Wave processes in an isotropic hollow cylinder located in an inhomogeneous prestress field are studied. The dispersion equation of the problem is investigated, and some features of the structure of the dispersion curves in relation to the type of prestressed state are identified. Formulas describing the behavior of the dispersion curves in the neighborhood of radial resonances are derived using the perturbation method.  相似文献

The problem of nonlinear wave dynamics of a fluid-saturated porous medium is investigated. The mathematical model proposed is based on the classical Frenkel--Biot--Nikolaevskiy theory concerning elastic wave propagation and includes mass, momentum, energy conservation laws, as well as rheological and thermodynamic relations. The model describes nonlinear, dispersive, and dissipative medium. To solve the system of differential equations, an asymptotic modified two-scales method is developed and a Cauchy problem for initial equations system is transformed to a Cauchy problem for nonlinear generalized Korteweg--de Vries--Burgers equation for modulated quick wave amplitudes and an inhomogeneous set of equations for slow background motion. Stationary solutions of the derived evolutionary equation that have been constructed numerically reflect different regimes of elastic wave attenuation: diffusive, oscillating, and soliton-like.  相似文献

湍流场中二阶速度加速度结构函数 (velocity-acceleration structure function, VASF) 被认为与尺度间能量或者拟涡能的传递相关,其正负表明传递的方向. 三维湍流中,能量从大尺度向 小尺度传递,VASF 为负. 在二维湍流中,能量反向传递到大尺度,拟涡能正向传递到小尺度,因此理论上 VASF 无论在反向能量级串区还是在正向拟 涡能级串区均为正. 然而,相对于三维湍流中 VASF 的充分研究,二维湍流中 VASF 的正负性迄今尚无实验或数值模拟数据验证. 本文通过三维二维湍流中普适的公式推导,指出在空间非均匀湍流场中,VASF 除了尺度间传递,还受到非均匀项的影响. 一种常见的空间非均匀湍流场是在实验研究中常用的风洞或水洞中,湍流发生装置 (如栅格) 后的湍流. 该流场中,湍流强度随下游位置增大而逐渐衰减,这种衰减则带来空间上的非均匀性. 本文在基于竖直流动皂膜的二维衰减湍流场中,利用拉格朗日粒子追踪法测得在拟涡能级串区的 VASF,并分析各部分的影响. 结果表明,虽然尺度间传递项为正值,但由于衰减带来的非均匀项为负值,使得 VASF 的值为负,使之失去了表征拟涡能传递方向的意义. 因此,在类似风洞、水洞、水槽等衰减流场中对 VASF 的讨论不应忽略非均匀项. 最后对与 VASF 密切相关的弥散过程进行分析,发现后期弥散过程变慢是由于负的 VASF 导致.  相似文献

Some properties of one-dimensional potential waves are discussed. In particular it is shown that wave equations of this kind admit an infinity of local conservation laws with densities and fluxes depending on the fields only. This set of conserved quantities has a simple structure. In some cases this structure can be made explicite by means of a principle of conserved flux.A close relation between this set of conserved quantities and solutions of the hodograph equations has been found.  相似文献

The paper deals with the effective linear elastic behaviour of random media subjected to inhomogeneous mean fields. The effective constitutive laws are known to be non-local. Therefore, the effective elastic moduli show dispersion, i.e1 they depend on the “wave vector” k of the mean field. In this paper the well-known Hashin-Shtrikman bounds (1962) for the Lamé parameters of isotropic multi-phase mixtures are generalized to inhomogeneous mean fields k ≠ 0. The bounds involve two-point correlations of random elastic moduli. In the limit k → ∞ the bounds converge to the exact result. The interest is focussed on composites with cell structures and on binary mixtures. To illustrate the results, numerical evaluations are carried out for a binary cell material composed of nearly spherical grains of equal size.  相似文献

The effect of microstructure on the rheology of clay/polymer nanocomposites is investigated using dispersions of organically treated clay in nearly Newtonian poly(dimethylsiloxane). Degree of dispersion and floc size are altered by using two different dispersion procedures and by changing the shear history. The scaling for dynamic moduli of attractive colloids applies, except for a possible relaxation mechanism at very low frequencies. The time to reach the crossover at a given frequency is found to be extremely sensitive to the dispersion procedure used. Hydrodynamic and elastic components of the steady state stress, on the other hand, evolve in a very similar fashion for the different systems. Although the relaxation times of the elastic stress components change drastically with flow-induced changes in structure, the dispersion process hardly has an effect at all. Intermittent start-up flows in the forward and reverse directions show that anisotropy persists long after the flow has been arrested, even at shear rates where no large reversible flocs are present. The degree of dispersion only had a limited effect on the anisotropy. Finally, the effect of shear on structure recovery has been studied. Very low shear rates are found to increase the rate of recovery, even for small strains.  相似文献

One considers a linear thermoelastic composite medium, which consists of a homogeneous matrix containing a statistically inhomogeneous random set of heterogeneities with various interface effects and subjected to essentially inhomogeneous loading by the fields of the stresses, temperature, and body forces (e.g., for a centrifugal load). The general integral equations connecting the stress and strain fields in the point being considered and the surrounding points are obtained for the random and deterministic fields of inclusions. The method is based on a centering procedure of subtraction from both sides of a new initial integral equation their statistical averages obtained without any auxiliary assumptions such as the effective field hypothesis (EFH), which is implicitly exploited in the known centering methods. The new initial integral equation is presented in a general form of perturbations introduced by the heterogeneities and taking into account both the spring-layer model and coherent imperfect one. Some particular cases, asymptotic representations, and simplifications of proposed equations as well as a model example demonstrating the essence of two-step statistical average scheme are considered. General integral equations for the doubly and triply periodical structure composites are also obtained.  相似文献

Under investigation in this paper is a derivative nonlinear Schrödinger equation with variable coefficients, which governs the propagation of the subpicosecond soliton pulses in inhomogeneous optical fibers. Through the nonisospectral Kaup–Newell scheme, the Lax pair is constructed with some constraints on the variable coefficients. Under the integrable conditions, bright one- and multi-soliton-like solutions are derived via the Hirota method. By suitably choosing the dispersion coefficient function, several types of inhomogeneous solitons are obtained in, respectively: (1) exponentially decreasing dispersion profile, (2) linearly decreasing dispersion profile, (3) exponentially increasing dispersion profile, and (4) periodically fluctuating dispersion profile. The intensity of the inhomogeneous soliton can be controlled by means of modifying the loss/gain term. Asymptotic analysis of the two-soliton-like solution is performed, which shows that the changes of the widths, amplitudes, and energies before and after the collision are completely caused by the variable coefficients, but have nothing to do with the collision between two soliton-like envelopes. Through suitable choices of variable coefficients, figures are plotted to illustrate the collision behavior between two inhomogeneous solitons, which has some potential applications in the real optical communication systems.  相似文献

The present work deals with the possibility of propagation of torsional surface wave in an inhomogeneous crustal layer over an inhomogeneous half space. The layer has inhomogeneity which varies linearly with depth whereas the inhomogeneous half space exhibits inhomogeneity of three types, namely, exponential, quadratic, and hyperbolic discussed separately. The dispersion equation is deduced for each case in a closed form. For a layer over a homogeneous half space, the dispersion equation agrees with the equation of the classical case. It is observed that the inhomogeneity factor due to linear variation in density in the inhomogeneous crustal layer decreases as the phase velocity increases, while the inhomogeneity factor in rigidity has the reverse effect on the phase velocity.  相似文献

The constitutive equations of nonlinear mechanics of a prestressed electrothermoelastic continuum are linearized in the framework of the theory of small strains imposed on finite strains. Simple and convenient-to-operate formulas of linearized constitutive equations and equations of motion of the mediumare obtained. A model of electrothermoelastic half-space with inhomogeneous coating, which is a structure of functionally graded layers, is proposed. It is assumed that each of the medium components is under the action of initial mechanical strains and initial temperature, and the materials of the medium components are orthotropic pyroelectric materials of hexagonal crystal system of class 6 mm. The integral representation of the mediumwave field is constructed by a hybrid numerical-analytical method based on a combination of analytical solutions and numerical schemes used to reconstruct the Green function for the inhomogeneous components of the coating and the matrix approach used to satisfy the boundary conditions.  相似文献

We derive light bullet solution of a (3 \(+\) 1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation with inhomogeneous diffraction/dispersion and nonlinearity in presence of the parity-time symmetric potential. All characteristic parameters such as amplitude, width, and phase of solution are adapted to the diffraction/dispersion variation. The broadening and compression of LB are studied in the exponential diffraction/dispersion-decreasing medium and the periodic-modulated system. Moreover, the phase changes of light bullet in two kinds of systems are also illustrated.  相似文献

Summary  We consider a linearly thermoelastic composite medium, which consists of a homogeneous matrix containing a statistically inhomogeneous random set of ellipsoidal uncoated or coated inclusions, where the concentration of the inclusions is a function of the coordinates (functionally graded material). Effective properties, such as compliance and thermal expansion coefficient, as well as first statistical moments of stresses in the components are estimated for the general case of inhomogeneity of the thermoelastic inclusion properties. The micromechanical approach is based on the Green function technique as well as on the generalization of the multiparticle effective field method (MEFM), previously proposed for the research of statistically homogeneous random structure composites. The hypothesis of effective field homogeneity near the inclusions is used; nonlocal effects of overall constitutive relations are not considered. Nonlocal dependences of local effective thermoelastic properties as well as those of conditional averages of the stresses in the components on the concentration of the inclusions are demonstrated. In this paper, the interior transmission problem for the non absorbing, anisotropic and inhomogeneous elasticity is investigated. The direct scattering problem for the penetrable inhomogeneous, anisotropic and nondissipative scatterer is first studied and the existence and uniqueness of its solution are established. In the sequel, the interior transmission problem in its classical and weak form is presented and suitable variational formulations of it are settled. An algorithm is proposed to determine the effective deformation properties and stress-strain state of particulate composite materials with physically nonlinear components and complex stress state. The laws that govern the deformation of particulate composites are studied. A particulate composite is considered a two-component material of random structure. Its effective properties are determined by conditional averaging. The nonlinear equations that incorporate the physical nonlinearity of the components are solved by the method of successive approximations. The relationship between macrostresses and macrostrains is established. Some consistency problems existing in continuum field theories are briefly reviewed. Three arts of consistency problems are clarified based on the renewed basic laws for polar continua. The first art discusses the consistency problems between the basic laws for polar continua. The second art discusses the consistency problems between the basic laws for polar continua and for other nonpolar continua. The third art discusses the consistency problems between the basic laws for micropolar continuum theories and the dynamical equations for rigid body. The results presented here can help us to get a deeper understanding the structure of the basic laws for various continuum theories and the interrelations between them. In the meantime, these results obtained show clearly that the consistency problems could not be solved in the framework of traditional basic laws for continuum field theories.  相似文献
