The elastic electroproduction of mesons is studied at HERA with the H1 detector for a photon virtuality in the range and for a hadronic centre of mass energy in the range GeV. The shape of the () mass distribution in the resonance region is measured as a function of . The full set of spin density matrix elements is determined, and evidence is found for a helicity flip amplitude at the level of of the non-flip amplitudes. Measurements are presented of the dependence of the cross section on , W and t (the four-momentum transfer squared to the proton). They suggest that, especially at large , the cross section develops a stronger W dependence than that expected from the behaviour of elastic and total hadron–hadron cross sections. The exclusive ω electroproduction off the proton was studied in a large kinematical domain above the nucleon resonance region and for the highest possible photon virtuality (Q2) with the 5.75 GeV beam at CEBAF and the CLAS spectrometer. Cross-sections were measured up to large values of the four-momentum transfer (- t < 2.7 GeV2) to the proton. The contributions of the interference terms σ{TT} and σ{TL} to the cross-sections, as well as an analysis of the ω spin density matrix, indicate that helicity is not conserved in this process. The t-channel π0 exchange, or more generally the exchange of the associated Regge trajectory, seems to dominate the reaction γ*p↦ωp, even for Q2 as large as 5 GeV2. Contributions of handbag diagrams, related to Generalized Parton Distributions in the nucleon, are therefore difficult to extract for this process. Remarkably, the high-t behaviour of the cross-sections is nearly Q2-independent, which may be interpreted as a coupling of the photon to a point-like object in this kinematical limit.  相似文献

A study is made of the simplest (pole) mechanisms of violation of the invariance under spatial reflection near the threshold of pion electroproduction on nucleons. A detailed investigation is made of the Born mechanism of violation of P invariance and also vector meson exchange with violation of P invariance at the electromagnetic or the strong vertices. The contribution of isobars is calculated in the framework of the isobar model in the resonance region of energies.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 4, pp. 3–10, April, 1980.  相似文献

A Regge-pole model with π-, ?-,A 2- andR-meson exchange and absorptive corrections are used to reproduce the π± photoproduction data in the larges, small ¦t¦ region. The starting point for the calculation of the absorptive corrections is the Regge-pole model for invariant functions.  相似文献

We calculate the branching ratios and CP-asymmetries for , and decays, in the perturbative QCD approach. In this approach, we calculate non-factorizable and annihilation type contributions, in addition to the usual factorizable contributions. Our result is in agreement with the branching ratio of , measured by the CLEO and BABAR collaborations. We also predict large CP-asymmetries in these decays. These channels are useful to determine the CKM angle . Received: 5 November 2001 / Published online: 8 February 2002  相似文献

A formalism is developed for the partial-wave analysis of data on meson photoproduction off deuterons and applied to photoproduction of and mesons. Different interpretations of a dip-bump structure of the photoproduction cross-section in the 1670MeV region are presented and discussed. Helicity amplitudes for two low-mass S11 states are determined.  相似文献

Using a set of new odderon states, we calculate their contribution to the diffractive photo- and electroproduction process. Compared to previous simple 3-gluon exchange calculations we find an enhancement of about one order of magnitude in the cross section. The t-dependence of the cross section exhibits a dip structure in the small t region. Received: 18 March 2001 / Published online: 11 May 2001  相似文献

We study the implications of the recently improved upper limits on the branching ratios for the decays , expressed as . We work out the constraints that the current bound on implies on the parameters of the quark mixing matrix in the standard model (SM). Using the present profile of the unitarity triangle, we predict this ratio to lie in the range (at 95% C.L.), with the central value . We also work out the correlations involving , the isospin-violating ratio , and the direct CP-violating asymmetry in decays in the SM, in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the SM (MSSM), and in an extension of the MSSM involving an additional flavor-changing structure in transitions. The scattering cross section of the reaction + N N + , + N N + is calculated by the semiclassical method. It is predicted that the latter reaction occurs through N** resonance. The mass of this resonance, the spin, and isospin are found. The zero approximation with respect to the coupling constant between the - and -mesons is considered.  相似文献

By employing the QCD factorization approach, we calculated the next-to-leading order new physics contributions to the branching ratios, CP asymmetries, isospin and U-spin symmetry breaking of the exclusive decays ( ), induced by the charged Higgs penguins in general two-Higgs-doublet models. Within the considered parameter space, we found that (a) the new physics corrections to the observables are generally small in model I and model III-A, moderate in model II, but large in model III-B; (b) from the well measured branching ratios and upper limits, a lower bound of MH > 200 GeV in model II was obtained, while the allowed range of MH in model III-B is GeV; these bounds are comparable with those from the inclusive decay; (c) the NLO Wilson coefficient C7(mb) in model III-B is positive and disfavored by the measured value of isospin symmetry breaking , but it still cannot be excluded if we take the large errors into account; (d) the CP asymmetry in model III-B has an opposite sign to the one in the standard model (SM), which may be used as a good observable to distinguish the SM from model III-B; (e) the isospin symmetry breaking is less than in the region of preferred by the global fit result, but it can be as large as 20 to in the regions of and . The SM and model III-B predictions for are opposite in sign for small or large values of the CKM angles; (f) the U-spin symmetry breaking in the SM and the general two-Higgs-doublet models is generally small in size: .Received: 9 October 2003, Revised: 11 November 2003, Published online: 18 February 2004  相似文献

We study polarization variables in the photoproduction of $ \omega$ -mesons with subsequent $ \omega$ $ \gamma$ $ \pi^{0}_{}$ decay. Single and double polarization observables are calculated as a function of different final-state angles. Reaction models include pomeron (natural parity) and $ \pi^{0}_{}$ (unnatural parity) exchange in the t -channel. In addition, the contribution of s -channel resonances is considered. The sensitivity of the polarization observables to the reaction dynamics is discussed.  相似文献

Exclusive production of and mesons in ep collisions has been studied with the ZEUS detector in the kinematic range GeV, GeV for the data and GeV, GeV for the data. Cross sections for exclusive and production have been measured as a function of , W and t. The spin-density matrix elements , and Re have been determined for exclusive production as well as and for exclusive production. The results are discussed in the context of theoretical models invoking soft and hard phenomena. Received: 20 August 1998 / Published online: 14 January 1999  相似文献

The Einstein-Maxwell equations for non-static charged shear-free spherically symmetric perfect fluid distribution reduce to a second-order non-linear differential equation in the radial parameter. Several solutions of this equation have been obtained in earlier work without considering the general requirement for physical relevance of the solutions. Generally physically acceptable relativistic fluid models demand that the solutions satisfy the reality conditions ρ ≥ 0, p ≥ 0, ρ r ≤ 0, etc. throughout the fluid model. In this article the expression for density gradient ρ x (or ρ r ) has been utilized to produce charged shear-free relativistic fluid models with non-positive density gradient (NDG)ρ r ≤ 0. Eventually, we have found that none of the Riccati solutions have NDG including Vaidya metric. Also, the solutions with NDG neither possess Lie-symmetries nor Painlevé property. Further, it is observed that the solutions with NDG have no uncharged analogue.  相似文献

Using an effective Lagrangian approach as well as the Quark-Gluon Strings Model, we analyze near-threshold production of a 0(980)-mesons in the reaction as well as the background of non-resonant -pair production. We argue that the reaction at an energy release MeV is dominated by the intermediate production of the a 0(980)-resonance. At larger energies the non-resonant -pair production --where the kaons are produced in a relative P-wave-- becomes important. The effects of final-state interactions are evaluated in a unitarized scattering length approach and found to be in the order of a 20% suppression close to threshold. Thus, in present experiments at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY-Jülich for MeV the a 0 + signal can reliably be separated from the non-resonant background.Received: 26 February 2004, Published online: 21 September 2004PACS: 25.10. + s Nuclear reactions involving few-nucleon systems - 13.75.-n Hadron-induced low- and intermediate-energy reactions and scattering (energy GeV)  相似文献
