A nonlocal interaction theory is formulated for photoproduction processes by introducing a form function. An effective nonlocal, Lorentz invariant and gauge invariant Lagrangian density for the four-field interaction that gives rise to a production amplitude is constructed. The general structure of the form function is investigated by using some restrictions of the form function. For low energy 0 photoproduction an explicit form of the Fourier component of the form function is obtained. The physical model of the present formalism is to assume, similar to the strong absorption model, that the system in intermediate states is confined in a finite domain of space. For 0 production the linear dimension of this domain is obtained to be
0 = 3·88F. It is important to observe that the extent of electromagnetic distribution in a nucleon is also nearly the size of
0. This is believed to be the reason that in low energy pion photoproduction the effects of electromagnetic structure of a nucleon are irrelevant. The unpolarized differential and total cross sections are calculated for
0 production in helicity representation and the predictions are found to be in good agreement with experiments. 相似文献

In the framework of bound shell model we have calculated the photoproduction of charged pions on6Li when spin-isospin dipole resonance is excited. It is shown that the transition strength concentrates in several energy regions. Such a gross-structure of the excitation spectrum is governed by the configurational splitting of the resonance. The excitation spectrum in6Li(γ, τ)-reaction is compared with the6Li(τ, γ), (e, e′) and (n, p)-reaction spectra where spin-isospin transitions are dominating too. 相似文献

A Regge model with absorptive corrections is employed in a global analysis of the world data on positive and negative pion
photoproduction for photon energies from 3 to 8GeV. In this region resonance contributions are expected to be negligible so
that the available experimental information on differential cross-sections and single polarization observables at - t ⩽ 2 GeV^2 allows us to determine the non-resonant part of the reaction amplitude reliably. The model amplitude is then used
to predict observables for photon energies below 3GeV. Differences between our predictions and data in this energy region
are systematically examined as possible signals for the presence of excited baryons. We find that the data available for the
polarized photon asymmetry show promising resonance signatures at invariant energies around 2GeV. With regard to differential
cross-sections the analysis of negative pion photoproduction data, obtained recently at JLab, indicates likewise the presence
of resonance structures around 2GeV. 相似文献

Single pion photoproduction is studied in a single quark model in which a quark absorbs the photon and then emits the pion, propagating as a quark between the two interactions. Two different chiral bag models are used which allow for the coupling of the quarks to the pion. Surprisingly, the single quark model reproduces the results of phenomenological models and agrees with the experimental amplitudes to within 30% at threshold. 相似文献

Electron scattering and charged pion photoproduction at 200 MeV on12C and13C have been studied by the nuclear shell model to investigateM1 andE2 nuclear form factors of the isovector type. Starting with the Op-shell model of Hauge-Maripuu, the effects of core polarization by theM 3Y force and the one-pion-exchange current are taken into account. The effect of core polarization is found to be essential in both electron scattering and pion photoproduction, while the meson-exchange current, which also improves the calculated results, gives contributions of about 10%–15%. 相似文献

Model dependence of multipole analysis has been explored through energy-dependent and single-energy fits to pion photoproduction data. The MAID energy-dependent solution has been used as input for an event generator producing realistic pseudo data. These were fitted using the SAID parametrization approach to determine single-energy and energy-dependent solutions over a range of lab photon energies from 200 to 1200MeV. The resulting solutions were found to be consistent with the input amplitudes from MAID. Fits with a χ-squared per datum of unity or less were generally achieved. We discuss energy regions where consistent results are expected, and explore the sensitivity of fits to the number of included single- and double-polarization observables. The influence of Watson’s theorem is examined in detail. 相似文献

We present a pion photoproduction model on the free nucleon based on an Effective Lagrangian Approach (ELA) which includes the nucleon resonances (Δ(1232), N(1440), N(1520), N(1535), Δ(1620), N(1650), and Δ(1700)), in addition to Born and vector meson exchange terms. The model incorporates a new theoretical treatment of spin-3/2 resonances, first introduced by Pascalutsa, avoiding pathologies present in previous models. Other main features of the model are chiral symmetry, gauge invariance, and crossing symmetry. We use the model combined with modern optimization techniques to assess the parameters of the nucleon resonances on the basis of world data on electromagnetic multipoles. We present results for electromagnetic multipoles, differential cross-sections, asymmetries, and total cross-sections for all one pion photoproduction processes on free nucleons. We find overall agreement with data from threshold up to 1 GeV in laboratory frame. 相似文献

Partial-wave amplitudes for production and decay of baryon resonances are constructed in the framework of the operator expansion method. The approach is fully relativistically invariant and allows us to perform combined analyses of different reactions imposing directly analyticity and unitarity constraints. We investigate near-threshold neutral pion photoproduction off protons to fourth order in heavy-baryon chiral perturbation
theory in the light of the new data from MAMI. We show that the unitarity cusp at the secondary π+
n threshold is in agreement with expectations from the final-state theorem. We also analyze the fourth-order corrections to
the P-wave low-energy theorems and show that potentially large Δ isobar contributions are cancelled by sizeable pion loop effects.
This solidifies the parameter-free third-order predictions, which are in good agreement with the data.

All six exclusive single pion production processes from neutrino and antineutrino charged current interactions are studied in the energy range between 3 and 30 GeV. The inclusive pion spectra in the12C(γ,π) reaction are calculated in the distorted wave impulse approximation (DWIA). The final state pion-nucleus interaction was constructed within the framework of the multiple scattering theory.
