A square-root-operator formalism is developed for quantum systems described with nonrelativistic and relativistic equations of motion. Spectral representation for Green's functions are designed for particles with spin 0, with the implication of its generalization to other spin values. Nonlocal operators suggest that a duality exists between physical particles and dual partners, which are tachyonic mathematical particles. It is shown that nonlocal operators result naturally from square-root operators, with the implication that microcausality holds only asymptotically. Applications help enlighten the formalism in order to envisage realistic situations with Schrödinger equations, Higgs fields, vacuum fluctuations, extra-dimensional methods in the potential theory, and electromagnetic interactions of extended charges and their consequences. It turns out that the innermost structure of these extended charges is associated with nonlocal photon propagators. It is shown that the propagator arisen from the charged torus potential consists of two different parts: a nonlocal photon propagator and a propagator of neutrino-like particles, which is described by square-root-operator equation. We examine the potential of the torus and its propagator as the appearance of superfields in terms of the photon and the massless fermion (photino).  相似文献

We present a general approach to the construction of conservation laws for the dynamics of nonholonomic relativistic systems.Firstly,we give the definition of integrating factors for the differential equations of motion of a mechanical system.Next, the necessary conditions for the existemce of the conserved quantities are studied in detail. Then,we establish the existential theorem for the conserved quantities and its inverse for the equations of motion of a nonholonomic relativistic system. Finally,an exampled is given to illustrate the application of the result.  相似文献

We discuss nonlocal symmetries and nonlocal conservation laws that follow from the systematic potentialisation of evolution equations. Those are the Lie point symmetries of the auxiliary systems, also known as potential symmetries. We define higher-degree potential symmetries which then lead to nonlocal conservation laws and nonlocal transformations for the equations. We demonstrate our approach and derive second degree potential symmetries for the Burgers' hierarchy and the Calogero–Degasperis–Ibragimov–Shabat hierarchy.  相似文献

A formalism for anisotropic fluid dynamics is proposed. It is designed to describe boost-invariant systems with anisotropic pressure. Such systems are expected to be produced at the early stages of relativistic heavy-ion collisions, when the timescales are too short to achieve equal thermalization of transverse and longitudinal degrees of freedom. The approach is based on the energy–momentum and entropy conservation laws, and may be regarded as a minimal extension of the boost-invariant standard relativistic hydrodynamics of the perfect fluid. We show how the formalism may be used to describe the isotropization of the system (the transition from the initial state with no longitudinal pressure to the final state with equal longitudinal and transverse pressure).  相似文献

In this paper, we present a new method to construct the conservation laws for relativistic mechanical systems by finding corresponding integrating factors. First, the Lagrange equations of relativistic mechanical systems are established, and the definition of integrating factors of the systems is given; second, the necessary conditions for the existence of conserved quantities of the relativistic mechanical systems are studied in detail, and the relation between the conservation laws and the integrating factors of the systems is obtained and the generalized Killing equations for the determination of the integrating factors are given; finally, the conservation theorem and its inverse for the systems are established, and an example is given to illustrate the application of the results.  相似文献

The Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations for the relativistic classical dynamics of a charged particle with dipole moment in the presence of an electromagnetic field are given. The differential conservation laws for the energy-momentum and angular momentum tensors of a field and particle are discussed. The Poisson brackets for basic dynamic variables, which form a closed algebra, are found. These Poisson brackets enable us to perform the canonical quantization of the Hamiltonian equations that leads to the Dirac wave equation in the case of spin 1/2. It is also shown that the classical limit of the squared Dirac equation results in equations of motion for a charged particle with dipole moment obtained from the Lagrangian formulation. The inclusion of gravitational field and non-Abelian gauge fields into the proposed formalism is discussed.Received: 4 June 2005, Published online: 27 July 2005  相似文献

Momentum transfer between matter and electromagnetic field is analyzed. The related equations of motion and conservation laws are derived using relativistic formalism. Their correspondence to various, at first sight self-contradicting, experimental data (the so-called Abraham-Minkowski controversy) is demonstrated. A new, Casimir-like, quantum phenomenon is predicted: contribution of vacuum fluctuations to the motion of dielectric liquids in crossed electric and magnetic fields. Velocities of about 50 nm/s can be expected due to the contribution of high frequency vacuum modes. The proposed phenomenon could be used in the future as an investigating tool for zero fluctuations. Other possible applications lie in fields of microfluidics or precise positioning of micro-objects, e.g., cold atoms or molecules.  相似文献

Abstract

Differential forms are used for construction of nonlocal symmetries of partial differential equations with conservation laws. Every conservation law allows to introduce a nonlocal variable corresponding to a conserved quantity. A prolongation technique is suggested for action of symmetry operators on these nonlocal variables. It is shown how to introduce these variables for the symmetry group to remain the same. A new hidden symmetry and corresponding group-invariant solution are found for gas dynamic equations.  相似文献

The standards of measurement employed in physics are arbitrary; it is shown that in consequence, the equations of motion in classical and quantum mechanics ere linear first order differential equations and that macroscopic phenomena obey the transformations of special relativity. The relations of these statements to microscopic evidence for special relativity and to conservation laws are considered. The physical reasons for the choice of a number of independent physical standards are discussed. The use of quantum phenomena to establish standards of measurements is described and related to the occurrence of fundamental quantum constants of physics.  相似文献

We develop a path integral formalism that allows for semi-classical quantization of systems with spin degrees of freedom. We apply it to study the continuous Heisenberg spin chain, which has been known to possess interesting classical solutions. The calculated semi-classical spectrum turns out to be essentially exact. We also construct a new infinite series of conservation laws that are nonlocal generalizations of the spin.  相似文献

A theory of gravitation with torsion that is derived from a potential is developed. An explicit material action is presented that gives rise to the correct conservation laws and equations of motion. It is shown that the Noether identities yield the same conservation laws as the Bianchi identities, and the Papapetrou method is used to develop the propagation equations and the force law. The equations are put in the nonrelativistic limit and the 3-vector formulation is displayed.  相似文献

Differential conservation laws for quantum mechanical operator fields are studied from a) some general point of view and b) to find the particle, momentum and energy conservation law, if the Hamiltonian isnot local as usually assumed. Concerning (b): If the interaction in a many body system is nonlocal, the particle current operator in the continuity equation has to be redefined. Physical properties of the interaction current are discussed. Similar nonlocal effects must be taken care of in the stress and energy current operator. Concerning (a): Besides the mentioned conservation laws there are arbitrary many other ones. In fact, for each arbitrary field a class of corresponding currents exists and vice versa, which together are related by a differential conservation law. Some physical aspects for defining current operators are given and discussed.  相似文献

The relativistic hydrodynamic equations derived from the energy-momentum conservation, are generalized to include the equation of the particle number. The influences of the latent heat and particle distribution on the spectrum are studied on the basis of the generalized formalism. It is shown that these influences should be included,in order to get a reasonable prediction for the formation of the quark matter.  相似文献

We consider a method for deriving relativistic two-body wave equations for fermions in the coordinate representation. The Lagrangian of the theory is reformulated by eliminating the mediating fields by means of covariant Green's functions. Then, the nonlocal interaction terms in the Lagrangian are reduced to local expressions which take into account retardation effects approximately. We construct the Hamiltonian and two-fermion states of the quantized theory, employing an unconventional “empty” vacuum state, and derive relativistic two-fermion wave equations. These equations are a generalization of the Breit equation for systems with scalar, pseudoscalar, vector, pseudovector and tensor coupling.  相似文献

Two nonlocal recursion operators are given, which yield explicit formulas for infinite hierarchies of symmetry generators and conservation laws for the two-dimensional Korteweg-de Vries equation. It is shown that the constants of the motion are in involution and that the symmetries commute.  相似文献
