From a partial wave analysis of the (3π)o state in the charge exchange reaction π+n→π+π?πop, we observe strong unnatural parity as well as natural parity production. The observed strong unnatural parity states are identified with well-established resonances. The unnatural parity production is consistent with Reggeized Deck model predictions, with the exception of the I = 1, JP = 1+ state. Here there is no evidence for A1 production at ~1.1 GeV, but the data could support resonance production at higher masses.  相似文献

The elastic scattering of pions from3He and the single charge exchange reaction3He(π ?,π 0)3H are calculated in the energy domain of the (3,3)-resonance within the framework of Glauber's theory, including spin and isospin degrees of freedom in all orders. It is pointed out that, from the first minimum on, the differential cross section strongly depends on the parametrization of theπN amplitude, especially on its continuation into the unphysical region of momentum transfer. Single and double spin flip contributions prove to be very important in the charge exchange reaction. Within a modified version of Glauber's formalism, directly usingπN phase shifts rather than amplitudes, the3He charge exchange scattering is reexamined. Whereas the shape of the angle-integrated cross section as a function of pion energy is confirmed, the magnitude is still uncertain within a factor of 2.  相似文献

The double charge exchange reaction3He(K?,π +)Xn was studied at 870 MeV/c. In the X missing mass range below the sigma-nucleon production threshold (2130 MeV/c2), events were detected which can be attributed to the two-nucleon process pp(K?,π +)λn. This reaction and mass range also offers good prospects for finding theI=1/2,l=1 (1 P1) spin-singlet dibaryon Ds suggested as the lowest massS=?1 dibaryon in the MIT Bag Model. Although the existence of the Ds is not ruled out by the present data, there is no need to invoke such an object to account for the observed events below σ production threshold. We show that the cross section level for these events is compatible with a dominant two-nucleon mechanism K?p→π 0λ,π 0p →π +n. We also offer an interpretation of the recent (K?,K+) data on nuclear targets from Iijimaet al., which display a broad peak centered around a K+ momentum of 600 MeV/c. We find that the two-nucleon mechanism K?N →πY,πN→K+Y produces cross sections which are at least an order of magnitude smaller than those observed, and we suggest that the one nucleon process K?p →Φλ, followed by the decayΦ → K+K?, accounts for the data.  相似文献

Analog (π+, π0) charge exchange on 13C in the (3, 3) resonance region is considered within a modified eikonal formalism, which makes use of traditional eikonalization only for pion-nuclear processes, but not for pion-nucleon processes. Corrections to DWIA, based on two-step processes as suggested by Eisenberg and Gal are evaluated. The calculated charge exchange total cross section is found to increase due to these corrections by 15 %, and is still well below the measured one for Tπ > 150 MeV.  相似文献

The recent data at 10.1 GeV/c on the hypercharge reactions π+p → K+Σ+ (1385) and the line reversed processes are compared with the SU3 related charge exchange processes K+n → Kop and K+p →KoΔ++ and their line reversed partners in order to study the systematics of line reversal breaking. Allowing for a t- independent SU3 breaking between charge and hypercharge exchange the data follow the SU3 relations. We conclude that the line reversal breaking in the hypercharge exchange reactions is in agreement with the breaking in exchange degeneracy (in both flip and non-flip amplitudes) which is observed for the charge exchange processes.  相似文献

A microscopic model for the pd → + reaction is constructed using two-body isobar wave functions containing the Δ(1236). This model results in an analytical form for the reaction cross section and so it is possible to check the validity of those more approximate models that relate the pd → + cross section to the pp → dπ+ cross section. The calculations are performed at the three proton lab energies of 400, 470 and 600 MeV.  相似文献

The two-pion exchange charge density operators are derived in the static approximation. Their contributions to the charge form factors of 3He and 3H are investigated with the use of simple wave functions and are found to be appreciable at high momentum transfer (3 to 5 fm?1). It is also shown that the exchange charge density modifies the enhancement factor of the electric dipole sum rule by around 10%. The distinguishing feature between the isoscalar and isovector exchange charge densities is pointed out.  相似文献

We report on the results of a partial-wave analysis of the 3π system produced by baryon exchange in the reaction K?p→Σ?π+π+π? at 4.2 GeV/c. We confirm the existence of an enhancement in the 1+S() wave as previously established from a Dalitz plot analysis of the same data. The phase variation of this wave is found to be consistent with that expected for a resonance and thus the enhancement is identified with A1 production. No clear signal for this state is found in either the reaction K?p→Σ+π+π+π?π? or K?p→Λπ+π?π0. We also find production via baryon exchange of the A2 in all three reactions and the ω and ω1 (1975) in the third reaction.  相似文献

The damping of the giant spin-flip dipole (L=1, S=1, T=1, Jπ=0, 1, 2) and spin-flip quadrupole (L=2, S=1, T=1, Jπ=1+, 2+, 3+) charge exchange resonances in 90Zr is calculated in a microscopic nuclear structure model which includes both one-particle-one-hole (1p1h) and two-particle-two-hole (2p2h) configurations in a systematic way. It is shown that the coupling to 2p2h configurations gives rise to a strongly energy dependent spreading width which shifts a large fraction of transition strength to high excitation energies. The implications for the analysis of intermediate energy 90Zr(p,n) data is discussed.  相似文献

The reactionγ+4He→3H+n+π + is calculated in the impulse approximation. The influence of nuclear wave functions on the differential cross section is discussed numerically using Gaussian and Irving-Gunn wave functions for the triton and the α-particle. Untruncated shell model calculations in the 1s-0d shell using Chung-Wildenthal effective interactions have been performed for 20Ne and the electron scattering form factors for elastic scattering and for the excitation of 21+, 21+ and 23+ states have been examined. Saxon-Woods wave functions and a phase-shift analysis have been used. It is shown that within the limited space of the 1s-0d shell, it is possible to obtain vastly different momentum transfer dependence for the electro-excitation of ΔJπ = 2+ transitions. The 21+ and 22+ states are seen to be adequately described by the wave functions obtained in this calculation, but 23+ is not described well.  相似文献

We have measured the cross section for the reaction12 C(π +,π ++p)11B in a coincidence experiment with an incident pion energy of 100 MeV and find that the residual11B nucleus remains predominantly in the ground state. The mean lifetime of the hypernucleus Λ3H has been measured in a helium bubble chamber with the result, τ(Λ3H)=(2.46?0.41+0.62)×10?10 sec, based on 16 examples of the decay mode Λ3H→π?+3He and 24 examples of the decay mode Λ3H→π?+p+d. The decay branching ratio R3 = Γ(Λ3H → π?+3He)/Γ(Λ3H → all π? modes) has been estimated to be 0.30 ± 0.07.  相似文献

The use of the (p, π?) reaction as a probe to determine Δ++(1232) components of nuclear wave functions is examined within the framework of a model which treats baryon resonances on the same footing as nucleons. Nuclear structure properties which affect the Δ -probability are discussed. Estimates of cross sections, at several energies, are made for the Δ++ transfer contribution as well as for the competing processes: proton charge exchange (p, n) followed by an (n, π?) reaction; emission of a π0 followed by pion charge exchange (π?, π0) . Even with Δ-probabilities as small as 0.0001 the Δ-transfer process can compete with ordinary background charge-exchange reactions.  相似文献

A parital wave analysis of the (Kππ) system produced in K?p → (K?π?π+)p at 10 and 16 GeV/c has been performed. It is found that in 88% of the cases the Kππ) system is in unnatural spin-parity (JP) states 0?, 1+, 2? …, with contributions from many decay modes, κπ, K1(890)π, K1(1420)π, K?, K? and Kf. More than one decay m and JP state are required to describe the Q and L enhancements, suggesting a composite structure of these enhancements. The (Kππ) system is produced dominantly (~95%) by natural parity exchange. Overall, the production mechanism of the (Kππ) system is remarkably similar to that of the 3π system in π?p → (π?π?π+)p, even i detailed spin-parity structure.  相似文献
