Let E and F be Banach spaces. A linear operator from E to F is said to be strictly singular if, for any subspace Q ? E, the restriction of A to Q is not an isomorphism. A compactness criterion for any strictly singular operator from Lp to Lq is found. There exists a strictly singular but not superstrictly singular operator on Lp, provided that p ≠ 2.  相似文献

Let λK m,n be a complete bipartite multigraph with two partite sets having m and n vertices, respectively. A K p,q -factorization of λK m,n is a set of edge-disjoint K p,q -factors of λK m,n which partition the set of edges of λK m,n . When p = 1 and q is a prime number, Wang, in his paper [On K 1,q -factorization of complete bipartite graph, Discrete Math., 126: (1994), 359-364], investigated the K 1,q -factorization of K m,n and gave a sufficient condition for such a factorization to exist. In papers [K 1,k -factorization of complete bipartite graphs, Discrete Math., 259: 301-306 (2002),; K p,q -factorization of complete bipartite graphs, Sci. China Ser. A-Math., 47: (2004), 473-479], Du and Wang extended Wang’s result to the case that p and q are any positive integers. In this paper, we give a sufficient condition for λK m,n to have a K p,q -factorization. As a special case, it is shown that the necessary condition for the K p,q -factorization of λK m,n is always sufficient when p : q = k : (k + 1) for any positive integer k.  相似文献

Call a sequence of k Boolean variables or their negations a k-tuple. For a set V of n Boolean variables, let T k (V) denote the set of all 2 k n k possible k-tuples on V. Randomly generate a set C of k-tuples by including every k-tuple in T k (V) independently with probability p, and let Q be a given set of q “bad” tuple assignments. An instance I = (C,Q) is called satisfiable if there exists an assignment that does not set any of the k-tuples in C to a bad tuple assignment in Q. Suppose that θ, q > 0 are fixed and ε = ε(n) > 0 be such that εlnn/lnlnn→∞. Let k ≥ (1 + θ) log2 n and let \({p_0} = \frac{{\ln 2}}{{q{n^{k - 1}}}}\). We prove that

Let (F k,n ) n and (L k,n )n be the k-Fibonacci and k-Lucas sequence, respectively, which satisfies the same recursive relation a n+1 = ka n + a n?1 with initial values F k,0 = 0, F k,1 = 1, L k,0 = 2 and L k,1 = k. A subgroup K of G is Mp-supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup B of G such that G = KB and TB < G for every maximal subgroup T of K with |K: T| = pα. In this paper we prove the following: Let p be a prime divisor of |G| and let H be ap-nilpotent subgroup having a Sylow p-subgroup of G. Suppose that H has a subgroup D with Dp ≠ 1 and |H: D| = pα. Then G is p-nilpotent if and only if every subgroup T of H with |T| = |D| is Mp-supplemented in G and NG(Tp)/CG(Tp) is a p-group.  相似文献

For a vector measure ν having values in a real or complex Banach space and \({p \in}\) [1, ∞), we consider L p (ν) and \({L_{w}^{p}(\nu)}\), the corresponding spaces of p-integrable and scalarly p-integrable functions. Given μ, a Rybakov measure for ν, and taking q to be the conjugate exponent of p, we construct a μ-Köthe function space E q (μ) and show it is σ-order continuous when p > 1. In this case, for the associate spaces we prove that L p (ν) ×  = E q (μ) and \({E_q(\mu)^\times = L_w^p(\nu)}\). It follows that \({L_p (\nu) ^{**} = L_w^p (\nu)}\). A subgroup K of G is M p -supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup B of G such that G = KB and TB < G for every maximal subgroup T of K with |K: T| = p α. We study the structure of the chief factor of G by using M p -supplemented subgroups and generalize the results of Monakhov and Shnyparkov by involving the relevant results about the p-modular subgroup O p (G) of G.  相似文献

It is proved that, if G is a finite group with a nontrivial normal 2-subgroup Q such that G/Q ~= A 7 and an element of order 5 from G acts freely on Q, then the extension G over Q is splittable, Q is an elementary abelian group, and Q is the direct product of minimal normal subgroups of G each of which is isomorphic, as a G/Q-module, to one of the two 4-dimensional irreducible GF(2)A 7-modules that are conjugate with respect to an outer automorphism of the group A 7.  相似文献

Results on the solvability of boundary integral equations on a plane contour with a peak obtained in collaboration with V.G. Maz’ya are developed. Earlier, it was proved that, on a contour Γ with an outward peak, the operator of the boundary equation of the Dirichlet boundary value problem maps the space ? p, β + 1 (Γ) continuously onto \(\mathcal{N}_{p,\beta } (\Gamma )\). The norm of a function in ? p, β (Γ) is defined as
, provided that the peak is at the origin. In this case, the norms on the spaces \(\mathcal{N}_{p,\beta }^ \mp (\Gamma )\) are defined by
, where q ± are the intersection points of Γ with the circle {z: |z| = |q|} and δ > 0 is a fixed small number. On a contour with an inward peak, the operator of the boundary equation of the Dirichlet problem continuously maps ? p, β + 1 (Γ) onto ? p, β(Γ), where ? p, β(Γ) is the direct sum of \(\mathcal{N}_{p,\beta }^ + (\Gamma )\) (Γ) and the space
(Γ) of functions on Γ of the form p(z) = Σ k = 0 m t (k)Rez k with the parameter m = [μ ? β ? p ?1]. The operator I ? 2W of the boundary integral equation of plane elasticity theory, where W is the elastic double-layer potential, is considered. The main result is that the operator I ? 2W continuously maps the space ? p, β + 1 × ? p, β + 1(Γ) to the space \(\mathcal{N}_{p,\beta }^ - \times \mathcal{N}_{p,\beta }^ - (\Gamma )\).
On a contour with an inward peak, the obtained representation of the operator I ? 2W and theorems on the boundedness of auxiliary integral operators imply that the images of vector-valued functions from ? p, β + 1 × ? p, β + 1(Γ) have components representable as sums of functions from the spaces \(\mathcal{N}_{p,\beta }^ - (\Gamma )\)(Γ) and ? p, β(Γ).  相似文献

Let g be the finite dimensional simple Lie algebra of type An, and let U? = U q (g,Λ) and U = U q (g,Q) be the quantum groups defined over the weight lattice and over the root lattice, respectively. In this paper, we find two algebraically independent central elements in U? for all n ≥ 2 and give an explicit formula of the Casimir elements for the quantum group U? = U q (g,Λ), which corresponds to the Casimir element of the enveloping algebra U(g). Moreover, for n = 2 we give explicitly generators of the center subalgebras of the quantum groups U? = U q (g,Λ) and U = U q (g,Q).  相似文献

We calculate the ordinal L p index defined in [3] for Rosenthal’s space X p , \({\ell_p}\) and \({\ell_2}\). We show that an infinite-dimensional subspace of L p \({(2 < p < \infty)}\) non-isomorphic to \({\ell_2}\) embeds in \({\ell_p}\) if and only if its ordinal index is the minimal possible. We also give a sufficient condition for a \({\mathcal{L}_p}\) subspace of \({\ell_p \oplus \ell_2}\) to be isomorphic to X p .  相似文献

We introduce (q1, q2)-quasimetric spaces and examine their properties. Covering mappings between (q1, q2)-quasimetric spaces are investigated. Sufficient conditions for the existence of a coincidence point of two mappings acting between (q1, q2)-quasimetric spaces such that one is a covering mapping and the other satisfies the Lipschitz condition are obtained.  相似文献

We consider a torsion-free nilpotent R p -group, the p-rank of whose quotient by the commutant is equal to 1 and either the rank of the center by the commutant is infinite or the rank of the group by the commutant is finite. We prove that the group is constructivizable if and only if it is isomorphic to the central extension of some divisible torsion-free constructive abelian group by some torsion-free constructive abelian R p -group with a computably enumerable basis and a computable system of commutators. We obtain similar criteria for groups of that type as well as divisible groups to be positively defined. We also obtain sufficient conditions for the constructivizability of positively defined groups.  相似文献

Convergence of the greedy algorithm in Walsh system in L p , p > 1 is studied. It is proved that there exists a function in L p , 1 < p < 2, with greedy algorithm not converging in measure to that function. A continuous function with divergent in L p , p > 2, greedy algorithm is constructed and sufficient conditions for convergence of the greedy algorithm in L p , p > 1 are given.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. The prime graph Γ(G) of G is defined as follows. The vertices of Γ(G) are the primes dividing the order of G and two distinct vertices p and p′ are joined by an edge if there is an element in G of order pp′. We denote by k(Γ(G)) the number of isomorphism classes of finite groups H satisfying Γ(G) = Γ(H). Given a natural number r, a finite group G is called r-recognizable by prime graph if k(Γ(G)) =  r. In Shen et al. (Sib. Math. J. 51(2):244–254, 2010), it is proved that if p is an odd prime, then B p (3) is recognizable by element orders. In this paper as the main result, we show that if G is a finite group such that Γ(G) = Γ(B p (3)), where p > 3 is an odd prime, then \({G\cong B_p(3)}\) or C p (3). Also if Γ(G) = Γ(B 3(3)), then \({G\cong B_3(3), C_3(3), D_4(3)}\), or \({G/O_2(G)\cong {\rm Aut}(^2B_2(8))}\). As a corollary, the main result of the above paper is obtained.  相似文献

A bounded linear operator T on a Banach space X is called an (m, p)-isometry if it satisfies the equation \({\sum_{k=0}^{m}(-1)^{k} {m \choose k}\|T^{k}x\|^{p}=0}\) , for all \({x \in X}\) . In this paper we study the structure which underlies the second parameter of (m, p)-isometric operators. We concentrate on determining when an (m, p)-isometry is a (μ, q)-isometry for some pair (μ, q). We also extend the definition of (m, p)-isometry, to include p = ∞ and study basic properties of these (m, ∞)-isometries.  相似文献

We investigate the nonlinear Schrödinger equation iu t u+|u| p?1 u = 0with 1+ 4/N < p < 1+ 4/N?2 (when N = 1, 2, 1 + 4/N < p < ∞) in energy space H 1 and study the divergent property of infinite-variance and nonradial solutions. If \(M{\left( u \right)^{\frac{{1 - {s_C}}}{{{s_C}}}}}E\left( u \right) \prec M{\left( Q \right)^{\frac{{1 - {s_C}}}{{{s_C}}}}}E\left( Q \right)\) and \(\left\| {{u_0}} \right\|_2^{\frac{{1 - {s_c}}}{{{s_c}}}}\left\| {\nabla {u_0}} \right\|_2^{\frac{{1 - {s_c}}}{{{s_c}}}}{\left\| {\nabla Q} \right\|_2}\), then either u(t) blows up in finite forward time or u(t) exists globally for positive time and there exists a time sequence t n → +∞ such that \({\left\| {\nabla u\left( {{t_n}} \right)} \right\|_2} \to + \infty \). Here Q is the ground state solution of ?(1?s c )QQ+Q p?1 Q = 0. A similar result holds for negative time. This extend the result of the 3D cubic Schrödinger equation obtained by Holmer to the general mass-supercritical and energy-subcritical case.  相似文献
