为了制备适于原子干涉仪实验的低温锂原子样品,开展了锂原子的塞曼减速及与磁光阱囚禁相关的实验研究.设计并实现了一种结构紧凑的腔体内冷式多级线圈叠加的塞曼减速器,将速度小于600 m/s的7Li原子减速到60 m/s,磁光阱装载速率为5×108/s,囚禁原子数目1×109个,原子团的最低温度约为220±30μK.研究了光学黏胶中7Li原子的寿命与囚禁光频率失谐量的关系.这些结果为进一步开展7Li原子亚多普勒冷却、光势阱蒸发冷却以及原子干涉仪实验奠定了基础.  相似文献

研究表明,Rb原子磁光阱中所囚禁的原子数目对囚禁光的光强和失谐量,回泵光的强度以及磁场梯度有很大的依赖关系.用二能级系统模型对囚禁原子数目随囚禁光的光强和失谐量的变化关系进行了预估,理论预测的结果与实验结果定性符合.实验结果也展示了囚禁原子数目随回泵光的强度和磁场梯度的变化关系,要定量解释这些实验结果则需要更复杂的理论模型.通过囚禁原子数目对实验参数依赖关系的研究,得到特定的实验参数,来获得最大数目的冷原子. 关键词: 磁光阱 冷原子  相似文献

在获得光致原子解吸附(light-induced atom desorption,LIAD)效应的基础上,从理论和实验方面分析了LIAD对铯原子磁光阱装载的动力学过程的影响,特别是背景原子对磁光阱的影响.通过实验获得了不同光强和照射时间下关闭解吸附光后磁光阱中铯原子的衰减过程,理论模型定量地描述了背景铯原子造成压强的变化及其对最终平衡态下真空度的影响.该研究对中性原子的长时间俘获,有效控制磁光阱中原子的装载过程具有重要意义. 关键词: 光致原子解吸附 磁光阱 激光冷却与俘获  相似文献

The experiments on the laser cooling and trapping of ytterbium atoms are reported, including the two-dimensional transversal cooling, longitudinal velocity Zeeman deceleration, and a magneto-optical trap with a broadband transition at a wavelength of 399 nm. The magnetic field distributions along the axis of a Zeeman slower were measured and in a good agreement with the calculated results. Cold ytterbium atoms were produced with a number of about 107 and a temperature of a few milli-Kelvin. In addition, using a 556-nm laser, the excitations of cold ytterbium atoms at 1S0-3P1 transition were observed. The ytterbium atoms will be further cooled in a 556-nm magneto-optical trap and loaded into a three-dimensional optical lattice to make an ytterbium optical clock.   相似文献

介绍了吸收法测量冷原子数的原理以及对铯原子气室磁光阱中俘获的冷原子数目的测量过程及结果. 与通常的荧光收集法相比,在原理上与静止二能级原子同共振单模光场作用的模型更加接近,同时大大减小了测量中的误差累积,提高了测量精度. 测得的冷原子数为(8±0.3)×106,同时还利用测得的阱中俘获的稳态冷原子数和磁光阱中冷原子的寿命间接获得了磁光阱的俘获率. 关键词: 激光冷却与俘获 磁光阱 冷原子数目 俘获率  相似文献

量子投影噪声是影响光晶格钟的一个重要参数,提高磁光阱中装载率有利于降低量子投影噪声,可提升光晶格钟的性能.针对实验所用的汞原子单腔磁光阱,本文分析并计算了磁光阱中汞原子受力情况和一维运动规律,在此基础上用随机数方法对磁光阱中汞原子三维装载进行了数值计算,获得了磁光阱中的稳态原子数,研究了磁光阱的冷却激光的光强、失谐量以及磁场梯度等参数对稳态原子数的影响,得出了获得最优装载率的实验参数.涉及的计算方法和结论对汞原子光晶格钟的实验设计具有参考价值.  相似文献

We present analytical results and numerical simulations for the force exerted on moving atoms in the fields of two counterpropagating waves whose amplitudes or phases are described as stochastic processes. We assume that one field repeats the other with some delay, as would occur when the two fields derive from a common source through a beam splitter and mirrors. We show that, just as with the force exerted by the field of two counterpropagating sequences of π-pulses, or two counterpropagating bichromatic or frequency-modulated waves, the force on an atom in counterpropagating stochastic waves may considerably exceed the force exerted by the field of a single running wave. For comparison we also discuss the interaction of an atom with two counterpropagating waves when one of them is monochromatic and the other one has a stochastic phase. In this case the force substantially exceeds the force exerted by the field of a single running wave but appreciably smaller then the radiative force in the counterpropagating waves in which one field repeats the other with some delay.  相似文献

Absorption spectra of cold caesium atoms confined in a magneto-optical trap are measured around D_2 line at 852nm with a weak probe beam. Absorption reduction dip due to electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) effect induced by the cooling/trapping field in a V-type three-level system and a gain peak near the cycling transition are clearly observed. Several mechanisms mixed with EIT effect in a normal V-type three-level system are briefly discussed. A simple theoretical analysis based on a dressed-state model is presented for interpretation of the absorption spectra.  相似文献

利用全量子理论,研究了M个二能级原子分别与M个多模光场依赖于强度耦合的相互作用过程.结果表明,控制原子穿越腔场的时间,能够实现量子纠缠信息的传递与保持,即t1=π/(2λ)时,原子和腔场中的纠缠态可以相互交换,其结果利用数值计算原子纠缠度得以证明;当t2=π/λ时,原子和腔场中的纠缠态可以各自保持.  相似文献

介绍采用短程飞行时间吸收谱测量铯原子磁光阱(MOT) 中冷原子温度的基本原理及实验实现.与通常的飞行时间方法不同,采用短程飞行时间吸收谱来测量MOT 中冷原子云的温度.在MOT 区域正下方若干毫米处入射一束圆柱状共振探测光束(实验中对于h=3mm,5mm,8mm的情况均作了研究),释放冷原子云,在其膨胀和自由下落过程中穿过探测光束,即可由光电探测器测得飞行时间吸收谱,由此推得MOT中冷原子的温度. 关键词: 磁光阱 冷原子 飞行时间 短程飞行时间 铯原子  相似文献

We have developed Monte Carlo wave function simulation schemes to study cold collisions between magnesium atoms in a strong red-detuned laser field. In order to address the strong-field problem, we extend the Monte Carlo wave function framework to include the partial wave structure of the three-dimensional system. The average heating rate due to radiative collisions is calculated with two different simulation schemes which are described in detail. We show that the results of the two methods agree and give estimates for the radiative collision heating rate for 24Mg atoms in a magneto-optical trap based on the 1S01P1 atomic laser cooling transition.  相似文献

Summary We describe the interaction of a beam of two-level atoms with multiple laser beams propagating in the opposite direction. The lasers are frequency-chirped in order to remain close to resonance and they continuously decelerate the atoms by radiation pressure. In a deterministic treatment, the average atomic velocity exhibits multistability cycles as a function of the chirping rate. A statistical (Fokker-Planck) treatment shows the corresponding splitting of the atomic velocity distribution into well-separate, quasi-monokinetic bunches of atoms. In the laboratory reference frame, multistability shows up through the increasingly decelerated motion of these atomic bunches. Analytical results are presented, as well as numerical simulations for a beam of cesium atoms, both in the laboratory frame and in the non-inertial frame. The conditions for the observation of multiple cooling with frequency-chirped lasers are discussed. A comparison with standard chirped cooling is outlined. Possible applications are indicated.  相似文献

The characteristics of neutral chromium atoms in the standing wave field are discussed.Based on a semi-classical model,the motion equation of neutral atoms in the laser standing wave field is analyzed,and the trajectories of the atoms are obtained by simulations with the different divergence angles of the atomic beam.The simulation results show that the full width at half maximum(FWHM) of the stripe is 2.75 nm and the contrast is 38.5:1 when the divergence angle equals 0 mrad,the FWHM is 24.1 nm and the contrast is 6.8:1 when the divergence angle equals 0.2 mrad and the FWHMs are 58.6 and 137.8 nm,and the contrasts are 3.3:1 and 1.6:1 when the divergence angles equal 0.5 and 1.0 mrad,respectively.  相似文献
