We extend the scope of a former paper to vector bundle problems involving more than one vector bundle. As the main application, we obtain the solution of the well-known moduli problems of vector bundles associated with general quivers.  相似文献

Fourier-Mukai transforms for coherent systems on elliptic curves   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We determine all the Fourier–Mukai transforms for coherentsystems consisting of a vector bundle over an elliptic curveand a subspace of its global sections, showing that these transformsare indexed by positive integers. We prove that the naturalstability condition for coherent systems, which depends on aparameter, is preserved by these transforms for small and largevalues of the parameter. By means of the Fourier–Mukaitransforms we prove that certain moduli spaces of coherent systemscorresponding to small and large values of the parameter areisomorphic. Using these results we draw some conclusions aboutthe possible birational type of the moduli spaces. We provethat for a given degree d of the vector bundle and a given dimensionof the subspace of its global sections there are at most d differentpossible birational types for the moduli spaces.  相似文献

In this paper we approach the study of generalized theta linear series on moduli of vector bundles on curves via vector bundle techniques on abelian varieties.

We study a naturally defined class of vector bundles on a Jacobian, called Verlinde bundles, in order to obtain information about duality between theta functions and effective global and normal generation on these moduli spaces.

Let $X$ be a smooth projective curve over the field of complex numbers, and fix a homogeneous representation $\rho\colon \mathop{\rm GL}(r)\rightarrow \mathop{\rm GL}(V)$. Then one can associate to every vector bundle $E$ of rank $r$ over $X$ a vector bundle $E_\rho$ with fibre $V$. We would like to study triples $(E,L,\phi)$ where $E$ is a vector bundle of rank $r$ over $X$, $L$ is a line bundle over $X$, and $\phi\colon E_\rho\rightarrow L$ is a nontrivial homomorphism. This setup comprises well known objects such as framed vector bundles, Higgs bundles, and conic bundles. In this paper, we will formulate a general (parameter dependent) semistability concept for such triples, which generalizes the classical Hilbert--Mumford criterion, and we establish the existence of moduli spaces for the semistable objects. In the examples which have been studied so far, our semistability concept reproduces the known ones. Therefore, our results give in particular a unified construction for many moduli spaces considered in the literature.  相似文献

In Biswas and Raghavendra (Proc Indian Acad Sci (Math Sci) 103:41–71, 1993; Asian J Math 2:303–324, 1998), a parabolic determinant line bundle on a moduli space of stable parabolic bundles was constructed, along with a Hermitian structure on it. The construction of the Hermitian structure was indirect: The parabolic determinant line bundle was identified with the pullback of the determinant line bundle on a moduli space of usual vector bundles over a covering curve. The Hermitian structure on the parabolic determinant bundle was taken to be the pullback of the Quillen metric on the determinant line bundle on the moduli space of usual vector bundles. Here a direct construction of the Hermitian structure is given. For that we need to establish a version of the correspondence between the stable parabolic bundles and the Hermitian–Einstein connections in the context of conical metrics. Also, a recently obtained parabolic analog of Faltings’ criterion of semistability plays a crucial role.  相似文献

We consider a compact twistor space P and assume that there is a surface SP, which has degree one on twistor fibres and contains a twistor fibre F, e.g. P a LeBrun twistor space ([20], [18]). Similar to [6] and [5] we examine the restriction of an instanton bundle V equipped with a fixed trivialization along F to a framed vector bundle over (S, F). First we develope inspired by [13] a suitable deformation theory for vector bundles over an analytic space framed by a vector bundle over a subspace of arbitrary codimension. In the second section we describe the restriction as a smooth natural transformation into a fine moduli space. By considering framed U(r)‐instanton bundles as a real structure on framed instanton bundles over P, we show that the bijection between isomorphism classes of framed U(r)‐instanton bundles and isomorphism classes of framed vector bundles over (S, F) due to [5] is actually an isomorphism of moduli spaces.  相似文献

In this paper we prove that the moduli spaces of framed vector bundles over a surface X, satisfying certain conditions, admit a family of Poisson structures parametrized by the global sections of a certain line bundle on X. This generalizes to the case of framed vector bundles previous results obtained in [B2] for the moduli space of vector bundles over a Poisson surface. As a corollary of this result we prove that the moduli spaces of framed SU(r) – instantons on S4 = ℝ4 ∪ {∞} admit a natural holomorphic symplectic structure.  相似文献

Consider the moduli space of parabolic Higgs bundles (E, Φ) of rank two on ??1 such that the underlying holomorphic vector bundle for the parabolic vector bundle E is trivial. It is equipped with the natural involution defined by $ \left( {E,\varPhi } \right)\mapsto \left( {E,-\varPhi } \right) $ . We study the fixed point locus of this involution. In [GM], this moduli space with involution was identified with the moduli space of hyperpolygons equipped with a certain natural involution. Here we identify the fixed point locus with the moduli spaces of polygons in Minkowski 3-space. This identification yields information on the connected components of the fixed point locus.  相似文献

Let X be a smooth n-dimensional projective variety defined over and let L be a line bundle on X. In this paper we shall construct a moduli space parametrizing -cohomology L-twisted Higgs pairs, i.e., pairs where E is a vector bundle on X and . If we take , the canonical line bundle on X, the variety is canonically identified with the cotangent bundle of the smooth locus of the moduli space of stable vector bundles on X and, as such, it has a canonical symplectic structure. We prove that, in the general case, in correspondence to the choice of a non-zero section , one can define, in a natural way, a Poisson structure on . We also analyze the relations between this Poisson structure on and the canonical symplectic structure of the cotangent bundle to the smooth locus of the moduli space of parabolic bundles over X, with parabolic structure over the divisor D defined by the section s. These results generalize to the higher dimensional case similar results proved in [Bo1] in the case of curves. Received November 4, 1997; in final form May 28, 1998  相似文献

Let X be a compact Riemann surface. A quadratic pair on X consists of a holomorphic vector bundle with a quadratic form which takes values in a fixed line bundle. We show that the moduli spaces of quadratic pairs of rank 2 are connected under some constraints on their topological invariants. As an application of our results we determine the connected components of the SO0(2, 3)-character variety of X.  相似文献

We construct a holomorphic Hermitian line bundle over the moduli space of stable triples of the form (E1, E2,?), where E1 and E2 are holomorphic vector bundles over a fixed compact Riemann surfaceX, and?: E2 E1 is a holomorphic vector bundle homomorphism. The curvature of the Chern connection of this holomorphic Hermitian line bundle is computed. The curvature is shown to coincide with a constant scalar multiple of the natural Kähler form on the moduli space. The construction is based on a result of Quillen on the determinant line bundle over the space of Dolbeault operators on a fixed C Hermitian vector bundle over a compact Riemann surface.  相似文献

Let S be a ruled surface inside a smooth threefold W and let E be a vector bundle on a formal neighborhood of S. We find minimal conditions under which the local moduli space of E is finite dimensional and smooth. Moreover, we show that E is a flat limit of a flat family of vector bundles whose general element we describe explicitly.  相似文献

We consider smooth moduli spaces of semistable vector bundles of fixed rank and determinant on a compact Riemann surface X of genus at least 3. The choice of a Poincaré bundle for such a moduli space M induces an isomorphism between X and a component of the moduli space of semistable sheaves over M. We prove that \(\dim H^0(M,\, \text {End}({\mathcal {E}})\otimes TM)\,=\, 1\) for any vector bundle \(\mathcal {E}\) on M coming from this component. Furthermore, there are no nonzero integrable co-Higgs fields on \(\mathcal {E}\).  相似文献

We extend the notion of a parabolic vector bundle on a smooth curve to define generalized parabolic sheaves (GPS) on any integral projective curve X. We construct the moduli spacesM(X) of GPS of certain type onX. IfX is obtained by blowing up finitely many nodes inY then we show that there is a surjective birational morphism from M(X) to M (Y). In particular, we get partial desingularisations of the moduli of torsion-free sheaves on a nodal curveY.  相似文献

Let X be a projective curve of genus 2 over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 2. The Frobenius map on X induces a rational map on the moduli scheme of rank-2 bundles. We show that up to isomorphism, there is only one (up to tensoring by an order two line bundle) semi-stable vector bundle of rank 2 (with determinant equal to a theta characteristic) whose Frobenius pull-back is not semi-stable. The indeterminacy of the Frobenius map at this point can be resolved by introducing Higgs bundles.  相似文献

We study the moduli space of instantons on a simply connected, positive definite, closed four manifold by analyzing the classifying map of the index bundle of a family of Dirac operators parameterized by the moduli space. As an application, we compute the cohomology rings for the charge 1 and 2 moduli spaces in the rank stable limit.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to compute the Betti numbers of the moduli space ofparabolic vector bundles on a curve (see Seshadri [7], [8] and Mehta & Seshadri [4]), in the case where every semi-stable parabolic bundle is necessarily stable. We do this by generalizing the method of Atiyah and Bott [1] in the case of moduli of ordinary vector bundles. Recall that (see Seshadri [7]) the underlying topological space of the moduli of parabolic vector bundles is the space of equivalence classes of certain unitary representations of a discrete subgroup Γ which is a lattice in PSL (2,R). (The lattice Γ need not necessarily be co-compact). While the structure of the proof is essentially the same as that of Atiyah and Bott, there are some difficulties of a technical nature in the parabolic case. For instance the Harder-Narasimhan stratification has to be further refined in order to get the connected strata. These connected strata turn out to have different codimensions even when they are part of the same Harder-Narasimhan strata. If in addition to ‘stable = semistable’ the rank and degree are coprime, then the moduli space turns out to be torsion-free in its cohomology. The arrangement of the paper is as follows. In § 1 we prove the necessary basic results about algebraic families of parabolic bundles. These are generalizations of the corresponding results proved by Shatz [9]. Following this, in § 2 we generalize the analytical part of the argument of Atiyah and Bott (§ 14 of [1]). Finally in § 3 we show how to obtain an inductive formula for the Betti numbers of the moduli space. We illustrate our method by computing explicitly the Betti numbers in the special case of rank = 2, and one parabolic point.  相似文献
