This paper is primarily intended as an introduction for mathematicians to some of the rich algebraic combinatorics arising in for instance conformal field theory (CFT). It tries to refine, modernise, and bridge the gap between papers [6] and [55]. Our paper is essentially self-contained, apart from some of the background motivation (Section 1) and examples (Section 3) which are included to give the reader a sense of the context. Detailed proofs will appear elsewhere. The theory is still a work-in-progress, and emphasis is given here to several open questions and problems. 相似文献

In this paper, we consider the problem of determining optimal operating conditions for a data processing system. The system is burned‐in for a fixed burn‐in time before it is put into field operation and, in field operation, it has a work size and follows an age‐replacement policy. Assuming that the underlying lifetime distribution of the system has a bathtub‐shaped failure rate function, the properties of optimal burn‐in time, optimal work size and optimal age‐replacement policy will be derived. It can be seen that this model is a generalization of those considered in the previous works, and it yields a better optimal operating conditions. This paper presents an analytical method for three‐dimensional optimization problem. An algorithm for determining optimal operating conditions is also given. This paper puts forward an integrated fuzzy simulation-fuzzy data envelopment analysis (FSFDEA) algorithm to cope with a special case of single-row facility layout problem (SRFLP). Discrete-event-simulation, a powerful tool for analyzing complex and stochastic systems, is employed for modeling different layout formations. Afterwards, a range-adjusted measure (RAM) is used as a data envelopment analysis (DEA) model for ranking the simulation results and finding the optimal layout design. Due to ambiguousness associated with the processing times, fuzzy sets theory is incorporated into the simulation model. Since the results of simulation are in the form of possibility distributions, the DEA model is treated on a fuzzy basis; therefore, a recent possibilistic programming approach is used to convert the fuzzy DEA model to an equivalent crisp one. The proposed FSFDEA algorithm is capable of modeling and optimizing small-sized SRFLP’s in stochastic, uncertain, and non-linear environments. The solution quality is inspected through a real case study in a refrigerator manufacturing company. 相似文献

In July of 1987, the Sampling Survey of Children's Situation was conducted in 9 provinces/autonomous regions of China. A stratified two-stage cluster sampling plan was designed for the survey. The paper presents the methods of stratification, selectingn=2 PSU's (cities/counties) with unequal probabilities without replacement in each stratum and selecting residents/village committees in each sampled city/county. All formulae of estimating population characteristics (especially population totals and the ratios of two totals), and estimating variances of those estimators are given. In physical and technical applications, an important task is to process experimental curves measured with large errors. Such problems are solved by applying regularization methods, in which success depends on the mathematician’s intuition. We propose an approximation based on the double period method developed for smooth nonperiodic functions. Tikhonov’s stabilizer with a squared second derivative is used for regularization. As a result, the spurious oscillations are suppressed and the shape of an experimental curve is accurately represented. This approach offers a universal strategy for solving a broad class of problems. The method is illustrated by approximating cross sections of nuclear reactions important for controlled thermonuclear fusion. Tables recommended as reference data are obtained. These results are used to calculate the reaction rates, which are approximated in a way convenient for gasdynamic codes. These approximations are superior to previously known formulas in the covered temperature range and accuracy. 相似文献
