A bidirectional hybrid dense-wavelength-division-multiplexing (DWDM)-passive optical network (PON) employing optical injection locking technique on vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) and data comparator, as well as optical injection locking technique on distributed feedback laser diodes (DFB LDs) and amplitude/phase compensator is proposed and demonstrated. Improved performances of bit error rate (BER) and carrier-to-noise ratio/composite second order/composite triple beat (CNR/CSO/CTB) were observed in our proposed bidirectional hybrid DWDM-PON. Bidirectional transmission in bidirectional hybrid DWDM-PON architecture is a very attractive option, the capacity of the optical network can be expanded relatively easily by bidirectional transmission technology.  相似文献

在卫星遥感中, 利用单次散射近似获得双向反射比与光学厚度之间的关系为卫 星反演气溶胶光学厚度奠定基础. 本文利用渐近积分理论, 在不需要人为垂直分层的情况下, 基于单次散射近似, 提出了一种计算非均质大气的双向反射比的新方法. 结果表明: 新方法得到的解析表达式有非常高的精度, 且该解析解也有助于我们分析辐射传输过程的一些重要特征.  相似文献

In this paper, a bidirectional Y type optical cross-connect structure is introduced. It minimizes the number of 2 × 2 optical switches by utilizing the route characteristic of a bidirectional Y type OTN node. The method to satisfy this route request by our OXC is demonstrated. The wavelength utilizing efficiency between our structure and the nonblocking bidirectional Y type OTN node has also compared. This article presents the architecture of an ASON testbed implemented in the EMPIRICO project, focusing on design and implementation issues of real-time provisioning of bidirectional optical connections supported by a distributed GMPLS-based control plane and triggered by the network management system. Experimental performance is evaluated over a unidirectional and a bidirectional all-optical OADM ring in which neither wavelength converters nor optical resources discovery are employed. Performance analysis evaluates the blocking probability and the connection setup time.  相似文献

We proposed and demonstrated a bidirectional SCM-WDM PON using a reflective filter and cyclic AWG where up/downlink data could be provided using a single optical source. In the proposed scheme, the signal for downstream was modulated by a single CW laser diode and remodulated in the optical network unit as an upstream, the proposed WDM-PON scheme can offer the SCM signal for broadcasting service. In this paper, 1 Gb/s signals both for up- and downstream were demonstrated in 10 km bidirectional optical fiber link.  相似文献

提出了一种新颖的双向波分复用网络结构,由多个分插复用器通过单模光纤连接而成。其中,分插复用器是基于声光效应和光纤布拉格光栅的反射特性制成的。由理论分析和实验得到的结果表明,该器件可实现一定数量信道的光信号的双向分插复用。这种双向波分复用光网络可按要求进行设计,使具有某种特征波长的光信号在设定位置的分插复用器中实现分插复用,使其按所设计的光路在波分复用网络中传输。  相似文献

星载大气痕量气体差分吸收光谱仪采用太阳辐射与漫反射板组合方式进行在轨光谱定标,以天底推扫方式对地观测,拥有114°的大视场. 为保证全视场光谱定标精度,此星载仪器的在轨光谱定标系统中的铝漫反射板需具有良好的朗伯特性,以保证在仪器观测视场内能够提供均匀的光源. 在实验室中利用双向反射分布函数测量仪,采用相对测量法对研制的铝漫反射板进行了朗伯特性测量. 分析结果表明,在波长180–880 nm、观测角度-70°–+70°范围内,铝漫反射板双向反射分布函数近似成余弦分布,具有较好的朗伯特性;并采用地面模拟在轨定标方法对星载仪器进行了光谱定标,定标结果表明最大偏差值为0.022 nm,满足定标精度优于0.05 nm的要求. 通过对实验测量的分析可知,研制的铝漫反射板可选作在轨定标系统的定标板. 关键词: 在轨光谱定标系统 铝漫反射板 双向反射分布函数 星载差分吸收光谱仪器  相似文献

We introduce a new configuration for large-core optical transceiver platforms based on asymmetric three-dimensional multimode Y junctions. We developed a simply structured bidirectional waveguide platform without using a wavelength division multiplexing filter or angled mirror. This structure was designed with two different size waveguides by using the three-dimensional ray-tracing method. This structure transmitted nearly 100% power in each direction, upstream and downstream. This simple and cost-effective structure was fabricated by the imprint process using a metallic master fabricated by an ultraprecision machining method. The experimental results show that this structure is suitable for bidirectional communications in large-core optical transceivers at 155 Mbits/s.  相似文献

In this article the influence of the asymmetric nature of (IP) traffic on the cost of the underlying optical transport network is investigated over a time frame of six years using a realistic traffic forecast for a European fiber-optic network. The currently deployed transport networks contain bidirectional optical line systems and are thus inherently symmetric, although the traffic that has to be conveyed over those networks is asymmetric. This article shows that a cost reduction of up to 38% can be obtained if the bidirectional line systems are replaced by unidirectional ones.  相似文献

Optical switches play an important role in all optical communication networks and multiprocessor computer systems. The 2×2 and 4×4 optical switches are the basic units of large-scale switch matrices. Using a conventional polarization control method, the optical switch system and structure is optimized, and a novel optical switch is proposed, which has the advantages of relatively low crosstalk and insertion loss, compact and simple construction, higher performance and cost effectiveness. First, a novel 2×2 optical switch is proposed using phase spatial light modulator (PSLM), polarizing beam splitter (PBS) and mirror. This configuration uses fewer optical components, is compact in structure, efficient in performance, and insensitive to polarization of the signal beam. Second, a new optical experimental module of 4×4 optical switch is presented by cascading a 2×2 optical switch. The routing method of polarization-independent bidirectional 4×4 optical switch is investigated. Finally, the operational characteristics of the polarization-independent bidirectional 2×2 and 4×2 optical switches are discussed in detail.  相似文献

A cost-saving, crosstalk-free and bidirectional optical add-drop multiplexer (B-OADM) based on cascaded thin-film optical add-drop filters (TFOADFs) with optical circulators as well as the optical protection function promptly restored at the access node for a single-fiber self-healing access ring network are proposed and demonstrated. Using this B-TFOADM configuration, no crosstalk appears on the dropped and added channels, respectively. The bit-error rate performances in this B-OADM are investigated in a 2.5-Gb/s DWDM system, showing no intraband and interband crosstalk-induced power penalties. Such crosstalk-free and bidirectional architecture greatly simplifies the hub complexity as well as the low-cost components at each node are employed.  相似文献

Integrated optical waveguides on board level gain more interest with growing bandwidth. Due to limited space on board level, a new approach is to use bidirectional optical transmission on one single waveguide, to save space. As manufacturing technique we used an ion exchange process, as this has proven to be highly scalable and can be easily integrated into current PCB manufacturing processes. We developed an optical coupler for application in bidirectional optical transmission paths on a single waveguide. Due to the highly multimodal character of the structure, we applied ray tracing techniques to analyse the optical properties. By such means efficiency calculations as well as a transient analysis were possible. We determined important parameters of the structure for optimisation of the coupling efficiency.  相似文献

在大气信道激光传输中,大气湍流对系统性能会产生较大影响,主要体现为降低传输速率和增加误码率。在具有信道互易性的双向激光传输链路中,两终端光斑信号强度的变化相关,可以在终端提取信道状态信息,以对信道影响进行补偿,从而提高传输速率。本文首先在弱湍流条件下,根据Rytov近似理论推导了平面波双向传输链路接收到的光斑信号的相关系数与传输路径的关系,并给出解析式。结果表明,两终端接收的光斑信号的光通量具有相关性,且相关系数与传输路径有关。进一步搭建了双向收发共轴激光传输系统,并进行了外场试验,试验结果不仅验证了双向大气信道激光传输链路具有互易性,且两接收端光斑信号光强的实时变化趋势相同。本文结论对实现大气信道高速率、低误码率激光传输具有重要意义。  相似文献

基于同一混沌信号光注入下两个1550 nm垂直腔面发射激光器 (VCSELs) 中两对应线性偏振模式之间的混沌同步, 提出了一种可实现信息的长距离双向双信道光纤混沌保密通信的系统模型, 并对该系统的同步、双向双信道通信以及光纤信道对信息传输的影响等性能进行了相关仿真研究. 结果表明: 在由驱动混沌激光器所产生的同一混沌光注入下, 两响应激光器中对应的两线偏振模式之间均可实现高质量的等时混沌同步, 且驱动激光器与两响应激光器间的同步系数较低; 基于两响应激光器之间对应线偏振模式的高质量混沌同步, 可实现双向双信道混沌通信; 采用单模保偏光纤 (或色散位移保偏光纤) 作为通信信道, 2.5 Gbit/s信息在传输60 km (或200 km) 后解调信息的Q因子能保持在6以上. 关键词: 垂直腔面发射激光器 (VCSELs) 双向双信道 混沌通信 光纤  相似文献

Subdivision is one of the essential methods to improve the measurement resolution of optical instruments. A novel method is studied to solve the λ/2n+2 bidirectional counting of orthogonal interference signals by constructing n sets of reference signals and using the zero-cross detection. The advantage of this method is that the effective bidirectional fringe counting can be achieved easily by the computer programming. This method can be used widely in the signal processing system of the optical measurement instruments, such as the Moiré fringe measurement instruments and the laser interferometers.  相似文献

由于光交叉连接器(OXC)在密集波分复用(DWDM)网络中起关键作用,文中提出一种采用双向环行器的新型光交叉连接器设计方案。其基本结构由一个双向环行器与一个光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)组成,构成一个2×2光交叉连接器,再根据这一基本结构设计出可满足实际需要的N×N光交叉连接器。此方法具有结构简单、体积小、价格便宜及所需环行器数量少(比传统的少67%) 等优点。最后,把新型光交叉连接器的插入损耗与传统结构连接器的插入损耗进行了比较。仿真结果表明,新结构比传统结构具有更小的插入损耗。  相似文献
