In this paper, a new lattice hydrodynamic model based onNagatani's model [Nagatani T 1998 Physica A 261 599] ispresented by introducing the flow difference effect. The stabilitycondition for the new model is obtained by using the linearstability theory. The result shows that considering the flowdifference effect leads to stabilization of the system comparedwith the original lattice hydrodynamic model. The jammingtransitions among the freely moving phase, the coexisting phase, andthe uniform congested phase are studied by nonlinear analysis.The modified KdV equation near the critical point is derived todescribe the traffic jam, and kink--antikink soliton solutionsrelated to the traffic density waves are obtained. The simulationresults are consistent with the theoretical analysis for the newmodel.  相似文献

We present a new multi-anticipation lattice hydrodynamic model based on the traffic anticipation effect in the real world.Applying the linear stability theory,we obtain the linear stability condition of the model.Through nonlinear analysis,we derive the modified Korteweg-de Vries equation to describe the propagating behaviour of a traffic density wave near the critical point.The good agreement between the simulation results and the analytical results shows that the stability of traffic flow can be enhanced when the multi-anticipation effect is considered.  相似文献

Traffic congestion is related to various density waves, which might be described by the nonlinear wave equations, such as the Burgers, Korteweg-de-Vries (KdV) and modified Korteweg-de-Vries (mKdV) equations. In this paper, the mKdV equations of four different versions of lattice hydrodynamic models, which describe the kink--antikink soliton waves are derived by nonlinear analysis. Furthermore, the general solution is given, which is applied to solving a new model --- the lattice hydrodynamic model with bidirectional pedestrian flow. The result shows that this general solution is consistent with that given by previous work.  相似文献

A new two-dimensional lattice hydrodynamic model considering the turning capability of cars is proposed. Based on this model, the stability condition for this new model is obtained by using linear stability analysis. Near the critical point, the modified KdV equation is deduced by using the nonlinear theory. The results of numerical simulation indicate that the critical point a c increases with the increase of the fraction p of northbound cars which continue to move along the positive y direction for c = 0.3, but decreases with the increase of p for c = 0.7. The results also indicate that the cars moving along only one direction (eastbound or northbound) are most stable.  相似文献

A feedback control model of lattice hydrodynamic model is proposed by taking the information of the historic optimal velocity into account for the traffic system. The modern control theory is applied for the linear stability condition with feedback control signal. The result shows that the stability of traffic flow is closely related to the information of the historic optimal velocity. Furthermore, numerical simulations conform that the new feedback control did increase the stability of traffic flow efficiently, which is in accord with theoretical analysis.  相似文献

By introducing the traffic anticipation effect in the real world into the original lattice hydrodynamic model, we present a new anticipation effect lattice hydrodynamic (AELH) model, and obtain the linear stability condition of the model by applying the linear stability theory. Through nonlinear analysis, we derive the Burgers equation and Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation, to describe the propagating behaviour of traffic density waves in the stable and the metastable regions, respectively. By introducing a flow difference effect, a modified lattice two-lane traffic flow model is proposed, which is proved to be capable of improving the stability of traffic flow. Both the linear stability condition and the kink-antikink solution derived from the modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation are analyzed. Numerical simulations verify the theoretical analysis. Considering the effect of multiple flux difference, an extended lattice model is proposed to improve the stability of traffic flow. The stability condition of the new model is obtained by using linear stability theory. The theoretical analysis result shows that considering the flux difference effect ahead can stabilize traffic flow. The nonlinear analysis is also conducted by using a reductive perturbation method. The modified KdV (mKdV) equation near the critical point is derived and the kink-antikink solution is obtained from the mKdV equation. Numerical simulation results show that the multiple flux difference effect can suppress the traffic jam considerably, which is in line with the analytical result.  相似文献

Previously, most of the studies, especially the mathematical and simulation models, on pedestrian movement consider the flow at level routes.This study proposes a new lattice model for bidirectional pedestrian flow on gradient road. The stability condition is obtained by using linear stability theory. The nonlinear analysis method is employed to derive the modified Korteweg-de Vries(mKdV) equation, and the space of pedestrian flow is divided into three regions: the stable region, the metastable region, and the unstable region respectively. Furthermore, the time-dependent Ginzburg–Landan(TDGL) equation is deduced and solved through the reductive perturbation method. Finally, we present detailed results obtained from the model, and it is found that the stability of the model is enhanced in uphill situation while reduced in downhill situation with increasing slope.  相似文献

In this paper, a new lattice hydrodynamic model is proposed by incorporating the driver anticipation effect of next-nearest-neighbor site. The linear stability analysis and nonlinear analysis show that the driver anticipation effect of next-nearest-neighbor site can enlarge the stable area of traffic flow. The space can be divided into three regions: stab/e, metastable, and unstable. Numerical simulation further illuminates that the driver anticipation effect of the next-neaxest-neighbor site can stabilize tramc flow in our modified lattice model, which is consistent with the analytical results.  相似文献

In this paper,the lattice model is presented,incorporating not only site information about preceding cars but also relative currents in front.We derive the stability condition of the extended model by considering a small perturbation around the homogeneous flow solution and find that the improvement in the stability of traffic flow is obtained by taking into account preceding mixture traffic information.Direct simulations also confirm that the traffic jam can be suppressed efficiently by considering the relative currents ahead,just like incorporating site information in front.Moreover,from the nonlinear analysis of the extended models,the preceding mixture traffic information dependence of the propagating kink solutions for traffic jams is obtained by deriving the modified KdV equation near the critical point using the reductive perturbation method.  相似文献

Under the environment of vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication, the traffic information on a large scale can be obtained and used to coordinate the operation of road traffic system. In this paper, a new traffic lattice hydrodynamic model is proposed which considers the influence of multiple-lattice self-anticipative density integration on traffic flow in the V2V environment. Through theoretical analysis, the linear stability condition of the new model is derived and the stable condition can be enhanced when more-preceding-lattice self-anticipative density integration effect is taken into account. The property of the unstable traffic density wave in the unstable region is also studied according to the nonlinear analysis. It is shown that the unstable traffic density wave can be described by solving the modified Korteweg-de-Vries (mKdV) equation. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate the validity of the theoretical results. Both theoretical analysis and numerical simulations demonstrate that multiple-lattice self-anticipative density integration effect can enhance the stability of traffic flow system in the V2V environment.  相似文献

A thermodynamic theory is formulated to describe the phase transition and critical phenomena in pedestrian flow. Based on the extended lattice hydrodynamic pedestrian model taking the interaction of the next-nearest-neighbor persons into account, the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau (TDGL) equation is derived to describe the pedestrian flow near the critical point through the nonlinear analysis method. The corresponding two solutions, the uniform and the kink solutions, are given. This paper proposes two lattice traffic models by taking intoaccount the drivers' delay in response. The lattice versions of thehydrodynamic model are described by the differential-differenceequation and difference-difference equation, respectively. Thestability conditions for the two models are obtained by using thelinear stability theory. The modified KdV equation near the criticalpoint is derived to describe the traffic jam by using the reductiveperturbation method, and the kink--antikink soliton solutions relatedto the traffic density waves are obtained.
