In the present article we report the dynamics of electronic spin–subbands, as well as subband–subband, hybrid entanglements in a two-dimensional anisotropic quantum dot. The dot is under the influence of Rashba effect and an external magnetic field. To study the hybrid entanglements, we partition the system into two categories in which either spatial degrees of freedom, subbands, entangle with the spin or the subbands become entangled amongst themselves. For the first case we calculate the von Neumann entropy, while for the latter the negativity is calculated. Our calculations show that for both cases information is periodically distributed between the corresponding subspaces. Effects of Rashba parameter and magnetic field on the characteristics of such oscillatory behavior are also discussed. For spin–subband entanglement the oscillations include dips, surrounded by plateaus of maximal entanglement. The subband–subband entanglement shows vanishingly small plateaus. The duration of plateaus is controlled by Rashba coupling and the external field.  相似文献

The present work is concerned with an analysis of the entanglement between the electronic coherent superpositions of spin states and subbands in a quasi-one-dimensional Rashba nanoloop acted upon by a strong perpendicular magnetic field. We explicitly include the confining potential and the Rashba spin-orbit coupling into the Hamiltonian and then proceed to calculate the von Neumann entropy, a measure of entanglement, as a function of time. An analysis of the von Neumann entropy demonstrates that, as expected, the dynamics of entanglement strongly depends upon the initial state and electronic subband excitations. When the initial state is a pure one formed by a subband excitation and the z-component of spin states, the entanglement exhibits periodic oscillations with local minima (dips). On the other hand, when the initial state is formed by the subband states and a coherent superposition of spin states, the entanglement still periodically oscillates, exhibiting stronger correlations, along with elimination of the dips. Moreover, in the long run, the entanglement for the latter case undergoes the phenomenon of collapse-revivals. This behaviour is absent for the first case of the initial states. We also show that the degree of entanglement strongly depends upon the electronic subband excitations in both cases.  相似文献

We introduce for SU(2) quantum spin systems the valence bond entanglement entropy as a counting of valence bond spin singlets shared by two subsystems. For a large class of antiferromagnetic systems, it can be calculated in all dimensions with quantum Monte Carlo simulations in the valence bond basis. We show numerically that this quantity displays all features of the von Neumann entanglement entropy for several one-dimensional systems. For two-dimensional Heisenberg models, we find a strict area law for a valence bond solid state and multiplicative logarithmic corrections for the Néel phase.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate entanglement between the nuclear spin and field mode in a GaAs semiconductor. The eigenfuctions of nuclear spin in the quantized external field are obtained and thus the von Neumann entropy is evaluated explicitly. It is shown that the von Neumann entropy monotonously increases with the spin-field coupling constant but monotonously decreases with the anisotropy energy.  相似文献

We study quantum correlation in a two-dimensional system of two Coulombically interacting electrons trapped in an anisotropic harmonic potential in dependence on the interaction strength. The linear entropy and von Neumann entropy that measure the entanglement between the electrons are compared with the correlation energy and the statistical correlation coefficient. We observe that the entanglement properties are dramatically influenced by the anisotropy of the confining potential.  相似文献

In this work, we investigate the effects of interplay of spin–orbit interaction and in-plane magnetic fields on the electronic structure and spin texturing of parabolically confined quantum wire. Numerical results reveal that the competing effects between Rashba and Dresselhaus spin–orbit interactions and the external magnetic field lead to a complicated energy spectrum. We find that the spin texturing owing to the coupling between subbands can be modified by the strength of spin–orbit couplings as well as the magnitude and the orientation angle of the external magnetic field.  相似文献

The photon–photon entanglement dynamics in a bimodal nanocavity, filled with a centrosymmetric nonlinear medium, is studied. In the present study, we have included the first and third order susceptibilities, giving rise to linear and the Kerr-type couplings. With no restrictions placed on the relative strength of these effects, we prove that the corresponding Hamiltonian is block-diagonal, each with ever-growing dimensions. We then show that, depending upon the initial total photon number, one needs to diagonalize a specific low-dimensional block, leading to the time evolution operator. Consequently, the time-evolution of the von Neumann entropy, as a measure of entanglement, is determined. From an analysis of the von Neumann entropy, we show that the entanglement exhibits oscillations, with plateaus, whose characteristics (period, duration, … ) strongly depend upon the strength of third order susceptibility. Moreover, it is shown that the entanglement is enhanced as the linear coupling is increased. The effect of detuning between photon's frequencies is also discussed.  相似文献

The single-copy entanglement of a given many-body quantum system is defined [J. Eisert and M. Cramer, Phys. Rev. A 72, 042112 (2005)10.1103/PhysRevA.72.042112] as the maximal entanglement deterministically distillable from a bipartition of a single specimen of that system. For critical (gapless) spin chains, it was recently shown that this is exactly half the von Neumann entropy [R. Orús, J. I. Latorre, J. Eisert, and M. Cramer, Phys. Rev. A 73, 060303(R) (2006)], itself defined as the entanglement distillable in the asymptotic limit-i.e., given an infinite number of copies of the system. It is an open question as to what the equivalent behavior for gapped systems is. In this Letter, I show that for the paradigmatic spin-S Affleck-Kennedy-Lieb-Tasaki chain (the archetypal gapped chain), the single-copy entanglement is equal to the von Neumann entropy; i.e., all the entanglement present may be distilled from a single specimen.  相似文献

This paper investigates the entanglement in the supermolecular dimer [Mn4]2 consisting of a pair of single molecular magnets with antiferromagnetic exchange-coupllng J. The conventional yon Neumann entropy as a function of the exchange-coupling is calculated explicitly for all eigenstates with the quantum number range from M = M1 + M2 = -9 to 0. It is shown that the yon Neumann entropy is not a monotonic function of the coupling strength. However, it is significant that the entropy of entanglement has the maximum values and the minimum values for most eigenstates, which is extremely useful in the quantum computing. It also presents the time-evolution of entanglement from various initial states. The results are useful in the design of devices based on the entanglement of two molecular magnets.  相似文献

Recently great attention has been addressed to the study of quantum correlations in systems of identical particles. Various definitions of entanglement for indistinguishable particles are present in the literature. Following Schliemann’s theory, here we perform a quantitative evaluation of the entanglement dynamics for electron-electron scattering in a 2D system in terms of the von Neumann entropy of the reduced one-particle density matrix. Our approach allows us to define the time of entanglement formation and to investigate the role of the space and spin degrees of freedom in the building up of quantum correlations. We study the nonlocal correlations and quantum entanglement for two deformed bosonic fields of arbitrary deformation parameters, q 1 and q 2, prepared in an entanglement of deformed coherent states. As a measure of entanglement, we use the von Neumann entropy and investigate its behavior for different strength regimes of the optical fields. We find that the photon number can enhance the von Neumann entropy, and the deformation parameters can restrain the system entanglement.  相似文献

Using the method of the Jordan--Wigner transformation for solving different spin--spin correlation functions, we have investigated the generation of next-nearest-neighbouring entanglement in a one-dimensional quantum Ising spin chain with the Gaussian distribution impurities of exchange couplings and external magnetic fields taken into account. The maximal value of entanglement between the next-nearest-neighbouring qubits in the transverse Ising model was analysed in detail by varying the effectively controlled parameters such as interchange coupling, magnetic field and the system impurity. For such systems, where both exchange couplings and external magnetic field disorder appear, we show that it is possible to achieve next-nearest-neighbouring entanglement better than the previously discussed pure Ising spin chain case. We also show that the Gaussian distribution impurity can induce next-nearest-neighbouring entanglement, which can be used as a means to characterize quantum phase transition.  相似文献

By use of the exact diagonalization method, the quantum phase transition and entanglement in a 6-Li atom system are studied. It is found that entanglement appears before the quantum phase transition and disappears after it in this exactly solvable quantum system. The present results show that the von Neumann entropy, as a measure of entanglement, may reveal the quantum phase transition in this model.  相似文献

The entanglement evolution of multipartite quantum states under a spin environment is analyzed. Due to interaction, the extent to which the entanglement vanishes depends not only on the size of system and the structure of quantum states, but also on the exchange couplings with environment. The decoherence-free subspaces have been identified by using the linear entropy.  相似文献

A Λ-type atom interacting with two radiation fields exhibits electromagnetically induced transparency and other nonclassical effects that appear in the entanglement dynamics of the atomic subsystem and in appropriate field observables. Both EIT and field-atom entanglement are important for quantum information processing. We investigate the roles played by specific initial field states, detuning parameters, field nonlinearities and intensity-dependent field-atom couplings on EIT and the entanglement between subsystems. Departure from coherence of the initial field states produces significant effects. We investigate these aspects in a model that exhibits the salient features of entangled tripartite systems. For initial photon-added coherent states, collapses and revivals of the atomic subsystem von Neumann entropy appear as the intensity parameter varies over a narrow range of values. These features could be useful in enabling entanglement.  相似文献

We study the entanglement property in matrix product spin-ring systems systemically by von Neumann entropy. We find that: (i) the Hilbert space dimension of one spin determines the upper limit of the maximal value of the entanglement entropy of one spin, while for multiparticle entanglement entropy, the upper limit of the maximal value depends on the dimension of the representation matrices. Based on the theory, we can realize the maximum of the entanglement entropy of any spin block by choosing the appropriate control parameter values. (ii) When the entanglement entropy of one spin takes its maximal value, the entanglement entropy of an asymptotically large spin block, i.e. the renormalization group fixed point, is not likely to take its maximal value, and so only the entanglement entropy Sn of a spin block that varies with size n can fully characterize the spin-ring entanglement feature. Finally, we give the entanglement dynamics, i.e. the Hamiltonian of the matrix product system.  相似文献

Dimerized phase and quantum entanglement are investigated in the one-dimensional spin-1 bilinear biquadratic model. Employing the infinite matrix product state representation, groundstate wavefunctions are numerically obtained by using the infinite time evolving block decimation method in the infinite lattice system. From a bipartite entanglement measure of the groundstates, i.e., von Neumann entropy, the phase transition points can be clearly extracted. Moreover, the even-bond and odd-bond von Neumann entropies show two different values in the spontaneous dimerized phase. It implies that the quantum entanglement can distinguish the two degenerate groundstates. Then, we define a dimer entropy in the spontaneous dimerized phase. Comparing to the dimer order parameter, the dimer entropy can play a role of a local order parameter to characterize the spontaneous dimerized phase.  相似文献

We propose that quantum phase transitions are generally accompanied by non-analyticities of the von Neumann (entanglement) entropy. In particular, the entropy is non-analytic at the Anderson transition, where it exhibits unusual fractal scaling. We also examine two dissipative quantum systems of considerable interest to the study of decoherence and find that non-analyticities occur if and only if the system undergoes a quantum phase transition.  相似文献
