从主理想整环上有界模分解的Prüfer-Baer定理出发,研究(无限维)向量空间的代数的线性变换的几个基本问题,得到了如下结果:设V是域F上的(无限维)向量空间,A是V上的一个代数的线性变换,则有(1)若任何与A可交换的线性变换均与线性变换B可交换,则B=f(A),其中f是F上的多项式.进而线性变换B也是代数的.(2) V中存在一组基,使A在这组基下的矩阵是有理标准型(经典标准型)矩阵.当F是代数闭域时,经典标准型矩阵即为若当标准型矩阵.(3)当F是代数闭域时,A存在相应的Jordan-Chevalley分解.进一步,该结论在完全域上仍成立.这些研究推广了有限维向量空间上线性变换的相关结果.  相似文献

We study a moduli space of ASD connections over S3×R. We consider not only finite energy ASD connections but also infinite energy ones. So the moduli space is infinite dimensional in general. We study the (local) mean dimension of this infinite dimensional moduli space. We show the upper bound on the mean dimension by using a “Runge-approximation” for ASD connections, and we prove its lower bound by constructing an infinite dimensional deformation theory of periodic ASD connections.  相似文献

We construct a map from the classifying space of a discrete Kac–Moody group over the algebraic closure of the field with p elements to the classifying space of a complex topological Kac–Moody group and prove that it is a homology equivalence at primes q different from p. This generalizes a classical result of Quillen, Friedlander and Mislin for Lie groups. As an application, we construct unstable Adams operations for general Kac–Moody groups compatible with the Frobenius homomorphism. Our results rely on new integral homology decompositions for certain infinite dimensional unipotent subgroups of discrete Kac–Moody groups.  相似文献

Motivated by constructions in the representation theory of finite dimensional algebras we generalize the notion of Artin-Schelter regular algebras of dimension n to algebras and categories to include Auslander algebras and a graded analogue for infinite representation type. A generalized Artin-Schelter regular algebra or a category of dimension n is shown to have common properties with the classical Artin-Schelter regular algebras. In particular, when they admit a duality, then they satisfy Serre duality formulas and the -category of nice sets of simple objects of maximal projective dimension n is a finite length Frobenius category.  相似文献

This Note introduces recent developments in the analysis of inventory systems with partial observations. The states of these systems are typically conditional distributions, which evolve in infinite dimensional spaces over time. Our analysis involves introducing unnormalized probabilities to transform nonlinear state transition equations to linear ones. With the linear equations, the existence of the optimal feedback policies are proved for two models where demand and inventory are partially observed. In a third model where the current inventory is not observed but a past inventory level is fully observed, a sufficient statistic is provided to serve as a state. The last model serves as an example where a partially observed model has a finite dimensional state. In that model, we also establish the optimality of the basestock policies, hence generalizing the corresponding classical models with full information. To cite this article: A. Bensoussan et al., C. We prove that a represented infinite matroid having finite tree-width w has a linked tree-decomposition of width at most 2w. This result should be a key lemma in showing that any class of infinite matroids representable over a fixed finite field and having bounded tree-width is well-quasi-ordered under taking minors. We also show that for every finite w, a represented infinite matroid has tree-width at most w if and only if all its finite submatroids have tree-width at most w. Both proofs rely on the use of a notion of chordality for represented matroids.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce certain basic notions concerning infinite dimensional complex manifolds, and prove that the Dolbeault cohomology groups of infinite dimensional projective spaces, with values in finite rank vector bundles, vanish. Some applications of such vanishing theorems are discussed; e.g., we classify vector bundles of finite rank over infinite dimensional projective spaces. Finally, we prove a sharp theorem on solving the inhomogeneous Cauchy-Riemann equations on affine spaces.

We present new infinite families of expander graphs of vertex degree 4, which is the minimal possible degree for Cayley graph expanders. Our first family defines a tower of coverings (with covering indices equal to 2) and our second family is given as Cayley graphs of finite groups with very short presentations with only two generators and four relations. Both families are based on particular finite quotients of a group G of infinite upper triangular matrices over the ring .We present explicit vector space bases for the finite abelian quotients of the lower exponent-2 groups of G by upper triangular subgroups and prove a particular 3-periodicity of these quotients. We also conjecture that the group G has finite width 3 and finite average width 8/3.  相似文献

Let V be a normed vector space over C, let B(V) denote the algebra of linear bounded operators on V, and let N be an arbitrary seminorm or norm on B(V). In this paper we discuss multiplicativity factors for N, i.e., constants μ>0 for which NμμN is submultiplicative. We find that, while in the finite dimensional case nontrivial indefinite seminorms have no multiplicativity factors and norms do have multiplicativity factors, in the infinite dimensional case N may or may not have such factors. Our results are then applied in order to compute multiplicativity factors for certain generalizations of the classical numerical radius, called C-numerical radii. This is done with the help of a combinatorial inequality which seems to be of independent interest.  相似文献

Superderivations for the eight families of finite or infinite dimensional graded Lie superalgebras of Cartan-type over a field of characteristic p?>?3 are completely determined by a uniform approach: The infinite dimensional case is reduced to the finite dimensional case and the latter is further reduced to the restrictedness case, which proves to be far more manageable. In particular, the structures and dimension formulas are clearly described for the outer superderivation algebras of those Lie superalgebras. Certain known results are also covered.  相似文献

LetR be a unique factorization domain (UFD). A method of Gröbner bases and localization in commutative algebra is applied to compute and analyze the characteristic ideals of semi-infinite linear recurring sequences (lrs), infinite linear recurring sequences (LRS), and finite lrs over UFD. The canonical form of a minimal Gröbner basis of the homogeneous characteristic ideal is described for a finite segment of an lrs, from which a precise relation between every step in the classical Berlekamp-Massey algorithm and every member of the Gröbner basis is derived.  相似文献

Summary We prove that any doubly transitive permutation group with abelian stabilizers is the group of linear functions over a suitable field. The result is not new: for finite groups it is well known, for infinite groups it follows from a more general theorem of W. Kerby and H. Wefelscheid on sharply doubly transitive groups in which the stabilizers have finite commutator subgroups. We give a direct and elementary proof.  相似文献

In two recent papers Chabnes, Gbibie, and Kortanek [3], [4] studied a special class of infinite linear programs where only a finite number of variables appear in an infinite number of constraints and where only a finite number of constraints have an infinite number of variables. Termed separably-infinite programs, their duality was used to characterize a class of saddle value problems as a uniextremai principle.

We show how this characterization can be derived and extended within Fenchel and Rockafellar duality, and that the values of the dual separably-infinite programs embrace the values of the Fenchel dual pair within their interval. The development demonstrates that the general finite dimensional Fenchel dual pair is equivalent to a dual pair of separably-infinite programs when certain cones of coefficients are closed.  相似文献

Graham and Lehrer have defined cellular algebras and developed a theory that allows in particular to classify simple representations of finite dimensional cellular algebras. Many classes of finite dimensional algebras, including various Hecke algebras and diagram algebras, have been shown to be cellular, and the theory due to Graham and Lehrer successfully has been applied to these algebras.We will extend the framework of cellular algebras to algebras that need not be finite dimensional over a field. Affine Hecke algebras of type A and infinite dimensional diagram algebras like the affine Temperley–Lieb algebras are shown to be examples of our definition. The isomorphism classes of simple representations of affine cellular algebras are shown to be parameterised by the complement of finitely many subvarieties in a finite disjoint union of affine varieties. In this way, representation theory of non-commutative algebras is linked with commutative algebra. Moreover, conditions on the cell chain are identified that force the algebra to have finite global cohomological dimension and its derived category to admit a stratification; these conditions are shown to be satisfied for the affine Hecke algebra of type A if the quantum parameter is not a root of the Poincaré polynomial.  相似文献
