Garnet-structure related metal oxides with the nominal chemical composition of Li5La3Nb2O12, In-substituted Li5.5La3Nb1.75In0.25O12 and K-substituted Li5.5La2.75K0.25Nb2O12 were prepared by solid-state reactions at 900, 950, and 1000 °C using appropriate amounts of corresponding metal oxides, nitrates and carbonates. The powder XRD data reveal that the In- and K-doped compounds are isostructural with the parent compound Li5La3Nb2O12. The variation in the cubic lattice parameter was found to change with the size of the dopant ions, for example, substitution of larger In3+(rCN6: 0.79 Å) for smaller Nb5+ (rCN6: 0.64 Å) shows an increase in the lattice parameter from 12.8005(9) to 12.826(1) Å at 1000 °C. Samples prepared at higher temperatures (950, 1000 °C) show mainly bulk lithium ion conductivity in contrast to those synthesized at lower temperatures (900 °C). The activation energies for the ionic conductivities are comparable for all samples. Partial substitution of K+ for La3+ and In3+ for Nb5+ in Li5La3Nb2O12 exhibits slightly higher ionic conductivity than that of the parent compound over the investigated temperature regime 25-300 °C. Among the compounds investigated, the In-substituted Li5.5La3Nb1.75In0.25O12 exhibits the highest bulk lithium ion conductivity of 1.8×10−4 S/cm at 50 °C with an activation energy of 0.51 eV. The diffusivity (“component diffusion coefficient”) obtained from the AC conductivity and powder XRD data falls in the range 10−10-10−7 cm2/s over the temperature regime 50-200 °C, which is extraordinarily high and comparable with liquids. Substitution of Al, Co, and Ni for Nb in Li5La3Nb2O12 was found to be unsuccessful under the investigated conditions.  相似文献

Phase transitions in MgAl2O4 were examined at 21-27 GPa and 1400-2500 °C using a multianvil apparatus. A mixture of MgO and Al2O3 corundum that are high-pressure dissociation products of MgAl2O4 spinel combines into calcium-ferrite type MgAl2O4 at 26-27 GPa and 1400-2000 °C. At temperature above 2000 °C at pressure below 25.5 GPa, a mixture of Al2O3 corundum and a new phase with Mg2Al2O5 composition is stable. The transition boundary between the two fields has a strongly negative pressure-temperature slope. Structure analysis and Rietveld refinement on the basis of the powder X-ray diffraction profile of the Mg2Al2O5 phase indicated that the phase represented a new structure type with orthorhombic symmetry (Pbam), and the lattice parameters were determined as a=9.3710(6) Å, b=12.1952(6) Å, c=2.7916(2) Å, V=319.03(3) Å3, Z=4. The structure consists of edge-sharing and corner-sharing (Mg, Al)O6 octahedra, and contains chains of edge-sharing octahedra running along the c-axis. A part of Mg atoms are accommodated in six-coordinated trigonal prism sites in tunnels surrounded by the chains of edge-sharing (Mg, Al)O6 octahedra. The structure is related with that of ludwigite (Mg, Fe2+)2(Fe3+, Al)(BO3)O2. The molar volume of the Mg2Al2O5 phase is smaller by 0.18% than sum of molar volumes of 2MgO and Al2O3 corundum. High-pressure dissociation to the mixture of corundum-type phase and the phase with ludwigite-related structure has been found only in MgAl2O4 among various A2+B3+2O4 compounds.  相似文献

The crystal structures and magnetic properties of the quaternary lanthanide oxides Ba6Ln2Fe4O15 (Ln=Pr and Nd) are reported. They crystallize in a hexagonal structure with space group P63mc and have the “Fe4O15 cluster” consisting of one FeO6 octahedron and three FeO4 tetrahedra. Measurements of the magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, and powder neutron diffraction reveal that this cluster behaves as a spin tetramer with a ferrimagnetic ground state of ST=5 even at room temperature. The cluster moments show a long-range antiferromagnetic ordering at 23.2 K (Ln=Pr) and 17.8 K (Nd), and the magnetic moments of the Ln3+ ions also order cooperatively. By applying the magnetic field (∼2 T), this antiferromagnetic ordering of the clusters changes to a ferromagnetic one. This result indicates that there exists a competition in the magnetic interaction between the clusters.  相似文献

Rare earth ions (Ce3+, Tb3+)-doped LaMgAl11O19 phosphor films were deposited on quartz glass substrates by Pechini sol-gel and dip coating method. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), atomic force microscopy (AFM), field emission scanning electronic microscopy (FESEM), photoluminescence (PL) spectra, and lifetimes were used to characterize the resulting films. The results of XRD indicated that the magnetoplumbite structure LaMgAl11O19 phase can be obtained at 1200 °C on quartz glass substrates. This was further verified by the results of FT-IR and TG-DTA. AFM study showed that uniform films have an average grain size of 150 nm and a root mean square (RMS) roughness of 4 nm. The thickness of the films characterized by FESEM is about 340 nm. LaMgAl11O19:Ce3+ film showed the parity and spin allowed 5d-4f band emission of Ce3+ with a maximum at 350 nm. Ce3+, Tb3+-codoped LaMgAl11O19 films showed the band emission of Ce3+ and characteristic emission of Tb3+, namely, 5D3,4-7FJ (J=6, 5, 4, 3) due to an efficient energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ in the host.  相似文献

Single crystals of Y5Re2O12 have been grown, and the crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction. This compound crystallizes in space group C2/m with cell dimensions of a=12.4081(10) Å b=5.6604(5)Å, c=7.4951(6) Å, β=107.837(3)°, Z=2. The final refinement led to R1=0.0238, WR2=0.0459 for 1053 observed reflections with F>4σ(F0). Edge-sharing ReO6 octahedra form infinite linear [ReO2O4/2]n chains along the b direction with alternating short and long Re-Re distances. Three crystallographically independent yttrium atoms surround O2 to form OY4 tetrahedra, which share edges and corners in the ab plane to form a two-dimensional Y5O4 network which separates the [ReO2O4/2]n magnetic chains. This compound is therefore isostructural with the series Ln5Re2O12Ln=Gd-Lu, which have been known since 1969. The average Re oxidation state is +4.5 in the chains and a reasonable, if qualitative MO scheme results in one unpaired electron per Re dimer. Consistent with this, magnetic susceptibility data can be fitted to the one-dimensional antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model with S=1/2 and parameters Jintra/k=−89(1)K, g=2.15(4) and χ(TIP)=5(1)×10−4 emu/mol. There is no sign of long-range magnetic order down to 2 K. These results are contrasted with those for the isostructural Y5Mo2O12.  相似文献

The basic mercury(I) chromate(VI), Hg6Cr2O9 (=2Hg2CrO4·Hg2O), has been obtained under hydrothermal conditions (200 °C, 5 days) in the form of orange needles as a by-product from reacting elemental mercury and K2Cr2O7. Hydrothermal treatment of microcrystalline Hg6Cr2O9 in demineralised water at 200 °C for 3 days led to crystal growth of red crystals of the basic mercury(I, II) chromate(VI), Hg6Cr2O10 (=2Hg2CrO4·2HgO). The crystal structures were solved and refined from single crystal X-ray data sets. Hg6Cr2O9: space group P212121, Z=4, a=7.3573(12), b=8.0336(13), , 3492 structure factors, 109 parameters, R[F2>2σ(F2)]=0.0371, wR(F2 all)=0.0517; Hg6Cr2O10: space group Pca21, Z=4, a=11.4745(15), b=9.4359(12), , 3249 structure factors, 114 parameters, R[F2>2σ(F2)]=0.0398, wR(F2 all)=0.0625. Both crystal structures are made up of an intricate mercury-oxygen network, subdivided into single building blocks [O-Hg-Hg-O] for the mercurous compound, and [O-Hg-Hg-O] and [O-Hg-O] for the mixed-valent compound. Hg6Cr2O9 contains three different Hg22+ dumbbells, whereas Hg6Cr2O10 contains two different Hg22+ dumbbells and two Hg2+ cations. The HgI-HgI distances are characteristic and range between 2.5031(15) and 2.5286(9) Å. All Hg22+ groups exhibit an unsymmetrical oxygen environment. The oxygen coordination of the Hg2+ cations is nearly linear with two tightly bonded O atoms at distances around 2.07 Å. For both structures, the chromate(VI) anions reside in the vacancies of the Hg-O network and deviate only slightly from the ideal tetrahedral geometry with average Cr-O distances of ca. 1.66 Å. Upon heating at temperatures above 385 °C, Hg6Cr2O9 decomposes in a four-step mechanism with Cr2O3 as the end-product at temperatures above 620 °C.  相似文献

Zn7Sb2O12 forms a full range of Co-containing α solid solutions, Zn7−xCoxSb2O12, with an inverse-spinel structure at high temperature. At low temperatures for x<2, the solid solutions transform into the low temperature β-polymorph. For x=0, the βα transition occurs at 1225±25 °C; the transition temperature decreases with increasing x. At high x and low temperatures, α solid solutions are formed but are non-stoichiometric; the (Zn+Co):Sb ratio is >7:2 and the compensation for the deficiency in Sb is attributed to the partial oxidation of Co2+ to Co3+. From Rietveld refinements using ND data, Co occupies both octahedral and tetrahedral sites at intermediate values of x, but an octahedral preference attributed to crystal field stabilisation, causes the lattice parameter plot to deviate negatively from the Vegard's law. Sub-solidus compatibility relations in the ternary system ZnO-Sb2O5-CoO have been determined at 1100 °C for the compositions containing ?50% Sb2O5.  相似文献

Thin crystals of La2O3, LaAlO3, La2/3TiO3, La2TiO5, and La2Ti2O7 have been irradiated in situ using 1 MeV Kr2+ ions at the Intermediate Voltage Electron Microscope-Tandem User Facility (IVEM-Tandem), Argonne National Laboratory (ANL). We observed that La2O3 remained crystalline to a fluence greater than 3.1×1016 ions cm−2 at a temperature of 50 K. The four binary oxide compounds in the two systems were observed through the crystalline-amorphous transition as a function of ion fluence and temperature. Results from the ion irradiations give critical temperatures for amorphisation (Tc) of 647 K for LaAlO3, 840 K for La2Ti2O7, 865 K for La2/3TiO3, and 1027 K for La2TiO5. The Tc values observed in this study, together with previous data for Al2O3 and TiO2, are discussed with reference to the melting points for the La2O3-Al2O3 and La2O3-TiO2 systems and the different local environments within the four crystal structures. Results suggest that there is an observable inverse correlation between Tc and melting temperature (Tm) in the two systems. More complex relationships exist between Tc and crystal structure, with the stoichiometric perovskite LaAlO3 being the most resistant to amorphisation.  相似文献

Using Na2CO3-H3BO3-NaF as fluxes, transparent RE:Na3La9O3(BO3)8 (abbr. RE:NLBO, RE=Er, Yb) crystals have been grown by the top seed solution growth (TSSG) method. The X-ray powder diffraction analysis shows that the RE:NLBO crystals have the same structure with NLBO. The element contents were determined by molar to be 0.64% Er3+ in Er:NLBO, 2.70% Yb3+ in Yb:NLBO, respectively. The polarized absorption spectra of RE:NLBO have been measured at room temperature and show that both Er:NLBO and Yb:NLBO have a strong absorption bands near 980 nm with wide FWHM (Full Wave at Half Maximum) (21 nm for Er:NLBO and 25 nm for Yb:NLBO). Fluorescence spectra have been recorded. Yb:NLBO has the emission peaks at 985 nm, 1028 nm and 1079 nm and the emission peak of Er:NLBO is at 1536 nm. Spectral parameters have been calculated by the Judd-Ofelt theory for Er:NLBO and the reciprocity method for Yb:NLBO, respectively. The calculated values show that Er:NLBO is a candidate of 1.55 μm laser crystals and Yb:NLBO is a candidate for self-frequency doubling crystal.  相似文献

Solid-liquid equilibria in the C12H22O11-Ca(OH)2-H2O system have been determined at 30 °C. Two phases C12H22O11·3Ca(OH)2 and C12H22O11·2Ca (OH)2 have been evidenced, and solubility (liquidus) curves have been determined. It is thus shown that these ternary phases exhibit incongruent solubilities at 30 °C. These solid phases were characterized using Infrared Spectroscopy (IR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES).  相似文献

Na27Ru14O48 has been synthesized in air at 700 °C. The composition and crystal structure of the phase were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The triclinic crystal structure contains isolated planar Ru7O24 plaquettes made from seven edge-sharing RuO6 octahedra. The complex Na:Ru ratio is a result of tilting of the plaquettes to disrupt the packing of nominally hexagonal close packed planes made of Na ions and RuO6 octrahedra. Resistivity measurements show that the material is semiconducting with an activation energy of 0.53 eV. The observed magnetic moment of 3.11 μB per Ru is lower than the expected spin only value, but is within the range seen in other compounds and is too large to indicate that the fundamental magnetic entities are the isolated Ru7O24 plaquettes. Small, reproducible deviations in the Curie-Weiss behavior occur below 200 K and the onset of a broad magnetic transition is seen between 40 and 32 K.  相似文献

New phase (Nd,Ce)2+xCaCu2O6+y was prepared at a high-pressure/high-temperature condition of 6 GPa and 1300°C. It had a nonstoichiometric composition close to Nd2.16Ce0.225CaCu2O6+y. According to X-ray diffraction pattern, the Nd2.16Ce0.225CaCu2O6+y phase has a tetragonal lattice with a = 3.845(1) Å, c = 19.349(5) Å. However, electron microscopic observations revealed a complicated shear structure for this phase. Magnetic susceptibility and magnetic hysteresis measurements were performed for the Nd2.16Ce0.225CaCu2O6+y sample and it was found that the phase undergoes a weak ferromagnetic transition at 150 K. Below ≈40 K, complicated magnetic behavior was observed suggesting the presence of second weak ferromagnetic transition near 40 K.  相似文献

Nanosized-Ta2O5 powder photocatalyst was successfully synthesized by using sol-gel method via TaCl5 butanol solution as a precursor. Ta2O5 species can be formed under 500 °C via the decomposition of the precursor. The crystalline phase of Ta2O5 powder photocatalyst can be obtained after being calcined above 600 °C for 4 h. The crystal size and particle size of Ta2O5 powder photocatalyst was about 50 nm. A good photocatalytic performance for the degradation of gaseous formaldehyde was obtained for the nanosized-Ta2O5 powder. The Ta2O5 powder formed at 700 °C for 4 h and at 650 °C for 12 h showed the best performance. The calcination temperature and time play an important role in the crystallization and photocatalytical performance of nanosized-Ta2O5 powder.  相似文献

Different substitutions, i.e. Sr2+, Ba2+, K+, Nb5+ and V5+, have been performed in the triclinic α-La2W2O9 structure in order to stabilise the high temperature and better ionic conductor cubic β-phase. This approach has been used to try to obtain a new series of ionic conductors with LAMOX-type structure without molybdenum and presumably better redox stability compared to β-La2Mo2O9. Nanocrystalline materials obtained by a freeze-drying precursor method at 600 °C exhibit mainly the β-La2W2O9 structure, however, the triclinic α-form is stabilised as the firing temperature increases and the crystallite size grows. Only high levels of Ba2+ and V5+ substitutions retained the cubic form at room temperature after firing above 1100 °C. However, these phases are metastable above 700 °C, exhibiting an irreversible transformation to the low temperature triclinic α-phase. The synthesis, structure, phase stability, kinetic of phase transformation and electrical conductivity of these materials have been studied in the present report.  相似文献

The calcium cobalt oxide CaCo2O4 was synthesized for the first time and characterized from a powder X-ray diffraction study, measuring magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, electrical resistivity, and thermoelectric power. CaCo2O4 crystallizes in the CaFe2O4 (calcium ferrite)-type structure, consisting of an edge- and corner-shared CoO6 octahedral network. The structure of CaCo2O4 belongs to an orthorhombic system (space group: Pnma) with lattice parameters, a=8.789(2) Å, b=2.9006(7) Å and c=10.282(3) Å. Curie-Weiss-like behavior in magnetic susceptibility with the nearly trivalent cobalt low-spin state (Co3+, 3d, S=0), semiconductor-like temperature dependence of resistivity (ρ=3×10−1 Ω cm at 380 K) with dominant hopping conduction at low temperature, metallic-temperature-dependent large thermoelectric power (Seebeck coefficient: S=+147 μV/K at 380 K), and Schottky-type specific heat with a small Sommerfeld constant (γ=4.48(7) mJ/Co mol K2), were observed. These results suggest that the compound possesses a metallic electronic state with a small density of states at the Fermi level. The doped holes are localized at low temperatures due to disorder in the crystal. The carriers probably originate from slight off-stoichiometry of the phase. It was also found that S tends to increase even more beyond 380 K. The large S is possibly attributed to residual spin entropy and orbital degeneracy coupled with charges by strong electron correlation in the cobalt oxides.  相似文献

A new efficient blue phosphor, Eu2+ activated SrZnP2O7, has been synthesized at 1000 °C under reduced atmosphere and the crystal structure and photoluminescence properties have been investigated. The crystal structure of SrZnP2O7 was obtained via Rietveld refinement of powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern. It was found that SrZnP2O7 crystallizes in space group of P21/n (no. 14), Z=4, and the unit cell dimensions are: a=5.30906(2) Å, b=8.21392(3) Å, c=12.73595(5) Å, β=90.1573(3)°, and V=555.390(3) Å3. Under ultraviolet excitation (200-400 nm), efficient Eu2+ emission peaked at 420 nm was observed, of which the luminescent efficiency at the optimal concentration of Eu2+ (4 mol%) was estimated to be 96% as that of BaMgAl10O17:Eu2+. Hence, the SrZnP2O7:Eu2+ exhibit great potential as a phosphor in different applications, such as ultraviolet light emitting diode and photo-therapy lamps.  相似文献

The title compounds have been synthesized by a citrate technique followed by thermal treatments in air (BiFe0.5Mn1.5O5) or under high oxygen pressure conditions (BiFeMnO5), and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), neutron powder diffraction (NPD) and magnetization measurements. The crystal structures have been refined from NPD data in the space group Pbam at 295 K. These phases are isostructural with RMn2O5 oxides (R=rare earths) and contain infinite chains of Mn4+O6 octahedra sharing edges, linked together by (Fe,Mn)3+O5 pyramids and BiO8 units. These units are strongly distorted with respect to those observed in other RFeMnO5 compounds, due to the presence of the electronic lone pair on Bi3+. It is noteworthy the certain level of antisite disorder exhibited in both samples, where the octahedral positions are partially occupied by Fe cations, and vice versa. BiFexMn2−xO5 (x=0.5, 1.0) are short-range magnetically ordered below 20 K for x=0.5 and at 40 K for x=1.0. The main magnetic interactions seem to be antiferromagnetic (AFM); however, the presence of a small hysteresis in the magnetization cycles indicates the presence of some weak ferromagnetic (FM) interactions.  相似文献

The structures of NaRu2O4 and Na2.7Ru4O9 are refined using neutron diffraction. NaRu2O4 is a stoichiometric compound consisting of double chains of edge sharing RuO6 octahedra. Na2.7Ru4O9 is a non-stoichiometric compound with partial occupancy of the Na sublattice. The structure is a mixture of single, double and triple chains of edge-shared RuO6 octahedra. NaRu2O4 displays temperature independent paramagnetism with . Na2.7Ru4O9 is paramagnetic, χ0= with and a Curie constant of 0.0119 emu/mol Oe K. Specific heat measurements reveal a small upturn at low temperatures, similar to the upturn observed in La4Ru6O19. The electronic contribution to the specific heat (γ) for Na2.7Ru4O9 was determined to be15 mJ/moleRu K2.  相似文献

Subsolidus phase relations in the CuOx-TiO2-Nb2O5 system were determined at 935 °C. The phase diagram contains one new phase, Cu3.21Ti1.16Nb2.63O12 (CTNO) and one rutile-structured solid solution series, Ti1−3xCuxNb2xO2: 0<x<0.2335 (35). The crystal structure of CTNO is similar to that of CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) with square planar Cu2+ but with A site vacancies and a disordered mixture of Cu+, Ti4+ and Nb5+ on the octahedral sites. It is a modest semiconductor with relative permittivity ∼63 and displays non-Arrhenius conductivity behavior that is essentially temperature-independent at the lowest temperatures.  相似文献

Magnetic properties of Mn2V2O7 single crystals are investigated by means of magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, and heat capacity measurements. A structural phase transition of the α-β forms is clearly observed at the temperature range of 200-250 K and an antiferromagnetic ordering with magnetic anisotropy is observed below 20 K. A spin-flop transition is observed with magnetic field applied along the [110] axis of β-Mn2V2O7, of which corresponds to the [001] axis of α-Mn2V2O7, suggesting that the spins of Mn2+ ions locate within honeycomb layers which point likely in the [110] direction of β-Mn2V2O7 or the [001] axis of α-Mn2V2O7. However, a rather small jump of magnetization at spin-flop transition suggests a possible partition of crystal to some domains through β-to-α transition on cooling or much complex spin structure in honeycomb lattice with some frustration.  相似文献
