The crystal and magnetic structures of the hybrid organic-inorganic layer compound Fe[(CD3PO3)(D2O)] have been studied by neutron powder diffraction as a function of temperature down to 1.5 K. The neutron diffraction pattern recorded at 200 K shows that the fully deuterated compound crystallizes in one of the two known forms of the undeuterated Fe[(CH3PO3)(H2O)]. The crystal structure is orthorhombic, space group Pmn21, with the following unit-cell parameters: a=5.7095(1) Å, b=8.8053(3) Å and c=4.7987(1) Å; Z=2. The crystal structure remains unchanged on cooling from 200 to 1.5 K. Moreover, at low temperature, Fe[(CD3PO3)(D2O)] shows a commensurate magnetic structure (k=(0,0,0)). As revealed by bulk susceptibility measurements on Fe[(CH3PO3)(H2O)], the magnetic structure corresponds to a canted antiferromagnet with a critical temperature TN=25 K. Neutron powder diffraction reveals that below TN=23.5 K the iron magnetic moments in Fe[(CD3PO3)(D2O)] are antiferromagnetically coupled and oriented along the b-axis, perpendicular to the inorganic layers. No ferromagnetic component is observable in the neutron powder diffraction experiment, due to its too small value (<0.1μB).  相似文献

The reaction between PuO2 and SeO2 under mild hydrothermal conditions results in the formation of Pu(SeO3)2 as brick-red prisms. This compound adopts the Ce(SeO3)2 structure type, and consists of one-dimensional chains of edge-sharing [PuO8] distorted bicapped trigonal prisms linked by [SeO3] units into a three-dimensional network. Crystallographic data: Pu(SeO3)2, monoclinic, space group P21/n, a=6.960(1) Å, b=10.547(2) Å, c=7.245(1) Å, β=106.880(9)°, V=508.98(17) Å3, Z=4 (T=193 K), R(F)=2.92% for 83 parameters with 1140 reflections with I>2σ(I). Magnetic susceptibility data for Pu(SeO3)2 are linear from 35 to 320 K and yield an effective moment of 2.71(5) μB and a Weiss constant of −500(5) K.  相似文献

Fluorination of the parent oxide, BaFeO3−δ, with polyvinylidine fluoride gives rise to a cubic compound with a=4.0603(4) Å at 298 K. 57Fe Mössbauer spectra confirmed that all the iron is present as Fe3+. Neutron diffraction data showed complete occupancy of the anion sites, indicating a composition BaFeO2F, with a large displacement of the iron off-site. The magnetic ordering temperature was determined as TN=645±5 K. Neutron diffraction data at 4.2 K established G-type antiferromagnetism with a magnetic moment per Fe3+ ion of 3.95 μB. However, magnetisation measurements indicated the presence of a weak ferromagnetic moment that is assigned to the canting of the antiferromagnetic structure. 57Fe Mössbauer spectra in the temperature range 10-300 K were fitted with a model of fluoride ion distribution that retains charge neutrality of the perovskite unit cell.  相似文献

The compound CeAu0.28Ge1.72 crystallizes in the ThSi2 structure type in the tetragonal space group I41/amd with lattice parameters a=b=4.2415(6) Å c=14.640(3) Å. CeAu0.28Ge1.72 is a polar intermetallic compound having a three-dimensional Ge/Au polyanion sub-network filled with Ce atoms. The magnetic susceptibility data show Curie-Weiss law behavior above 50 K. The compound orders ferromagnetically at ∼8 K with estimated magnetic moment of 2.48 μB/Ce. The ferromagnetic ordering is confirmed by the heat capacity data which show a rise at ∼8 K. The electronic specific heat coefficient (γ) value obtained from the paramagnetic temperature range 15-25 K is∼124(5) mJ/ mol K2. The entropy change due to the ferromagnetic transition is ∼4.2 J/mol K which is appreciably reduced compared to the value of R ln(2) expected for a crystal-field-split doublet ground state and/or Kondo exchange interactions.  相似文献

Na2Ni(HPO3)2, obtained as light yellow-green crystals under mild hydrothermal conditions, crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pnma space-group with lattice parameters: a=11.9886(3), b=5.3671(2), c=9.0764(3) Å, V=584.01 Å3, Z=4. The structure consists of zig-zag chains of NiO6 octahedra bridged by two HPO32− and the chains are further connected through HPO32− to four nearest chains to form a three dimensional framework, delimiting intersecting tunnels in which the sodium ions are located. The Na cations reside in the irregular Na(1)O5, Na-O of 2.276-2.745 Å, and Na(2)O9, Na-O of 2.342-2.376 Å, environments. The presence of the phosphite monoanion has been further confirmed by IR spectroscopy. Due to the 3D framework of Ni connected by O-P-O bridges, the magnetic susceptibility behaves as a paramagnet above 100 K (C=1.49(2) emu K mol−1, μeff=3.45 μB, Θ=−39(2) K) and below 6 K, it orders antiferromagnetically as confirmed the sharp drop and the non-Brillouin behavior of the isothermal magnetization at 2 K.  相似文献

We report on the preparation and characterization of the Ca(Cr0.5Mo0.5)O3 perovskite, obtained in the search of the hypothetical double perovskite Ca2CrMoO6. This material was prepared in polycrystalline form by solid state reaction in H2/Ar flow. It has been studied by X-ray and neutron powder diffraction (NPD) and magnetic measurements. Ca(Cr0.5Mo0.5)O3 crystallizes in the orthorhombic Pbnm (No. 62) space group, with the unit-cell parameters a=5.4110 (4) Å, b=5.4795 (5) Å, c=7.6938 (6) Å. There is a complete disordering of Cr3+ and Mo5+ over the B-site of the perovskite, and the (Cr,Mo)O6 octahedra are tilted by 12.4° in order to optimize the Ca-O bond lengths. The magnetic susceptibility is characteristic of a ferrimagnetic behavior, with TC=125 K, and a small saturation magnetization at T=5 K, of 0.05 μB/f.u.  相似文献

A new iron phosphate (NH4)4Fe3(OH)2F2[H3(PO4)4] has been synthesized hydrothermally at HF concentrations from 0.5 to 1.2 mL. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals its three-dimensional open-framework structure (monoclinic, space group P21/n (No. 14), a=6.2614(13) Å, b=9.844(2) Å, c=14.271(3) Å, β=92.11(1)°, V=879.0(3) Å3). This structure is built from isolated linear trimers of corner-sharing Fe(III) octahedra, which are linked by (PO4) groups to form ten-membered-ring channels along [1 0 0]. This isolated, linear trimer of corner-sharing Fe(III) octahedra, [(FeO4)3(OH)2F2], is new and adds to the diverse linkages of Fe polyhedra as secondary building units in iron phosphates. The trivalent iron at octahedral sites for the title compound has been confirmed by synchrotron Fe K-edge XANES spectra and magnetic measurements. Magnetic measurements also show that this compound exhibit a strong antiferromagnetic exchange below TN=17 K, consistent with superexchange interactions expected for the linear trimer of ferric octahedra with the Fe-F-Fe angle of 132.5°.  相似文献

The crystal and magnetic structures of the brownmillerite material, Ca2Fe1.039(8)Mn0.962(8)O5 were investigated using powder X-ray and neutron diffraction methods, the latter from 3.8 to 700 K. The compound crystallizes in Pnma space group with unit cell parameters of a=5.3055(5) Å, b=15.322(2) Å, c=5.4587(6) Å at 300 K. The neutron diffraction study revealed the occupancies of Fe3+ and Mn3+ ions in both octahedral and tetrahedral sites and showed some intersite mixing and a small, ∼4%, Fe excess. While bulk magnetization data were inconclusive, variable temperature neutron diffraction measurements showed the magnetic transition temperature to be 407(2) K below which a long range antiferromagnetic ordering of spins occurs with ordering wave vector k=(000). The spins of each ion are coupled antiferromagnetically with the nearest neighbors within the same layer and coupled antiparallel to the closest ions from the neighboring layer. This combination of intra- and inter-layer antiparallel arrangement of spins forms a G-type magnetic structure. The ordered moments on the octahedral and tetrahedral sites at 3.8 K are 3.64(16) and 4.23(16) μB, respectively.  相似文献

The organo-templated iron(III) borophosphate (C3H12N2)FeIII 6(H2O)4[B4P8O32(OH)8] was prepared under mild hydrothermal conditions (at 443 K) and the crystal structure was determined from single crystal X-ray data at 295 K (monoclinic, P21/c (No. 14), a=5.014(2) Å, b=9.309(2) Å, c=20.923(7) Å, β=110.29(2)°, V=915.9(5) Å3, Z=2, R1=0.049, wR2=0.107 for all data, 2234 observed reflections with I>2σ(I)). The title compound contains a complex inorganic framework of borophosphate trimers [BP2O8(OH)2]5− together with FeO4(OH)(H2O)- and FeO4(OH)2-octahedra forming channels with ten-membered ring apertures in which the diaminopropane cations are located. The magnetization measurements confirm the Fe(III)-state and show an antiferromagnetic ordering at TN≈14.0(1) K.  相似文献

The compound Cs2Hg2USe5 was obtained from the solid-state reaction of U, HgSe, Cs2Se3, Se, and CsI at 1123 K. This material crystallizes in a new structure type in space group P2/n of the monoclinic system with a cell of dimensions a=10.276(6) Å, b=4.299(2) Å, c=15.432(9) Å, β=101.857(6) Å, and V=667.2(6) Å3. The structure contains layers separated by Cs atoms. Within the layers are distorted HgSe4 tetrahedra and regular USe6 octahedra. In the temperature range of 25-300 K Cs2Hg2USe5 displays Curie-Weiss paramagnetism with μeff=3.71(2) μB. The compound exhibits semiconducting behavior in the [010] direction; the conductivity at 298 K is 3×10−3 S/cm. Formal oxidation states of Cs/Hg/U/Se may be assigned as +1/+2/+4/− 2, respectively.  相似文献

The isostructural alkali thioferrate compounds CsFe2S3, RbFe2S3 and KFe2S3 have been synthesized by reacting Fe and S with their corresponding AFeS2 (A=K, Rb, Cs) precursors. The crystal structures of these and binary compounds of intermediate composition were determined by Rietveld analysis of laboratory powder X-ray diffraction patterns. All of the synthesized compounds adopt the space group Cmcm (#63), Z=4 with: a=9.5193(8) Å, b=11.5826(10) Å, c=5.4820(4) Å for CsFe2S3; a=9.2202(7) Å, b=11.2429(9) Å, c=5.4450(3) Å for RbFe2S3; and a=9.0415(13) Å, b=11.0298(17) Å, c=5.4177(6) Å for KFe2S3. These mixed valence alkali thioferrates show regular changes in cell dimensions, AS10 (A=K, Rb, Cs) polyhedron volumes, polyhedron distortion parameters, and calculated oxidation state of Fe with respect to increasing size of the alkali element cation. The calculated empirical oxidation state of iron varies from +2.618 (CsFe2S3), through +2.666 (RbFe2S3) to +2.77 (KFe2S3).  相似文献

Sr2Co2O5 with the perovskite-related brownmillerite structure has been synthesised via quenching, with the orthorhombic unit cell parameters a=5.4639(3) Å, b=15.6486(8) Å and c=5.5667(3) Å based on refinement of neutron powder diffraction data collected at 4 K. Electron microscopy revealed L-R-L-R-intralayer ordering of chain orientations, which require a doubling of the unit cell along the c-parameter, consistent with the assignment of the space group Pcmb. However, on the length scale pertinent to NPD, no long-range order is observed and the disordered space group Imma appears more appropriate. The magnetic structure corresponds to G-type order with a moment of 3.00(4) μB directed along [1 0 0].  相似文献

The preparation of the potassium salt of hexathiocyanate Re(IV) as a pure and crystalline solid is described. The crystal structure for [{K(H2O)2}2{Re(NCS)6}] (P21/c, a = 8.29132(8) Å, b = 15.0296(2) Å, c = 8.5249(1) Å, β = 90.885(1)°, V = 1062.21(2) Å3) revealed the formation of a 3-D coordination polymer based on K-S linkages. This organization leads to rather short intermolecular S···S contacts. The magnetic behavior for the compound is characterized by substantial antiferromagnetic interactions (with Curie-Weiss parameters C = 1.93 cm3mol−1 and θ = −171 K) that in turn lead to a weak ferromagnet with TC = 13 K.  相似文献

The crystallographic structure of DyNiO3 has been investigated at T=200, 100, and 2 K from high-resolution neutron powder diffraction (NPD) data. We show that the structure is monoclinic, space group P21/n, from the metal-insulator transition temperature at TMI=564 K down to 2 K. The Ni atoms occupy two different sites 2d (Ni1) and 2c (Ni2), whose valences, estimated from bond-valence consideration, are +2.43(1) and +3.44(1) at 2 K, respectively. This is interpreted as the result of a partial charge disproportionation of the type 2Ni3+→Ni1(3−δ)++Ni2(3+δ)+, with δ≈0.55 at T=2 K. The magnetic structure has been studied from a NPD pattern at T=2 K, well below the establishment of the antiferromagnetic (AFM) ordering at TN=154 K, as well as from sequential data collected from 16 K down to 2 K. The magnetic order is defined by the propagation vector k=(1/2,0,1/2). Two possible magnetic structures are compatible with the magnetic intensities. In the second solution both Ni sublattices participate in the magnetic order, as well as Dy since it corresponds to a total disproportionation of Ni3+ to Ni2+ and Ni4+. In the second solution both Ni sublattices participate in the magnetic order, as well as Dy. The magnetic moments for Ni1 and Ni2 atoms at T=2 K are 1.8 (2) and 0.8 (2) μB, respectively. These values are also compatible with a partial charge disproportionation. Dy3+ ions exhibit long-range magnetic ordering below 8 K. An abrupt contraction of the unit-cell volume is observed at this temperature, due to a magnetoelastic coupling. The magnetic moment for Dy3+ at T=2 K is 7.87 (6) μB.  相似文献

We report the synthesis, crystal structure determination, magnetic and low-temperature structural properties of a new cobalt antimony oxo-bromide. CoSb2O3Br2 crystallizes in the triclinic crystal system, space group P−1, with the following lattice parameters: a=5.306(3) Å, b=7.812(4) Å, c=8.0626(10) Å, α=88.54(3)°, β=82.17(3)°, γ=80.32(4)°, and Z=2. The crystal structure was solved from single crystal X-ray data and refined on F2, R1=3.08. The structure consists of layers made up by three building blocks, [CoO4Br2], [SbO3Br], and [SbO3] that are connected via edge- and corner-sharing so that structural Co-Co dimers are formed. The layers have no net charge and are only weakly connected by van der Waals forces to adjacent layers. Above ∼25 K the magnetic susceptibility is independent of the magnetic field and can be very well described by a Curie-Weiss law. Below 25 K the susceptibility passes through a maximum and decreases again that is typical for the onset of long-range antiferromagnetic correlations. Long-range antiferromagnetic ordering is observed below TN∼9 K indicating substantial inter-dimer exchange coupling between Co-Co dimers within the layers. However, according to the heat capacity results only a minute fraction of the entropy is associated with the long-range ordering transition. The phonon anomalies observed for T<6 K in Raman scattering and an anomaly in the specific heat point to a structural instability leading to a loss of inversion symmetry at lowest temperatures.  相似文献

Na6Co2O6 was synthesized via the azide/nitrate route by reaction between NaN3, NaNO3 and Co3O4. Stoichiometric mixtures of the starting materials were heated in a special regime up to 500°C and annealed at this temperature for 50 h in silver crucibles. Single crystals have been grown by subsequent annealing of the reaction product at 500°C for 500 h in silver crucibles, which were sealed in glass ampoules under dried Ar. According to the X-ray analysis of the crystal structure (, Z=1, a=5.7345(3), b=5.8903(3), c=6.3503(3) Å, α=64.538(2), β=89.279(2), γ=85.233(2)°, 1006 independent reflections, R1=8.34% (all data)), cobalt is tetrahedrally coordinated by oxygen. Each two CoO4 tetrahedra are linked through a common edge forming Co2O66- anions. Cobalt ions within the dimers, being in a high spin state (S=2), are ferromagnetically coupled (J=17 cm-1). An intercluster spin exchange (zJ′=−4.8 cm-1) plays a significant role below 150 K and leads to an antiferromagnetically ordered state below 30 K. Heat capacity exhibits a λ-type anomaly at this temperature and yields a value of 19.5 J/mol K for the transition entropy, which is in good agreement with the theoretical value calculated for the ordering of the ferromagnetic-coupled dimers. In order to construct a model for the spin interactions in Na6Co2O6, the magnetic properties of Na5CoO4 have been measured. This compound features isolated CoO4 tetrahedra and shows a Curie-Weiss behavior (μ=5.14 μB, Θ=−20 K) down to 15 K. An antiferromagmetic ordering is observed in this compound below 10 K.  相似文献

The title compound was prepared from the elements by reaction in a sealed tantalum tube at 1320 K followed by slow cooling to 970 K or, alternatively, in glassy carbon crucibles with HF melting. The crystal structure of Eu5Ga9 was refined from single-crystal data: Cmcm, a=4.613(1) Å, b=10.902(3) Å, c=26.097(6) Å, Z=4, RF=0.036, 811 structure factors and 46 variables. The structure is described as a three-dimensional network formed by gallium atoms with europium atoms embedded in the cavities. The bonding analysis (LMTO, ELF) confirmed this representation of the structure. Magnetic susceptibility measurements show Curie-Weiss behavior above 60 K with a magnetic moment per Eu atom of 8.12(1) μB, indicating divalent europium. Eu5Ga9 orders antiferromagnetically at 19.0(5) K with re-ordering at 6.0(5) K. The electrical resistivity shows a metallic temperature dependence and magnetic scattering. 151Eu Mössbauer spectroscopic experiments are compatible with divalent europium and show complex magnetic hyperfine field splitting below the ordering temperature.  相似文献

The preparation by hydrothermal reaction and the crystal structure of the iron(III) carboxyethylphosphonate of formula [NH4][Fe2(OH){O3P(CH2)2CO2}2] is reported. The green-yellow compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group Pc(n.7), with the following unit-cell parameters: a=7.193(3) Å, b=9.776(3) Å, c=10.17(4) Å and β=94.3(2)°. It shows a typical layered hybrid organic-inorganic structure featuring an alternation of organic and inorganic layers along the a-axis of the unit cell. The bifunctional ligand [O3P(CH2)2CO2]3− is deprotonated and acts as a linker between adjacent inorganic layers, to form pillars along the a-axis. The inorganic layers are made up of dinuclear Fe(III) units, formed by coordination of the metal ions with the oxygen atoms originating from the [O3P−]2− end of the carboxyethylphosphonate molecules, the oxygen atoms of the [−CO2] end group of a ligand belonging to the adjacent layer and the oxygen atom of the bridged OH group. Each Fe(III) ion is six-coordinated in a very distorted octahedral environment. Within the dimer the Fe-Fe separation is found to be 3.5 Å, and the angle inside the [Fe(1)-O(11)-Fe(2)] dimers is ∼124°. The resulting 3D framework contains micropores delimited by four adjacent dimers in the (bc) planes of the unit cell. These holes develop along the a-direction as tunnel-like pores and [NH4]+ cations are located there. The presence of the μ-hydroxo-bridged [Fe(1)-O(11)-Fe(2)] dimers in the lattice is also responsible for the magnetic behavior of the compound at low temperatures. The compound contains Fe3+ ions in the high-spin state and the two Fe(III) ions are antiferromagnetic coupled. The J/k value of −16.3 K is similar to those found for other μ-hydroxo-bridged Fe(III) dimeric systems having the same geometry.  相似文献

The anhydrous salt K2B12F12 crystallized from aqueous solution and its structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The Ni2In-type structure it exhibits is rare for an A2X ionic compound at 25 °C and 1 atm., consisting of an expanded hexagonal close-packed array of B12F122− centroids (cent?cent distances: 7.204-8.236 Å) with half of the K+ ions filling all of the Oh holes and half of the K+ ions filling all of the D3h trigonal holes in the close-packed layers that are midway between two “empty” Td holes. The structure is also unusual in that the bond-valence sum for the K+ ions in Oh holes is less than or equal to 0.73 (the bond-valence sum for the other type of K+ ion is 1.16). A variation of the Ni2In structure is exhibited by the previously published monohydrate Cs2(H2O)B12F12, for which an improved structure is also reported here. For K2B12F12: monoclinic, C2/c, a = 8.2072(8), b = 14.2818(7), c = 11.3441(9) Å, β = 92.832(5)°, Z = 4, T = 120(2) K. Three new compounds Ca(HF2)2, Ba4F4(HF2)(PF6)3 and Pb2F2(HF2)(PF6) were obtained in the system metal(II) fluoride and anhydrous HF (aHF) acidified with excessive PF5. The obtained polymeric solids are slightly soluble in aHF and they crystallize out of their aHF solutions. Ca(HF2)2 was prepared by simply dissolving CaF2 in a neutral aHF. It represents the second known compound with homoleptic HF environment of the central atom besides Ba(H3F4)2. The compounds Ba4F4(HF2)(PF6)3 and Pb2F2(HF2)(PF6) represent two additional examples of the formation of a polymeric zigzag ladder or ribbon composed of metal cation and fluoride anion (MF+)n besides PbF(AsF6), the first isolated compound with such zigzag ladder. The obtained new compounds were characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction method and partly by Raman spectroscopy. Ba4F4(HF2)(PF6)3 crystallizes in a triclinic space group P1¯ with a=4.5870(2) Å, b=8.8327(3) Å, c=11.2489(3) Å, α=67.758(9)°, β=84.722(12), γ=78.283(12)°, V=413.00(3) Å3 at 200 K, Z=1 and R=0.0588.
