The spatial dependence of the spin density oscillations σ(r) around Mn impurities in Al-Mn dilute alloys has been studied by 27Al four pulse NMR experiments. The concentration dependence of the magnetic broadening ΔHi12 of the 27Al line is found slower than linear. This result, together with the temperature dependence of the magnetic broadening as measured by CW NMR, demonstrates both the preasymptotic depression of σ(r) in Al-Mn and the long range damping of σ(r) associated with the finite mean free path at high T.  相似文献

A microscopic theory for the scattering of light from spin fluctuation pair modes in the two-dimensional Hubbard model is presented. Two-spin fluctuation processes with opposite momenta near the antiferromagnetic wave vectorQ=(, ) are shown to contribute in particular to the low energy part of the Raman cross section. We explicitly investigate the influence of the Raman vertex function that describes the coupling of the Raman vertex function that describes the coupling of the light to the electrons and distinguishes between the different scattering geometries. In addition we explore the dependence on the correlation strength and on the temperature.  相似文献

We present neutron scattering spectra taken from a single crystal of Na0.75CoO2, the precursor to a novel cobalt-oxide superconductor. The data contain a prominent inelastic signal at low energies ( approximately 10 meV), which is localized in wave vector about the origin of two-dimensional reciprocal space. The signal is highly dispersive, and decreases in intensity with increasing temperature. We interpret these observations as direct evidence for the existence of ferromagnetic spin fluctuations within the cobalt-oxygen layers.  相似文献

We have observed a quasi-elastic contribution to the spectrum of the transverse spin fluctuations Sperp;(Q, ω), perpendicular to an applied magnetic field in the easy plane of the one-dimensional ferromagnet CsNiF3. According to the present theoretical understanding this contribution is due solely to soliton quasi-particles and it should not contain two-magnon scattering. The observed dependence on momentum transfer is as expected for soliton scattering with zero intensity at qc = 0 rising through a maximum with increasing qc.  相似文献

We have observed the BCS-like density of states predicted for energy-gap suppression by nonmagnetic Anderson impurities in superconductors. We show that Mn impurities in Al exhibit no magnetic character and act exclusively as strong resonant scattering sites without producing time-reverse symmetry breaking of Cooper pairs (pair breaking).  相似文献

Quasielastic scattering from spin fluctuations has been observed in UPt3 by Raman spectroscopy. The experiments for wave vectors q≈0 show a nearly temperature independent linewidth for 5 K ⩽ T ⩽ 300 K Complementary to neutron scattering results this establishes the q independence of the spin relaxation rate, indicating the localized nature of the spin fluctuations. A Raman-active phonon near 79 cm-1 (10 meV) shows a drastic increase in line-width with decreasing temperature, demonstrating strong electron-phonon coupling.  相似文献

The magnetic form factor of each component of a ferromagnetic alloy has been measured for the first time. In the present experiment we analysed the CoNi alloy, which is particularly suitable for a neutron scattering investigation of this kind. However the method we are presenting can be applied to any ferromagnetic alloy if an adequate single-crystal is available.  相似文献

It is shown that in crystals neutron-photon interaction increases drastically. Spin wave dispersion relations in an antiferromagnetic ordered alloy of FePt3 were determined along three crystallographical axes by neutron scattering. Well defined magnon groups could be observed up to the magnetic zone boundary. The dispersion relation could be interpreted in terms of the Heisenberg model using more than four exchange parameters.  相似文献

Low temperature neutron scattering measurements on an amorphous alloy of composition Tb0.018 Fe0.982 reveal anomalous small-angle magnetic scattering similar to that observed in the more rare-earth-rich compounds TbFe2 and HoFe2. Inelastic and elastic neutron scattering as a probe of long range and disordered magnetism is discussed for example cases in rare earth intermetallic crystalline compounds and amorphous analogues. The determination of the sublattice site magnetizations is illustrated for RFe2 and Y6(MnxFe1−x)23 compounds. The latter are shown to exhibit strong exchange disorder effects for intermediate compositions, as manifested by the development of short range antiferromagnetic clusters. The effect of randomization of the crystal field interaction in destroying long range order is illustrated in amorphous rare earth compounds and in rare earth compound hydrides. Results of inelastic scattering measurements on Laves phase Fe, Co, and Al compounds are summarized which yield exchange and crystal field parameters.  相似文献

We use microfocus Brillouin light scattering spectroscopy to study the interaction of spin current with magnetic fluctuations in a Permalloy microdisk located on top of a Pt strip carrying an electric current. We show that the fluctuations can be efficiently suppressed or enhanced by different directions of the electric current. Additionally, we find that the effect of spin current on magnetic fluctuations is strongly influenced by nonlinear magnon-magnon interactions. The observed phenomena can be used for controllable reduction of thermal noise in spintronic nanodevices.  相似文献

The effective interaction induced by antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations is considered in the random phase approximation in the context of the recently discovered highT c oxide superconductors. Multiple scattering in the limit in which the constituent scatterers are far removed from each other is studied. It is seen how this situation leads, in the Watson multiple-scattering series, to the dominance of on-shell propagation between the constituents. It also yields a version of the Glauber multiple-scattering theory in which no assumption is made to the effect that the individual projectile-constituent scattering amplitudes are eikonal in form. This approach allows for the immediate extraction of Fresnel corrections to the Glauber result and explains several apparent contradictions as to the relationship between the Watson multiple-scattering series approximated with on-shell propagation only and the Glauber theory.  相似文献

Spin-wave dispersion relations have been determined in three principal symmetry directions for Heusler-type alloy Pd2MnSn. Analysis shows that the exchange parameters at large distances have an oscillatory character which can be interpreted in terms of the s-d interaction model. However the n.n and n.n.n. interactions have the opposite sign to that expected from the model and should be attributed to other mechanisms.  相似文献
