叙述了γ探测器的14.1 MeV中子灵敏度标定原理和屏蔽方法,利用MCNP程序建模, 优化设计了对γ和中子高屏蔽性能的屏蔽体。 实验研究表明, 其信噪比最高达10∶1, 比测量点本身的信噪比1.35∶1提高了7倍, 从而实现了γ探测器的中子灵敏度标定。 It is introduced that a method and principle for calibrating 14.1 MeV neutron sensitivity of γ ray detector. A shield system for scattering neutrons and γ rays has been optimized by MCNP code. The experimental results show that the signal to noise ratio of the system is about 10:1, 7 times higher than the value of 1.35〖KG-*4〗∶〖KG-*4〗1 without shield system. Calibration of neutron sensitivity of γ ray detector is then accomplished.  相似文献

低能D(d,γ)4He辐射俘获反应截面的研究在聚变领域和天体物理等领域中起到非常重要的作用。由于受到标准γ源能量的制约,在研究D(d,γ)4He反应高能γ射线产额实验过程中不能用标准源进行效率刻度。采用实验测量与计算相结合的方法实现NaI探测器对23.8 MeV γ射线的效率刻度,先对6.13MeVγ射线效率进行实验刻度,然后用蒙卡程序MCNP-4C模拟计算出NaI探测器的效率曲线,再用实验数据与模拟结果进行对比校正,计算出NaI探测器在23.8MeV能量点对γ射线的探测效率。该方法对高能γ射线效率刻度给出了一种参考依据。In the study of D(d,γ)4He radiative capture reactions research, which is very important for fusion and astrophysics, the efficiency calibration of the detector is necessary. Due to the restriction on energy of the standard gamma source, the efficiency calibration of high-energy gamma-rays can not be calibrated by a standard source. In this paper, the method combining the experimental measurements and calculations for the efficiency calibrations of high energy gamma rays is given in the experiment of 6.13MeV gamma rays efficiency calibration using NaI detector, the efficiency curve of which is calculated by MCNP-4C and corrected experimentally. In this case, the detection efficiency of 23.8MeV gamma ray is known. The method provides a reference to high energy gamma ray efficiency calibration.  相似文献

运用MCNP5程序,建立了基于MIRD数字体模的肺部γ内污染模型以及NaI(Tl)探测器模型,模拟计算了NaI(Tl)探测器对基于MIRD数字体模的肺部γ内污染的探测效率,获得了在多种空间位置上对沉积在肺部的9 种能量 射线的探测效率。模拟结果表明,在不同位置的探测效率并不完全符合人体肺部的解剖学结构,在右下肺位置可获得最高的探测效率,左下肺次之,左上肺最低。在探测器位置固定的情况下,探测效率随能量的增加,有先增高后降低的现象。In order to obtain detection efficiencies of nine kinds of gamma rays emitted by isotopes deposited in lungs at various measurement geometry, Monte Carlo N-Particle Transport Code 5 (MCNP5) has been employed to for calculation. The results show that the detection efficiency in different locations of lung is not completely accord with human body’s anatomy structure. The efficiency decreases gradually from lower-right lung, to lowerleft lung, and then to upper-left lung. When the location of detector is fixed, with the increase of energy, thedetection efficiency rises up firstly and then falls down.  相似文献

对闪烁光在晶体内的传输以及光电子倍增过程进行了建模,基于GEANT4软件包对CsI(T1)闪烁体探测器进行了蒙特卡罗模拟, 得到了不同形状、尺寸和包装的CsI(Tl)晶体测量γ射线的能谱。对比模拟和测试结果,两者得到了很好的符合,从而验证了模拟参数的合理性和可靠性。该模拟程序的建立为闪烁体探测器的设计提供了更精确的开发工具。 With the modeling of the light transportation in crystal and electron multiplication in the PMT, a Monte Carlo simulation of CsI(Tl) scintillator detector has been implemented with Geant4 toolkit. The energy spectra simulated with different crystal shape, size and wrappings are obtained. And the reliability of the simulation parameters is confirmed by comparing with the measurements. 介绍了Si-APD的工作原理并对Si-APD中的暗电流进行了理论分析。基于RIBLL上产生的放射性核束流,使用CsI(Tl)+Si-APD探测器对中能重离子进行了能量测试。测试结果显示,CsI(Tl)+Si-APD探测器测量20 MeV/u的重离子时,可得到3%的能量分辨;同时还发现Si-APD中的暗电流大小以及入射粒子的能量大小都会对探测器的能量分辨产生影响。In this paper, the working principle of Si-APD was introduced and the dark current of Si-APD was analyzed theoretically. The intermediate energy heavy ions, which are produced on the RIBLL(Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou), were measured with CsI(Tl)+Si-APD detector. The energy resolution of CsI(Tl)+Si-APD detector is about 3% for heavy ions with energy around 20 MeV/u. It is also found that the energy resolution of detector can be in uenced by the dark current of Si-APD and the energy of incident particles.  相似文献

Neutron background measurement is always very important for dark matter detection due to almost the same effect for the recoiled nucleus scattered off by the incident neutron and dark matter particle. For deep under-ground experiments, the flux of neutron background is so low that large-scale detection is usually necessary. In this paper, by using Geant4, the relationship between detection efficiency and volume is investigated, meanwhile, two geometrical schemes for this detection including a single large-sized detector and arrayed multi-detector are compared under the condition of the same volume. The geometrical parameters of detectors are filtrated and detection efficiencies obtained under the similar background condition of China Jingping Underground Laboratory (CJPL). The results show that for a large-scale Gd-doped liquid scintillation detector, the detection efficiency increases with the size of detector at the beginning and then trends toward a constant. Under the condition of the same length and cross section, the arrayed multi-detector has almost similar detection performance as the single large-sized detector, while too much detector number could cause degeneration of detection performance. Considering engineering factors, such as testing, assembling and production, the 4 × 4 arrayed detector scheme is flexible and more suitable. Furthermore, the conditions for using fast and slow signal coincidence detection and the detectable lower limit of neutron energy are evaluated by simulating the light process.  相似文献

在兰州重离子加速器冷却储存环(HIRFL-CSR)的外靶终端(ETF),设计建造了一套多层CsI(Tl)望远镜探测器,用于对轻质量带电粒子的鉴别。这套探测器由7层CsI(Tl)晶体组成,每一层晶体光输出信号由4个光电倍增管分别在晶体4角读出。由于CsI(Tl)晶体对于重离子的响应是非线性的,且与入射离子的种类有关,这些因素使得对这台探测器的能量刻度需要做专门的研究。利用RIBLL2提供的能量在200 s~300 MeV/u的次级束流对探测器进行了测试,并针对第一片CsI(Tl)晶体的光输出以及所有CsI(Tl)晶体光输出的和的刻度方法分别进行了探索。在此能区下,第一片CsI(Tl)晶体猝灭现象可以近似忽略,即光输出与能量沉积近似呈线性。对于所有晶体光输出的和,利用一个经验公式对其进行刻度,利用这种刻度方法计算得到的光输出的值与实验测量值之间的差别小于5%。A multi-layer CsI(Tl) telescope has been designed and constructed at External Target in Facility (ETF) terminal of the Cooling Storage Ring of Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL-CSR), and is used for identifying light charged particles. The detector consists of seven layers of CsI(Tl) crystals, and the signals of each crystal are read out by four photomultipliers at the corners. Since the response of the CsI(Tl) crystal to the heavy ions is non-linear and also depends on the species of the incident ions, the energy calibration method of the telescope must be carefully studied. With the help of the secondary beams selected by RIBLL2 in the energy ranges from 200 to 300 MeV/u, the telescope has been tested and the energy calibration method for the first-layer crystal together with the whole telescope has been investigated. In this energy region, the quench effect in the first-layer crystal can be neglected and a linear expression can be used to represent the relation between the light output and the energy deposition in the crystal. To the total light output of the telescope, an empirical formula is used for the energy calibration. The difference between the calculated results and the experiment data is globally less than 5%.  相似文献

为了在CSRm的电子冷却器上进行辐射复合以及双电子复合实验, 需要探测能量小于4 MeV/u的离子, 因此设计了新的置于超高真空环境的CsI(Tl)闪烁探测器, 探测器采用的光电倍增管为R7525(Hamamatsu)。 介绍了新闪烁探测器的结构, 并对其进行了性能测试。 测试结果表明, 该探测器对高、 低能离子均有良好的响应, 探测器的信号十分明显。 探测器的最高计数率可以达到106 ions/s, 并且探测器附近的真空度可达10-10 Pa量级, 能够满足辐射复合与双电子复合实验以及储存环对真空的要求, 为今后在CSRm上进行复合实验打下了良好的基础。 A new CsI(Tl) scintillation detector readout with R7525 PMT(Hamamatsu)is designed to detect low energy (<4 MeV/u) ions in radiative recombination and dielectronic recombination experiments at the main cooler storage ring in Lanzhou. The structure of the scintillator detector is described in this paper. The detector is tested with α source and ion beams, respectively. The signals from background, 200 MeV/u C6+ and alpha radioactive source are recorded and analyzed. The results show that the detector has good response to high and low energy ions. The maximum counting rate of the detector can reach 106 ions/s and the vacuum level near the detector can reach 10-10 Pa, both are good for recombination experiments. The installation of the new detector to CSRm is of great help for future radiative recombination and dielectronic recombination experiments.  相似文献

利用几种单能γ源对BC501A型液体闪烁体探测器进行能量刻度, 以得到探测器对电子的光输出响应函数。 介绍了用蒙特卡罗模拟法确定康普顿边缘所对应的电子能量的方法, 得到的结果与用半高点确定康普顿边缘方法所得的结果做了比较。 利用德国PTB开发的PHRESP蒙特卡罗程序计算出液体闪烁体探测器对各种单能γ射线的光响应矩阵, 阐述了利用γ射线响应函数矩阵和γ射线的反冲电子谱求解待测γ能谱的原理, 对解谱的误差来源也进行了简要的分析。 The light output of the BC501A liquid scintillation detector for γ rays was calibrated by serial monoenergetic γ ray sources. The Monte Carlo simulation method to confirm Compton edge was described briefly. The result was compared with that obtained by the semi height method. The γ ray response matrix of BC501A liquid scintillation detector was calculated by the Monte Carlo code PHRESP from PTB. The method of using response function matrix and recoil electron spectrum to unfold γ ray energy spectrum was introduced and the error of unfolding spectrum was also briefly discussed.  相似文献

A test result of a module for the collision centrality detector array (CCDA), a simple detector array for the event classification of the centrality, is presented. The CsI(Tl) module has PMTs on both ends to read out signals. The beam test results indicate that it provides a good light charged particles (LCP) identification and a reasonable energy resolution. 采用蒙特卡罗方法模拟计算光子的探测效率需对高纯锗( HPGe ) 探测器进行准确的建模。模拟计算研究了HPGe 晶体长度对探测效率的影响,并在空间不同的测量位置对放射源进行测量,将模拟计算与实验测量相结合,对探测器晶体的尺寸进行调整,获得了HPGe 探测器晶体的模拟计算的准确尺寸,并在122s1 332 keV 能量范围内对模拟结果进行了验证。结果表明,在此能量范围内HPGe 探测器的探测效率的模拟计算值与实验测量值的相对偏差大多数在5% 内,并建立点源探测效率与探测器轴向距离的关系。The accurate shape of HPGe detector is needed in order to calculate its detection efficiency with Monte Carlo methods. In our calculation, the influence of the HPGe crystal size on efficiency has been investigated; the final crystal sizes were determined by comparison with experiments and were validated by the experimental efficiency obtained at several source-to-detector positions. The results show that when the crystal dimensions determined are used to calculate the detection efficiency in the energy range 122s1 332 keV, the relative deviations between simulated and most experimental results were within 5%. In addition, the relationship between detection efficiency and axial distance to detector was established.  相似文献

The detection of dark matter has made great progresses in recent years. We give a brief review on the status and progress in dark matter detection, including the progresses in direct detection, collider detection at LHC and focus on the indirect detection. The results from PAMELA, ATIC, Fermi-LAT and relevant studies on these results are introduced. Then we give the progress on indirect detection of gamma rays from Fermi-LAT and ground based Cerenkov telescopes. Three large sized glass resistive plate chambers (RPCs) are built and applied to measure the spatial resolution of the detector. The readout strips are collected to a LC delay-line and the time difference is used to determine the position. Cosmic rays are triggered by a set of two scintillation counters and the coincidently measured positions from the three RPCs are used to deduce the position uncertainty. In average a spatial resolution of 0.90 mm (FWHM) is obtained for a single RPC, with a good uniformity across the detection area. This result suggests that large sized glass RPC operating in the avalanche mode is a promising candidate for the muon tomography detection system.  相似文献

A novel dual-emitter vacuum Compton detector (D-VCD) with higher gamma ray detecting efficiency is proposed. The emitters are made of Ta--Al clad metal. The gamma ray sensitivity is studied by Monte Carlo simulation using the MCNP code. A comparison between calculations and results measured by using the 1.25~MeV gamma ray of Co-60 is also performed. Experimental sensitivities for two sample D-VCDs with the same materials and structures are 1.92×10^ - 20 and 2.02×10^ - 20~C.cm2/MeV separately, which are consistent with the simulation result of 1.98×10^ - 20~C.cm2/MeV and are 4 times higher than that of VCD with a single Fe emitter. According to the simulation results, in a gamma energy range from 0.5 to 3~MeV, the maximum sensitivity variance for the D-VCD is less than 15%, and less than 5% in a range from 1 to 2~MeV in particular. The novel D-VCD is applicable to the detection of intense pulse gamma rays.  相似文献

A precision measurment of inclusive electron scattering cross sections is carried out at Jefferson Lab in the quasi-elastic region for 4He, 12C, 56Fe and 208Pb targets. The longitudinal (RL) and transverse (RT) response functions of the nucleon need to be extracted precisely in the momentum transfer range 0.55 GeV/c≤|q|≤1.0 GeV/c. To achieve the above goal, a NaI (Tl) calorimeter is used to distinguish good electrons from background, including pions and low energy electrons rescattered from the walls of the spectrometer magnets. Due to a large set of kinematics and changes in HV settings, a number of calibrations are performed for the NaI (Tl) detector. Corrections for a few blocks of NaI (Tl) with bad or no signal are applied. The resolution of the NaI (Tl) detector after calibration reached (δE)/√E ≈ 3% at E=1 GeV. The performance of the NaI (Tl) detector is compared with a simulation. The good calibration and background analysis for the NaI(Tl) detector are very important for the reduction of the systematic error of cross sections and the separation of RL and RT.  相似文献
