforms on H(Rn).In particular,is neither convex nor concave when 0p11p2∞,0p21p1∞or p1=p2=1 and q1,q20.If(r)≡r(log(e+r))q,then H(Rn)=H(logH)q(Rn).We shall also establish the boundedness of the fractional integral operators I of order∈(0,∞).For example,I is shown to be bounded from H(logH)1./n(Rn)to Ln/(n.)(log L)(Rn)for 0n.  相似文献

Given a set of participants we wish to distribute information relating to a secret in such a way that only specified groups of participants can reconstruct the secret. We consider here a special class of such schemes that can be described in terms of finite geometries as first proposed by Simmons. We formalize the Simmons model and show that given a geometric scheme for a particular access structure it is possible to find another geometric scheme whose access structure is the dual of the original scheme, and which has the same average and worst-case information rates as the original scheme. In this paper we give a unified framework for the construction of complex valued harmonic morphisms from the real, complex and quaternionic Grassmannians and their non-compact duals. Suppose that f=(u,v) is a homeomorphism in the plane of the Sobolev class such that its inverse is of the same Sobolev class. We prove that u and v have the same set of critical points. As an application we show that u and v are distributional solutions to the same non-trivial degenerate elliptic equation in divergence form. Some people try to construct an orthonormal wavelet such that the corresponding scaling function φ(t) has the cardinal property,i.e. ϕ(n)= σn0, since such wavelets have many good applications. Unfortunately it is impossible to do so, except for a trivial case[1]. In this work, a family of non-orthogonal cardinal wavelets with compact support is constructed and their duals are investigated. A special case of the big q-Jacobi polynomials Pn(x;a,b,c;q), which corresponds to a=b=−c, is shown to satisfy a discrete orthogonality relation for imaginary values of the parameter a (outside of its commonly known domain 0<a<q−1). Since Pn(x;qα,qα,−qα;q) tend to Gegenbauer (or ultraspherical) polynomials in the limit as q→1, this family represents another q-extension of these classical polynomials, different from the continuous q-ultraspherical polynomials of Rogers. For a dual family with respect to the polynomials Pn(x;a,a,−a;q) (i.e., for dual discrete q-ultraspherical polynomials) we also find new orthogonality relations with extremal measures.  相似文献

We give a new proof of a result of Benndorf about the convergence conditions one can obtain for sequences of operators defining the BAP (resp. FDD) in Fréchet Schwartz spaces. We also obtain an even stronger result for DF co-Schwartz spaces, dualizing in this way Benndorf's result.  相似文献
