A facile microwave-assisted ethylene glycol method is developed to synthesize the SnO2 nanoparticles dispersed on or encapsulated in reduced graphene oxide (SnO2-rGO) hybrids. The morphology, structure, and composition of SnO2-rGO are investigated by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscope, thermo-gravimetric analyzer, X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The electrochemical performance of SnO2-rGO as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries was tested by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge–discharge cycling, and rate capability test. It is found that the SnO2 nanoparticles with a uniform distribution have p-type doping effect with rGO nanosheets. The as-prepared SnO2-rGO hybrids exhibit remarkable lithium storage capacity and cycling stability, and the possible mechanism involved is also discussed. Their capacity is 1222 mAhg?1 in the first cycle and maintains at 700 mAhg?1 after 100 cycles. This good performance can be mainly attributed to the unique nanostructure, good structure stability, more space for volume expansion of SnO2, and mass transfer of Li+ during cycling.  相似文献

A facile sol-gel approach for the synthesis of lithium titanate composite decorated with N-doped carbon material (LTO/NC) is proposed. Urea is used as a nitrogen source in the proposed approach. The LTO/NC exhibits superior electrochemical performances as an electrode material for lithium-ion batteries, delivering a discharge capacity of as high as 103 mAh g?1 at a high rate of 20 C and retaining a stable reversible capacity of 90 mAh g?1 after 1000 cycles, corresponding to 100% capacity retention. These excellent electrochemical performances are proved by the nanoscale structure and N-doped carbon coating. NC layers were uniformly dispersed on the surface of LTO, thus preventing agglomeration, favoring the rapid migration of the inserted Li ion, and increasing the Li+ diffusion coefficient and electronic conductivity. LTO with the appropriate amount of NC coating is a promising anode material with applications in the development of high-powered and durable lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

A dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 was fabricated and employed as anode materials of lithium ion batteries (LIBs). The architecture and electrochemical performance of dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 were investigated through structure characterization and galvanostatic charge/discharge test. The as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 consisted of well-distributed nanoneedles (about 40 nm in width and about 5 μm in length) with rich micropores. Electrochemical experiments illustrated that the as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 as anode materials of LIBs exhibited high reversible specific capacity of 1430.0 mA h g?1 and 1013.4 mA h g?1 at the current density of 0.2 A g?1 for the first and 100th cycle, respectively. The outstanding lithium storage properties of the as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 might be attributed to its dandelion-like mesoporous nanostructure together with an open space between adjacent nanoneedle networks promoting the intercalation/deintercalation of lithium ions and the charge transfer on the electrode. The enhanced capacity as well as its high-rate capability made the as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 to be a good candidate as a high-performance anode material for LIBs.  相似文献

Hexagonal and cubic Li0.5TiO2 particles have been fabricated through magnesiothermic reduction of Li2TiO3 particles in a temperature range of 600 to 640 °C. The prolonged reduction time results in lattice transition from hexagonal to cubic structure of Li0.5TiO2. Their microstructures, valance state, chemical composition, as well as electrochemical performance as anode candidates for lithium ion batteries have been characterized and evaluated. The hexagonal Li0.5TiO2 exhibits better electrochemical activity compared with the cubic one. Further, the carbon-coated hexagonal Li0.5TiO2 displays improved electrochemical performance with initial reversible capacity of 176.6 mAh g?1 and excellent cyclic behavior except capacity fading in the initial 10 cycles, which demonstrate a novel anode candidate for long lifetime lithium ion batteries.  相似文献

We report a method by which we have produced nano-sized crystalline tin oxide (SnO2) particles with a rutile structure. We have employed thermal evaporation of solid Sn powders in ambient air. Samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The size of SnO2 particles in an agglomerated state was found to decrease on decreasing the synthesis temperature in the range of 700–850 °C. The product synthesized at a low temperature of 700 °C was comprised of a trace amount of tetragonal SnO phase. Photoluminescence spectra showed visible light emission, with its overall intensity being increased on increasing the synthesis temperature. V2O5-SiO2 hybrid material was fabricated by heat-treating a mixture of H2SiO3 and V2O5. SEM, TEM, XRD, and N2 isotherm analyses were performed to characterize the morphology and structure details of the as-prepared V2O5-SiO2. The possibility of using the as-prepared V2O5-SiO2 as anode material for aqueous lithium-ion batteries was investigated. Potentiostatic and galvanostatic results indicated that the intercalation/de-intercalation of Li+ in this material in aqueous electrolyte was quasi-reversible. It was also found that a discharge capacity of up to 199.1 mAh g?1 was obtained at a current density of 50 mA g?1 in aqueous solution of 1 M Li2SO4, a value which is much higher than the available reported capacities of vanadium (+5) oxides in aqueous electrolytes.  相似文献

Flower-like MoS2 supported on three-dimensional graphene aerogel (MoS2/GA) composite has been prepared by a facile hydrothermal method followed by subsequent heat-treatment process. Each of MoS2 microflowers is surrounded by the three-dimensional graphene nanosheets. The MoS2/GA composite is applied as an anode material of sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) and it exhibits high initial discharge/charge capacities of 562.7 and 460 mAh g?1 at a current density of 0.1 A g?1 and good cycling performance (348.6 mAh g?1 after 30 cycles at 0.1 A g?1). The good Na+ storage properties of the MoS2/GA composite could be attributed to the unique structure which flower-like MoS2 are homogeneously and tightly decorated on the surface of three-dimensional graphene aerogel. Our results demonstrate that as-prepared MoS2/GA composite has a great potential prospect as anodes for SIBs.  相似文献

A hierarchical MoS2 architecture composed of nanosheet-assembled microspheres with an expanded interplanar spacing of the (002) planes was successfully prepared via a simple hydrothermal reaction. Electron microscopy studies revealed formation of the MoS2 microspheres with an average diameter of 230 nm. It was shown that the hierarchical structure of MoS2 microspheres possesses both the merits of nanometer-sized building blocks and micrometer-sized assemblies, which offer high surface area for fast kinetics and buffers the volume expansion during lithium insertion/deinsertion, respectively. The micrometer-sized assemblies were found to contribute to the enhanced electrochemical stabilities of the electrode materials. The mentioned advantages of the MoS2 electrode prepared in this work allowed enhanced cyclability and high rate capability of the material. Along with this, the material delivered a high initial discharge capacity of 1206 mAh g?1 and a reversible discharge capacity of 653 mAh g?1 after 100 cycles at a current density of 100 mA g?1. Furthermore, the material delivered a high reversible capacity of 480 mAh g?1 at a high current density of 1000 mA g?1.  相似文献

In the present paper, we describe utilization of cathode active material as anode active material, for example, Li2MnSiO4. The lithium manganese silicate has been successfully synthesized by solid-state reaction method. The X-ray diffraction pattern confirms the orthorhombic structure with Pmn2 1 space group. The Li/Li2MnSiO4 cell delivered the initial discharge capacity of 420 mA h g−1, which is 110 mA h g−1 higher than graphitic anodes. The electrochemical reversibility and solid electrolyte interface formation of the Li2MnSiO4 electrode was emphasized by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

TiO2-reduced graphene oxide (RGO) composite was synthesized via a sol-gel process and investigated as an anode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). A remarkable improvement in sodium ion storage with a reversible capacity of 227 mAh g?1 after 50 cycles at 50 mA g?1 is achieved, compared to that (33 mAh g?1) for TiO2. The enhanced electrochemical performance of TiO2-RGO composite is attributed to the larger specific surface area and better electrical conductivity of TiO2-RGO composite. The excellent performance of TiO2-RGO composite enables it a potential electrode material for SIBs.  相似文献

Cu-supported SnO2@C composite coatings constructed by interconnected carbon-based porous branches were fabricated by annealing Cu foils with films formed by knife coating DMF solution containing SnCl2, polyacrylonitrile (PAN), and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) on their surface in vacuum. The carbon-based porous branches consist of amorphous carbon matrices, SnO2 nanoparticles with a size of 30–100 nm mainly encapsulated inside, and many micropores with a size of 1–5 nm. The three-dimensional (3D) porous network structures of the SnO2@C composite were achieved by volatilization of PMMA and pyrolysis of SnCl2. The SnO2@C composite coatings demonstrate good cyclic performance with a high reversible capacity of 642 mA h g?1 after 100 cycles at a current density of 50 mA g?1 without apparent capacity fading during cycling and excellent rate performance with a capacity of 276 mA h g?1 at a high current density up to 10 A g?1.  相似文献

CuS/graphene composite has been synthesized by the one-pot hydrothermal method using thiourea as the sulfur source and reducing agent. The formation of CuS nanoparticles and the reduction of graphene oxide occur simultaneously during the hydrothermal process, which enables a uniform dispersion of CuS nanoparticles on the graphene nanosheets. The electrochemical performance of CuS/graphene composite was studied as anode materials for lithium ion batteries. The obtained CuS/graphene composite exhibits a relative high reversible capacity and good cycling stability. The good electrochemical performance of CuS/graphene composite can be attributed to graphene, which improves the electronic conductivity of composite and enhances the interfacial stability of electrode and electrolyte.  相似文献

Li2Mn4O9 and molybdenum-doped Li2Mn4O9 have been prepared by simple solid-state method. Molybdenum is used as a dopant since it is resistant to both corrosion and high-temperature creep deformation. The structural, morphological, and electrical performances of the samples have been analyzed. The material exhibits a cubic structure with the fd3m space group. Using EDAX, the chemical compositions of the samples have been identified. The dc electrical conductivity of the Mo-doped (LM2) sample is found to be increased to 7.44?×?10?6 S cm?1 at 393 K. The enhanced electrical property of the molybdenum-doped Li2Mn4O9 reveals it as a feasible cathode material for rechargeable Li-ion batteries.  相似文献

A simple and highly efficient method is developed for in situ one-step preparation of carbon co-encapsulated anatase and rutile TiO2 nanocrystals (TiO2@C) with core-shell structure for lithium-ion battery anode. The synthesis is depending on the solid-phase reaction of titanocene dichloride with ammonium persulfate in an autoclave at 200 °C for 30 min. The other three titanocene complexes including bis(cyclopentadienyl)dicarbonyl titanium, cyclopentadienyltitanium trichloride, and cyclopentadienyl(cycloheptatrienyl)titanium are used instead to comprehensively investigate the formation mechanism and to improve the microstructure of the product. The huge heat generated during the explosive reaction cleaves the cyclopentadiene ligands into small carbon fragments, which form carbon shell after oxidative dehydrogenation coating on the TiO2 nanocrystals, resulting in the formation of core-shell structure. The TiO2 nanocrystals prepared by titanocene dichloride have an equiaxed morphology with a small diameter of 10–55 nm and the median size is 30.3 nm. Hundreds of TiO2 nanocrystals are encapsulated together by the worm-like carbon shell, which is amorphous and about 20–30 nm in thickness. The content of TiO2 nanocrystals in the nanocomposite is about 31.1 wt.%. This TiO2@C anode shows stable cyclability and retains a good reversible capacity of 400 mAh g?1 after 100 cycles at a current density of about 100 mA g?1, owing to the enhanced conductivity and protection of carbon shell.  相似文献

LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 particles of uniform size were prepared through carbonate co-precipitation method with acacia gum. The precursor of carbonate mixture was calcined at 800 °C, and a well-crystallized Ni-rich layered oxide was got. The phase structure and morphology were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The micro-sized particles delivered high initial discharge capacity of 164.3 mA h g?1 at 0.5 C (1 C?=?200 mA g?1) between 2.5 and 4.3 V with capacity retention of 87.5 % after 100 cycles. High reversible discharge capacities of 172.4 and 131.4 mA h g?1 were obtained at current density of 0.1 and 5 C, respectively. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were performed to further study the LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 particles. Anyway, the excellent electrochemical performances of LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 sample should be attributed to the use of acacia gum.  相似文献

Diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) nanoparticles of Sn1−x Er x O2 (x = 0.0, 0.02, 0.04, and 0.1) were prepared by sol–gel method. The X-ray diffraction patterns showed SnO2 rutile structure for all samples with no impurity peaks. The decrease in crystallite size with Er concentration was confirmed from TEM measurements (from 12 to 4 nm). The UV–Visible absorption spectra of Er-doped SnO2 nanoparticles showed blue shift in band gap compared to undoped SnO2. The electron spin resonance analysis of Er-doped SnO2 nanoparticles indicate Er3+ in a rutile lattice and also decrease in intensity with Er concentration above x = 0.02. Temperature-dependent magnetization studies and the inverse susceptibility curves indicated increased antiferromagnetic interaction with Er concentration.  相似文献

A crystalline structure of LiCoO2 sample was synthesized at different stirring times via sol-gel method. This was followed by the electrochemical characterization of LiCoO2 in 5 M LiNO3 aqueous electrolyte. The hexagonal LiCoO2 was stirred for 30 h produced the highest peak intensity and smallest particle size. A morphological analysis showed the particle size distribution within the range of 0.32–0.47 μm. At lower scan rates of cyclic voltammetry, three pairs of redox peaks at ESCE = 0.81/0.65, 0.89/0.83 and 1.01/0.95 V were observed. The peak separation was proportionally consistent with Li+ diffusion coefficients of 7.42 × 10?8 cm2 s?1 (anodic) and 3.59 × 10?8 cm2 s?1 (cathodic). For specific capacity, the LiCoO2 demonstrated a higher initial specific capacity (115.49 mA h g?1). A small difference (1.92 Ω) in the charge transfer resistance before and after a charge discharge analysis indicated that the Li+ ions had been well-diffused during the intercalation/de-intercalation process.  相似文献

Anatase TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by a simple sol-gel method at moderate temperature. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy revealed the exclusive presence of anatase TiO2 without impurities such as rutile or brookite TiO2. Thermogravimetric analysis confirmed the formation of TiO2 at about 400 °C. Particle size of about 20 nm observed by transmission electron microscopy matches well with the dimension of crystallites calculated from XRD. The electrochemical tests of the sol-gel-prepared anatase TiO2 show promising results as electrode for lithium-ion batteries with a stable specific capacity of 174 mAh g?1 after 30 cycles at C/10 rate. The results show that improvement of the electrochemical properties of TiO2 to reach the performance required for use as an electrode for lithium-ion batteries requires not only nanosized porous particles but also a morphology that prevents the self-aggregation of the particles during cycling.  相似文献

A novel facile approach to coat LiMn2O4 by lithium polyacrylate (PAALi) is demonstrated. The PAALi-coated LiMn2O4 (LMO@2%PAALi) and LiMn2O4 (LMO) are characterized by charge–discharge tests, X-ray diffraction (XRD), PAALi dissolving experiment, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetry (TG), and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES). XRD and FTIR analyses indicate that there are no clear differences between LMO@2%PAALi and LMO. PAALi dissolving experiment indicates that PAALi is indissolvable in LiPF6-EC/DMC/EMC electrolyte. TEM results reveal that LiMn2O4 particles are coated by PAALi. ICP-OES results indicate that this stable PAALi coating can prevent the Mn ions dissolving from active LiMn2O4 materials and then the stability of LiMn2O4 crystals in electrolyte are greatly enhanced. These unique features ensure that LMO@2%PAALi possesses much better rate performance, higher discharge capacity, better cycling performance, and lower charge transfer resistance over LMO. The discharge capacity of LMO@2%PAALi at 0.2 C reaches up to 127.2 mAh g?1 at room temperature.  相似文献

Niobium-doped MnO2/reduced graphene oxide (Nb-MnO2/RGO) composite has been successfully synthesized via a simple microwave radiation method. The samples were systematically studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TG), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and electrochemical measurements. As the anode material for lithium-ion batteries, the Nb-MnO2/RGO (molar ratio of Mn/Nb?=?50:1) (NMG50) showed an outstanding reversible discharge capacity of 556.6 mAh g?1 after 50 cycles with a capacity retention of 77% at a charge-discharge rate of 0.1 A g?1 and the reversible discharge capacity can still retain 223.3 mAh g?1 at a current of 1 A g?1, which is much higher than those for Nb-MnO2/RGO (molar ratio of Mn/Nb?=?10:1) (NMG10) and undoped MnO2/RGO (MG). The improved electrochemical performance could be attributed to the proper amount of Nb doping, which could enhance both the conductivity and the structure stability of MnO2.  相似文献
