The synthesis and characterization (X-ray crystallography, UV/vis spectroscopy, electrochemistry, ESI-MS, and (1)H, (13)C, and (59)Co NMR) of the complexes [Co(L)(O(2)CO)]ClO(4)xH(2)O (L = tpa (tpa = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine) (x = 1), pmea (pmea = bis((2-pyridyl)methyl)-2-((2-pyridyl)ethyl)amine) (x = 0), pmap (pmap = bis(2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl)(2-pyridylmethyl)amine) (x = 0), tepa (tepa = tris(2-(2-pyridyl)ethyl)amine) (x = 0)) which contain tripodal tetradentate pyridyl ligands and chelated carbonate ligands are reported. The complexes display different colors in both the solid state and solution, which can be rationalized in terms of the different ligand fields exerted by the tripodal ligands. Electrochemical data show that [Co(tepa)(O(2)CO)](+) is the easiest of the four complexes to reduce, and the variation in E(red.) values across the series of complexes can also be explained in terms of the different ligand fields exerted by the tripodal ligands, as can the (59)Co NMR data which show a chemical shift range of over 2000 ppm for the four complexes. [Co(pmea)(O(2)CO)](+) is fluxional in aqueous solution, and VT NMR spectroscopy ((1)H and (13)C) in DMF-d(7) (DMF = dimethylformamide) over the temperature range -25.0 to 75.0 degrees C are consistent with inversion of the unique six-membered chelate ring. This process shows a substantial activation barrier (DeltaG(#) = 58 kJ mol(-1)). The crystal structures of [Co(tpa)(O(2)CO)]ClO(4)xH(2)O, [Co(pmea)(O(2)CO)]ClO(4).3H(2)O, [Co(pmap)(O(2)CO)]ClO(4), and [Co(tepa)(O(2)CO)]ClO(4) are reported, and the complexes containing the asymmetric tripodal ligands pmea and pmap both crystallize as the 6-isomer. The carbonate complexes all show remarkable stability in 6 M HCl solution, with [Co(pmap)(O(2)CO)](+) showing essentially no change in its UV/vis spectrum over 4 h in this medium. The chelated bicarbonate complexes [Co(pmea)(O(2)COH)]ZnCl(4), [Co(pmap)(O(2)COH)][Co(pmap)(O(2)CO)](ClO(4))(3), [Co(pmap)(O(2)COH)]ZnCl(4)xH(2)O, and [Co(pmap(O(2)COH)]ZnBr(4)x2H(2)O can be isolated from acidic aqueous solution, and the crystal structure of [Co(pmap)(O(2)COH)]ZnCl(4)x3H(2)O is reported. The stability of the carbonate complexes in acid is explained by analysis of the crystallographic data for these, and other slow to hydrolyze chelated carbonate complexes, which show that the endo (coordinated) oxygen atoms are significantly hindered by atoms on the ancillary ligands, in contrast to complexes such as [Co(L)(O(2)CO)](+) (L = (NH(3))(4), (en)(2), tren, and nta), which undergo rapid acid hydrolysis and which show no such steric hindrance.  相似文献

The synthesis, characterization, X-ray crystal structures, and reactivity in aqueous acidic solution of the Co(III) carbonate complexes [Co(tpa)(O2CO)]ClO4.H2O, [Co(Me-tpa)(O2CO)]ClO4.0.5H2O, [Co(Me2-tpa)(O2CO)]ClO4.0.5H2O, and [Co(Me3-tpa)(O2CO)]ClO4 are reported (tpa = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine; Me-tpa, Me2-tpa, and Me3-tpa are derivatives of tpa containing one, two, and three 6-methylpyridyl rings, respectively). The complexes display very different spectroscopic and 59Co NMR properties, consistent with the decreasing ligand field strength of the tripodal amine ligands in the order tpa > Me-tpa > Me(2)-tpa > Me3-tpa. X-ray structural data show an increase in the average Co-N bond distances as the number of methyl groups on the tripodal amine ligand increases, and this is the result of steric interactions between the methyl groups and the carbonate ligand and between the methyl groups themselves. Rate data for the acid hydrolysis of [Co(tpa)(O2CO)]+ (I = 1.0 M (NaClO4), 25.0 degrees C) over the [HClO4] range of 0.10-1.0 M are consistent with a previously proposed mechanism involving protonation of the carbonate ligand prior to ring-opening, but the equilibrium constant for protonation is smaller in this case than those obtained previously, as is the equilibrium constant for proton transfer from the exo to the endo O atoms. Comparative rate data ([HCl] = 6.0 M, 25.0 degrees C) for the four complexes show that those containing methylated ligands undergo acid hydrolysis between 25 and 90 times more slowly than [Co(tpa)(O2CO)]+ under the same conditions, and it is proposed that this rate difference is a result of steric factors. Inspection of space-filling diagrams shows that one of the endo oxygen atoms is significantly sterically hindered by the methyl groups of the tripodal amine ligands, thus inhibiting protonation at this site and leading to slower observed rates of hydrolysis. The results obtained in this study are consistent with the endo oxygen atoms being the mechanistically important site of protonation in the acid hydrolysis of metal complexes containing chelated carbonate.  相似文献

The synthesis and magnetic properties of 13 new homo- and heterometallic Co(II) complexes containing the artificial amino acid 2-amino-isobutyric acid, aibH, are reported: [Co(II)(4)(aib)(3)(aibH)(3)(NO(3))](NO(3))(4)·2.8CH(3)OH·0.2H(2)O (1·2.8CH(3)OH·0.2H(2)O), {Na(2)[Co(II)(2)(aib)(2)(N(3))(4)(CH(3)OH)(4)]}(n) (2), [Co(II)(6)La(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(4)(CH(3)CN)(2)]·0.5[La(NO(3))(6)]·0.75(ClO(4))·1.75(NO(3))·3.2CH(3)CN·5.9H(2)O (3·3.2CH(3)CN·5.9H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Pr(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)(6)]·[Pr(NO(3))(5)]·0.41[Pr(NO(3))(3)(ClO(4))(0.5)(H(2)O)(1.5)]·0.59[Co(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)]·0.2(ClO(4))·0.25H(2)O (4·0.25H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Nd(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(2.8)(CH(3)OH)(4.7)(H(2)O)(1.5)]·2.7(ClO(4))·0.5(NO(3))·2.26CH(3)OH·0.24H(2)O (5·2.26CH(3)OH·0.24H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Sm(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)(6)]·[Sm(NO(3))(5)]·0.44[Sm(NO(3))(3)(ClO(4))(0.5)(H(2)O)(1.5)]·0.56[Co(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)]·0.22(ClO(4))·0.3H(2)O (6·0.3H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Eu(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)OH)(4.87)(H(2)O)(1.13)](ClO(4))(2.5)(NO(3))(0.5)·2.43CH(3)OH·0.92H(2)O (7·2.43CH(3)OH·0.92H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Gd(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(2.9)(CH(3)OH)(4.9)(H(2)O)(1.2)]·2.6(ClO(4))·0.5(NO(3))·2.58CH(3)OH·0.47H(2)O (8·2.58CH(3)OH·0.47H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Tb(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)(6)]·[Tb(NO(3))(5)]·0.034[Tb(NO(3))(3)(ClO(4))(0.5)(H(2)O)(0.5)]·0.656[Co(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)]·0.343(ClO(4))·0.3H(2)O (9·0.3H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Dy(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(2.9)(CH(3)OH)(4.92)(H(2)O)(1.18)](ClO(4))(2.6)(NO(3))(0.5)·2.5CH(3)OH·0.5H(2)O (10·2.5CH(3)OH·0.5H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Ho(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)(6)]·0.27[Ho(NO(3))(3)(ClO(4))(0.35)(H(2)O)(0.15)]·0.656[Co(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)]·0.171(ClO(4)) (11), [Co(II)(6)Er(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(4)(NO(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(2.5)(H(2)O)(3.5)](ClO(4))(3)·CH(3)CN·0.75H(2)O (12·CH(3)CN·0.75H(2)O), and [Co(II)(6)Tm(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)(6)]·1.48(ClO(4))·1.52(NO(3))·3H(2)O (13·3H(2)O). Complex 1 describes a distorted tetrahedral metallic cluster, while complex 2 can be considered to be a 2-D coordination polymer. Complexes 3-13 can all be regarded as metallo-cryptand encapsulated lanthanides in which the central lanthanide ion is captivated within a [Co(II)(6)] trigonal prism. dc and ac magnetic susceptibility studies have been carried out in the 2-300 K range for complexes 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13, revealing the possibility of single molecule magnetism behavior for complex 10.  相似文献

A recently reported binuclear zinc hydroxide complex [(L(1)Zn(2))(mu-OH)](ClO(4))(2) (, L(1) = 2,6-bis[(bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amino)methyl]-4-methylphenolate monoanion) containing a single bridging hydroxide was examined for thioester hydrolysis reactivity. Treatment of it with hydroxyphenylthioacetic acid S-methyl ester in dry CD(3)CN results in no reaction after approximately 65 h at 45(1) degrees C. Binuclear zinc hydroxide complexes of the N-methyl-N-((6-neopentylamino-2-pyridyl)methyl)-N-((2-pyridyl)methyl)amine (L(2)) and N-methyl-N-((6-neopentylamino-2-pyridyl)methyl)-N-((2-pyridyl)ethyl)amine (L(3)) chelate ligands were prepared by treatment of each ligand with molar equivalent amounts of Zn(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O and KOH in methanol. These complexes, [(L(2)Zn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2) and [(L(3)Zn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (), which have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography, behave as 1 : 1 electrolytes in acetonitrile, indicating that the binuclear cations dissociate into monomeric zinc hydroxide species in solution. Treatment of them with one equivalent of hydroxyphenylthioacetic acid S-methyl ester per zinc center in acetonitrile results in the formation of a zinc alpha-hydroxycarboxylate complex, [(L(2))Zn(O(2)CCH(OH)Ph)]ClO(4).1.5H(2)O or [(L(3))Zn(O(2)CCH(OH)Ph)]ClO(4).1.5H(2)O, and CH(3)SH. These reactions, to our knowledge, are the first reported examples of thioester hydrolysis mediated by zinc hydroxide complexes. The results of this study suggest that a terminal Zn-OH moiety may be required for hydrolysis reactivity with a thioester substrate.  相似文献

The influences of the nature of reactants and water on the self-assembly of cationic Cu(II) complex structures containing N-(2-pyridylmethyl)glycine (Hpgly) and N-(2-pyridylmethyl)-l-alanine (Hpala) ligands have been investigated. A metallamacrocycle [Cu(6)(pgly)(3)(spgly)(3)] (ClO(4))(6).9H(2)O has been formed by the reaction of [Cu(pgly)(2)].2H(2)O with Cu(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O. The hexameric cation has Schiff base and reduced Schiff base ligands alternatively bonded to Cu(II) to provide cyclohexane-like conformation with a cavity diameter of 9.4 A. The reaction of Cu(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O with Hpgly.HCl yielded [Cu(pgly)(H(2)O)](ClO(4)), which is presumed to have 1D coordination polymeric structure. A [K subset [12-MC-3]] metallacrown, [K(ClO(4))(3)[Cu(3)(pala)(3)]](ClO(4)) has been isolated by reacting Cu(ClO(4))(2) with Kpala in MeCN/MeOH. This [K subset [12-MC-3]] metallacrown further reacts with water to form an infinite 1D coordination polymer [Cu(pala)(H(2)O)(ClO(4))](n)(), which can also be obtained by conducting the reaction in aqueous MeOH.  相似文献

The photolytic kinetic properties of a new series of intramolecular bridged alkyl cobaloxime complexes Br(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmgH))(dmgH))Co(III)(2), [H(2)O(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmg))(dmgH(2))]Co(III)[ClO(4)(3), ]Py(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmg))(dmgH(2))[Co(III)]ClO(4)(4), [Bzm(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmg))(dmgH(2))]Co(III)[ClO(4)(5) and ]Im(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmg))(dmgH(2))[Co(III)]ClO(4)(6) and their precursor aqua-(3-bromopropyl)cobaloximes (1) were investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The products of photolytic solutions were characterized by both ESI-MS and (1)H-NMR techniques. Our results revealed a carbon-center radical that is produced from Co-C bond cleavage under photolysis might be linked to the equatorial ligand and thus retained in the proximity of Co(II)-complex. The thermo-gravimetric analysis of complex 2 gives the same conclusion.  相似文献

Three 5,5'-dicarbamate-2,2'-bipyridine ligands (L = L(1)-L(3)) bearing ethyl, isopropyl or tert-butyl terminals, respectively, on the carbamate substituents were synthesized. Reaction of the ligands L with the transition metal ions M = Fe(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+) or Ru(2+) gave the complexes ML(n)X(2)·xG (1-12, n = 1-3; X = Cl, NO(3), ClO(4), BF(4), PF(6), ?SO(4); G = Et(2)O, DMSO, CH(3)OH, H(2)O), of which [Fe(L(2))(3)???SO(4)]·8.5H(2)O (2), [Fe(L(1))(3)???(BF(4))(2)]·2CH(3)OH (7), [Fe(L(2))(3)???(Et(2)O)(2)](BF(4))(2)·2CH(3)OH (8), [ZnCl(2)(L(1))][ZnCl(2)(L(1))(DMSO)]·2DMSO (9), [Zn(L(1))(3)???(NO(3))(2)]·2H(2)O (10), [Zn(L(2))(3)???(ClO(4))(Et(2)O)]ClO(4)·Et(2)O·2CH(3)OH·1.5H(2)O (11), and [Cu(L(1))(2)(DMSO)](ClO(4))(2)·2DMSO (12) were elucidated by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. In the complexes ML(n)X(2)·xG the metal ion is coordinated by n = 1, 2 or 3 chelating bipyridine moieties (with other anionic or solvent ligands for n = 1 and 2) depending on the transition metal and reaction conditions. Interestingly, the carbamate functionalities are involved in hydrogen bonding with various guests (anions or solvents), especially in the tris(chelate) complexes which feature the well-organized C(3)-clefts for effective guest inclusion. Moreover, the anion binding behavior of the pre-organized tris(chelate) complexes was investigated in solution by fluorescence titration using the emissive [RuL(3)](2+) moiety as a probe. The results show that fluorescent recognition of anion in solution can be achieved by the Ru(II) complexes which exhibit good selectivities for SO(4)(2-).  相似文献

Zinc metal reduction of the cobalt(III) complex [Co(1,4-bcc)](+) (1,4-bcc = 1,4-bis-carboxymethylcyclam) produces the corresponding cobalt(II) complex which crystallises as the coordination polymer {[Co(1,4-bcc)]ZnCl(2)}(n). A method has been developed for removal of the cobalt(III) ion from [Co(1,4-bcc)](+) and isolation of the free ligand as its hydrochloride salt, H(2)(1,4-bcc).4HCl. This has been used for the preparation of new metal complexes, and the syntheses and characterisation of the copper(ii), nickel(ii), zinc(ii) and chromium(iii) complexes containing the 1,4-bcc ligand are described. X-Ray crystal structures of {[Co(1,4-bcc)]ZnCl(2)}(n).2.5H(2)O, {[Cu(1,4-bcc)]CuCl(2)}(n).0.25MeOH.H(2)O and [Cu(1,4-bcc)H]ClO(4) show the complexes to have the trans(O) geometry of the 1,4-bcc ligand, while the structure of [Cr(1,4-bcc)H(0.5)](ClO(4))(1.5).EtOH exhibits the cis(O) configuration.  相似文献

Treatment of the bmnpa (N,N-bis-2-(methylthio)ethyl-N-((6-neopentylamino-2-pyridyl)methyl)amine) ligand with equimolar amounts of Cd(ClO(4))(2).5H(2)O and Me(4)NOH.5H(2)O in CH(3)CN yielded the binuclear cadmium hydroxide complex [((bmnpa)Cd)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2).CH(3)CN (1). Complex 1 may also be prepared (a) by treatment of a CH(3)CN solution of (bmnpa)Cd(ClO(4))(2) (2) with 1 equiv of n-BuLi, followed by treatment with water or (b) from 2 in the presence of 1 equiv each of water and NEt(3). The hydroxide derivative 1 is not produced from 2 and water in the absence of an added base. Complex 1 possesses a binuclear structure in the solid state with hydrogen-bonding and CH/pi interactions involving the bmnpa ligand. The overall structural features of 1 differ from the halide derivative [((bmnpa)Cd)(2)(mu-Cl)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (3), particularly in that the Cd(2)(mu-OH)(2) core of 1 is symmetric whereas the Cd(2)(mu-Cl)(2) core of 3 is asymmetric. In acetonitrile solution, 1 behaves as a 1:2 electrolyte and retains a binuclear structure and secondary hydrogen-bonding and CH/pi interactions, whereas 3 is a 1:1 electrolyte, indicating formation of a mononuclear [(bmnpa)CdCl]ClO(4) species in solution. Treatment of 1 with CO(2) in anhydrous CH(3)CN yields the bridging carbonate complex [((bmnpa)Cd)(2)(mu-CO(3))](ClO(4))(2).CH(3)CN (4). Treatment of a chemically similar zinc hydroxide complex, [((benpa)Zn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (benpa = N,N-bis-2-(ethylthio)ethyl-N-((6-neopentylamino-2-pyridyl)methyl)amine, with CO(2) also results in the formation of a carbonate derivative, [((benpa)Zn)(2)(mu-CO(3))](ClO(4))(2) (5), albeit the coordination mode of the bridging carbonate moiety is different. Treatment of 4 with added water results in no reaction, whereas 5 under identical conditions will undergo reaction to yield the zinc hydroxide complex [((benpa)Zn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2).  相似文献

Solvothermal reactions of mixed ligands H(3)BTC and macrocyclic oxamide complexes (ML, M = Cu, Ni) with M(ClO(4))(2)·6H(2)O (M = Co, Zn, Ni and Cd) afford six new complexes, including [M'(4)(BTC)(2)(ML)(2)(OH)(2)(H(2)O)(2)]·2H(2)O (M' = Co, M = Ni, for (1); M' = Zn, M = Ni, for (2); M' = Zn, M = Cu, for (3)), [Ni(3)(BTC)(2)(NiL)(2)(H(2)O)(6)]·2CH(3)OH·2H(2)O (4), [Cd(4)(BTC)(2)(HBTC)(NiL)(4)(H(2)O)]·3H(2)O (5) and [Cd(HBTC)(CuL)]·H(2)O (6) (ML, H(2)L = 2, 3-dioxo-5, 6, 14, 15-dibenzo-1,4,8,12-tetraazacyclo-pentadeca-7,13-dien; H(3)BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid). Complexes 1-3 consist of a 2D layer framework formed by the linkage of M(II)(M = Ni, Cu) and M'(4) (M' = Co, Zn) cluster via the oxamide and BTC(3-) bridges and display a (3,6)-connected network with a (4(3))(2)(4(6).6(6).8(3)) topology. The structure of 4 consists of pentanuclear [Ni(II)(5)] units and arranges in a 1D cluster chain. Complex 5 exhibits a 2D layered structure characterized by 3,4,3-connected (4.6(2))(3)(4.6(3).8(2))(4(2).6(3).8)(4(2).6) topology. Complex 6 possesses a 3D network with sra topology. The magnetic properties of complexes 1 and 4 were investigated.  相似文献

A series of new 1D chain and 2D coordination polymers with cyclotriguaiacylene-type ligands are reported. A zig-zag 1D coordination chain is found in complex [Cd(2)(4ph4py)(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)(2)(DMA)(2)]·(NO(3))·(DMA)(4), where 4ph4py = tris[4-(4-pyridyl)benzoyl]-cyclotriguaiacylene and DMA = dimethylacetamide, while complex [Zn(4ph4py)(2)(CF(3)COO)(H(2)O)]·(CF(3)COO)(NMP)(7), where NMP = N-methylpyrrolidone, has a doubly bridged coordination chain structure. Complexes [M(3ph3py)(NO(3))(2)]·(NMP)(4) where M = Co or Zn, 3ph3py = tris[3-(3-pyridyl)benzoyl]cyclotriguaiacylene, are isostructural and feature 1D ladder coordination chains. Complexes [Cd(2)(4ph4py)(2)(NO(3))(4)(NMP)]·(NMP)(9)(H(2)O)(4) and [Co(4ph4py)(H(2)O)(2)]·(NO(3))(2)·(DMF)(2), where DMF = dimethylformamide, both have (3,4)-connected 2D coordination polymers with a rare (4(2).6(2))(4.6(2))(2) topology. A 2D coordination polymer with this topology is also found in complex [Co(2)(3ph4py)(2)(NO(3))(H(2)O)(5)]·(NO(3))(3)·(DMF)(9) where 3ph4py = tris[3-(4-pyridyl)benzoyl]cyclotriguaiacylene. All 2D coordination polymer complexes are interpenetrating or polycatenating. [Co(2)(3ph4py)(2)(NO(3))(H(2)O)(5)](3+)polymers form a 2D→3D polycatenation showing self-complementary "hand-shake" interactions between the host-type ligands.  相似文献

Reaction of ZnCl(2) and Me(2)biim (Me(2)biim = N,N'-dimethyl-2,2-'-biimidazole) in acidic or neutral aqueous solutions gave the noncoordinated ZnCl(4).H(2)Me(2)biim (1) or the double Me(2)biim bridged [Zn(2)Cl(4)(mu-Me(2)biim)(2)] (2). Use of CdX(2) (X = Cl, Br, I) instead of ZnCl(2) yielded the single Me(2)biim bridged one-dimensional coordination polymer [CdX(2)(mu-Me(2)biim)](n) (X = Cl, 3; Br, 4; I, 5). The stacking of the infinite chains are dominated by C-H...X interactions in 3 and 4 but by I...I interactions in 5, responsible for their different crystal structures. Use of Zn(NO(3))(2) instead of ZnCl(2) produced the novel triple Me(2)biim-bridged [Zn(2)(mu-Me(2)biim)(3)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(4).H(2)O (6). The unprecedented hexa-Me(2)bim bridged trinuclear [Cd(3)(mu-Me(2)biim)(8)](2)(ClO(4))(12)(H(2)O)(6) (7) was obtained by using Cd(CH(3)CO(2))(2) in the presence of NaClO(4). Compounds 1-7 were characterized by X-ray crystallography and IR. Examination of photophysical properties of 1-7 indicates that the fluorescence emission of Me(2)biim has been effectively enhanced, quenched, or shifted in its metal complexes 1-7.  相似文献

Metal complexation studies were performed with the ditopic pyrimidine-hydrazone (pym-hyz) strand 6-hydroxymethylpyridine-2-carboxaldehyde (2-methyl-pyrimidine-4,6-diyl)bis(1-methylhydrazone) (1) and Pb(ClO(4))(2)·3H(2)O, Pb(SO(3)CF(3))(2)·H(2)O, Zn(SO(3)CF(3))(2), and Zn(BF(4))(2) to examine the ability of 1 to form various supramolecular architectures. X-ray crystallographic and NMR studies showed that coordination of the Pb(II) salts with 1 on a 2:1 metal/ligand ratio in CH(3)CN and CH(3)NO(2) resulted in the linear complexes [Pb(2)1(ClO(4))(4)] (2), [Pb(2)1(ClO(4))(3)(H(2)O)]ClO(4) (3), and [Pb(2)1(SO(3)CF(3))(3)(H(2)O)]SO(3)CF(3) (4). Two unusually distorted [2 × 2] grid complexes, [Pb1(ClO(4))](4)(ClO(4))(4) (5) and [Pb1(ClO(4))](4)(ClO(4))(4)·4CH(3)NO(2) (6), were formed by reacting Pb(ClO(4))(2)·6H(2)O and 1 on a 1:1 metal/ligand ratio in CH(3)CN and CH(3)NO(2). These grids formed despite coordination of the hydroxymethyl arms due to the large, flexible coordination sphere of the Pb(II) ions. A [2 × 2] grid complex was formed in solution by reacting Pb(SO(3)CF(3))(2)·H(2)O and 1 on a 1:1 metal/ligand ratio in CH(3)CN as shown by (1)H NMR, microanalysis, and ESMS. Reacting the Zn(II) salts with 1 on a 2:1 metal/ligand ratio gave the linear complexes [Zn(2)1(H(2)O)(4)](SO(3)CF(3))(4)·C(2)H(5)O (7) and [Zn(2)1(BF(4))(H(2)O)(2)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(3)·H(2)O (8). (1)H NMR studies showed the Zn(II) and Pb(II) ions in these linear complexes were labile undergoing metal ion exchange. All of the complexes exhibited pym-hyz linkages in their cisoid conformation and binding between the hydroxymethyl arms and the metal ions. No complexes were isolated from reacting either of the Zn(II) salts with 1 on a 1:1 metal/ligand ratio, due to the smaller size of the Zn(II) coordination sphere as compared to the much larger Pb(II) ions.  相似文献

The copper(II) complexes [Cu(4)(1,3-tpbd)(2)(H(2)O)(4)(NO(3))(4)](n)(NO(3))(4n)·13nH(2)O (1), [Cu(4)(1,3-tpbd)(2)(AsO(4))(ClO(4))(3)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))(2)·2H(2)O·0.5CH(3)OH (2), [Cu(4)(1,3-tpbd)(2)(PO(4))(ClO(4))(3)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))(2)·2H(2)O·0.5CH(3)OH (3), [Cu(2)(1,3-tpbd){(PhO)(2)PO(2)}(2)](2)(ClO(4))(4) (4), and [Cu(2)(1,3-tpbd){(PhO)PO(3)}(2)(H(2)O)(0.69)(CH(3)CN)(0.31)](2)(BPh(4))(4)·Et(2)O·CH(3)CN (5) [1,3-tpbd = N,N,N',N'-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,3-benzenediamine, BPh(4)(-) = tetraphenylborate] were prepared and structurally characterized. Analyses of the magnetic data of 2, 3, 4, and [Cu(2)(2,6-tpcd)(H(2)O)Cl](ClO(4))(2) (6) [2,6-tpcd = 2,6-bis[bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amino]-p-cresolate] show the occurrence of weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the copper(II) ions, the bis-terdentate 1,3-tpbd/2,6-tpcd, μ(4)-XO(4) (X = As and P) μ(1,2)-OPO and μ-O(phenolate) appearing as poor mediators of exchange interactions in this series of compounds. Simple orbital symmetry considerations based on the structural knowledge account for the small magnitude of the magnetic couplings found in these copper(II) compounds.  相似文献

The work in the present investigation reports the syntheses, structures, steady state, and time-resolved photophysical properties of a tetraiminodiphenol macrocyclic ligand H(2)L and its eight dinuclear zinc(II) complexes and one cadmium(II) complex having composition [Zn(2)L(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2)·2CH(3)CN (1), [Zn(2)L(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2)·2dmf (2), [Zn(2)L(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2)·2dmf (3), [Zn(2)LCl(2)] (4), [Zn(2)L(N(3))(2)] (5), [Zn(2)L(NCS)(2)] (6), [Zn(2)L(NCO)(2)] (7), [Zn(2)L(NCSe)(2)](2)·dmf (8), and [Cd(2)L(OAc)(2)] (9) with various coordinating and noncoordinating anions. The structures of all the complexes 1-9 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The noncovalent interactions in the complexes result in the generation of the following topologies: two-dimensional network in 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9; three-dimensional network in 5. Spectrophotometric and spectrofluorometric titrations of the diprotonated salt [H(4)L](ClO(4))(2) with triethylamine as well as with zinc(II) acetate and cadmium(II) acetate have been carried out, revealing fluorescence enhancement of the macrocyclic system by the base and the metal ions. Steady state fluorescence properties of [H(4)L](ClO(4))(2) and 1-9 have been studied and their quantum yields have been determined. Time resolved fluorescence behavior of [H(4)L](ClO(4))(2) and the dizinc(II) and dicadmium(II) complexes 1-9 have also been studied, and their lifetimes and radiative and nonradiative rate constants have been determined. The induced fluorescence enhancement of the macrocycle by zinc(II) and cadmium(II) is in line with the greater rate of increase of the radiative rate constants in comparison to the smaller rate of increase of nonradiative rate constants for the metal complexes. The fluorescence decay profiles of all the systems, being investigated here, that is, [H(4)L](ClO(4))(2) and 1-9, follow triexponential patterns, revealing that at least three conformers/components are responsible to exhibit the fluorescence decay behavior. The systems and studies in this report have been compared with those in the reports of the previously published similar systems, revealing some interesting aspects.  相似文献

Xanthone-crown ether (1) reacts with NaClO(4), Mg(ClO(4))(2) and Al(ClO(4))(3) forming the one-dimensional chain dinuclear polymer [Na(2).1.(ClO(4))(2)] (2), the mononuclear complex [Mg.1.(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (3) and an interesting sandwich complex [Al.(1)(2).(H(2)O)(6)](ClO(4))(3) (4) with different ratios of metal-to-ligand, respectively. The anion recognition experiment results show that the magnesium complex (3) is a good colorimetric and fluorescent detector for HSO(4)(-) with high sensitivity and selectivity.  相似文献

Intramolecular ligand hydroxylation was observed during the reactions of dioxygen with the dicopper(I) complexes of the ligands L(1)(L(1)=alpha,alpha'-bis[(2-pyridylethyl)amino]-m-xylene) and L(3)(L(3)=alpha, alpha'-bis[N-(2-pyridylethyl)-N-(2-pyridylmethyl)amino]-m-xylene). The dinuclear copper(I) complex [Cu(2)L(3)](ClO(4))(2) and the dicopper(II) complex [Cu(2)(L(1)-O)(OH)(ClO(4))]ClO(4) were characterized by single-crystal X-ray structure analysis. Furthermore, phenolate-bridged complexes were synthesized with the ligand L(2)-OH (structurally characterized [Cu(2)(L(2)-O)Cl(3)] with L(2)=alpha, alpha'-bis[N-methyl-N-(2-pyridylethyl)amino]-m-xylene; synthesized from the reaction between [Cu(2)(L(2)-O)(OH)](ClO(4))(2) and Cl(-)) and Me-L(3)-OH: [Cu(2)(Me-L(3)-O)(mu-X)](ClO(4))(2)xnH(2)O (Me-L(3)-OH = 2,6-bis[N-(2-pyridylethyl)-N-(2-pyridylmethyl)amino]-4-methylphenol and X = C(3)H(3)N(2)(-)(prz), MeCO(2)(-) and N(3)(-)). The magnetochemical characteristics of compounds were determined by temperature-dependent magnetic studies, revealing their antiferromagnetic behaviour [-2J(in cm(-1)) values: -92, -86 and -88; -374].  相似文献

The reaction equilibria [H(4)L](2+) + Zn(OAc)(2) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(H(2)L)](2+) + 2HOAc (K(1)) and [Zn(H(2)L)](2+) + Zn(OAc)(2) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(2)L](2+) + 2HOAc (K(2)), involving zinc acetate and the perchlorate salts of the tetraiminodiphenol macrocycles [H(4)L(1)(-)(3)](ClO(4))(2), the lateral (CH(2))(n)() chains of which vary between n = 2 and n = 4, have been studied by spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric titrations in acetonitrile. The photoluminescence behavior of the complexes [Zn(2)L(1)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-O(2)CR)](ClO(4)) (R = CH(3), C(6)H(5), p-CH(3)C(6)H(4), p-OCH(3)C(6)H(4), p-ClC(6)H(4), p-NO(2)C(6)H(4)), and [Zn(2)L(3)(mu-OAc)](ClO(4)) have been investigated. The X-ray crystal structures of the complexes [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2), [Zn(2)L(3)(mu-OAc)](ClO(4)), and [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(OBz)(H(3)O)](ClO(4)) have been determined. The complex [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(OBz)(H(3)O)](ClO(4)) in which the coordinated water molecule is present as the hydronium ion (H(3)O(+)) on deprotonation gives rise to the neutral dibenzoate-bridged compound [Zn(2)L(2)(mu-OBz)(2)].H(2)O. The equilibrium constants (K) for the reaction [Zn(2)L(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2+) + A(-) right harpoon over left harpoon [Zn(2)L(2)A](+) + 2H(2)O (K), where A(-) = acetate, benzoate, or the carboxylate moiety of the amino acids glycine, l-alanine, l-histidine, l-valine, and l-proline, have been determined spectrofluorimetrically in aqueous solution (pH 6-7) at room temperature. The binding constants (K) evaluated for these systems vary in the range (1-8) x 10(5).  相似文献

A new pentacoordinate ligand based on TPA (tris-(2-pyridylmethyl)amine), namely, N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine-N-ethyl-2-pyridine-2-carboxamide (PaPy(3)H), has been synthesized. The iron(III) complexes of this ligand, namely, [Fe(PaPy(3))(CH(3)CN)](ClO(4))(2) (1), [Fe(PaPy(3))(Cl)]ClO(4) (2), [Fe(PaPy(3))(CN)]ClO(4) (3), and [Fe(PaPy(3))(N(3))]ClO(4) (4), have been isolated and complexes 1-3 have been structurally characterized. These complexes are the first examples of monomeric iron(III) complexes with one carboxamido nitrogen in the first coordination sphere. All four complexes are low spin and exhibit rhombic EPR signals around g = 2. The solvent bound species [Fe(PaPy(3))(CH(3)CN)](ClO(4))(2) reacts with H(2)O(2) in acetonitrile at low temperature to afford [Fe(PaPy(3))(OOH)](+) (g = 2.24, 2.14, 1.96). When cyclohexene is allowed to react with 1/H(2)O(2) at room temperature, a significant amount of cyclohexene oxide is produced along with the allylic oxidation products. Analysis of the oxidation products indicates that the allylic oxidation products arise from a radical-driven autoxidation process while the epoxidation is carried out by a distinctly different oxidant. No epoxidation of cyclohexene is observed with 1/TBHP.  相似文献

New homo trinuclear Zn(II) complexes [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O, 1, and [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)].ClO(4).PF(6).5CH(3)OH.H(2)O, 2, and hetero trinuclear complex [Zn(2)CuL(1)(micro-OAc)](ClO(4))(2).3CHCl(3).H(2)O,3, of optically active hexaaza triphenolic macrocycle H(3)L(1) were synthesized and crystallographically characterized. The cation [Zn(3)L(1)(micro-OAc)](+) structure of 1 and 2 closely resembles the trinuclear Zn(II) active site of P1 nuclease. The distorted tetrahedral geometry of Zn3 was successfully reproduced at Cu1 in complex 3. The complexes 2 and 3 cleave CT DNA at 37 and 50 degrees C.  相似文献
