We derive, in model-independent way, the spin structure of the matrix element for the reaction of associative Θ+-pentaquark production, π ± + d → Θ+ + Σ±, in the threshold region and in collinear kinematics. The expressions for the polarization observables in this reaction are found assuming spin 1/2 and different parities for Θ+. We have proved that such a reaction can be used for a model-independent determination of the P parity of Θ+ only by measuring the Θ+ polarization. Other polarization observables, such as the dependence of the Σ± polarization on the vector and tensor deuteron polarizations, are insensitive to the Θ+ parity under the considered kinematical conditions. The linear and quadratic relations between polarization observables in (Θ+ is unpolarized) do not depend on the parity of the Θ+ pentaquark. The analysis performed for this reaction is also applicable without any modification to the reaction K + + d → Θ+ + p. Using the pole model for the reaction mechanism, we estimated the value of the cross section for the reaction K + + d → Θ+ + p near the threshold. The formal expressions of all possible polarization observables ind(,N)N with polarized photons and oriented deuterons are derived in terms of thet-matrix elements.  For deuteron photo- and electrodisintegration the selection of complete sets of polarization observables is discussed in detail by applying a recently developed new criterion for the check of completeness of a chosen set of observables. The question of ambiguities and their resolution by considering additional observables is discussed for a numerical example, for which the role of experimental uncertainties is also investigated. Furthermore, by inversion of the expressions of the observables as Hermitean forms in the t-matrix elements a bilinear term of the form can be given as a complex linear form in the observables from which an explicit solution for in terms of observables can be obtained. Multiple polarization observables must be measured to access the amplitude structure of pseudoscalar meson photoproduction off the proton. The hyperon-producing reactions are especially attractive to study, since the weak decays allow straightforward measurement of the induced and recoil polarization observables. In this paper we emphasize γ + pK + + Λ , discussing recent measurements of Cx, Cz, and P for this reaction. An empirical constraint on the helicity amplitudes is obtained. A simplified model involving spin-flip and spin-non-flip amplitudes is presented. Finally, a semi-classical model of how the polarization may arise is presented.  相似文献

Using a one-pion-exchange model for the nucleon-nucleon interaction the relativistic corrections to potential and to the electromagnetic operators are derived in a power expansion of (p/M). All corrections up to the order (p/M)3 are consistently included. Numerical results are shown for differential cross section and polarization observables for deuteron photodisintegration. A sizeable influence of relativistic effects on some observables is found even at low energies. An analysis is presented of the effect of weak dispersion on transitions from weak to strong discontinuities in inviscid fluid dynamics. In the neighborhoods of transition points, this effect is described by simultaneous solutions to the Korteweg—de Vries equation u t + uu x + u xxx = 0 and fifth-order nonautonomous ordinary differential equations. As x2 + t 2 →∞, the asymptotic behavior of these simultaneous solutions in the zone of undamped oscillations is given by quasi-simple wave solutions to Whitham equations of the form r i(t, x) = tli x/t2.  相似文献

The formalism of ( γ, NN) reactions is given where the incident photon is polarized and the outgoing-nucleon polarization is detected. Sixteen structure functions and fifteen polarization observables are found in the general case, while only eight structure functions and seven polarization observables survive in coplanar kinematics. Numerical examples are presented for the 16O(γ, np) and 16O(γ, pp) reactions. The transitions to the ground state of 14C and 14N are calculated in a model where realistic short-range and tensor correlations are taken into account for the np pair, while short-range and long-range correlations are included in a consistent way for pp pairs. The effects of the one-body and two-body components of the nuclear current and the role of correlations in cross-sections and polarizations are studied and discussed. For constrained Hamiltonian systems, the motion equations are deduced from total Hamiltonian and extended Hamiltonian with Lagrangian multipliers depending on time t and canonical variables q i and p i . When the multipliers reduced to only depend on time t, the motion equations exactly agree with the old results. Under the same conditions (Lagrangian multipliers depend on time t and canonical variables q i and p i ), the relation equations of coefficients in the generator of gauge transformation are deduced, but the equations have an additive term besides the well-known results. This additive term is from Lagrangian multipliers depending on canonical variables, and it might perform the gauge symmetries that needs to be discussed further. We examine the possibility for testing the weak parity non-conserving (pnc) interaction in pion-nucleon scattering at low energies. We start out analysis by assuming the existence of a pnc πNN coupling which conserves time reversal invariance and has the isospin selection rule ΔI = 1, and the existence of fixed-t dispersion relations obeyed by the pnc invariant amplitudes. By using the nonrelativistic expansion, we then derive dispersion relations for the partial-wave amplitudes.We calculate parity-odd observables in π?p → π?p and in π?p → π0n, e.g., the up-down asymmetry α in the total cross section for a polarized target and the longitudinal polarization P of the recoil nucleon. In the conventional Cabibbo model for the weak interaction P and α are found to be of order 10?7 to 10?8.We have also examined the t-channel pnc ?-exchange process which has the isospin selection rule ΔI = 0, 2 and found it to contribute dominantly to P in the charge-exchange channel π?p → π0n.  相似文献

K-shell dielectronic, trielectronic, and quadruelectronic recombination and polarization of X-ray emission have been studied for the highly charged Si9+ ions in the initial ground state 2P1/2 and the metastable state 2P3/2 using the Flexible Atomic Code. It is found that the resonant recombination cross section from the long-lived metastable state is comparable in magnitude with that of the ground state, so it is important for plasma diagnostics. For Si9+(2P1/2), trielectronic recombination contributions of nearly 25% to the total resonant recombination strength are predicted, which is less than previous calculations. We compare the degree of linear polarization for the eleven dominant resonant recombination satellite lines from the initial parent Si9+(2P1/2) and Si9+(2P3/2) ions. For the same X-ray lines, large variations of polarization are found between 2P1/2 and 2P3/2, which can be employed to diagnose formation mechanisms of intermediate resonance states and corresponding X-ray lines.  相似文献

We have analyzed pion photoproduction imposing constraints from fixed t dispersion relations and unitarity. Coupled integral equations for the S and P wave multipoles were derived from the dispersion relations and solved by the method of Omnès and Muskhelishvili. The free parameters were determined by a fit to the most recent data for π+ and π0 production on the proton as well as π production on the neutron, in the energy range 160 MeV ⩽ Eγ ⩽ 420 MeV. The lack of high precision data on the neutron and of polarization observables leads to some limitations of our results. Especially the multipole M1− connected with the Roper resonance P11 (1440) cannot be determined to the required precision. Our predictions for the threshold amplitudes are in good agreement with both the data and chiral perturbation theory. In the region of the Δ(1232) we have determined the ratio of electric quadrupole and magnetic dipole excitation. The position of the resonance pole is obtained in exellent agreement with pion-nucleon scattering, and the complex residues of the multipoles are determined with the speed-plot technique.  相似文献

Presently the investigations of decaying quantum mechanical systems lack a well-founded concept, which is reflected by several formal difficulties of the corresponding mathematical treatment. In order to clarify in some respect the situation, we investigate, within the framework of nonrelativistic quantum mechanics, the resonant scattering of an initially well localized partial wave packet ϕl(r, t). If the potential decreases sufficiently fast for r → ∞, ϕl(r, t) can be expressed at sufficiently long time after the scattering has taken place, as ϕl(r, t) = I(r, t) + ∑ Niϕl(Ki, r) exp {–iKi2 t/2M} × Θ(ki – γiMr/t), ϕl(Ki, r) being the resonant solution with complex “momentum” Ki = kii. From this heuristic relation one can deduce not only the probability for the creation of unstable particles but also obtain some hints to a connection between decaying states and physically nonisolable partial systems. On the other hand, this connection can perhaps display the inadequacy of attempts which suggest to solve the problem of decaying states within the usual Hilbert space methods.  相似文献

The quantum field theoretic treatment of inclusive deep-inelastic diffractive scattering given in a previous paper (Blümlein et al. in Nucl. Phys. B 755:112–136, 2006) is discussed in detail using an equivalent formulation with the aim to derive a representation suitable for data analysis. We consider the off-cone twist-2 light-cone operators to derive the target-mass and finite t corrections to diffractive deep-inelastic scattering and deep-inelastic scattering. The corrections turn out to be at most proportional to x|t|/Q 2, xM 2/Q 2, x=x BJ or x , which suggests an expansion in these parameters. Their contribution varies in size considering diffractive scattering or meson-exchange processes. Relations between different kinematic amplitudes which are determined by one and the same diffractive GPD or its moments are derived. In the limit t,M 2→0 one obtains the results of (Blümlein and Robaschik in Phys. Lett. B 517:222, 2001) and (Blümlein and Robaschik in Phys. Rev. D 65:096002, 2002).  相似文献

The polarization Py for the 3H(p, n)3He reaction was measured for energies between 2 and 4 MeV. Special care was given to minimizing the effects of background and to interpreting the experimental spectra. The new values for Py are significantly higher than previous values, and comparison to the available data for the analyzing power Ay for the same reaction now shows that in this energy range Py and Ay are equal within experimental uncertainties. This equality negates earlier conclusions that sizeable differences existed between these observables. In particular, our new results demonstrate that in this reaction the effects of charge symmetry breaking on differences between these observables must be small.  相似文献

We study various dynamical properties (winding angles, areas) of a set of harmonically bound Brownian particles (monomers), one endpoint of this chain being kept fixed at the origin 0. In particular, we show that, for long times t, the areas {A i} enclosed by the monomers scale like t 1/2, with correlated gaussian distributions. This has to be compared to the winding angles { i} around fixed points that scale like t and are distributed according to independent Cauchy laws.  相似文献

A unified treatment is given by using the scattering matrix in the Pauli spin spaces and polarization density matrices. Various quantities such as polarization P, asymmetry A, spin correlation parameters Cαβ, double polarization asymmetry Aαβ, polarization transfer parameters Dt, At, Rt and depolarization and spin rotation parameters D, A, R are expressed in terms of six coefficients which appear in the scattering matrix. The oligomer of bis-phenol A (oligo-PC) with M w = 1300 and bis-phenol A polycar-bonate (PC) with M w = 20 000 were deposited onto E-glass surface using SiCl4 as the grafting and cross-linking agent. Thickness of the deposited layers was varied from 30 to 106 nm and the layers were investigated as prepared and after thermal annealing at 245°C for 10 min in the air. Vibrational piezoelectric resonator technique and the speed of Rayleigh wave measurement were used to determine elastic moduli of the ultra thin layers deposited on flat E-glass substrate as a function of their thickness. In all cases, increase of the Young modulus of the interphase, E i, with decreasing layer thickness, t i, was observed. At a given thickness, the E i of PC layer was significantly lower than that for the oligo-PC layer. Thermal annealing of the deposited PC layer resulted in a significant increase of its E i compared to the as received layer. No significant change was observed for oligo-PC interphases. Increase of the shear strength of the interface, τ a, with reducing interphase thickness, t i, was observed. The observed increase of E i with the decreasing t i was ascribed to the reduction of the molecular mobility of chains near solid surface compared to their mobility in the bulk. Most probably, the observed increase of E i after thermal annealing of PC was caused by rearrangement of both segment density distribution in individual PC coils near the solid surface and cooperative rearrangements of multiple PC chains. Since the oligomers attached to the surface attained presumably more regular extended conformations with lower conformation entropy compared to the PC random coils, the effect of thermal annealing was negligible. In agreement with theoretical predictions, increase of E i at the same extent of interfacial interactions resulted in the observed increase of the τ a measured using the single embedded fiber test.  相似文献

The electron loss and electron capture cross sections σ i,i+m and σ i,im for boron ions and atoms traveling at the velocities V=1.19 and 1.83 a.u. in H2, He, N2, Ne, Ar, and Xe are measured. The known experimental data on these cross sections at velocities near the cross-section maximum are analyzed. It is found that the electron loss cross sections can be described by a formula which was previously derived in the free-collision approximation and takes into account features of both the ions and the ambient atoms. As the nuclear charge Z t of the ambient atoms increases, the cross sections vary nonmonotonically, increasing on average as Zt t 1/2 . A formula based on the model of independent electrons is proposed for electron capture by ions with small values of the charge i. It describes the dependence of the electron capture cross section σ i,i−1 on the mean binding energy of an electron in an ion with the charge i−1. The total electron capture cross section σ i,i−1 is proportional to the number of vacancies in the unfilled electron shell nearest the nucleus.
