An asymmetric quasistationary problem for a strip with initial stresses is formulated and solved. Resolving differential equations are derived and then reduced to five functional equations by the Hankel integral transform. Two of these equations are reduced to the Fredholm integral equations of the second kind, which are solved by the method of degenerated kernels. The normal and tangential stresses are plotted versus the elongation.  相似文献

This paper considers a frictionless receding contact problem between an anisotropic elastic layer and an anisotropic elastic half plane, when the two bodies are pressed together by means of a rigid circular stamp. The problem is reduced to a system of singular integral equations in which the contact stresses and lengths are the unknown functions. Numerical results for the contact stresses and the contact lengths are given by depending on various fibre orientations.  相似文献

The contact problem for a prestressed elastic strip reinforced with equally spaced elastic plates is considered. The Fourier integral transform is used to construct an influence function of a unit concentrated force acting on the infinite elastic strip with one edge constrained. The transmission of forces from the thin elastic plates to the prestressed strip is analyzed. On the assumption that the beam bending model and the uniaxial stress model are valid for an elastic plate subjected to both vertical and horizontal forces, the problem is mathematically formulated as a system of integro-differential equations for unknown contact stresses. This system is reduced to an infinite system of algebraic equations solved by the reduction method. The effect of the initial stresses on the distribution of contact forces in the strip under tension and compression is studied  相似文献

This paper examines the problem of finding thermal stresses, caused by a symmetric indentation of a line crack by an inclusion in an infinite isotropic elastic heat conducting solid. The thermal and elastic problems are reduced to a system of triple integral equations. In each case the solution of the triple integral equations is obtained in a closed form. The expressions for the stress intensity factor at the edge of the line crack, the strain energy density function and the resultant pressure applied to the inclusion are obtained. The expression for the displacement component is also obtained. Finally the results for the physical quantities are displayed graphically.  相似文献

A mathematical model of partial closure of a crack in a perforated isotropic medium with a system of rectilinear foreign inclusions is constructed. Such a medium can be interpreted as an unbounded plate reinforced by a regular system of ribs whose cross sections are shaped as narrow rectangles. The medium is assumed to be attenuated by a periodic system of circular holes and straight-line cracks. Determination of unknown contact stresses and contact zone sizes is reduced to solving a singular integral equation, which is transformed by an algebraization procedure to a system of nonlinear algebraic equations solved by the method of consecutive approximations.  相似文献

The boundary integral equation method is developed to study three-dimensional asymptotic singular stress fields at vertices of a pyramidal notch or inclusion in an isotropic elastic space. Two-dimensional boundary integral equations are used for the infinite body with pyramidal notches and inclusions when either stresses or displacements are specified on its surface. Applying the Mellin integral transformation reduces the problem to one-dimensional singular integral equations over a closed, piece-wise smooth line. Using quadrature formulas for regular and singular integrals with Hilbert and logarithmic kernels, these integral equations are reduced to a homogeneous system of linear algebraic equations. Setting its determinant to zero provides a characteristic equation for the determination of the stress singularity power. Numerical results are obtained and compared against known eigenvalues from the literature for an infinite region with a conical notch or inclusion, for a Fichera vertex, and for a half-space with a wedge-shaped notch or inclusion.  相似文献

In the same way as shearing stresses for curved beams made of one material, the problem of evaluating the shearing stresses of composite curved beams is also reduced to one of solving the integral equations. Solving directly two integral equations can derive the formulae of shearing stresses, which satisfy not only the equilibrium equations but also the static boundary conditions on the boundary surfaces of the beams. The present analysis will be used to investigate the shearing stresses of a cantilevered curved beam made of two materials, which is loaded by a concentrated force at its free end. The comparison between the numerical results of shearing stresses obtained using the equations developed in this paper and a three-dimensional finite element analysis shows excellent agreement.  相似文献

Summary  Transient stresses around two parallel cracks in an infinite elastic medium are investigated in the present paper. The shape of the cracks is assumed to be square. Incoming shock stress waves impinge upon the two cracks normal to tzheir surfaces. The mixed boundary value equations with respect to stresses and displacements are reduced to two sets of dual integral equations in the Laplace transform domain using the Fourier transform technique. These equations are solved by expanding the differences in the crack surface displacements in a double series of a function that is equal to zero outside the cracks. Unknown coefficients in the series are calculated using the Schmidt method. Stress intensity factors defined in the Laplace transform domain are inverted numerically to the physical space. Numerical calculations are carried out for transient dynamic stress intensity factors under the assumption that the shape of the upper crack is identical to that of the lower crack. Using Green’s functions, the extended general displacement solutions of a three-dimensional crack problem in anisotropic electro-magneto-elastic (EME) bimaterials under extended loads are analyzed by the boundary element method. Then, the crack problem is reduced to solving a set of hypersingular integral equations (HIE) coupled with boundary integral equations. The singularity of the extended displacement discontinuities around the crack front terminating at the interface is analyzed by the main-part analysis method of HIE, and the exact analytical solutions of the extended singular stresses and extended stress intensity factors (SIFs) near the crack front in anisotropic EME bimaterials are given. Also, the numerical method of the HIE for a rectangular crack subjected to extended loads is put forward with the extended crack opening dislocation approximated by the product of basic density functions and polynomials. At last, numerical solutions of the extended SIFs of some examples are obtained.  相似文献

The axisymmetric contact problem of a rigid punch indentation into an elastic circular plate with a fixed side and a stress-free face is considered. The problem is solved by a method developed for finite bodies which is based on the properties of a biorthogonal system of vector functions. The problem is reduced to a Volterra integral equation (IE) of the first kind for the contract pressure function and to a system of two Volterra IE of the first kind for functions describing the derivative of the displacement of the plate upper surface outside the punch and the normal (or tangential) stress on the plate lower fixed surface. The last two functions are sought as the sum of a trigonometric series and a power-law function with a root singularity. The obtained ill-conditioned systems of linear algebraic equations are regularized by introducing small parameters and have a stable solution. A method for solving the Volterra IE is given. The contact pressure functions, the normal and tangential stresses on the plate fixed surface, and the dimensionless indentation force are found. Several examples of a plane punch computation are given.  相似文献

The problem of subsonic ideal-gas flow over two plane cascades of thin lightly loaded blades in relative motion is solved within the framework of the linear theory of small perturbations. By means of the method of integral equations [1] the problem is reduced to an infinite system of singular integral equations for the harmonic components of the oscillations in the distribution of the unknown aerodynamic load on the blades. The regularized system of integral equations for a finite number of harmonics is solved numerically by a collocation method.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 3, pp. 168–175, May–June, 1987.  相似文献

We develop an analytical approach to study the wave process arising in an elastic half-space because of harmonic vibrations applied on its free surface by a (periodic) distribution of rigid punches. By assuming perfect coupling between punches and half-space, the (in-plane) propagation problem is firstly reduced to a 2×2 system of integral equations for the contact stresses. Then, in the frequency range implying the so-called one-mode (far-field) propagation, suitable mild approximations on the kernels lead to some related auxiliary systems of integral equations, which are independent on frequency and can be solved analytically. The explicit formulas thus obtained are reflected through some figures and enable us to discuss the energetic properties of the wave process with respect to frequency. A direct numerical treatment of the original system of (exact) integral equations confirms the precision of the analytical solution.  相似文献

In this paper, the stress-intensity factors for two collinear cracks in a composite bonded by an isotropic and an anisotropic half-plane were calculated. The cracks are paralell to the interface, and the crack surfaces are loaded by uniform shear stresses. By using Fourier transform, the mixed boundary value problem is reduced to a set of singular integral equations. For solving the integral equations, the crack surface displacements are expanded in triangular series and the unknown coefficients in the series are determined by the Schmidt method. The stress intensity factors for the cracks in the boron-fibre plastics and aluminium joined composite and in carbon-fibre reinforced plastics were calculated numerically.  相似文献

The method of direct integration of differential equilibrium and compatibility equations in stresses is proposed for three-dimensional quasistatic elastic and thermoelastic problems for space and a halfspace. A closed system of equations is formulated to determine six components of the stress tensor. These problems are solved with the help of the integral Fourier transformation  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of bonded dissimilar, homogeneous media with a functionally graded interlayer, weakened by two offset interfacial cracks under antiplane deformation. Based on the Fourier integral transform method, formulation of the crack problem is reduced to a system of Cauchy-type singular integral equations. The mode III stress intensity factors are defined and evaluated in terms of the solution to the integral equations. Numerical results include the variations of stress intensity factors versus offset distance between the two cracks for various combinations of material and other geometric parameters of the bonded system, addressing the interaction of the two neighboring interfacial cracks spaced apart by the graded interlayer.  相似文献

This paper investigates transient stresses around a cylindrical crack in an infinite elastic medium subject to impact loads. Incoming stress waves resulting from the impact load impinge on the crack in a direction perpendicular to the crack axis. In the Laplace transform domain, by means of the Fourier transform technique, the mixed boundary value equations with respect to stresses and displacements were reduced to two sets of dual integral equations. To solve the equations, the differences in the crack surface displacements were expanded in a series of functions that are zero outside the crack. The boundary conditions for the crack were satisfied by means of the Schmidt method. Stress intensity factors were defined in the Laplace transform domain and were numerically inverted to physical space. Numerical calculations were carried out for the dynamic stress intensity factors corresponding to some typical shapes assumed for the cylindrical crack.  相似文献

We use the Betti theorem to obtain the integral equations of the dynamic theory of elasticity for a multilayer convex body with an arbitrary elastic anisotropy of layers containing plane infinitely thin cracks. The systems of integral equations relate the displacement jumps to the stresses on the crack lips and are stated numerically in terms of Fourier transforms. For the case of plane-parallel layers with a set of plane cracks on the interfaces between the layers, we propose a simple numerical-analytic method for constructing the Fourier symbol, i.e., the matrix of the kernel of the system of integral equations. The method is stable for an arbitrary combination of continuous and discontinuous conditions on the layer boundaries. Numerical examples are given for a packet of four heterogeneous anisotropic layers.  相似文献

The plane elastic problem for a semi-strip with a transverse crack is investigated. The initial problem is reduced to a one-dimensional continuous problem by use of an integral transformation method with a generalized scheme. The one-dimensional problem is first formulated as a vector boundary problem, and then reduced to a system of three singular integral equations(SIEs). The system is solved by use of an orthogonal polynomial method and a special generalized method. The contribution of this work is the consideration of kernel fixed singularities in solving the system. The crack length and its location relative to the semi-strip's lateral sides are investigated to simplify the problem's statement. This simplification reduces the initial problem to a system of two SIEs.  相似文献
