The dependence of magnetization on the variation of temperature for La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 and La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 perovskite-type ceramic materials under an external magnetic field was modelled. Application of phenomenological model was performed, showing a good agreement with the experimental data. Temperature dependence of change of both magnetic entropy and specific heat under magnetic field 0.05?T was predicted for La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 and La0.67Sr0.33MnO3. Predicted values of maximum magnetic entropy change, full-width at half-maximum, relative cooling power and maximum specific heat under 0.05 T were evaluated.  相似文献

We measured the temperature dependence of the linear high field Hall resistivity of ( K) and ( K) thin films in the temperature range from 4 K up to 360 K in magnetic fields up to 20 T. At low temperatures we find a charge-carrier density of 1.3 and 1.4 holes per unit cell for the Ca- and Sr-doped compound, respectively. In this temperature range electron-magnon scattering contributes to the longitudinal resistivity. At the ferromagnetic transition temperature a dramatic drop in the number of charge-carriers n down to 0.6 holes per unit cell, accompanied by an increase in unit cell volume, is observed. Corrections of the Hall data due to a non saturated magnetic state will lead a more pronounced charge-carrier density collapse. 通过实验研究了La0.67-xGdxSr0.33CoO3、La0.67-xGdxSr0.33MnO3(x=0.00、0.05、0.10、0.20、0.30、0.40、0.50、0.60、0.67)体系的磁化强度与温度的关系(M~T)曲线、磁化强度与磁场强度的关系(M~H)曲线.实验结果表明,随Gd掺杂浓度增高,La0.67-xGdxSr0.33CoO3体系的磁结构表现为团簇玻璃态,x>0.10样品的M~T曲线出现了低温区M值急剧上升的奇特现象;La0.67-xGdxSr0.33MnO3体系的磁结构从长程铁磁有序向团簇玻璃态、反铁磁状态转变,x≥0.50样品的M~T曲线在低温区急剧下降.两种体系呈现的不同现象,来源于Gd与Co、Mn不同的耦合作用和Co的自旋态的转变.  相似文献

Previous infrared studies on the hole-doped manganite La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (LSMO) have analysed its charge dynamics in terms of one type of charge carrier despite evidence of both electron and hole Fermi surfaces. Here, we investigate the charge dynamics of an LSMO film with infrared and optical spectroscopy in order to provide a complete picture of metallic conduction. In the ferromagnetic metallic phase, the low-frequency optical conductivity is best explained by a two-carrier model comprising electrons and holes. The number densities, effective masses and relaxation response of the delocalized electrons and holes are quantified. We discover that only one-third of the doped charges are coherent and contribute to the dc transport. Metallic LSMO cannot be classified as a bad metal at low temperatures because the mean free path of the coherent, mobile charge carriers exceeds the Ioffe–Regel–Mott limit. The incoherent spectral response of the doped charges manifests itself as a broad mid-infrared feature. We also report the first observation of splitting of an infrared-active phonon due to local Jahn–Teller distortion in the vicinity of the thermally driven transition to the nonmetallic, paramagnetic phase in LSMO. This demonstrates that infrared spectroscopy is capable of detecting the presence of local lattice distortions in correlated electron systems.  相似文献

The Hall effect in polycrystalline barium-substituted lanthanum manganite La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 has been investigated in the temperature interval 298<T<355 K. It is found that the anomalous Hall coefficient in this material is two orders of magnitude greater than the normal coefficient. At T 0=333 K the normal Hall coefficient changes sign, which indicates a change in the type of conductivity. The temperature dependence of the normal Hall coefficient, electrical conductivity, and magnetoresistance is explained on the basis of the concept of motion of the mobility edge attendant as the temperature changes. Epitaxial superlattices of ferromagnetic/paramagnetic La0.67Sr0.33MnO3/SrIrO3 materials have been prepared on SrTiO3 (100) substrate using pulse laser deposition technique. An unexpected onset of interface magnetic interaction has been observed around 40 K. Interestingly, magnetic exchange bias effect has been observed in both field cooled and zero field cooled magnetization loops, however, the shifting of loop is opposite in both measurements. Exchange bias field vanishes as temperature increases to interface magnetic ordering temperature. Moreover, exchange bias field is found to decrease with increasing cooling field. We believe that tuning of magnetic exchange at interface during field cooling induces this evolution in nature of exchange bias field.  相似文献

An experimental study of the Hall effect and of magnetoresistance in polycrystalline La0.67−x CexSr0.33MnO3 samples (x=0, 0.07) is reported. It is shown that the normal Hall coefficient reverses sign at T 0=360 K in both samples and that metallic conduction occurs for T<T 0, while for T>T 0 the conduction is by mechanisms operative in disordered materials. It has been established that doping with cerium brings about an increase in the metallic phase of the normal and anomalous Hall coefficients. We have studied the acoustoelectric (AE) effect produced by surface acoustic waves (SAW) in a monolithic layered structure, composed of a piezodielectric LiNbO3 substrate and a La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 film. The experiments unexpectedly revealed in the longitudinal AE effect an anomalous contribution, invariant upon reversal of SAW propagation, which coexists with the ordinary (odd in wave vector) effect. The anomalous effect dominates near the metal-insulator transition, while the ordinary effect prevails at high and low temperatures. We show that the anomalous effect is caused by strong modulation of the film conductivity produced by the SAW elastic deformations.  相似文献

We have grown La1.48Nd0.4Sr0.12CuO4/La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (LNSCO/LSMO) bilayer structure on SrTiO3 (0 0 1) substrate. Both temperature dependences of resistivity and magnetization curves show anomalies between 60 < T < 80 K, where a low-temperature orthorhombic (LTO) to low-temperature tetragonal (LTT) structural transition is observed in LNSCO bulk crystal. It is suggested that the formation of domains in LSMO layer can relax the strains caused by the LTO–LTT transition in LNSCO layer.  相似文献

实验测量了在不同温度和电场下,超巨磁电阻CMR(colossal magnetoresistance)薄膜材料La0.67Sr0.33MnO3(LSMO)的光响应特性.发现样品被激光照射后,具有光诱导电阻变化的特性.在温度小于居里点Tc时,电阻随温度升高而增大,在Tc以上时,电阻则随温度升高而减小.通过对样品的光脉冲响应和偏置电场的关系分析,可认为其光响应特性的机理与激光激励下引起的自旋系统变化有关.  相似文献

High crystalline quality CrN thin films have been grown on La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 (LSMO) templates by molecular beam epitaxy. The structure and magnetic properties of CrN/LSMO heterojunctions are investigated combining with the experiments and the first-principles simulation. The Nėel temperature of the CrN/LSMO samples is found to be 281 K and the saturation magnetization of CrN/LSMO increases compared to that of LSMO templates. The magnetic property of CrN/LSMO heterostructures mainly comes from Cr atoms of (001) CrN and Mn atoms of (001) LSMO. The (001) LSMO induces and couples the spin of the CrN sublattice at CrN/LSMO interface.  相似文献

(001)La0.67Sr0.33MnO3/(001)(BaxSr1 ? x TiO3/(001)La0.67Sr0.33MnO3(x= 0–0.25) three-layer heterostructures are grown by laser evaporation on (001)La0.3Sr0.7Al0.65Ta0.35O3 single-crystalline substrates. In a wide temperature range (≈150 K), effective permittivity ? of (1000 nm)Ba0.25Sr0.75TiO3 and (1000 nm)SrTiO3 films grown obeys the relationship ? ~ (T ? T CW)?1, where T CW is the Curie-Weiss temperature for related bulk crystals. Using experimental dependences ?(T), the capacitance of the (001)La0.67Sr0.33MnO3/(001)BaxSr1?x TiO3 and (001)La0.67Sr0.33MnO3/(001)SrTiO3 interfaces, which is due to electric field penetration into the manganite electrode, is estimated (C int≈4μF/cm2). At bias voltages of ± 2.5 V, the change in the permittivity of the STO and BSTO films in the heterostructures studied reaches 25 and 45%, respectively.  相似文献

Linear dichroism (LD) in x-ray absorption, diffraction, transport, and magnetization measurements on thin La(0.7)Sr(0.3)MnO(3) films grown on different substrates, allow identification of a peculiar interface effect, related just to the presence of the interface. We report the LD signature of preferential 3d-e(g)(3z(2)-r(2)) occupation at the interface, suppressing the double exchange mechanism. This surface orbital reconstruction is opposite to that favored by residual strain and is independent of dipolar fields, the chemical nature of the substrate and the presence of capping layers.  相似文献

Thermoelectric power (TEP) studies of La0.67Sr0.33MnO3 polycrystalline manganite material system having varying particle size have been undertaken. These materials were prepared by citrate based sol–gel route by sintering at four different temperatures and were later characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy, electrical resistivity, AC susceptibility, etc., studies. The XRD data were analyzed by Rietveld refinement technique. Thermopower versus temperature plots are found to exhibit two peaks and an effort has been made to explain the significance of both of them. Finally, with a view to understand the conduction mechanism in these materials, TEP data in the low-temperature ferromagnetic metallic (T < T P) regime were analyzed using electron–magnon scattering phenomenon, while that in the high-temperature insulating (T > T P) region were analyzed by small polaron hopping model.  相似文献

Annealing dependence of the lattice parameter, resistivity, magnetoresistance and thermopower have been studied on Nd0.7-Sr0.33MnO3 thin films deposited on LaAlO3 and alumina substrates by pulsed laser ablation. Upon annealing at 800°C and 1000°C the lattice constant of the LaAlO3 film tends toward that of the bulk target due to reduction in oxygen vacancies. This results in a metal-insulator transition at temperatures which increase with progressive annealing along with a decrease in the observed low temperature MR. Using a magnon scattering model we estimate the e g bandwidth of the film annealed at 1000°C and show that the magnon contribution to the resistivity is suppressed in a highly oxygen deficient film and gains prominence only upon subsequent annealing. We also show that upon annealing, the polaron concentration and the spin cluster size increases in the paramagnetic phase, using an adiabatic polaron hopping model which takes into account an exchange dependent activation energy above the resistivity peak.  相似文献
